I was expecting something much worse after reading all the reviews. Borderline was going to eat the cost and find somewhere else to stay. Once we arrived we found the accommodations were perfectly fine for our one night stay. The room was clean, even if it did have cosmetic imperfections. The bed was comfortable, room was stocked with linens, and shower was hot with good pressure. Sure there are some shifty characters in the area, more so at night, but there were multiple night time security people walking around keeping things on lock. I did hear an altercation going down at night. Is it the most family friendly place to be? Most likely not. You get what pay for. And it’s not in the greatest area. However there are many hotels on that street. Everything in the room that we needed (fridge with freezer and ac unit) were in working order. It’s a decent place to stay in a central location if you are just traveling through and need somewhere to rest your head.

For the price range, the room was comfortable, clean and nicer place to stay compared to other budget range offerings. Towels were SURPRISINGLY high quality and soft! Bedding was also above-class. Made for a comfortable night's rest. Breakfast and front desk area was warm and uncomfortable so I didn't bother staying longer than needed. In fact, 2 homeless people forcefully came in to grab coffee and protein bars; which the front desk lady said they were helpless in chasing them out. Breakfast was forgettable, I just took a yogurt and coffee. Rooms had no microwave, only one available in the breakfast area. Didn't go to any of the facilities listed because they were closed anyway. Lightbulbs in the room was a mix of warm white and daylight - giving the otherwise nice room a "budget" look.

If you're looking to stay in a very ghetto hotel, then you've found the right place. Just pray that your shower curtain doesn't fall off the wall. Floors are gross, I had a bed spring sticking in my side most of the night and it seems that there was urine on the floor in a corner that the maids just didn't feel like cleaning. Its also in the worst part of Albuquerque, I mean, its a hard toss with that city anyway. But either way the fact that a cop is constantly patrolling should say it all. Any pictures you see on a travel site is from when the hotel was brand new. It really does not look that way anymore.

OMG........STOP.......DONT BOOK. First I have to say the staff seemed to be very friendly and understanding. The rooms on the other hand were not no where close to being acceptable. Our room was disgusting. Like as though it hadn't been cleaned ever. My in laws room had a bullet hole in the window. The area is so sketchy. Lots of homeless people and despair. If you are gonna own a hotel at least keep with the upkeep. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

It took 20 minutes to check in, even though I had a reservation, and there was no one else in the lobby. When I got into the room, It smelled of old cigarette smoke, and had an ash tray even though it was supposed to be a non smoking room. Bed sheet appeared to not have been changed, lamps did not work, most were missing the light bulbs. only light that worked was a ceiling light, none of the other lights worked. No outlet covers on the electrical outlet. No working telephone, there were two desk type phones on shelf over the clothes rack, but no cords. I requested a room change, with no phone I had to go back down to the lobby and wait. They moved me to another room a few doors away. This room smelled a little less like old cigarette smoke, and most of the lights worked. Still missing the outlet cover on the outlet hidden behind the table that I noticed when I tried to plug in my laptop. Sheets appeared to have been changed at least. Then when I used the toilet - It wouldn't flush! When I showered the shower wouldn't drain. Also be careful going up and down the outside stairs on the east side as the steel or iron supports for the stair treads are rusted mostly away and the stair tread seemed very unsafe and is a tripping hazard. The location puts it in an area with several vagrants around all evening and they or different ones, were still there in the morning. I had enough of the place and left long before I could try their advertised breakfast (doors were still locked). I gave this a 1 star, because there wasn't an option for 0 stars.

Had a moving truck and a car carrier. Someone tried to break in it. Smashed glass all over both my locks πŸ” vodka bottles. We were up all night. Very concerning area regret staying here. Worst place along our route from Chicago to Mesa. Addicts up all night running around. Tough road trip. Pet friendly. Sign in the window no rooms to locals. No microwaves in rooms. We left very early in the morning.

