We stoped in Albuquerque on a road trip. Hotel looked decent for the price but we were HORRIBLY mistaken. First thing we saw when we walked in was a receptionist with no mask. Whole lobby and hallways reeked of cigarettes. We had to take all of our valuable belongings out of the car due to multiple homeless people walking right outside of the OPEN gate. Our room was disgusting. All floors were sticky. Bed was just a fitted sheet over a dirty mattress. After a long road trip, took a shower only to find the ceiling with multiple spots of black mold. No longer felt safe or comfortable enough to stay at this hotel. After less than 2 hours there, we packed up and went to the receptionist who refused to give us our full refund since we had showered. Called the GM today who rudely obliged to our request for a full refund after much convincing that the room was unsafe for human occupancy.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! My co-workers and I traveled 15+ Hours only to have such a bad experience. All rooms were dirty and smelled awful. No housekeeping of any sort was offered. Paid the $150 deposit that is required when reserving a room and have yet to receive the $150 back into my account! Called and spoke to the manager of the hotel only to be told the $150 wouldn’t be returned to me at all. She was very rude and unprofessional!! Money has been withdrawn from my account & several co-workers as well WITHOUT prior notice or our authorization. I have tried calling multiple times to fix this issue but they won’t pick up any calls. This disgrace of a hotel and incompetent employees deserve a 0 star rating for such poor customer service. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Customer service was good at first. The room smelled like pure bleach and when I told the front desk they didn’t seem to care at all. I told them it was so strong that I had a headache. They said “yeah, we clean with bleach”. The walls are pretty thin so we could hear everything going on in the room next to us as well as anyone walking down the hallway. The room was clean and had everything we needed for the night. Very disappointed about the noise. The smell was horrible!! (I do not have a sensitive nose at all)

Unprofessional and unsafe. They also steal money from you. Took cash when sign says don't take cash then charge more that's stealing. Wrongful information..the supervisor Trish would say one thing but they would lie and say another. No uniform on maintenance..front desk is rude beside the young girl who seem to be too young at desk but everyone else Hispanic act as if we don't know Spanish and was talk alot of disrespect..held and hide our ups package . After being told it was there for us. Lastly. Hands were out on my wife. Very disrespectful not called for. She just wanted her package. People started issues. We waiting for cops never called. Threaten and will be having to speak to corporate about this location. Please be careful if you have to stay here. Please record everything. I have it all on phone . We left hotel because were not feeling safe or treated fairly. They judge book by its cover but don't know who I am. We will be in contact. You do not put hands on nobody. Trish is not in right mental state. She said her mom in hospital dying why isn't things handle when she not there staff is very ignorant. Houses KEEPING supervisor is very disrespectful and instigated everything. It's all recorded. Please corporate review this location. They have homelessness coming in it's not safe. I have video of that also

Hotel was not what we expected. The lobby was very dirty, the bed in our room was very comfortable. The floors were very dusty and had not been cleaned in a while. When we pulled or feet into bed, we could tell that we were tracking dust and hair from before into or nice clean bed. The bed was excellent except for the dust from the floor.

You know I have to be honest! My 1 month stay here was not bad at all! Look all Hotels have issues even in Vegas but I loved the breakfast and how quiet it was. Alot of workers from out of town stay here. Staff are not the friendliest but they are not rude either. The gate where cars park was open all night my whole second week but no outsiders come in. They have a nice pool. Thanks for the great stay!

This is definitely a Budget Motel. The rooms are old and worn out but the staff was very friendly and it has gated parking. There is a big pool in the courtyard and several seating areas with gazebos. I didn't use the pool, but there were several people in the pool while I was here. It is right off the interstate, but I was on the courtyard side and didn't hear anything overnight. The gated parking is definitely a plus being downtown. This property is also dog friendly, and there is a pet relief area on the west side of the parking area. A continental basket is served each morning, and the hotel was quiet overnight. If you're just passing through and need a place to stay for the night, it's fine.

