Absolutely gorgeous! I could spend all day every weekend out there. We took family pictures out there but the scenery is breath taking. Lots of local shops with unique items and great restaurants but I have to say the scenery and atmosphere is what I absolutely love and what keeps me wanting to spend my time out there.

Such a wonderful revitalized area. It was fantastic that the original homes and history have been respected / restored and used for retail. The park was well kept and looking beautiful. Definitely worth the side trip!

Cool stores. Old mission, lots of cool jewelry. A few bars for a drink and some good food options. Nice square in the center to chill out in. Cheap parking 1.00 for 30 minutes. Free parking close by. Restrooms on the far west side.

So, I relocated to Albuquerque back in July 2020 and visited Old Town on day 3 after arriving. At the time, things were really bad with Covid and a lot of the shops were closed and it felt very much like a ghost town. I finally made it back to Old Town a few weeks ago and it was very busy, the shops and such were all open and Old Town had a much more positive impact on me the 2nd time around. There are some great restaurants (many consider Antiquity restaurant located here to be the best restaurant in the entire city. I have not made it there for dinner, yet, but I hope to real soon), as well as breweries in Old Town, and countless shops to stroll through. There were also vendors selling their wares on the sidewalk. I'd say you can probably see most everything in an hour and a half or less, unless you stop for a meal...or a beer. There is also an interesting shop dedicated to the TV show Breaking Bad which was filmed and set here in Albuquerque. I never knew one show could have so much various merchandise to offer. I definitely would recommend a visit to Old Town especially if you're visiting from out of town. There is a lot of history here. There is also an absolutely beautiful historic Catholic church here named San Felipe de Neri Church that dates back to 1793 that you should check out. It's beautiful. The only 2 possible drawbacks I see concerning Old Town is that it can at times get really crowded with tourists and that a lot of the shops and such are a bit on the pricey side. But hey, if you're on a strict budget you can still walk around and window shop. Old Town is totally worth a visit.

Old Town Albuquerque is a cultural and historical treasure that captures the essence of New Mexico's rich heritage. My visit to this charming district left me enchanted and inspired by the fusion of history, art, and local flavors. The moment I entered Old Town, I felt transported back in time. The architecture, with its adobe buildings, intricate ironwork, and wooden balconies, creates an authentic and rustic atmosphere. It's as if the past and present coexist harmoniously, inviting you to explore the area's historical roots. The heart of Old Town, the Plaza, is a bustling hub of activity. It's surrounded by shops, galleries, restaurants, and historic landmarks. Strolling through the Plaza, I had the chance to admire the craftsmanship of local artisans, from beautiful jewelry to traditional pottery and artwork that beautifully reflects the cultural diversity of New Mexico. The San Felipe de Neri Church, with its striking twin bell towers, is a centerpiece of Old Town and adds to the area's historical significance. Inside, the church is a serene space that offers a quiet respite from the vibrant streets outside. Cuisine in Old Town is a delightful blend of traditional New Mexican and Southwestern flavors. I couldn't resist the temptation to savor dishes like green chile stew and enchiladas, which offered a delicious taste of the region. Perhaps what I appreciated most about Old Town was its people. The residents and shopkeepers are warm, welcoming, and proud of their heritage. They readily share stories and insights about the history of the area, adding a personal touch to the visitor experience. In summary, Old Town Albuquerque is a captivating destination that immerses you in the cultural tapestry of New Mexico. Whether you're interested in history, art, or simply enjoying the vibrant atmosphere, Old Town offers a memorable and enriching experience. It's a place where the past comes to life, and where tradition and modernity blend seamlessly, making it a must-visit for anyone exploring the Land of Enchantment.

We love our annual holiday walk through Old Town Plaza. It's festive and has all the NM vibes you've been wanting! It's not just a must for out of owners - the locals, like us, love it too!

Old town Albuquerque is a great place to shop and find authentic products. It’s has many shops to explore with very beautiful art, clothing, jewelry, cafe, and ice cream shops. Prices are reasonable. Depending on day and time you go can be crowded. Beautiful site to see. Pay to park. Lots of walking. Recommend you wear a good pair of comfortable shoes.

I highly recommend stopping by the historic plaza. The stores are a mix of old and new, each with a wealth of unique cultural history and keepsakes. I suggest coming by in the late afternoon for shopping...and listening to regional music (if available).

Beautiful downtown area. MOST shops close at 5 so make sure you go early. It's lit up beautifully but becomes like a ghost town after dark... except Church street Cafe, ate there one night and it's a beautiful old hacienda, food was amazing!

We were lucky enough to visit on a Monday afternoon and found free parking quite easily around the plaza. Additionally, the place was fully decorated for day of the dead festival. There are no public restrooms. My granddaughter needed to use the restroom and the only café or bakery Would allow her to use if we purchase something. Hence, we purchase something. It is a very dog friendly place and most stores allow your dogs inside. There is no playground for the children. Just FYI.

