This hotel is a nice choice, especially if you're needing access to I-25 or 1-40. There are plenty of places to eat and a lot to do. I was concerned with car theft or break-ins since Albuquerque is high on both counts. There is security 24 hours a day because of the Pueblo government land it is located near, so this isn't an issue. The room was very nice as we had a two queen suite and there was a separate room with a pull-out couch. The only issue is we were on the street-facing side of the hotel and some cars and trucks were loud. The pool was too cold to use and the hot tub water was pretty gross, but I'm sure a ton of people have used it with the busy travel time. The room wasn't perfectly clean, but I try to give grace since there's a shortage of cleaning staff across the country. Breakfast was good but the pancake maker was broken. The biscuits and gravy were actually pretty good which is rare for a Holiday Inn Express. I would use this hotel again for sure.

The moment I stepped inside of this hotel, I felt home already though we just stayed only for a night. This hotel is our last stop and we stayed in four different hotels before this location. So far this is the best hotel we had during our trip. Their lobby is neat and clean, Our room is tidy and bright, they even have provided Dove toiletries. They’re breakfast is phenomenal compare to the other hotels we stayed too. Very organized buffet with a lot of options. It’s location is also accessible and convenient, right just the exit of I40 west.

Had a decent stay there. Area surrounding hotel is sketchy. There were very suspicious individuals not too far from the hotel but they do have armed security that roam the premises. As far as the room goes, it was pretty nice. Fan in the bathroom didn’t work though. Breakfast was great. Overall a very good stay. Parking was cramped too, but that was bcuz they were having a lot repaved.

Diana was so helpful and kind. I really appreciated her after a long day of traveling! Both front desk gals from the evening of 8/25 should be recognized for their customer service. For travelers* this is a great safe location. I went to get something out of my car at 345 am and sounded my alarm for 2 seconds to find the car. Moments later a security guard was strolling past me. There are many food options within walking and a gas station across the street. One less star for the company telling guests AFTER booking that there is a pet fee

I booked the room online and chose a pet friendly room. I got my total cost for the room and booked it. When I get to the hotel they tell me it's an extra $50 because of the pet. Seems to me they should have had that in the total upfront since I picked a pet friendly room. Also they are not so pet friendly, there is absolutely not a blade of grass anywhere for the dog to do his business on. I actually ended up having to drive it to another hotel who did have a dog space.

This hotel was clean comfortable and quiet. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. The continental breakfast was delicious. The bathroom had toiletries built in, that you might need. The bedding was clean and comfortable. I was here on business and I was able to use the internet for my laptop and get some work done. I would stay again.

I really wanted to like it here, but I just didn't. The location is great -- just a few minutes to Old Town and downtown. But contrary to what you hear, location is not everything. We arrived for a 5 day stay. Our first room had a non functioning AC unit, so they moved us to a new room. We slowly started discovering the issues in this room: a super slow draining sink, toilet paper holder looked like it went a few rounds with Rocky. The dresser had a handle that would come off if you barely pulled on it. So much for easy storage of clothing. Our windows were frosted over, either because the seals were busted or because of bird droppings, or maybe both. I could have handled all of that. I could even handle that we were locked out of our room twice during our stay. I could even handle that one of those lockouts is because we had been "checked out" after the first day of our five day stay. I could even handle that there was a strange gritty substance covering the bottom of the hot tub. I could even handle that we had to go ask the front desk for pool towels almost every single day. But what finally got to me was the stench. The stench wasn't there for our first day or two, but then it hit. A stench like raw sewage hung in the first floor, but spread throughout the building. The staff sprayed, but it didn't help cover the stench. They opened doors to air out the floor, but the smell remained. Every day for the rest of our stay, we would be greeted, not by the feeling of coming home or even to a cozy hotel, but we were instead greeted by the stench of the city's intestinal experiences. It hasn't helped that our next stay was at a Holiday Inn Express in a different city and it is such a contrast in cleanliness, appearance, maintenance and upkeep, and no stench. Location is really good, though, and the free breakfasts were decent. One star for each.

Unfortunately this hotel was probably the worst Holiday inn experience I’ve had. The hotel did not feel exceptionally clean or updated. There were paint chips missing throughout and the walls and carpets seemed dingy. The elevators had a strong chemical smell both days of our stay. As for our room, there were things in pretty poor condition. The first thing that greeted us was a used plunger outside the door, not a great sign. The room was clean-ish. But there was a deodorant top under the sink when we got there, none of our trash cans had bags in them, the open wardrobe was missing a handle and the lamp was cracked. Most annoying was the TV could load maybe a quarter of the channels that were supposed to be available. We did bring some of our concerns to the front desk staff who could barely look up at us from their computer to pretend to care. The only highlight was that the breakfast area had a lot of variety and was kept clean. You’re likely better off at the Marriott next door.

