Please look elsewhere , I contacted this hotel as a travel nurse and experienced a huge hassle. Please understand that the staff and the booking department are two entirely different entities but if you're working as a traveling nurse this place will leave you absolutely stranded. I called to check on my reservation details prior to arriving as I was traveling with my dog and baby. I had picked this hotel as it was dog friendly I had confirmed with the reservation agent that I would in fact be bringing my dog and it was reflected in the confirmation email. When I arrived at the hotel I checked to make sure that I would be put in a pet friendly room and was told I would have to pay an additional fee. I expressed to the manager that I had already paid that for my room for the week and that I was using my travel stipend account and would not be able to deal with my bank until normal banking hours and I asked if he could change me to the higher rate for the night out of the week the I had already paid he was unable to do that and was not able to take cash. to make up for the $180.00 difference. The manager was very apologetic and refunded our money. Unfortunately I had a shift to work in the morning and no place to stay luckily I found another hotel.

We had two reservations here one for my fiancé and I, as well as his parents. We check in and the staff is very friendly, and all seemed well. As we are unwinding in our in laws room after the long drive, they notice there’s something under the sheets. You see, they found a notebook under the covers and of course that tells us staff forgot to clean the sheets. The front desk mentioned no one has been in the room in the last four days. Again very friendly when we brought it up and they even changed their room for them. The mistake we made dear ladies and gentlemen was not checking the sheets in our room until later that night. When we threw back our sheets we found a mysterious stain that could’ve been blood, it could’ve been feces all I know is that it bled through the sheets onto the mattress and clearly, the sheets weren’t clean. We’re now two for two on them not bothering to even check whether these the beds are clean or not. The front desk was apologetic and offered us to either A). Give us new bedding or B). Downsize to a queen bed as the everything else had been rented. Appalling really. We chose to downsize and ask to refund us the difference. They get one star purely because the staff handled it the best way they could. The owners of this branch should be ashamed. Especially because they have signs everywhere that have their “10-point cleaning process”. I guess it doesn’t explicitly say they clean their sheets so they got us there. I won’t be back and I encourage everyone to just pay the extra money for a different hotel.

Terrible. We were treated horribly by Antonia at the front desk. They canceled our friend’s room the morning of our stay because they “keep getting over booked” they wouldn’t do anything to accommodate for him. the room was dirty, it looked like they just made the bed and called it good. We didn’t even get towels or toilet paper. We had to ask. The staff was very rude. 0/10 wouldn’t stay here ever again.

I don’t have big expectations from hotels but this was the worst I’ve ever stayed at. Everything for me was satisfying except one thing: the scent in the room. I stayed in room 223 and the smell is so bad that I couldn’t stay in the room for prolonged time. It really smells like dog/cat pee. If not that one thing, id easily give 5*. I’m only one day into a one week stay and I’m not sure how I’m going to handle it. After reading all the reviews I’m not even bothering to call them and request a different room given that it is also a Balloon Fiesta week. I did have to go to Walmart and buy an air refresher sprayer but original room scent eats it up very quickly. To management: please consider changing the carpet and separate pet vs non pet rooms.

Having stayed here almost a month… upon leaving I was robbed. The staff rummaged through my belongings and took a lot of my valuables. I usually made my payments Sunday afternoon each week and the last week I was out of town called Monday said I won’t be back till Tuesday and I’ll make my payment for the following week. Staff agreed. When I came back to my hotel my belongings were in trash bags and all my stuff was missing. No one called or told me anything. I was very spooked. The staff acted as if they were family and then threw all my belongings out without notice or warning. My cell phones my Jewelry clothes and shoes were gone. My children and I luckily had a house move in ready after. Horrible experience.

I really wanted to give this place second and third chances, but they could literally care less about the customer experience. To start, when I checked in they charged me for an extra pet. It took days of asking them to remove this charge to get help. Then there was food and dog hair in the refrigerator left from the previous tenants. When I told the front desk nothing was done; I had to ask multiple times for someone to clean out the fridge. Also, they didn’t even change the blanket from the previous guest and it was covered in the same dog hair I found in the fridge. Then my room is supposed to be cleaned on Sundays. So I leave with my dog all day so they can clean it. It never got done and then the next day they told me they still couldn’t get to it. I have never in my life stayed somewhere that treats their customers so poorly. Please be weary if you have to stay here.

We had to book a last minute hotel and were so pleasantly surprised with the overall quality and customer service! Checking in with Derrick Frost was a breeze! This young man is the epitome of customer service! He was friendly, knowledgeable and always had a smile. He is a true asset to this establishment. He has even gone to the extent of investing his own time and money to help improve the customer experience. I wish I could clone him and bring him back to Texas with us!