I rarely write reviews of the motels, because how would you review them? Clean + quick check-in is 5 stars for me. I guess you can rate then when things go wrong. Two things that make it 1-star experience: 1) there was only one large towel in the room (we were part of 4 people). I came over the front desk, asked (nicely :-) ) for more towels. I was ensured I'll get a few towels in a few minutes. No big deal. 30 minutes later I called the front desk, and I heard the same (you'll get the towels "in just a second"). 30 minutes later I went to bed. No towels showed up, ever. 2) different price than in the reservation confirmation email. Not by a lot (couple bucks), but annyoing. Another one takes another star away: Days inn/super8/... Usual have pretty standard continental breakfast. Sometimes you may get something hot (patties/eggs/hash browns etc) but that's unusual. This one was the opposite: there was nothing for breakfast. There was yogurt, apple, instant oat meal and granola bar and prepackaged cookie. There was only fork, there was no spoons. Overall, this place shouldn't have advertised breakfast. Because of this, it's a one-star experience and I'll not come back to this motel. Besides that it was nice. P.s. there are no towels in the pool area.

This location needs new management or intervention from corporate ASAP. The front desk staff is very friendly but it is evident they are working in an impossible situation. Reserved/paid for a room 6 months in advance and upon arrival was told what I paid for wasn't available. After a frustrating conversation finally got a room that was comparable. The room itself is in horrible condition with the following: bullet hole in window unfixed, all faux leather from desk chair worn off, had to unplug lamps to plug in phone to charge, shower head wrapped in literal bandage used for wounds to stop leaking, many holes in walls/plaster flaking away. We stayed for 5 days/4 nights and not once did we receive even basic room servicing - we had to dump our own trash cans, take dirty towels to front desk to get clean towels, and ask for toilet paper. We knew this was a cheap hotel at >$100 per night, but for the quality experienced it is not even worth $40 per night. We have stayed in dozens of hotels all over and this is hands down the worst ever. This is completely a breakdown of management/ownership that obviously doesnt care about the property.

!!!DONT STAY HERE!!! If I could rate this a zero I would!! Planned a 4 day stay here but when we arrived the motel was located in a sketchy area. Room total was $183 and paid $200 but didn't receive change. The first room that was given to us had a broken AC unit and was humid. Went back to the clerk and she gave us another room. Upon entering the room it was occurred by two male individuals with the reek of urine. Went back a third time and the clerk told me that the system went down and she couldn't do anything. I was fed up and went across to Quality inn where it was a HUGE improvement. They mentioned that the refund was going to be given back but a month later nothing! Today we went back and the lady clerk was rude and yelled "We don't do refund!!"

Checked in after reserving a room weeks ago, didn't have the handicap room so got a different one ground floor. Floors were dirty, bedsheets had gravel in them and fresh stains on pillowcases. They did have sheets for us to change them ourselves, but when we pulled the old sheets there were socks and a used condom so we cancelled our reservation and went elsewhere.

The good: rooms were clean, service desk was nice. The bad: unsavory characters all around, not sure human or canine waste on sidewalks. Note at entrance "no locals allowed". Buildings run down. The breakfast was the worst continental one I've ever encountered. Definitely will not go back there.

Called them after a fiasco with the place next door and they got us into a room right away (11am) so we could clean up and shower with hot water. Everyone we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. Rooms were clean, comfortable and it was quiet. Will make this our primary place to stay when in Alb!!

A/C shuts down automatically every couple of hours so got hot very quick. Called the front desk and clerk said that was normal...turns out they put a table directly in front of unit so was essentially registering a colder temperature then the room actually was. Once I moved the table we had full functionality of a/c. NOTE TO HOTEL ;-)

Room was crazy hot when we got in. The services (laundry, pool, ice machine) could use some changes. Laundry room is from 8am to 3pm... so the people that check in that day cannot do laundry... The inside pool was closed at 9pm, all other hotels they close at 10 or 11pm. The ice machine has hours of operation as well which is ridiculous and the one that didn't have hours on the main floor was broken. The location was okay but there is a lot of homeless people around. Pros: room set up was good, when the ac was on it worked really well and was quiet. Wifi was good.

