Extremely disappointed! We booked our room for one night, on a Monday and it was $300. When we got to our room and decided to checkout our dinner options, we realized we could only eat at the fast food grill. The sports bar was closed for maintenance. I decided to DoorDash dinner only to find out that the dasher can only deliver to the front desk and I had to go downstairs and get my order. We tried to bring up alcohol that we bought at the store but the casino wouldn’t allow it. When we asked where we would be able to buy beer in the casino, a security guard pointed us towards the gift shop that closed at 7pm. By this time it was already after 7. There were only two towels in the bathroom of our double queen bed room. Makes no sense.. We found a long black hair in the tub. The only positive is the bathroom had a really nice tub with good water pressure. We went down to the casino and found out that your not allowed to drink on the casino floor. You have to sit at the bar and finish your drink! I have never been to a casino this terrible. No fun!!

The place is nice. The environment is good. Drinks drinks are too small. You have to order a double drink in order to get one shot with the good drink flavor other than that. You'll get one full shot with just a splash of the other drink that you're gonna drink. When arriving The waitress or the service was rude. Not understanding where to go or how you sit down. Seems like they were bothered to inform the proper way of doing it.

We stayed here for two nights on the back end of a 5,000+ mile road trip across the country. We desperately needed a day or two of rest and relaxation before we made the final 750 miles home - and decided to stay here. The bad: The price per night for this place is insane. They wanted over $400 a night for the room alone, which of course is crazy expensive. Back when we paid for rooms in Vegas I never paid anywhere near that, and for much bigger, newer rooms. Mediocre: The poker room was drastically understaffed and the staff they did have was not friendly. Not that I blame them really, they are overworked and underpaid. The seats were not comfortable, they didn’t have many trolleys for drinks and whatnot and the beverage service left a lot to be desired. The good: The staff is friendly, the casino is well lit, secure and well stocked. The hotel and the rooms themselves were great, very clean - just not worth the price tag. At the end of the day if they want to charge high end Vegas prices they need to provide a high end Vegas experience, and that includes a solid, amenable wait staff and gambling staff.

Only went to the casino-- the patrons and staff were extremely honest and helpful. My elderly mother left her purse at one of the slot machines, and an honest patron turned it in. The staff made it very easy for us to get it returned with everything intact. We are very grateful.

We stayed over Labor Day weekend for two nights basically to hang out at the pool. The room was clean but way over priced but to be expected. The downfall was the pool. We got there early on Sunday, the “pool” attendant was a zombie. Not even sure why anyone stationed there as he did nothing. Really not his fault. Guests came and went with no accountability. I know in future I can come for day and swim because like I said people came and went without even being a guest. About mid morning my daughter and I decided to get in hot tub only to discover poop floating in it. We notified the guy right away and he went and told someone. He then proceeded to stand guard waiting for help which never came, I couldn’t believe it. The area should have been shut down to include pool to sanitize but nothing ever happened. This was a hazardous thing I would have thought. It was disgusting!! The other issue was early in day some kids were throwing water bottles across the pool area to each other and once again the pool attendant was a total zombie. Lucky no one was hit. I told them if I was hit or my kids were hit there would be trouble, they must have wasted 30 bottles of water if not more. I felt like I was at motel 6 with the conditions. The bar staff were the only positive. I was waiting for an email after check out but nothing came so I figured I would tell all here.

New Mexico Law sucks, no drinking at casino games, only bar area, restruant was overpriced and just okay.. need to get a few more table games, only 1 - 3 card poker table. And no casino ultimate hold table games. They say in the new year they will! Smoke shop and gas station were nice!! It's across the street.. and nice valet parking!!

Nice casino but $60 gone in less than 30 minutes. Can't take drinks to floor, otherwise we likely would have stayed longer. Maybe this is just a NM thing, AZ Res Casinos allow drinks on the gaming floor, definitely makes you spend more money though😊

We took family there on a weekday to gamble a little and have a meal. Beautiful facilities, some of the nicest in NM I've seen. Admittedly we were there on a weekday, but it's a bummer to stop in and find good chunks of it closed. I'm always torn on casinos. The design and building are beautiful, but I always wonder how much people have lost gambling to maintain such luxury. I can't speak to weekends, but during the week the floor is mostly retired people or people at a conference. Pool and golf course look great, so it might be a nice overnight getaway.

Honestly I cannot express how terrible this place is. They ID everyone when you clearly are over 21. The bartenders are especially rude. Why would anyone go to a casino where you cannot drink in the gambling area. Really? Absolutely nothing special about this place for the price of the rooms. They also have a very strong negative reputation among locals for their rudeness and for lack of winning potential. Not angry here, just trying to help someone out. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Modern rooms with mountain views. Great amenities. Not going to lie, I chose this place primarily for the parking garage. We played slots the whole time and left with a couple hundred bucks, so we’re happy. Some casinos in the area are quite stingy, but not here. We had one minor issue that was resolved swiftly. We will be back when traveling through Albuquerque.