I stayed at this hotel in May 2022 because of it's low price and decent reviews. With the low price I wasn't expecting anything too fancy or modern; however what I got was completely disgusting and unacceptable. Upon arriving at the hotel, the entire building smelled very strongly of marijuana. My room was not anywhere near clean. It had a highly suspicious red splatter stain in the middle of the room. When I brought it to the attention of the management, I was told that it was red paint, but there wasn't any red surfaces in the room. There were clumps of filth and hair in the corners of the bathroom. My hand towel rack fell out of the wall while I was brushing my teeth (not touching the towel rack). My curtains also had very questionable stains on them. Management told me they would have housekeeping clean up the messes that I showed them (see pictures attached), but they never did. To their credit they did mount the towel rack back onto the wall, but the stains and filth remained. It was a terrible experience and I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel.

Room was pretty clean. Furniture is old and run down, and the walls could seriously use some fresh paint. The place smells a little weird. But the breakfast was way above average for this star level hotel. This hotel provided what my mom and I needed for the night, as we took a break for the night from our long drive.

Just when you think you’ve seen it all! This place had become one of my usual spots when I would be in Albuquerque for a few days. I had stayed 40+/- happy nights over the last year, until one fateful evening. I had made reservations as I usually do, but the building was completely dark as I arrived and parked in the spot reserved for Diamond level guests. The only light in the lobby came from the headlights of guests entering the property. The hotel was experiencing a temporary power outage due to a car crash A few other guests and myself had found the front desk had been abandoned. The only noise in the lobby was a housekeeper, very loudly, describing her encounter with child protective services. Seated next to her, was a very comfortable young man; laid back, arms folded behind his head, feet propped on the table. He then made a blanket announce me t to the lobby which was quickly filling with guests. “ the power is off and will be. If you want to leave you can, I will not be checking in anyone. If you have a reservation I will cancel it in the morning. “ Needless to say we had an exchange of words as I had prepaid for my room. I found it funny he was able to access my reservation to cancel it( had to wait till the following day for a refund) but he couldn’t access the reservation to check me in. All of this while he remained lounged on the sofa. I have worked with choice hotels in the past and know for a fact they have a franchise protocol for dealing with power outages. One that was not followed. Did I mention he said his name was Happy Gilmore! The epitome of the worst service ever.

If you have pets DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I was up front about the number of pets I have stating I have 2 cats 2 dogs all of which are quiet and clean. However dogs, cats, kids, adults can all have accidents right? Well my dog had an accident and urinated on the comforter which I promptly took care of removing all the soiled linen from the mattress before it could soak in. I then carried it to the front told the front desk carried it to house keeping was handed new bedding i made the bed then was unprofessionally told I had 30 min to leave. If you are going to charge a 100 dollar deposit for pet damages and then consider urine a "unacceptable damage" especially when I could smell bleach on the new bedding. I could understand if I was a doing drugs shooting up splattering blood along the walls and room but my dog had an accident. This is unacceptable.

I stopped here for vacation from Alabama and stayed here on Thursday night after flying in Thursday afternoon. The room was so clean I could have eaten off the floor (including the bathroom). The check-in process was easy and low-key and the entire staff I could tell was very professional and the place was perfect for my needs. I especially enjoyed the free hot breakfast which goes a long way when you're on vacation. I would definitely stay here again

If you read nothing else, read this: there are plenty of other options to stay around this area, do not stay here! I’m not sure how/why people have this place more than 1 star. I’ve stayed in plenty of affordable hotels, and this is one of the worst. Common areas are filthy. Staff was courteous. The room was clearly only spot cleaned, and the furniture was in disarray when I walked in? THE BED was the WORST! It was so sunken in (meaning it hadn’t been changed in years) the sheets/pillows were stained yellow, there was only a top sheet and the thin covering (no quilt), the room itself just had an overall dirty vibe to it. This place heavily tarnishes the Choice Hotels brand. Very bad experience.

We had a great experience staying there for a night with the kids. The hotel is a family friendly. It's clean and pretty big. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The ac was cold and comfortable for sleep temperature. The kids like the swimming pool. The breakfast served good variety of food. Overally, it's a good hotel for great price and location. I recommend this place for anyone who's looking for a hotel in the downtown area.

