The previous reviews made me somewhat weary, but I am glad we chose to stay here and encouraged our daughters teammates to also stay. The front desk staff were all super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, I do wish they kept it going a tad bit later in the morning for the sleepy heads after long days of sports in the hot 100+° sun (shuts down at 9:30 on weekdays) but still not enough to complain specifically about. Beds are very comfortable and rooms are spacious. Only down fall room wise is the shower heads are low, husband is 6’4 and shower head came to about the middle of his shoulder blade, and water pressure is weak, but that seems to be the norm for hotels so not a deal breaker! Extra Security deposit they hold was $25 and I saw some reviews complain about the extra hold and problems getting it back after check out but that wasn’t an issue for us and we had 2 rooms. Will return if we ever need to visit the devils armpit again 😂 🥵

If you choose this hotel, make sure you stay on the third floor. We were kept awake nearly until midnight and at 5am due to the room above us. Every footstep is heard and felt through the walls, floor, and bed. The clerk was absent-minded or very inexperienced, asking for my name and other information multiple times over the phone during reservation. The pool had stuff all over its surface, visible from the hall outside. Some doors were ripped and hanging from the jamb. Hot and cold in the shower were switched, although plenty hot. The handle was loose and floppy. The central air vent was very noisy (not enough to drown noise from other tenants.) The greatest credit to this hotel is that the bed was quite comfortable. I have had much better stays at hotels less than half the cost of this. Breakfast held no surprises. You would not miss out if you stayed elsewhere.

My first ever visit. An old property with dark brown interiors. Good breakfast food and nice pool/ hot tub. Parking OK. Has a Denny's next door. Too high room charges for this old place. Probably not returning.

This hotel was perfect. We stayed for three nights and would definitely stay again. Rooms were very clean (housekeeping was excellent.) Great location (no homeless camps or junkies roaming near by.) They had an excellent variety for breakfast (though it wasn’t available until 6:30am.) The staff was very helpful and polite (we accidentally booked the room twice and the front desk was able to refund us for one of the bookings.) The pool was very nice (though the hot tub wasn’t very hot but was just fine.) All in all great experience.

Book elsewhere!! The only good thing was the breakfast they had fully stock hot breakfast. Hotel itself is very dirty and outdated looks like they don’t care much for this property. We checked into a room that was suppose to be a nonsmoking but smelt like a smoking room when I asked to move there wasn’t any rooms I could move too :( The walls by the bedroom were dirty (had boogers on them) the floors had stains, the entrance of the room had a lot of crumbs like it wasn’t vacuumed. Unfortunately We dreaded going back to the hotel every single time we had to go back to refresh. I recommend for the same price to stay at a Hilton across the street or elsewhere.

We were very pleased with the customer service at the front desk when we checked in. The young lady was very friendly and helpful. People had been posting that this hotel does not take New Mexico residents, which isn't the case. However they've had issues with guests from Alburqurque that have caused damage and other problems so they've buckled down on ABQ residents who stay here. Our room was nice, spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom too was quite spacious as well. There's a little noticeable aging of the hotel but nothing that would deter us from staying here again.

I stayed 3 nights in an ADA King Suite. The room was really clean with a great lay out. I really appreciate the walk in shower with adjustable shower head, as well as the wide living area. The staff were really friendly and professional. I felt safe at night, staying alone. It's really close to major roads and interstates. I'd recommend joining their Free Choice rewards club so you get the best rates and accrue points for your stay. I'd highly recommend turning left out of their parking lot and checking out the view of the mountains while getting a coffee at Dunkin Donuts.