They have it all here. Make sure you rent a room for at least a day or two. You can take advantage of great food, great entertainment, they have a really awesome Sports Bar, the views are incredible, you can take advantage of the spa and even play a little golf here. One of my favorite places to stay in town, and I live here! LOL!

Sandia is an incredible place. The food was wonderful and the service was even better. Lounging by the pool was wonderful and the severs out there were quick and attentive. The pool and hot tub were great and I was very grateful to be offered ice cold water all day. The DJ out by the pool was great as well. The room we stayed in was absolutely beautiful and the view was ten out of five stars, crazy beautiful!!! The rooms were also super clean and I wish my bathroom at home looked like the one in our suite!!

Customer service is horrible since the pandemic. Everything is a fight here. We rented their super suite for $1500/night for a girls trip. They made every aspect of the stay difficult. Weeks before we requested early check in. When we arrived, they wouldn’t honor it AND even tried to make us wait an extra hour to check in at 4! The restaurant wouldn’t take a reservation and we’re going to make us wait an hour. The sports bar tried the same thing b it there were so many empty tables that we walked in and sat down-after they’d hassled us all day, we’d had enough. Our trip to the spa was bad too. They had oversold day passes so the hot tubs and saunas were too crowded to use even if you’d paid for a service and expected the amenities. They obviously have way too much funding from somewhere, because they don’t care a thing about guest experience!

Great atmosphere for a casino, but you don’t win at all. Plus side is the deli has bomb 5 dollar Frito pies and decent fish and chips. Out door venue is unique and the indoor venues and attractions are great!

We always enjoy our stays here but this last time, Kayla made our visit incredible! We were in town for my son to have his wisdom teeth removed & from the moment we arrived she was warm and welcoming. Kayla even left a note for my son with some recommendations to help him through his recovery. I have stayed many times at this resort but Kayla provided 1st class service and made our stay amazing. She went the extra mile to make sure we had a great stay. Thank you Kayla, you are amazing! We will be back.

Having an amazing experience. Casino is fun, but the resort is amazing. Beautiful golf course and amazing views. Food is good, with lots of options! Rooms are roomy, modern, and very clean. Oh, and there's room service as well! 2 thumbs way up... I highly suggest.

The casino is very clean the rooms are very nice and at the current time they do not allow any smoking in the casino thank goodness. This is a classy casino with casual attire. If you're in the area I recommend you check this casino out it'll be well worth your trip. They offer plenty of garage parking and outdoor parking as well as valet services.

Sandia is the largest casino in NM, so it's expected that they have a wide variety of things to choose from for your night out and they really don't disappoint. They have nearly every slot machine you could think of from Penny's to 100$. They have reg and high stakes table games and poker. As well as live music on the weekends and a bar right off the main floor. There are several restaurants around the grounds, and if you're just wanting a quick bite there's the deli off the casino floor. The food has always been really good there. But I have heard the restaurants can get a little pricey. Great for a dinner date though The rooms are fairly reasonable but definitely worth it. Because they are definitely luxurious and room service is pretty awesome. The location is perfect for visitors because it keeps you out of the center of the city and in a much safer area. Especially with tribal police and security doing routine rounds around the clock. The casino recently changed it's hours to be open 24/7 from Fri to sun, so it's nonstop fun (if you can afford that.....) The rest of the week the casino closes at 4. The bar however will always stop selling alcohol at 12am. And the food areas are all also closed around that time. But if your gambling, there's always a free soda machine if you get thirsty and coffee if you don't want to go up to your room yet. The payouts on slots aren't great but when you win, you REALLY win!!! Oh, and a word to the wise, definitely don't loiter in your car for very long or fall asleep in it bc security will start knocking on your window real quick and you WILL have a bad night thereafter.

My daughters and I came here on a day trip to play bingo for my daughters birthday. Overall everything was good. The casino area is clean and employees can be seen taking care of what needs to be done. The service is also good. The cashiers in the bingo hall were very helpful in explaining what the different packets and prices offered. And the consession stand had good food at very fair prices. We didn't stay at the motel so I can't reply on the rooms, prices or services in that area. Its also great that its a non smoking facility throughout.

The people here are very rude and very strict. Don't waste your time driving all the way to this casino I recommend going to another casino where you're actually appreciated. The harass their visitors by making the police pull people over before they even drive off the property while they're still in parking spaces. They judge people just by their appearance I've seen it for. They also have a strict policy on drinking so if you're planning on going to have a good time and having some drinks you're better off going somewhere else because they have a very strict drink limit unless they know you.