My husband and I stayed at the Quality Inn in Albuquerque on our trip back to Montana. Giovanni was incredibly personable and helpful! He went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The room was clean and every member of the staff was amazing!! If you are looking for a nice and budget friendly hotel, this is it!

Really like that the rooms are renovated and include nice upgrades. The beds are very comfortable and have super soft linens and duvets. We booked directly through Choice Member Services - the room rate and services we received were above average. The staff at the hotel were all very nice and the breakfast was hot and fresh. Also it was reassuring to see a staff member wearing the “Quality Choice” logo polo shirt walking the property at night - especially since the University area of Albuquerque has a lot of homeless people all around.

Wish I could give zero stars, but that was not an option unfortunately. I booked through a 3rd party for my brother to stay in this hotel for a few hours tonight 7/18/22. He is driving home from Cali to Oklahoma and just needed somewhere safe to rest for the night before getting back on the road bright and early. When he arrived, the reservation supposedly could not be found in their system. He left and called me, I called the third party, they tried reaching the hotel by calling 5 times. They could not reach them. I also tried calling several times, to which my brother said he sat there and watched the phone purposefully not be answered. My family member finally left after receiving no help. The third party called me back and let me know to have my family member go ahead and return to the hotel, and let them know that they emailed the reservation and itinerary straight to them and dropped it straight into their system. This way, it could not be missed by any means. At this point, the extremely rude woman working told my family member “sorry, I’ve closed the batch for the night” and turned him away. Excuse me, we have already paid! The money has been deducted from my bank account! What I want to know, is why? We are paying customers for an overpriced room, first of all. Is it because his appearance is out of the ordinary? With all of his tattoos? Is it profiling? What is it? Either way, I will absolutely never recommend this hotel to ANYONE for leaving my family member stranded in the middle of the night, when all he needed was somewhere safe to sleep for a few hours to get back on the road and be able to finish his drive, safely by being rested. I can say this… I better get my full refund. Absolutely positively Unacceptable. Do better! And owners, please hire staff members who have more compassion. Seriously, if you don’t like working in customer service, go find a new job ma’am. Your attitude is disgusting.

While the location of this hotel was good for us (very close to University of New Mexico), there was very little else that I would rate positively. We arrived late at night (close to midnight) and walked into a sweltering lobby with no air conditioning. All of the common areas in the hotel were not air conditioned. Only one ice machine in the entire hotel was operational The parking lot was completely unsecured and the side entrance to the hotel was accessible without a card key - there is a card reader on the door, but it was not operational. No elevator in a 2 story facility - don't know how this complies with federal ADA requirements not to mention made it very difficult for me who suffers from chronic knee conditions. The room itself was not properly cleaned (bare floors still had debris from previous occupants) and the A/C unit struggled to keep the room cool even at the lowest setting. No housekeeping services were offered or provided and only two bath towels were provided for two adults for two days. The bed was moderately comfortable and the breakfast offering was decent. If safety and cleanliness are priorities when selecting a hotel, I would steer clear of this facility.

My partner and I booked a reservation based off of the reviews. However as soon as we arrived we noticed that the outside was aged and trash was thrown all around the building. The lobby area seemed pleasant but we noticed there was no Air-conditioning. I am manager of another hotel, and I understand that things break so we continued the check in process. The nightmare only began once we entered our room. The room was filthy, baseboards filled with hair dust and dirt. Bed skirt was clearly dirty and stains on the duvet. Toilet has fecal matter around the rim with hair from prior guest still in the tub. I finally brought this matter to the front desk agent, Dustin who was very kind and looked overwhelmed. The woman sitting next to him who I believe to be housekeeping was rude and instantly spoke up that the room was inspected by her. By her appearance and disrespectful remarks I realized she knew the condition but dismissed our request for a new room. She explained she would inspect it again and yelled at us to stay at the front desk while she went to inspect the room. No way! I continued to walk behind her. As we entered the room I showed her the filth. She said the toilet was stained, but it was clearly feces. The fact that she saw the room and acted as if we were over reacting was shocking, she then said let me talk to my manager as she asked another housekeeper to sweep and mopped the floor, Finally after almost an hour with no follow up, we decided to ask for a full refund. He agreed as the housekeeper sat next to the man saying we used the restroom and our belongings were in the room. By the way we never touched anything as camera footage would show we spent the time outside the room calling choice hotels to complain. Thankfully they have Dustin to make executive decisions as he refunded us our money. As we were leaving the housekeeping woman continued to harass my partner and I. As we went to gather our belongings and I take the last photos to show them the room was untouched, she called Dustin over her radio saying charge them they are still taking pictures, then in Spanish called me things I’m unable to say through this review. What a nightmare! Please do not stay at this hotel it’s clearly poorly managed and customer service is the last thing employees care about except for the man at the front desk! Thanks for you help Dustin! 5