There's no sign on the building that's visible from the street as you enter as the building faces away from the freeway and the street. At just before 11pm, the sign, high on the building on the side that faces its parking lot, was turned off. It has had what appears to be a recent refresh and the room and especially the shower stall was quite nice. The king bed was hard, but that seems to be the style these days. The signage about the tribal group that is the franchisee in the lobby and breakfast area was interesting.

Our first night here wasn't the best due to a kids' soccer team running uncontrolled across the 2nd and 3rd floor hallways. The next week, they were able to accommodate my request for a top floor room and we had a much more restful and relaxing experience. This Holiday Inn Express is what I expect from the brand! Nice and comfortable.

Great experience! We arrived early and they were able to accommodate us and get us into a room. Good location easy access from the freeway. And restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful lobby. The pool was great!

The service at this hotel was top notch! Everyone we came in contact with was over-the-top pleasant and willing to help from the front desk to Pralay in the breakfast area. It was very clean. Did I mention that it is pet friendly too! Best run hotel I have stayed at in a long time.

The stay here was great! Clean, comfortable, nice staff. I do have to say that the breakfast in particular is one of the reasons we always come back, Pralay, a member of breakfast staff made sure we had everything we needed. He was keeping everything stocked and clean. Happy to have a place to feel comfortable and safe away from home.

We stayed one night on our way to the Grand Canyon. The room and lobby were very clean. The next morning we got up to leave and our van would not start. Arian was working the front desk and was extremely helpful and called their security to help us. We were back on the road in no time. Arian was over the top trying to make sure we were being helped. He really made sure we were taken care of. Great place with Great staff

Came to stay one night thanksgiving weekend and arrived late to check-in (around midnight). Luckily they were accommodating in allowing us a late check-in. My rating on here is NOT indicative of staff - staff here is incredibly kind and responsive (particularly, Arian, the overnight manager on duty - and Parlay, one of the kitchen / breakfast staff members on duty during our morning). Truly wonderful staff - probably the nicest we’ve ever run into in my many hotel stays. The biggest concern is that we spotted a dead cockroach in our room’s bathroom - it was quite unsettling! And I think we are all aware that if you spot one, there’s usually many more hidden … My husband did inform the manager, though I’m not sure what next steps are being taken. I would hope that extermination (or a visit by an exterminator) is on the list. Breakfast is included - food options are standard (eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals, etc.). Hotel is pet friendly and there is also ample parking with security.

Customer Service was excellent! No issues our whole stay here, not sure why people complain about the food; It’s what you expect from a Holiday Inn Express. We left something in our room after we left and thankfully it wasn’t thrown away and they had it shipped to my home within a week. Also had issues with my billing but Beth handled it like a champ and got it settled. Definitely will stay here again!

We stayed here with our dog. We got a dog friendly room and the smell was so bad we had to get a different room. The woman working the front desk was very helpful and helped us relocate to another room that was also really smelly but not as bad as the first one. They really need to replace the carpets. Shower pressure was fantastic and the place was clean and very quiet.

So happy to come here. My flight was cancelled from Frontier Airlines and they didn't have anything or anyone to help us with information to either go to other airlines or other accommodations. Good thing my grand daughter found the Holiday Inn and the service here is Amazing. Your Staff are genuinely kind and helpful. They are Professional and Caring. Thank You for your patience and understanding for what is provided at this establishment. I hope to come back here in Albuquerque to stay longer for a real vacation!!😊😊😊

Maybe we were just exhausted after a long, continuous drive halfway across the continent, but this place offered a heavenly respite. The bed was *so* comfortable (much more so than the beds we'd slept on at Motel 6 and Super 8). It was perfect for a much needed long sleep. The shower, too, was a godsend. The showerhead produced a broad, strong stream that was just perfect for washing away the travel funk. We especially liked the array of name-brand shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles built into the wall. The decor and other amenities were excellent as well. Beth, the front desk staff who welcomed us and got us set up, was friendly, funny, and helpful. She gave us a great recommendation for where to take lunch/dinner. (Laguna Burger, just across the parking lot, served up the best shakes we've had in a long time.) Finally, the wide selection of complimentary breakfast options in the morning were pretty good. Cold cereal and milk, scrambled eggs and sausages, biscuits and gravy, warm flaky cinnamon rolls, and other assorted victuals were a great way to start the day. (By way of suggestion, I wish that chocolate milk had been on offer.)