What a wonderful day to stroll around the Old Town Plaza. It's the middle of June and the weather is fantastic. Lots of shops. More reasonably priced then Santa Fe. Lots of coffee shops. Bought a lot of gifts!

We were lucky to go on a Monday afternoon and found lots of free parking. It was not at all crowded. The gazebo in the middle of the park had decorations for day of the dead. My little granddaughter wanted to use a restroom but the restaurant people said we had to purchase something in order to use the restroom. The central Plaza does not have any playground for the children.

It's like going back in time. Beautiful old church in the middle of the Plaza. Amazing stores with items for the whole family. Native American jewelry vendors on the Eastside of the Plaza, We purchased several items from them. We bought beautiful Mexican blankets and knives for our four adult Son's with their names engraved on them. Also make sure and visit The Breaking Bad Store, it's amazing and even have a small museum inside.

We went on Christmas Eve for the holidays and it was absolutely gorgeous. Old Town is the core to New Mexican culture. You can find a lot of yummy foods and unique southwestern gifts. The only flaw is that it's hard to find parking.

Place has changed... but still a wonderful place! Hadn't been there since we got married at the gazebo 14 years ago! Brought back lots of memories from then and from my childhood. Beautiful as always! People are nice and friendly.

This is a must visit if you come to ABQ. Awesome shops, food, cafes and entertainment. I came during the day for a little souvenir shopping and just to walk around. Great for families, adults and kids.

Beautiful and quiet spot. We got there before opening around 830am and watched the store owners open, heard them sax-man start his day warming up on “somewhere over the rainbow”. A must stop and spend some time shopping!

Great spot for all Tourists! They have live music and great shops. They have local vendors and a mesmerizing scenery! Parking lot is small and there is a fee to pay. You can also drive through the place if you dont want to get down. They have a local high-end steakhouse, pizza place, ice cream, and can't miss out on this really antique church!

Old Town Square was an interesting place and encourage you to visit when you are in the Albuquerque area. I was there to check out a few shops for souvenirs to take home and along the way, stopped in the square to admire the foliage and leaves that fell creating what I thought to be a picturesque moment. We strolled around and visited a few shops and outside vendors. Recommend for everyone - there is something worth checking out.

More stores than you can shake a walking stick at. Yes, cliche, but succinct. Everything is quite pricey, but you just might find that something special. We found exactly what we were looking for, and we hope you will too. Very relaxing and reminiscent stroll through Old Town as we lived here from 1998-2001 while serving in the army.

Awesome area with tons of shops, restaurants, art studios, and local stores to get amazing souvenirs, clothes, and trinkets at! Highly recommended a bunch of things to explore and the old buildings are really cool. Live musicians around as well to make it for a lovely ambiance.

Nice cozy old town with coffee shops, wine tasting rooms, gem/crystal, tea/honey, tons of craft stores, old church at the center. Definitely a good Sunday stroll! Many old style decorated alleys to walk around. Paid for 2 hr parking initially. But end up extending it to 4 hours! Barely enough to discover the district.

I can't even begin to describe how breath taking the plaza was. So many unique shops and sites to visit. Street performers filled the air. Museums and art and there were local vendors selling handmade jewelry. Just an overall pleasant experience

Very much a happy accidental find. I was burning some time before picking up a friend at the airport and I walked into live music, food trucks, local craft artisans, shops, and a few seemingly nice restaurants. The vibe was excellent, all the food smelled great, and the music provided a very upbeat feel.

Beautiful part of Albuquerque, a must visit! Great architecture and good place for souvenir shopping.. not far from airport or downtown Albuquerque. Very accessible and plenty of road side parking.

Sadly in decline. NO RESTAURANTS on the plaza itself. One in the alley a half block north, and Annie's at Mountainair, and another a half block north of that, but they all close at 9 pm even on Fridays and Saturdays. The traditional La Hacienda and Placitas have been closed for years. The street taco place a half block east, which was open in 2018, has closed. The ice cream place or something like that on the west side? Closed. You can find more wine bars, or even one wine and spirits both hooch-tasting bar. Pass. The only advantage this trip is the place on the south side that sells the Southwestern scents incense bricks was still open. Probably, even if I am flying in/out of Duke City on any further vacations, my last visit specifically to Old Town.

Figuring out the parking here is a little tricky, initially we drove past either direction a couple times. But once we got into this adorable little town area. It was super cool to walk around. Plenty of trendy touristy things, but also felt like it had a reasonable amount of the old town vibe still. we happened on it during the day of a car show which was super fun. A whole bunch of wineries to wine taste.

It's a nice place to take pictures for Christmas season with beautiful decorations and a church ⛪. There is also good gift shops to buy presents. As you can see in the picture, it has so many space to sit and hangout too. I haven't tried any of the restaurants there yet. We tried candy shop which has so many choices for candies and chocolates. Definitely recommend for simple but beautiful family pictures there!!!