Surprised to see all the reviews acting like this hotel wasn’t a fine establishment for its price point. Staff was nice and respectful to me during my two night stay, and the room was perfectly clean and had all the amenities you would expect at this price point. The entire stay I felt safe and the staff was responsive and immediately helpful when I called about an issue with the showers water pressure. they Breakfast could use some work but all around I’m glad I ignored the google star rating instead of staying at a more expensive place.

This place was terrible. We had 3 different rooms, as there were 12 people with us. (5 being children) Room# 1 (116) - smelled so heavily of Marijuana it was unbearable. Had to be moved to a room #129 which only smelled of stale cigarettes, but claimed to be a non smoking room. It was right next to room# 130 which had obviously been kicked in, with the door still beeping that it was not shut. Room# 2 (217) would not lock. We did not need the key card to get in. The deadbolt also did not prevent the door from being opened from the outside. We had to be moved to room 212 (also smelled of Marijuana, had stains on theblanket, had no shower curtain, and had dirty drawers) Room# 3 (216) wasn't too bad, but still smelled of stale cigarettes. (We had rented non smoking rooms.) One of the rooms had towels (2) but nothing more. The front desk lady had my brother in law "walk the property" to find towels from other empty rooms.... they had no linen stocked, so we're having to borrow from other rooms, and still didn't have enough towels, hand towels, and no washcloths for 3 rooms... Literally had a customer walking around to Every. Single. Empty. Room. to find linen for their stay at 9pm... This place is a hot mess. I do not recommend.

I learned new manager had taken over in May and had cleaned it up from the previous condition. He is trying and making improvements slowly but struggling. Staff trying hard but overwhelmed, only the front desk calmly taking things as they are, not much help. I had issues after checking in, five times, and finally ending getting a second room with many issues as well. No wastebasket, 1 towel, no soap or shampoo, and some lights not working; the room is a nice size with a great layout, and the furniture is comfy but there were issues with the TV that the Manager had to fix. I was checked out each day by the Front Desk Receptionist telling me I had only one night stay when in fact I had made a 3-day/night reservation. I tried providing the receipt they gave me on the first day at check-in reflecting exactly that but he refused to accept and threatened me with " I will charge you for a full day if you are not out by 11". He kept to the line "I can only do with what I have in the system." Not accepting the error as theirs, or apologizing for the inconvenience they had put me through in the three days there and, tried to blame me for their error! The area is flooded with homeless drifters, learned from friends this is the "skid row" of Albuquerque now. Had late-night visitors knocking on doors looking for someone and gunshots occasionally. That's a shame it's a great area off the freeway and surrounded by several other popular motels,5 motels adjoining each other, Days Inn, Quality, Travel Lodge, la Quinta, and Hampton. Overall a good-looking place, except for the front desk demeanor constant checking me out daily, and crowds hanging around but saw the same thing in other areas in the city.

To start we had to pay double the regular price because the balloon fest was in town. They had a 2 bed on the the first floor with drive up access to unload and reload the car, and we're weary enough that we didn't fuss. Destinee was very gracious at the front desk. The room was probably not worth the original rate due to the condition and lack of cleanliness, but the amenities were there TV, toilet, sink, little fridge. and we were just a 1 nighter. We were able to walk across the parking lot to eat at Buffalo wild wings which was nice to stretch our legs and not have to get back in the car right away.

The staff we interacted with were great! Easy late night check-in. The room was okay, the floor wasn't swept or mopped, the courtesy shampoos and lotion were opened and half full, no body wash provided, and the bathtub wasn't cleaned. The temperature in the room was perfect when we arrived. There was a coffee pot, but no coffee for the machine. The next morning, I noticed Albert cleaning another room: sweeping, mopping, and replacing ALL of the courtesy toiletries. Make sure Albert cleaned your room before you check in. He's the best!

I booked this hotel through Expedia but cancelled well before the cancellation deadline for refund. Unfortunately, I got charged for this stay and have been trying to get a refund directly with hotel. The manager who is the only one that can initiate refunds is never available to answer my phone calls and she has never returned any of my phone calls to discuss this matter. As a result, my credit card company and Expedia have had to get involved to get me back my refund. Would not recommend this hotel due to the lack of service.

