Its a cute little area within the unm college campus. Its frequently visited by everyone. I would advise those walking dogs to keep them on leashes though. Ducks, geese, turtles have a nice habitat here

Beautiful spot, dog-friendly, easy to reach, nearby parking, lots of charming and natural spots for photo sessions, a great place to sit and relax qith a book and enjoy a bit of nature in the middle of an urban sprawl. Parking is limited, but can be found nearby and busses run frequently.

Beautifully landscaped pond plentiful with ducks and a few geese. Great place to sit back on the grass or a bench and just relax. Or, you know, study.

This is a most beautiful oasis on the UNM campus. A lovely pond with ducks, turtles, birds, shady greenery, and colorful flowers gives lively students a respite from the desert heat and intense study.

A very calm place to take kids to kill time or have a picnic. My kids(age 12, 6 and 2) love coming here and feeding the ducks. Watching for turtles and fishes, and they even have some goose or swans here. The fowls will follow you a bit if you feed them, but they do not bite or chase. It's a beautiful scenic area

Still lovely! Always a beautiful relaxing spot to go It's a great spot to go on a first date or even just a meet up with a friend for the 1st time kind of a thing. More often than not the sub is open and you can walk up to the Southern go inside for a cold drink or something to eat if you need or want there's plenty of shade all around the entire pond you can walk across the bridge just if you want photographs it's a great spot to go as well. I see a lot of young beginning photographers bring there's Spring there people out here and I understand why in fact I went to the school for photography back in the day when they still had multiple dark rooms lol. And it's a beautiful area it feels 100% different than anywhere else in Albuquerque to me I feel like I'm in ducane Pennsylvania or something and just able to relax there's plenty of space for everyone and when I say everyone I mean a lot of people whether they'well whether there's already 20 other groups of people out there doesn't matter there's still gonna be another 20 plus spots. UNM security is great too and there are call buttons all around if you need them same with U and empolice they have their own substation on campus so you can feel secure I would definitely not take my eye off my kids though But at the same time I wouldn't worry about them running around in front of me at the duck pond the duck pond it's a beautiful area, And because we are closer to The Valley the shade and the water allow it to cool Off along with sitting in the grass. So I can't say enough good things about it great place to go great place to take your dog they have bags there if you don't bring any normally but please clean up after yourself.. Trash cans are scattered about also there's a lot of amazing history and amazing art in the entire University and very close by as well to the pond upon so how'd recommend exploring a tiny bit look at the brutalist architecture compared to the Adobe looking structures . Or the 1st installment are ever purchased which is the center of the universe pithe universe piece which a lot of people don't know extends downward as far as it goes upward but that is just South of the duck pond on the main on the main path towards the other fountains which are fun too.

As an Albuquerque NM photographer, clients frequently ask me for suggestions for outdoor photos for senior, graduation, and family photos. The UNM Duck Pond is always high on my list because of its 24/7 availability, the variety of vistas, and the availability of shade.

One of my family's favorite outings is going to the duck pond to feed the ducks/pigeons. Very calm and quiet, nice shady spots to sit.

Every time I come here, I have a good time. I always take a photo of the pond with the ducks, the turtles and even the fish. Lots of shaded area on grassy knolls to make you forget you live in a desert.

This is a great spot to be close to nature. It is well maintained, and is never too busy.

Free Parking without a university pass on weekends. It's a nice little pond in the middle of the city and perfect for a picnic or just a nice walk.

Nice green relaxing space in thr middle of Albuquerque. The big adirondack chairs they keep there are so comfortable. Great spot for a picnic or to go read. Turtles in the pond are a bonus.

A great place to relax and unwind on campus. The ducks and turtles that live there add an extra bit of life and peace that brings the whole spot together. Having lunch, reading a book or just sitting by the pond can really give a moment of clarity that is appreciated when dealing with the stress of college life.

What should I say in a review about a duck pond within a university's campus? It's not all it's quacked up to be? Maybe they should hire Dr. Dolittle to get the ducks' opinion? To be honest, it's a duck pond. While taking a shortcut through the university to get to an off-campus destination nearby, it was my first time passing through, but it did brighten my day and given me a reason to return. It was not the largest or most spectacular duck pond that I've seen, but it was well maintained, and the wooden bridge overlooking it seemed inviting. My dog and I will most likely check it out again.

I was only a part time student, but while walking to class after work, I can see how this would be relaxing. I'm still trying to get my crush to say "I doesn't here. Pray for me, she hard headed