Really nice. Clean and comfortable. UPDATED... check your bill over. They charged us $15 for a pet fee. We DO NOT own a pet!!! Manager says our portfolio says we travel with 1 pet. THAT IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE!!! WE WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN.

Staff started out friendly. There was a $50 dollar deposit we were unaware of, refundable after check out within 2-5 business days. Pretty decent rates. The room was clean and had a mini fridge and coffee station. TV and remote worked. The AC turned on, never turned off and barely blew any air so the room never cooled off. The bed was comfy but had three dinky pillows for a king size bed. We had to ask for a few more and the staff seemed annoyed by this request. There is a free breakfast, but we didn't grab any so I can't leave feedback on that. It is located pretty close to the freeway, which we also got some freeway noise. Overall not a terrible stay for the price you pay.

we booked a few hours in advance and arrived around 11:30pm. the staff was nice and the room was cute and clean. we brought our two dogs and they did good. the flooring in the room was hardwood, not carpet. the ac/heat worked great. the shower worked great. everything was clean! found a little gem for our long distance road trip.

The moment we walked into the hotel, it smelled like weed and the sheets were really thin with no heavier blankets. The bed itself was comfortable and the sheets were soft, and the staff was nice. The floors of the room felt griddy like it was never properly cleaned, even if it was. The toilets also had some issues with not working properly.

This place only serves as a place to sleep. So I recommend you spend as much time out of your room as much as possible. When we checked in, we were greeted by the local homeless woman in the main hall. After getting our room keys, we went to our room to only find another person sound asleep in there. After getting it all sorted out, we went to our “new” room, which smelled like cigarettes and urine. Behind the sofa chair we found four used pillows that were stuffed away so we didn’t bother touching them. It look like it was visually clean. The hallway outside smelled like a science experiment with all the chemicals they use to clean (lol). Upon checking the restroom, we noticed that a few of their towels had some yellow and orange stains on them, we did not touch those as well. After visiting the mall, we bought some scented candles that we lit in the room to burn the smell out of our room. After a car alarm going off at 2:30 AM from two gentlemen that were trying to get in, we all went to bed to make the next day come sooner so we could check out and leave in a hurry. In all it was an experience I wish not to go through again.

NOT HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE!! 1. Room was not cleaned when we checked in. 2. Toiletries were out of stock. 3. Bedsheets had dampened smell. 4. There was no exhaust system in the bathroom. 5. The Night lamp did not work. The bulb was dim. No inspection was done prior to my check-in. 6. Dirty floor throughout. 7. Even the Toilet Paper was not replaced with the new one. Request to have the rooms inspected before any other customer checks in, so they should not face these issues.

-Breakfast is good as there are varieties to choose from. The attendant was nice. -The pillows are very nice and comfortable. -The room curtains are really dirty, probably have not been changed or washed in years. -Floor needs to be vacuumed. -Laundry room, swimming pool were closed. -Hallways can be cleaned too.

I was honestly amazed at my stay here. It was super late coming into Albuquerque and we had really bad experience with another hotel chain. After driving around we came across this place. They were able to get us a room, the desk attendant was super nice and was able to also let us know what restaurants were still open considering we had not eaten supper yet. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the morning breakfast was actually very good, with plenty to choose from. Not just some muffins and fruit like other establishments. There was also gated parking and you could not beat the price! When I visit this area again I will definitely return here

Decent place to stay for a night or two. Certainly wouldn't stay here for vacation. We only stayed a night as we were traveling further west. The rooms were clean. The walls for the rooms are paper thin. I could hear people out in the courtyard talking loud and clear. I could also hear my neighbor snoring all night. Breakfast was just okay. Main reason for 3 stars and not 4 is that the doors to the parking lot were obviously broken so anyone could have entered the premise to where rooms are. I addition, several ice machines seemed out of commission. Overall, it's decent, but not great.