Although convenient to freeways and fast food and gas area has many homeless. Plenty of cops around though and no trouble. Room was not very good and passed on the shower. Indoor pool not very clean.

We attempted to come to this hotel and felt very unsafe! The streets are lined with the homeless, and the property feels very rundown. We shouldn't have expected much, for the price we paid, but we should be able to feel safe. I'd rather lose my money than stay in this hotel!

  • 2/5 Keyle T. 9 months ago on Google
DO Not Book HereNot Safe! There are homeless, gang activity, and police everywhere! The room was clean, but only one large towel for 4 people, and when we asked for more the said the didn't have more. The pool was not fully filled and freezing. Hot tub didn't work. During our stey the hotel had some police situation and the hotel closed. People already in rooms were aloud to stay but , office, pool, breakfast everything closed. Absolutely the worst experience !!!

Never stay here. Check-in was fine. Great customer service. As we entered our hotel room, it was full of empty liquor bottles, and beds were unmade and stains on the covers. Drug deals happened right in front of our kids. Homeless people sleeping under the stairs.

  • 1/5 Cynthia A. 10 months ago on Google
I reserved online and, when we arrived, I asked for a room on the first floor. We were given a room that was already occupied. Toilet worked poorly. Shower was cracked. Beds were okay, no bedbugs. The pool was cold and not clean (water was cloudy). The hotel is rundown. This isn’t our first disappointment with a Wyndham hotel. I’ll think twice about using them again.

My family and I are traveling across the country and everything had been going wrong. I have 5 people and 6 dogs. We needed sleep bad. We went to a motel 6 and upon entering the disgusting rooms and seeing all the drug traffic, we immediately checked out and went next door to the days inn. Javier was working the front desk and he went above and beyond to rectify someone else’s incompetence. He got me the rooms I needed and he made me feel safe in a not so safe area. The rooms themselves aren’t great but the service completely made up for it. Javier really took my terribly awful day and did everything he could to make it a little better for me. By far best customer service I’ve ever had from a front desk person across the board. And I’ve stayed at 1 star motels all the way to 5 star resorts. He was amazing. Thank you javier

I would have given the hotel one star, but they did have four security guys walking the premises at night. So we felt a bit safer. We didn't have towels aside from one hand towel and one wash cloth even after asking four different times. The inside pool was closed for cleaning on a Friday. The bathroom in the office area was also closed. Just say, "No!"

  • 1/5 David B. 9 months ago on Google
The room we were to stay at had paint supplies all over it and was clearly not ready for us. The room next door had a broken window. We did not feel safe at all and promptly went back to get a refund for the room. The manager was not there to give the refund, so I called her an hour later from our new hotel to get a refund. She said it would go through within a few days. That never happened and when I tried to call her back half a dozen times over the following week, she never responded, never called back, and didn't respond to emails either. I've had to go through Wyndham customer service to get a refund. Don't stay at this hotel!

If I can give zero stars to this ghetto dump hotel, I would. This place is not in a good area at Alburquerque and populated with homeless people. The staff is very unorganized, and unprofessional. Half of the time, they are on their phones instead of helping guests who booked here. The rooms are HORRIBLE!!!! The first room that me and my wife went in had no working tv and phone. so we requested to be switched to another room. In the second room the tv and phone works, but the bathroom light is burned out and was never replaced by maintenance. Plus the bathroom was missing some towels, so we had to inform the staff at the lobby that we needed towels in the bathroom in which they had given us. Bottom line, the worst hotel in the area, will never ever come back to any Days Inn hotels again!!!!!

  • 2/5 Mary Lou N. 1 year ago on Google
The motel location looked nothing like the pictures online, the first room they gave us was dirty, we went back to office, they gave us a different room that was decent! We already prepaid 2 night non refundable online, so we had to stay there, there were homeless people on drugs hanging around the motel, and is fenced in, and the police patrol the area at night I felt a little safer! Ask people before you book a motel if your not familiar with the area!!!

  • 4/5 Joshua K. 1 year ago on Google
Overall everything was up to my expectation. Only negative was the room did smell a bit like smoke. However the front desk associate, Amit, was pleasant, timely and helpful. Parking was decent. Room was clean and comfy.

