Mariposa is well taken care of and has something for everyone. Biking, walking, jogging, and running paved trails. Large open grass for games. Basketball courts, baseball fields and a nice playground.

Nice, large grassy park, with basketball court and children's playground. Has a pond that has ducks, huge fish, and turtles. You'll see them if you toss bread into pond. There was an ice cream 🍦 truck that appeared twice in an afternoon.

I was so happy to be there for the annual Balloon Fiesta! It was magical, for a lack of a better word. It was AWESOME so see and with all them floating overhead on a pretty morning in October. I saw many shapes and sizes. I loved the museum and the interesting history of the fiesta and balloons in general. A free interactive areas and the park was well kept and clean.

This is my favorite park. It's field is giant and my kids love to practice soccer here. It's also a beautiful spot for a stroll. The playground is great, handicap accessible as well. I love playing on it lol. My knees give me a lot of grief so it's nice to have the ramp. The trees next to the playground are my favorite space to be. I do yoga under the trees while my kids play. It's very peaceful.

Mariposa basin park is always very beautiful to go for a walk around the park especially during sunrise or sunset! My dog loves it too, it's also nice too for the little kids to take bread to feed the ducks as well! My favorite part is the big butterfly infront of the park right by the sign! Super big park eith enough space for every group to have there space and there privacy! The parking is also very spacey! Definitely do enough it and always have to recommend going to the park when they have a couple of food trucks and vendors out in the parking lot selling all the yummy 😋 and local food and treats! A. Wry peaceful park as well!

This is a beautiful park with a pond. It was well built and nice and clean. Always plenty of other kids for your kids to play with.

The good: Lots of open space with a playground, swings, basketball hoops, football field and a water pond. The bad: there are dozens if not hundreds of geese that visit the pond and as such nearly every square inch of the field and parts of the playground are covered in goose/bird droppings.

Park is beautiful and clean. Bathrooms are available, but filthy. There was a lot of shade within the park. Parking has some shade. Their kids' play area is small and not shaded. Great for BBQ and Picnics. Dog friendly, didn't see poop bag stations.

I love this park, it's beautiful, dog-friendly, and just an all-around good place to spend an hour or two on a nice day. There's a relatively large gazebo available for public use (first come, first served), but it's easily big enough for a birthday party or some other type of celebration. Saturday mornings seems to be when local sports teams make use of the baseball fields, and I think maybe Sunday (during the fall) sees little football players take the field. Park is clean and well-maintained, staff is very friendly. On-site workout equipment, as well.

Beautiful park! The restrooms could have been better managed, though. Some wild geese flew in. That was a treat! Love seeing so much activity - families bringing dogs & kiddos. Great environment!

Walking the trails is super nice! Fun playground for kids and you can loop basically any part of the park.

This is a great park to have any type of event!! Has a pond that is really relaxing. It can be busy on the weekends but during the week it is nice. Has a small work out gym. Lots of space. Love this park

This park sits quietly in the suburbs of Northwest Albuquerque; just a few miles away from Petroglyph National Monument. It's popular amongst locals and park-goers alike for a number of reasons. Large green fields of grass cover the majority of its surface area, making sports easy to organize as well as other special events. Another reason being good infrastructure: several baseball fields sit at the southern end of the park and play equipment is also heavily featured should your little one(s) need a place to expel excess energy. Walking trails are also present and appear to be favored most by local high school cross country and track teams. Last but not least, the duck ponds that lie at the epicenter of the park endows it with both its unique identity and tranquility. A wonderful park that sits quietly in Albuquerque's Northwest side.

Visited this park as a jumping off point for a hot air balloon ride. It was beautiful and serene early in the morning, but I didn't see any mariposas. Would give the 5 stars but the bathrooms we're really gross.

Mariposa Basin Park is amazing. Grounds are clean. Used the gazebo and had a wonderful time. Had our 50th class reunion and everyone enjoyed themselves. Plenty of parking!

I think the park is nice , yet would be nice if they could more more big trees around the big field where there's just grass so the dogs can have a nice shady place to run and play , I know they're supposed to be on their leashes , yet sometimes when there's not a lot of other dogs in the park , one can run and play , the dogs need running and playing time off of their leashes , free time 😇🐕🌨️☁️🌧️🌠⛈️💟🤍💙⭐💖✝️🐕✨😇

👍👍 Wonderful place to be when the Fiesta is happening. Well worth the admission fee. Get there early for the Dawn Patrol. Walk near the balloons as the team put them out to begin the inflation.