We checked in at 1am - we were tired and ready for a good night's sleep. Got to our room to find the A/C broken. No other clean rooms were available due to a staff shortage. Maintenance was called, but did not answer. We were moved to a clean and cool room around 9:30am. Went to eat the complimentary brekfast only to find nothing hot was being provided due to the staff shortage. We definitely do not feel like we got what we paid for. ($40 was deducted from our bill)

Traveled across the country with a team of high school students for nationals. A crisis in Gallup, NM left their water completely unusable, so I had to beg ChoiceHotels to refund my room. Our team saved up over 20,000 points this year JUST to use at nationals. We worked to shift our travel days and locations to book another night here, only to find out the date had defaulted to the same evening I reserved it rather than the following night. I immediately called to switch the date, no answe. Choice Hotels couldn’t refund the points or switch the reservation because it “was after 4pm,” despite the reservation being MADE at 9 pm. A simple change in the computer could’ve saved these kids $200 and not let all their points go to waste.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with any hotel. I booked a room with this hotel online a few weeks before my stay. I am originally from Las Vegas New Mexico. Whenever I tried to check in, the front desk lady named Jasmine was already very rude. She told me that I wasn't allowed to stay there because I have a New Mexico drivers license and they don't rent rooms to New Mexico residents. I have never heard of a rule like that before and I have stayed at many hotels in Albuquerque. If they don't allow NM residents to book a room then how was i able to book a room online with a New Mexico address? She refused to check me in and offered no help to me whatsoever. I told her not to cancel the room that I would put the room name under somebody else that does not have a New Mexico ID. I spent the next two hours of my time on the phone with so many different people trying to figure everything out. After finally changing the name for the room and trying to check in again with an Arizona ID, Jasmine had already canceled my room after i told her not to. I have never had this problem at any hotel before and it wasted my whole night. Don't ever stay at this hotel ESPECIALLY if you are New Mexico resident.

Anytime I stay in Albuquerque I stay here. It's clean and comfortable. I love the king suites. Perfect for my family. Check in was great fast and friendly service with a smile!! If you have to go outside after 10pm you have to use the side doors only. I walked my daughter out and called to ask the front desk to come in and was told to use the side. She was very nice about it tho. Breakfast has a nice variety. The lady who runs the breakfast is very nice and friendly. Thank you for another great stay!!!!

They kicked me out of my room accusing me of smoking which I don't even smoke and they charged me $250.00. Worst hotel experience in my life.thumbs down

Super nice rooms, they were very about my dog being with me. The other reviews about the beds being hard are not wrong but it didn't bother me too much

Right off the interstate in a safe part of town. Rooms were pretty clean (stayed twice so far) and the people working we're friendly both times. Pet friendly for a fee. Decent little continental breakfast. I'll likely stay here again next time I'm passing through Albuquerque on the interstate.

The rooms were nice and clean. The shower pressure was good and the shampoo and conditioner actually smelled good to many hotels are doing the tea tree soaps that smell horrible.

The staff was incredibly friendly and very good at their jobs, the hotel was very clean and when they say complimentary 24/7 hot coffee and staff they really do mean it. There was these two young ladies at the front desk who were just incredibly sweet and great at their jobs. I will definetly stay here again and I will recommend anyone needing a GREAT HOTEL to stay here. Thank you all so much for making a stressful stay the best part of my week, if it wasn't for this hotel crew I probably would have lost my mind this week, but they reminded me that there are still posotive people and things that can brighten up a person's day. This staff was incredibly helpful and friendly

The staff was great and so friendly. The breakfast was decent. The downside was the pool and hot tub weren't working. I would have booked elsewhere had I known. They offered no discounted rates for not having these amenities either, which is insane!

Near the highway. Has a great staff that is attentive to the guest needs. I especially enjoy the help of the front desk representative Alejandra Delgado.

The receptionist was friendly. The building seemed a bit older and could use a bit of TLC. Our room was clean, other than a musty smell when we first walked in. It was fine for an overnight stay. It was relatively quiet and the parking was fine. Fairly priced for the area.

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD This place does not take New Mexico residents, and will not make that clear when booking. They are happy and quick to take your money but wait till your trying to check in to tell you they can’t accept you there. What’s worse is that they offer no help to cancel the reservation. In fact, they don’t even give you a refund. DO NOT STAY IN THIS TERRIBLE PLACE

The rooms were very clean and a good size for a family of 4. The staff was very welcoming but somewhat inconsistent. The front desk was great about all questions, but breakfast. One day breakfast was amazing: sausage, eggs, waffles. The next cereal and cold coffee from the day before?? When asked the front desk said it wasn't their job. I'm sure it wasn't, but not helpful. Hence the 3 for service. The maids were 4 star for real very helpful and courteous when needing towels or anything.