Not cleaned well- hair on floor, between sheets, and in shower. Shower curtain not cleaned after previous guests (soap, hair and blood spots). Not impressed. Room was not resupplied, had to ask for towels and shampoo. The heater didn't work either, it was snowing out, and it only blew cool air even set up to 90 degrees.

  • 1/5 Azalea S. 1 year ago on Google
The location isn't the best, there are a couple homeless people down the street. The room we were in was chilly and the heater didn't work. My sister's room had a smell. The pool wasn't open. There was a couple that fought literally outside the room window. There were other families that went to the office to complain about dirty rooms. We couldn't switch rooms because there were "no clean rooms." As I understand, it's because "no housekeepers wanted to work." Probably a fault of management. The breakfast wasn't much of one. Do not recommend this place.

  • 2/5 Teri T. 1 year ago on Google
It's clean enough I guess. The fridge was dirty and there was someone else's whisker or something in the coffee pot which makes me wonder. Was someone trimming their nosehairs? Trimming their stach, eyebrows? Or was the same rag used to clean the bathroom counter and the coffee pot? Maybe even the toilet. Are the blankets fresh? Probably not. I now question everything. It was cheap enough.

  • 3/5 Lora P. 1 year ago on Google
Pool needs to be shocked there is a film around the whole hot tub and pool and they are green. Air conditioner doesn't work. Running out of key cards so half of our party didn't get an extra key card to go out on the town. They have shampoo, but no conditioner. Other than that, it's I guess better than a roach motel. I like that there isn't carpet and that bdubs is right next door. Sketchy part of town nonetheless.

  • 4/5 Michael M. 1 year ago on Google
Decent enough that I stayed twice in about a week. Felt abandoned - no business center, furniture in breakfast area was stacked, very minimal breakfast supplied, and not many people around. Beds were ok but not great. Reasonably clean. Pool area was ok but could use a bit of cleaning and decor.

  • 2/5 Susan H. 1 year ago on Google
Room was clean and area was safe. But room was HOT, on a 103 degree day, they gave us a room at 8pm where AC had been off all day and it stayed warm & stuffy all night. Refrigerator was unplugged - I had to pull drawer furniture out and squeeze in to reach the plug. Beds were adequate. Pool had some wear & tear, but it was clean and fresh. Next time we will fork out the $$ for a nicer place!

  • 1/5 Maria M. 2 years ago on Google
Worst hotel in my life!!! And I am 70 plus. Requested king size bed, pet friendly, and ADA compliant. We arrive and have a second story room and NO elevator!!! The bathroom is a regular bathroom with the tub. So, we were not able to take a shower!!!! Homeless were people camped outside. The place reeked of tobacco smoke and was so filthy going up stairwell that we about gagged! When we were in the room, the ceiling light and two wall lights did NOT work So disappointed that this is now a Wyndam??

  • 3/5 Allena E. 2 years ago on Google
Staff was nice. But hotel needs repairs that should be relatively simple. Such as shower curtain rod loose in bathroom. Heater base pulling away from wall. Had to put table up against it. Room 115. Notified staff upon chrck out.

No breakfast ,cold coffee , no sweet creamers. Gave me a hard time to check in. Even tho i had a confirmation number. False advertising on so many levels. Pool was closed. Cant use the spa. Sorry but not even a microwave in room.

Okay for a night's stay, if you must. We have stayed at this Days Inn several times traveling through ABQ over the past 10 years, and I'm certain the bedspreads have never been replaced. There is a huge homeless encampment <1 block away. Desk clerk (or the management that came up with this scheme) needs to grow some common sense-- I was the only person in the lobby with glass between me and the clerk and was told "wear mask or you will be denied service." Not "we request..." or "here's a mask." Since it's too late to cancel without paying full price I don't really have a choice at that point. Yes there's a mask mandate in NM, yet another Wyndham-owned hotel we'd stayed at earlier in the week elsewhere in NM didn't make such a demand. Staying away from west ABQ location from now on, as there was not much going for it to begin with.