Do not miss tonight's show, for it is one of our own Burque's amazing artists and pillars of the community. Have fun at the casino, and enjoy your stay while you enjoy this beautiful winter wonderland. I recommend the beautiful architecture and views of the Sandia Mountains. If you're lucky, you might catch a few balloons go up on a not so windy day.

The casino is always such a fun time! It's a great place to grab some drinks and play games. They usually have live music which is really nice too.

Beds are way too firm for me, and I couldn't sleep because of it. A softer mattress would have been a 5-star review. Rooms are updated and kept clean. Decent size and nice views. Casino hosts take very good care of me, and it's appreciated. Casino and resort is as close to Vegas quality you're going to get. Best casino and resort in Albuquerque.

We stopped by the casino on the way home. It was awesome. The ladies in the players club were friendly and courteous. They definitely made it a great stop. We didn't win, but there were a ton of hand pays all around us. Will definitely consider going back.

Love the layout and the bar upstairs, but the hours for the player club staff should be a bit later. The vouchers expire an hour after the club closes. They do honor it the next day, but its a bit of an inconvenience driving back up there.

I spent way to much time and money here throughout the years. If it wasn't a good place I would not have kept going back. Seen a lot of big wins. Good points for big players and some occasional decent promotions and drawings. Unfortunately they closed the buffet.

Beautiful view of the mountains and the city at night. The Christmas tree decorations are a sight to see. Rooms are spacious and very relaxing. Pool area is beautiful. I would recommend this place to any couple who want a weekend to relax and have fun.

We went for the marine corp ball and ended up spending the night. Everything was absolutely perfect. The room was spacious and comfortable. The food was great. We also put a $100 in a machine and hit for $1,000. That’s never happened to us at any other casino! Thank you Sandia for having us and we can’t wait to be back next year.

Stayed here for the balloon festival. Awesome location! Room was great! Not all restaurants available as multiple were "closed for a private party". Would stay here again!

We had a good time at this hotel. I had been here 15 years ago and really enjoyed the rooms. This time I was able to also visit the casino floor and had a great experience. This was the first time I played blackjack and they were very helpful in showing me the rules. Definitely would go back if I am in the area.

I wanted to treat my family to something different on our long road trip. We are two grandparents and two 13 year old grandchildren. I picked a king suite with a balcony, had a sofa bed and would take a roll away too. The valet and bellman made our arrival super easy. I was astounded at the size of our room. The main bathroom had separate shower and bath, just beautiful. The kids flipped! This is a convention center and casino, so there were lots of people around. There is an outside pool with bar, the large casino just off the lobby, restaurants and bars onsite. The bar and food prices are very reasonable. We ate ate a great restaurant just off the lobby, we loved our food, but the quantities were large and we couldn’t finish it all. When we had to leave, our departure was a breeze. Great facility.

Planned an event for 120 people and absolutely loved everything! The rooms we so spacious and beautiful! Loved the rainfall shower! Food was incredible and every person on I worked with went above and beyond to make sure our experience was smooth and prefect! Front desk manager was so helpful and really great to work with. We will be planning our event every year here!

I do not like or enjoy the excessive structures of this casino hotel. The only dance place horrible at serving drinks it was not busy Thursday. Then Friday night they close early and stop serving even if you're a guest and there are 3 songs playing live band seats all empty. They don't allow entrance they don't service throughout the casino cocktails either. For the price of staying here it did not match any services. I would not recommend at all. It's not worth the price coming from Arizona it doesn't compare. Only 3 professional people concierge Mathew. The bell hop.and valet guy.

10-16-23: It was the last night in Albuquerque and I had about 1 hour to spend at the casino, so I didn't have enough time to review everything. From what I saw, there are a ton of slot machines of all kinds. Nice tall ceilings and the air condition was a tad bit cold. I saw the hot chocolate lady pulling a cart but didn't get a drink. Lost $10 in the slots, didn't hit it big, but at least I can say I pulled a few levers (button).

We went to the sports bar. After paying $19 for the nachos, one could only hope for better quality cheese, but this place doesn't have that. Other than that, it's not a bad place to watch sports.

  • 5/5 Jessica H. 8 months ago on Google
Easiest casino to get to in albuquerque. The slots pay out, and they have cool incentives to come play. The rooms are nice and clean, and the atmosphere on the casino floor is comfortable. A beautiful southwestern vibe and a great pool/ cabana area with unobstructed views of the Sandia mountains. A bar with a stage and dancing area overlooking the poker tables and lobby, multiple eateries - except the buffet, they got rid of it after Covid. All in all, it's a nice place.

😐 We were driving 18-wheelers from Mesa, AZ to Denver, CO. We weren't sure how far we would make it but knew this was a good half-way point especially since they have truck parking. We called the hotel, explained our situation and was told we didn't need reservations, that they had plenty of rooms. We...