Jocelyn was extremely extremely rude. I booked through telephone and when I walked in through the doors she tried pushing me out immediately saying all rooms were taken. I explained to her I booked through telephone and she didn’t help me any. Just kept telling me they didn’t have any rooms and I didn’t book there. Another employee with great customer service “Valerie” pulled up my information that I indeed did book a room with this hotel. but I chose to cancel my booking and sleep in a car. I refuse to give my money to someone pushing me out the door as soon as I walk in. Jocelyn needs to find a new job or position in the hotel before this place loses everyone walking in! She was very eager to be demanding and push my business away. For absolutely no reason. Or getting on a computer to check bookings. I am from Texas where we strive good customer service! Next road trip I will beware making a stop in this town

Could not check in until late in the day because of the short staff in housekeeping! On a holiday weekend! Long line as everyone was trying to check in at the same time! Air conditioning in lobby and common areas was not working. Over a hundred degrees! The staff while friendly are definitely not hospitality professionals. Totally unaware of the surrounding community and activities. The floor in the room is not carpeted and I'm OK with that but it had not been mopped in ages! The pool is as green as a Louisiana swamp. This facility is pet friendly so I can cut them some slack on the condition of the building, but It sure could use a face lift. Very reasonably priced, the breakfast was good, location is great and central to everything.

3rd time here and still happy 😊 Smooth check in, fair price and fair deposit ($50). Rooms are spacious, beds comfy and enough pillows (4 per bed). All essentials on bathroom. Microwave and mini fridge. Not a fancy hotel, but enough for our needs. Here comes the best!! BREAKFAST! real eggs with real veggies or plain, shredded potatoes with grated cheese, sausage perfectly cooked and salsa Verde if you want a little spicy. Little hangover? No worries the have a delicious green Chile stew!!! Can you believe that?! Well for those used to the continental breakfast they do have waffles, bagels, cream cheese, fruits, cereals, yogurt, coffee, muffins, etc.

  • 3/5 Andrea H. 10 months ago on Google
Hotel was a fair value for $84 on a weekend. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient, but the upholstered lobby chairs needed cleaning. Due to the surrounding area, we would not have been comfortable staying if not for the gated parking lot. The courtyard was okay, could be a gem with some attention (pool and surrounding area looked dirty and neglected). The room itself was in line with the price, could use some repair & better cleaning (stained upholstery on chair). Breakfast was good with eggs, biscuits & gravy, sausage, green chili stew (yum!), cottage cheese, whole fruit, usual breads/pastries, friendly staff keeping things stocked. One waffle maker for a fairly big hotel, so there was always a line. Breakfast tables were worn and could use some attention. Good for the few nights we stayed, but be sure to ask about the pool if that’s important to you.

My husband and I have always stayed here on business trips through Albuquerque and we’ve always been very happy with our stay. The staff is polite, rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and it’s relatively quiet at night. They also offer a pretty decent breakfast which exceeds some of the other Quality’s we’ve been too. Thanks again and kudos to the hard working staff!!

Nice place! Unfortunately I couldn't try breakfast. They stop serving breakfast at 9am, way too early! There's microwave, fridge, bathtub and mirrors. I didn't like that there's wasn't an outlet close to the bed. Great service! I saw a cockroach in the room. There's not restaurants or stores nearby

  • 4/5 Tallie R. 1 year ago on Google
I'm a very easy person to please, I just need a clean bed and shower. The rooms come with a microwave, mini-fridge and single serve coffee maker. I've enjoyed the hot breakfast when I've stayed here. They give shampoo, conditioner, lotion, mouth wash and face wipes. My beds have been very nice and comfortable. The parking lot doesn't seem very safe but nothing has happened to my vehicle. The pool has not been in service during my stays. I have found a couple of cockroaches. (Better than bed bugs) The "business center" printer has issues. Overall, I don't mind staying here more in the future.