You are billed on the website as providing "free breakfast." A few mini muffins, packets of instant oatmeal (and no hot water to make it with) is not breakfast. The website also promises breakfast bars. There were none. A fully stocked kitchen is promised. There were no pots, pans, dishes, or cutlery. I had to sign out a plastic cup and a spoon at the front desk. The kitchen sink in my room had a constant drip that kept me up all night, and no one from maintenance appeared to fix it before I went to sleep. When I arrived the TV remote did not work, and the front desk provided me a replacement saying, "It might not be for the right TV; we just replaced some of them so you might have to come back." I checked out feeling supremely dissatisfied with this experience.

Really like the entire staff here. They go out of their way for you and are always in a pleasant mood. Carlos is the one we have worked with a lot and he has been very accurate and kind. He is very professional. Shelby is the lady we have also interacted with and she is very kind and nice as well. The rest of the staff has been equally nice

Aaron at the front desk is such a GEM! It was my first time in Albuquerque and he made me feel so welcome! I asked him for a room with a view and even with them being sold out he was very accommodating! He was so informative and engaging in great conversation. Keep him at the front desk he’s a treasure. My whole stay here was pleasant and I will surely be back!

I was "welcomed" in a very weird and strange way by a receptionist named Santana. She didn't even look at me. She was texting with someone and was obviously very upset and not welcoming at all. Because I used to deal a lot with different employees, I hate to see them upset. So, can I see you smile for a second, I asked trying to calm the situation. Answering NO she left and went inside the office. Her manager Malerie came out and helped me in a very professional manner. She was completely different, very helpful and professional. I saw Santana "welcoming" someone else the same way the next morning as well. Santana is a rare case not only in Albuquerque, but nationwide.

If you notice the continuous response from Hotel Management, it's always the same. When i checked out, I told the front desk employee, I wrote a bad review about the service and room 223. I went on to tell her that less then one week ago there was a similar review on that room, when she finally looked up and acknowledged me, she asked, what room are you checking out of? I told her 223, she said thank you. I'll check you out. Doesn't care all all. Just put a exclamation point of the type of place this is. You would hope with how many bad reviews there are their response would be more personal and things would changed. I wish we would have checked the reviews before we booked. Let me start off by saying this is not a place I would normally stay in. But there wasn't a lot of options. When we checked in, the front desk attendant was nice but talked very fast and you could tell she just wanted us out of her hair. When I went to the room, the room key didn't work. No big deal, went back down and had it fixed. The room I got was ok, nothing special but what do you expect. I was happy it didn't smell like dogs or cats. We left for the night and when i came back a few hours later my room key again didn't work. I talked to the front desk person who asked what room I was in. I said 233, she said no, its 223. I said no, my stuff is in 233. She then came up, tried 223, no one in it, went to 233, there's my bag and another person's stuff in the room. Now I'm not sure why that person didn't say anything but now I'm in 223, that yes smelled like cats. I'm upset but they could care less, she told me that was the second time that happened tonight. Woke up in the morning, went to my car, the passenger window is broke out and my briefcase is gone, great! On to night 2, wemt up to my room, the key doesn't work again. What bothers me is they don't ask for your ID to verify your the person assigned to that room. I could say any room and they would give me a key. I would say it's brst not to stay here. Just not a good place or service.

We have had quite a moving experience and looked forward to staying at our hotel I was helped by Anastasia. What a true gem! Her over the top excellent customer service and kindness and understanding has made this a breeze. A great employee and asset to your company. The gentlemen at the desk at night were also very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel and Anastasia!!

So disgusting is not worth the money you pay. The hotel is so gross. Everything from their disgusting breakfast to their lack of customer service, all 2 or 3 employees just hide behind the desk. I tried calling down on 3 occasions, but they didn't pick up the call. Oh, the worst part...the roaches!!

My stay at the extended stay hotel in Rio Rancho was incredibly disappointing. The rooms were far from clean, with filthy carpets and a noticeable stain that was hard to ignore. The lack of cleanliness extended beyond the rooms, as the overall amenities were not well-maintained either. The service was shockingly unprofessional and lacked the level of hospitality one would expect from a hotel. The staff seemed disinterested and unresponsive to guest needs, creating a negative atmosphere throughout the stay. Adding insult to injury, the hotel charged an additional fee for Wi-Fi access, which should be a basic amenity in this day and age. This nickel-and-diming approach left a sour taste in my mouth, especially given the already subpar experience. To top it off, the hotel didn't provide towels in the rooms, forcing guests to exchange them at the front desk. This inconvenience was just another example of the hotel's lack of attention to guest comfort and satisfaction. Overall, I would strongly advise against staying at this extended stay hotel in Rio Rancho. The combination of uncleanliness, unprofessional service, extra charges, and inconvenient practices make it an unfortunate choice for any traveler.

I am very disappointed in this Hotel. They advertise that breakfast is included. It isn't. They didn't even have breakfast bars. When I inquired about this fact the staff said that they ran out. The curious thing is that the last time I stayed they had no oatmeal. I asked if they would reimburse me for not providing me the breakfast items. They refused. In addition to this, I require that my room be as cool as possible. The Havc had a temperature low at 60 F. The coolest the temperature got was 72 F. For all intents and purposes, l rate this Hotel very poor to unacceptable.

Enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and smell was pleasant. No complaints from this location. Front desk Assistant was very pleasant to talk with.

The room stunk so bad it literally gave me a headache. It smelled like they tried to cover up a strong cigarette smell with about a half ton of the powder carpet freshener. There was literally no water pressure in the shower. The temperature of the water was nice and hot but no water pressure. We arrived late due to a 15 hour drive from Texas so when we asked if there was another room possibly available, we were told no and that it was fully booked. Now I’m up super super late with a huge headache because of the strong chemical smell and all after a 15 hour drive. Definitely do not recommend and will not be back! Disgusting!!!

I had to work at another clinic in the area company I work for set up the stay for me. I was very very disappointed. I was exhausted and and it was late otherwise I would have changed to another motel. The room stunk so bad and the carpet looked so old and dirty. I called front desk and requested another room due to the smell and was told they were completely booked. I had to put essential oils in the ac to be able to stand the smell. Top it off early morning shower for work NO HOT WATER!! I called the company HR and advised them to NEVER put us employees in that motel. They need to do a complete makeover on rooms to match their lobby. No stars from me. And I am not one to complain but it’s not right to rent out rooms that awful.

Do not be deceived by the pictures and information on their website. This hotel is like an old hotel, dirty on the outside and inside. This needs inspection from the Hotel Association and the Sanitation Department too. The room is small, it has like donated old furnitures inside and dilapidated too. The carpet looks very dirty too. The sink work slightly & water doesnt drain right away & there is bad odor too. The room stove top is rusty and no kitchen utensil. The room telephone is not working too. If you are on a vacation please avoid this hotel. And Anastacia, the front desk lady is so rude and got pretty bad attitude too. The customer service is so bad & the hotel facility is the same. The Coffee that they serve is too light and you wont be able to drink it. This should be zero star.

Located in a very sketchy area. Very small rooms. The folks at the front desk were the only bright spot the entire stay.

This is the absolute most disgusting, false advertised place I have ever been in my LIFE. It’s dirty, disgusting carpet with animal urine stains, the beds are stained and disgusting, the “breakfast to go” is a bunch of granola bars thrown in a basket and stale coffee. I never leave reviews but for what they’re charging this is outrageous. On top of everything else we got here to check in and no one NO ONE was at the front desk for 30 minutes!!!!!! We chose Rio rancho because of its reputation and honestly this is the worst place I’ve ever seen. Do not waste your money you’d be better off sleeping outside. Disgusting

Stayed there five months ago and there was a fire in the wall of our room. All of our belongings were soaked and covered in insulation. We were evacuated and filed a modest damage claim the next day. Have been ignored or strung along since. Now have to take it to court.

My family was in ABQ for Balloon Fiesta. My son and I stayed there last year so we thought we'd stay there again this year. Since my wife was joining us we decided to take our two small dogs with us. At check-in I was charged an additional $203.00 for the dogs. There was no mention of this additional charge when I made our reservations. When we got to our room, #101, the door was stuck. We had to put a shoulder to it to get it to open. When the door opened we were hit in the face with a horrible, musty smell. The carpet was terribly stained. The chair and ottoman were so badly stained that we never sat on them. There was a piece of plastic trim on one corner of the wall that was loose and flapping. A hinge on one of the cabinet doors was pulling away from the cabinet. The door to the bathroom also stuck, causing a loud noise when it was opened. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom which contributed to the musty odor. The AC was poor, the mattresses were lumpy. Despite being a suite there was no offer of a coffee maker, or any other appliances. Since you charged me an additional $203.00, because of my dogs, you should take that money and shampoo the carpet, and maybe burn that chair/ottoman. Suffice it to say, we will not be staying there next year for Balloon Fiesta next year.

Our first room smelled like smoke, so they switched our room, it smelled just as bad. Third room was the best which was also bad. It smelled like dog urine! We had to go to Walmart and get carpet deodorizer and air freshener! The air vent in the bathroom was literally furry from lack of cleaning. Dog hair on the furniture. They came in on day 2 and cleaned the air conditioner this made no difference. They need to take out the carpet all together. Thank goodness we were able to move to another hotel. Do not go to this hotel!

This was the only room I could find on short notice during balloon fiesta and the price reflected it. The place is old, but pretty clean. The sheets were a little scratchy. No ice machines I. The building, but they gave me ice trays to make my own. The employees always helpful and kind. The view over the Albuquerque valley was great for balloon viewing.

I drove 811 miles from home to be told that my room was canceled. This is absolutely not good. Not only is it the only time & the last time I will be using Extended Stay or Priceline. This is just as much as a pitiful situation because of Priceline. I received no notice & had to rebook with another hotel.
