This
trail
is
great,
since
it's
mostly
limited
to
people
on
foot.
Very
occasionally
I've
seen
people
on
horseback,
but
no
mountain
bikes
and
no
motorized
traffic
at
all.
Within
a
mile
you
run
into
some
"attractions",
which
means
this
trail
can
be
satisfying
to
people
who
are
unable
to
commit
to
a
lengthier
and
more
time
consuming
hike.
Altitude
gain
is
rapid
and
the
incline
provides
for
a
good
cardiovascular
workout.
I
hit
this
trail
regularly.
I
used
to
go
every
morning,
before
work.
These
days,
I
only
go
on
Saturday,
early.
Parking
is
limited,
and
it's
a
VERY
popular
trail.
As
such,
I
highly
recommend
getting
an
early
start.
The
downside
to
the
trail
is
the
sheer
volume
of
traffic.
The
main
reason
I
quit
going
so
often
was
in
a
feeble
attempt
to
reduce
impact.
Too
many
people,
all
loud
it
seems.
I
mean
REALLY
loud.
People
with
music
playing,
people
who
were
(apparently)
born
without
an
indoor
voice,
lots
of
screaming
children,
people
who
bring
remote
control
cars
(with
their
whinny
little
electric
motors),
and
all
manner
of
other
noise...
I
was
even
there
once
when
a
crew
was
filming
a
movie
or
something.
Their
actor's
only
line
was
"NOOOOOOO!!!!"
They
did
a
LOT
of
takes...
*sigh*
Violations
of
posted
restrictions
to
the
area
are
common.
People
camp
overnight,
in
spite
of
the
signs
posted
prohibiting
it.
People
bring
dogs,
but
fail
to
keep
them
on
leashes.
People
bring
dogs,
but
fail
to
pick
up
their
mess.
People
fail
to
remove
their
own
waste
too.
Oh
I
mean
they
certainly
leave
trash,
but
I'm
talking
about
actual
human
feces...
People
are
disgusting...
Other
than
the
human
element,
however,
it's
a
great
trail.
