Haynes is a huge park with some picnic tables, grills for charcoal, a gazebo, a (rentable?) Pavillion, and a playground with some unusual equipment. The swimming pool is part of Rio Rancho's pool system {NOT City of Albuquerque's}. Lots of shady trees. Doggie poop stations available 🐕.

I recently visited the ever-popular Haynes Park, and let me tell you, it was a zoo. Just the spot if you love massive crowds! I could barely find a parking spot with the chaotic sea of cars spilling out of the lot. And making my way anywhere in the park was next to impossible with hordes of people swarming every inch like ants at a picnic. Excellent for some personal space! The playground was straight-up overwhelmed by shrieking kids running wild. Don’t even think about actually using the equipment - the lines were ridiculous. Try again never! And the walking paths and fields? Just forget about having any room to move around and y’know, walk or play sports. They were more congested than downtown at rush hour. I adore weaving through mobs of bodies just to get from point A to B! By the end of my visit, I was cramped, cranky, and desperate for an oxygen mask. But for folks who thrive in crowded, chaotic environments, Haynes Park is the place to be! It’s bustling energy at its finest - if you rather enjoy your parks overrun. An absolute must-visit for fans of no personal space and zero relaxation.

This was my first time here and was amazed as to how much stuff there is to do in this park! I can't wait to visit the pool when it gets warmer. I wonder if they'll have some concerts in the JBL equipped pavilion? Tennis courts, horse shoe area, walking trail, soccer field, shelters, a marvelous playground with tons of monkey bars and some seriously great trees and plant life. I'll be coming back more even just to chill and relax under the trees... and the monkey bars.

Great place to spend an afternoon. Playground for the kids and grills for the family. Great location. A downside is, the pool doesn't allow any type of floatation devices ☹. Bathrooms and electrical outlets weren't unlocked until late afternoon. Would be better if unlocked first thing.

Very nice park with lots of amenities such as small grills, seating, playground, basketball court. Small neighborhood library box. Nice big trees and great view of Sandia mountains!

Nice place to walk, take your dog, or just get away. Plenty of shade. I'm originally from the East Coast, and when I moss walking in the grass in my bare feet, I come here to do that. Gotta be careful though as recently I've noticed there are irresponsible dog owners who have chosen to NOT clean up after their dog.

I chose this site to photograph the October 14, 2023 annular eclipse. The location was at the very center of the path of 100% totality and the "Ring of Fire". I was there for almost 5 hours only to make some photos but noticed how many people were here to enjoy the wonderful grounds. There are shelters, picnic tables and grills, I saw a pool and tennis courts and a large pavilion for events. By the time the eclipse was near totality, the park had a few hundred people there to watch or photograph the event, but 1/2 were there just for the park.

Me and my granddaughter love coming to this swimming pool. Has a huge playground by it. So we first play on the playground then eat a little something under the beautiful trees on the grass. 30 minutes later we’re off to go in and swim to cool off.. so much to do at HaynesPark.. Have to come to swim

This was my first time visiting Haynes Community Park, I brought my sidekick Oliver Twist the Rio Rancho Sheepadoodle Extraordinaire with me. This park is very well maintained and it's much larger than it appears when passing by it on Hwy 528. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, horse shoe pits, a swimming pool and some large grassy areas for playing catch with a Frisbee, football or baseball. The trees and shrubs are well established and good size, providing shade and protection from the wind. There are several dozen picnic tables some with charcoal cooking grills. Benches are strategically placed for resting and the gazebos and covered structures are in very good shape.

Been coming to this park for nearly 30 years. Improvements continue to be implemented and the park is typically clean. Unfortunately the restrooms were closed due to vandalism on my last visit.

Best place to catch a game of basketball, do a little running or walk your dog. There's a playground and a tennis court.

Wish I would have known there wasn't much for chairs to sit on. I brought my disabled mother in law and had a hard time finding a seat for her. Otherwise the kids had a great time

Very nice park. You can bring your pets. You can Grill and Barbecue. They got shade for tables which is very nice. They have restrooms, basketball & Tennis courts. A playground and lots of swings and grass

The park is kind off big and has different attractions for different ages and sports, the grass area were we play soccer in my opinion needs more care but the tennis courts the kids playground and basketball courts are all in great shape. Fyi the bathrooms are close most of the times so you will have to go to the closest gas station.

The atmosphere is good and there is plenty of room to exercise. Basketball courts, swimming pool, summer youth programs, playground for kids, soccer field, horseshoes, and picnic areas. Ect.

Pool was filthy. Bathrooms were filthy and saw two near drownings . The life guards are a complete joke. Will never go there again.

We love this pool! They have a great shallow area for little ones and waterslide for older kids. It is a bit busy during the summer, as are all pools...but it's not overly crowded. We have a blast every time!

Great place to take a little one, aka under 12, before they prefer to be in doors or hang out at the mall, video games, or not be on a jungle gym. The whole play area has been restructured and added new slides, monkey swings and mini rock wall for tikes. Mulch instead of sand. And smaller play are for kids under 5. Tennis and basketball courts with a lot of grass area. Stage to rent for your concerts. And the awesome Haynes pool. Worth spending a day. Bring a Picnic or enjoy the weekend events that take place. Shade is a hot commodity. So if you have a portable canopy. Bring it!
