the three stars are entirely for the staff; quite friendly. the hotel had a nice structure that really looks like it may have been attractive at one point, but my first thought upon walking into it was "gee I hope they're going through Renovations or something". The room was, to be honest, kind of gross. The floors and Furniture did not seem clean or to be in good repair. It came at a very good price, but while I do love saving money, there are some corners that should not be cut. This place does seem like it has a lot of potential though.

Mixed experiences The hotel itself is nice, comfortable and modern enough but the experience with the staff is unpredictable. A certain part of the staff (Shannon and also a young man with glasses working behind the counter) is friendly and professional but another part is jealous, intimidating and even hostile. April was so rude and hostile that I did not feel comfortable at all walking in the lobby. When I locked myself out she forced me to walk all the way to my room a few times unnecessarily to find out that the key card was not working, because she had not scanned it correctly (most likely deliberate). When I complained to the manager Sheila Patel, I got a Notice of Termination (request to leave) later that same day. When I asked for the reason, I was told that the hotel would be almost fully booked in the near future. And I was told the hotel is in foreclosure. Patel was not entirely honest with me and is unreliable. She was also brushing off my complaint about April at that moment. The Hispanic lady cook who prepares breakfast every day in the breakfast room start to eventually hassle me about trivial things (you left the spoon in the wrong place) in order to chase me away from breakfast. If you want to live somewhere peacefully and long-term, this will not work out. It gets 3 stars because the buildings are comfortable, too bad you have to take some of the staff with it.

This hotel has the potential to be a very nice place to stay. The downside is that through whatever renovations have been done or are underway, the atmosphere of the place is a bit dreary. Some doors are obviously closed on rooms that will not be rented any time soon, as the handles are missing and the door has obvious damage. One of the rear doors does not work at all for gaining entry, which on a cold night is a bit irritating. The staff was quite pleasant to deal with, and the lobby/restaurant area provides a great day time atmosphere.

The place is a little run down no exercise room no breakfast. So the daily rate is too expensive in my opinion but the weekly rate is ok. The kitchen area doesn't have a sink which is frustrating but its overall a decent room no bugs they only have like 20 channels on the cable. There was a safe in one of the rooms but the heater was broken in another. When we asked to switch the front desk person said we'd have to remove all our stuff from one room before we could get another which was a hassle. It looks like it use to be a very nice place but they havent kept up with the maintenance that well.

If there could be 0 stars, this place would get it. Minor issues included: peeling wallpaper, dirty pillowcase, no blanket for the pullout couch, stinky refrigerator and poor quality beds and pillows. Major issue: our heater wasn't working (in late November). We told the staff after the first night of shivering, and we were told the maintenance staff would be in to fix it that day. We told the staff we'd be out all day. When we returned at 8pm to find the heat still not working, we were offered a small space heater for a 2-room suite (no note in the room, phone call during the day or even the space heater left in the room). After asking if we could move rooms, they offered the one across the hall but the door wouldn't work despite rekeying twice. We asked to check out and get refunded for the remainder of the trip (being willing to pay for the first freezing night.) However, because it was after checkout time, we were told we have to pay for two nights. When giving the examples of all the ways the hotel is in disrepair, the front desk clerk reminded me that is why they are cheap. We decided to formally dispute the charges and move to the Howard Johnson next door for an extra $3 a night. Well worth the price upgrade to have friendly staff rooms in good order, working heat and friendly competent staff. Do not go here no matter how good a deal you're getting!

Got a cheap rate, however the room I got was small. The building itself looked and sounded like it was going to fall apart. It was not cosmetically appealing on the outside as the grounds were dirty and trashy. Inside it wasn't much better with tattered and damaged furnishings as well as peeling wallpaper. I could hear every step and sound from the occupants of the room above me. The hallway was smelly and the room across the hall had trash outside the door that was there from 7:00pm til 8am when I left the next morning. Additionally someone in one of the rooms around me had two dogs the barked at every noise and pretty much barked all night. I remember this particular hotel was actually quite nice a couple years ago. I will not be staying here again. I can stay at much nicer establishments for similar prices.

We showed up at 10pm. We had a reservation. First, the good. Room was a double queen suite, with a sofa bed. It was comfy. Breakfast was good and has a wide selection. However...... the hotel is old and was a smoking hotel at some point. It still has the same carpet in the rooms and hallways. Very strong smoke smell. If you are allergic I would not recommend this hotel.

If I could give no stars I would. This hotel needs to be condemned immediately. I have notified the health department and the BBB. The ceiling is caving in in the lobby, the stairs are all crumbling, there is no ac, all of the buildings smell horrible. I was so sick when I stayed there and my doctor told me it was probably from mold. They no longer serve breakfast like they advertise and the pool is not working either.. The owners need to put some money into the business and fix what is wrong, we do not live in a third world country.

This place is horrible. We got there late at night after travelling all day. The first room we go into the heater didn't work. The carpet was damp through the whole room and smelled like mold. They upgraded us to a suite room which didn't smell. It was late so we went to sleep. In the morning we woke up and my husband went to take a shower. The water was brown and barely coming out so showering was out of the question. I went to the window to see what the day looked like outside. No screens on either window and the windows were unlocked. We were on the first floor.

Tried staying there for an extended stay cause we were in the middle of moving homes within the city we didn't make no noise and kept to ourselves. But got called from the front desk on the third day letting us know that we were no longer welcomed and had to check out by 12 pm, when asked the reason why the person at the front desk had to put me on hold to find out. We were told the woman staying in the room received complaints from the staff and was being difficult and did not pay or check out before 12 pm the day before which is not true. But it was earlier in that morning the front desk did allow my mother to go up and pay by 1 pm due to her being hooked up to a medical peritoneal dialysis machine and was unable to be there before 12 pm. I am her son i called the front desk through out the morning and got no answer to let them know i was on my way to go pay during my lunch time. When i arrived and payed everything seemed fine but turned out not the next day. So when checking out Shannon at the front desk advised my mother to seek alternatives to meet her accomodations and the manager did not even come out to talk with us at all during any time. So I advise everyone do not ask a lot of questions or complain about anything they will find a way to kick you out. They seem they don't like people staying longer then a day. First time ever to be told by a hotel that we were no longer welcomed to continue to stay. Staff at front desk did not seem welcoming or wanted to be there, doesn't answer the phone from the room and blames previous shift for turning down the ringer, some hallways are dark, one elevator to accommodate the whole two separated hotel complexes, all doors in hotel are suppose to have a room key card to open but do not work and lock. No proper lighting on signage, no security or security cameras. Seemed alright at first till you stay the whole day or longer.
