Explora is the best ! We have been coming here for years. It’s always clean, organized, staffed, and they just have great activities for kids to explore. We also enjoy the playground outside and the nature area! Great for all ages. They even have a science crawlers area for the little ones. It’s fun for the parents too. We like the craft area!

LOVED this place! Super fun and super educational! My kiddos could have spent forever in the bubble experimenting room. My older child loved building robots. Everyone was incredibly kind and patient-more than one employee stopped to interact with my children or do a brief demonstration. Clean bathrooms, gift shop, sensory chill room, nursing room, outdoor playground, crawl space for small babies, and LOTS of science exhibits.

We went for the first time and my 7yo loved it so much she made me promise we could get a membership when we move to Albuquerque. It’s such a wonderful resource for children to get hands on experience to learn how the world around them works.

Great for all ages! Explora is located in the heart of Old Town and near Interstate 40. There is also plenty of parking spaces available. Explora welcomes adults too, not just the kids. I don't have a small child but still went for my adult outing at this interactive museum. Explora was being renovated (at my time of visit), but looks like it is going to be even more beautiful with many areas and things for all kids to do. Explora offers intellectual concepts, imaginative play and physical activities. I found it to be clean, staff walking around and there are just great activities to explore. I did not utilize the playground outside but it looked like fun. Inexpensive, fun, and not too busy if you have a 10:00am timed entry ticket. Would go again! Enjoy...

Had a great time! We were worried it was going to be too childish for a 13 year old, but the exhibits we're intriguing throughout. Low price, lots of fun, and not too busy despite the fact we went on a Sunday. Would go again!

Such a great place for kids to have fun exploring and learning about science. Lots of different exhibits. Nursing area and calm down space available. The top floor has an outdoor area with blue blocks to let kids explore making their own play structure come to life. Our 8, 13, and 14 year old all found something to do! The older kids especially loved the tightrope bike. Staff was very friendly and the elevator is worth checking out :)

The whole family has a great time every time we visit! We went this time when JTD did their final fun day of summer so it was free! Our favorite part is the tree fort area in the back outside behind the playground. It really is a hidden gem area!

I love this place! There was so much to see and touch here that I hardly know where to begin. I took our autistic nonverbal daughter here and was amazed to see just how much reaction I got from her at the many wondrous displays geared toward young and open minds. There are moving visual objects, amazing water displays, an audio section, live animals, plants, motion displays, what it feels like to fly a small airplane, the list goes on and on. We only got to 1/4 of the place in the 2.5 hours we were there, so we’ll have to return again.

The explora is always a good time. My family took me there when I was a kid and now I get to take my kid there to enjoy much of the same things I did. Unfortunately the life size Lincoln logs aren't there anymore, but they were replaced with these foam building blocks that were just as fun. Also super reasonably priced, if I lived in the area I would come here all the time.

A fun place to learn about science and math, and art. Lots of high-quality, highly interactive experiences, in the form of science exhibits for toddlers, elementary school students, middle school and high school students and adults. The newest wing opened in 2023, offering city waste water treatment and solar power experiences, and a maker lab with a 3-d printer. And a small Cafe is on site. This place has been growing for decades and they have a lot of experience in doing high quality experiences and exhibits. For example a metal turn table with billard (pool) game balls to demonstrate centrifugal force and gravity force. It's a fun lesson on physics.

My grandson, age 9 loved it! And I, his parents welcomed feeling like a kid again! Explora is an 100% interactive experience. The staff is spot on if ever needed, and there's plenty of room so to never feel crowded. Can't wait for their expansion work to be completed and enjoy the new additions

The kids had a blast! Worth every penny! They even had a bicycle you could ride on a highwire suspended over the first floor. The cafe had delicious tea and a tasty looking menu. They were, unfortunately, out of the blue corn waffles on a stick when we were there so I might have to go back. I'm sure the kids will be in full support!

Excellent place. We had such a fun time, even the adults 😁 There are so many things to do and try and the toddler area is a total game changer. Definitely come here if you’re in the area.

Fun and entertaining! I love science and coming here is wonderful! Every time I visit here I never have the opportunity to visit the entire building. There is so much to see and experience!

We had such a great time at Explora and can't wait to go back. Lots of hands-on activities for all interests. If you've never been or been but never been in the elevator definitely check it out for a special surprise. Our group is sensitive to sound and overstimulation so we went early. It did get crowded and loud so if that is an issue for your group, plan accommodations and try for a weekday or early. Overall highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again.

We are first time visitors and as parents of toddlers take advantage of the Mondays from 9-11 am because your babies will get more from the staff. We had a great time. I was exhausted.

This was our family's first time at Explora. Love the concept and the activities. My oldest and youngest absolutely LOVED it, my ASD child was very overwhelmed. Luckily for him, we found a quieter place where we stayed and did arts and crafts. Next time I know to take proper regulators.

This is the best place to bring kids from 3 to 99. Outdoor spaces to explore including jungle-gym let's the kids get out and get some energy spent. Indoor spaces are numerous to explore. You'll have to come back multiple times to explore each area in depth. If you don't know the science, seems like there are always volunteers nearby to explain. Don't forget to take a ride in the huge elevator including multiple couches and displays. Rooftop areas to explore other play and science activities. Conveniently across the street from the Museum of Natural History (Dinosaurs!)

It’s a great exploration space for science lovers. All activities and experiments are very curious and interactive for kids. My son really enjoyed exploring light sound wind in action 😀 must visit for sure

Explora Albuquerque does not disappoint. You and your kiddos will kind uddles of interactive STEM displays for their (and your) curious minds. The facility is thoughtfully laid out with something fun and interesting at every turn. Wind tunnels, marble works, bubbles, music/sound making, heat camera, craft area (upstairs), fountains, the list is endless. Staff are helpful yet let you and your kiddos explore at your pace. We definitely recommend going on a weekday as weekends are probably very crowded. Enjoy!!!

Great time for youngest and oldest. A stop that every family need to do, with a +200 interactive stands of math, science, workshop, vibration, magnetic and sounds. we take around 3:00 hrs to go thru all activities.

Fun place. The kids liked it. Senior and student discounts. Located in the heart of Albuquerque, near Old Town so you can take the kids to have fun then go look around Old Town and shop, have a glass of wine, or have lunch. Website says masks are required but masks are *not* required. Yay! There’s a super cool elevator. Pics included in this review. Make sure you ride that! The elevator has a piano and couches.

It's a cool and neat place very scattered for the most part .. it was kinda hard to understand wat exactly you should do with each experiment but the park area in back was cool with the big chairs outside !

Fabulous venue! We are members and it’s well worth the money. I love that they will let the babysitter in with the boys with our family membership. I was a little worried my toddler would be too young but they have areas that are just for him and a wide array of areas with different things that he can use and learn from. Really happy to have this amazing place to keep his mind exploring new concepts.

My kids had so much fun exploring. Many attractions inside even with a small area closed. Outdoor park and water activities as well. No Cafe but seems like you can bring some snacks and eat outside. Pricing was good; $6 per child (I came on a Wednesday) and they have military discount as well.

The kids love it here. There's so much to do and see. The only problem is parents don't watch their kids and we couldn't do a few things because kids would not move from the spot. But we moved on and it was fine! They added new water activities outside that kept their attention for about 30 mins! I have an 11 yo, 8yo, 5 yo and 3 yo. They were all kept interested. They also have a toddler area, a nursing area and a quiet area for kids who get overstimulated. It's such a fun place.
