Great location! Charming rooms! Amazing breakfast! We walked to the shops in Old Town Albuquerque; we could have walked to three different museums, but we needed our car for other excursions afterward. We had the smallest room, with two twin beds, perfect for my daughter and I. The high ceilings, the new "antique" tile. the blue glass toadstool door stop and the footed tub all added to the cozy feeling in our room. AND the breakfast, mmmmm, the blue corn scones and fresh fruit with homemade sorbet were my favorites, while my daughter was blown away by the fruit juice blends (blueberry-prickly pear, for instance). The hosts made check in and check out so easy with timely, friendly texts. What a delightful stay we had!

My husband and I had a wonderful 3-night stay in late March, 2022. The room was very comfortable and the heating/cooling system easy to operate. The Bottger Mansion is in a fantastic location on the edge of Old Town, Albuquerque. There were many interesting restaurants and shops all within easy walking distance - it was so nice not to have to hunt for parking spaces! Steve and Kathy are warm and hospitable innkeepers, and their breakfasts are not to be missed!

A delightful B&B with historically themed rooms. The beds are comfy, the robes fluffy, and the cookies that greet you when you check in to your room delectable! Breakfast is a true pleasure for anyone who loves their food. Steve has an extremely well-judged culinary sensibility and he knows how to wield his ingredients to make them more than the sum of their parts. Highly, highly recommended.

Steve and Kathy are friendly but professional. The house spacious and charming, and well-located in Old Town. Breakfast is delicious--and fairly healthy too with fruit and a few veggies. Roku in the room was easy to use and the bed very comfortable. The hosts were kind to let me check in early after my flight was cancelled and I needed to leave the place I was staying. Although not far from a busy street (Central) the house is quiet--must be those adobe walls! Good for people who enjoy a quiet, peaceful place to stay.

10/10 great experience!!! As 28 year olds we were skeptical about staying at a B&B, but Bottger exceeded our expectations. Our room was homey and romantic, and the hospitality was phenomenal. The owners took great care of us and cooked the best breakfast. It was the best way to start our day. As well, the location is amazing, and walking distance to Antiquity Restaurant and Old Town which we loved. (P.S the house cats are adorable).

Lovely! It’s a historic home with high ceilings and warm, creaky floors, modern bathrooms and pretty spots to sit in the parlor or the garden. The room was very comfortable. We were in the upstairs front room and noise was not a problem at all. The breakfast was fantastic! I only have a photo when I was about done, so use your imagination. Everything is home made and delightful, brought out to you in courses. You have your own table , but way to chat with other guests if you’d like. The breakfast room is open all the time with access to hot drinks, ice, water, and a small guest fridge. We ate takeout there one night and it was perfect!!!!! Location is perfect. It’s easy walking to old town, restaurants, museums, shopping, and historical sites, located just a block or two away. The hosts are friendly enough. If you have a question, they would probably be able and available to ask. Parking (free) is right across the street. Security is excellent and easy. We look forward to staying again!!!!!!

This is a jewel in the middle of Old Town! It’s so refreshing to stay in a historic B&B, that has history, character, and welcoming hosts. Certainly something you would never get from a larger hotel. The bedrooms and bathrooms are meticulously clean and homey. But I would have to say the crown jewel is the warmth of the hosts and the fabulous breakfast. So grateful they put their recipes on their website! The heart of Old Town with its many restaurants and shops is a short walk away. I will definitely visit again!

We loved our stay in the Route 66 Room. When we entered our room, we were pleasantly surprised to find delicious cookies!! We had an additional sitting room, filled with light. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower hot with great water pressure. Daily breakfasts were delicious, as was the coffee! My husband and I loved the location...easily walkable to restaurants and Old Town. It was a short drive anywhere else. This historic house was a treasure, the hosts friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend.

We booked a room here just a day or so from when we arrived based on an on-line description. Our stay exceeded my expectations on every level. The communication with our host was timely, detailed and very helpful. The location of the property was walking distance to Old Town shops, museums and restaurants. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, well appointed with a clawfoot bathtub which I used. Breakfast was delicious. Hosts and host kitties were nice. The property had been well restored and well taken care of but still had the charm and interest of a home with a story. I also thought the price was very reasonable. I look forward to returning. Thanks for hosting us.

We recently enjoyed a lovely evening in room 21 at the Bottger Mansion. It was conveniently located to the airport as well as had some restaurants within walking distance. The grounds were just beautiful and it was so nice to sit out on the lawn at the table provided to enjoy their freshly brewed coffee in the morning. They have our favorite pottery shop's coffee mugs and we were able to purchase one with the Bottger Mansion logo on it. We were served a delicious breakfast outside in their courtyard. We would definitely consider staying there again in the future.

Bottger Mansion is a cute little place, and could not be better located for seeing the sights in Old Town. The rooms have a lot of character, and are well-maintained. The breakfasts are excellent! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and will happily stay at in Bottger Mansion again the next time I visit in Albuquerque.

My sister and I stayed here during a road-trip through the Southwest. Steve and Kathy were absolutely wonderful hosts. A true B&B, the breakfast we had (that they cooked!!) was delicious. Our room was meticulously appointed. We were only in town for a night and it was just what we needed as a pit stop.

Bottger Mansion has a fascinating history as one of the oldest buildings in Albuquerque’s Old Town. Some of the architectural features like the pressed tin ceilings are surprising to find in a B&B. One will enjoy a gourmet breakfast after a good night’s sleep in an immaculate room. The front garden is a lovely place to relax in good weather. The friendly, welcoming owners and staff are a font of information about Albuquerque and Old Town. We had a wonderful visit and know anyone would, too.

We spent the weekend here for our 15 year anniversary. Its a quaint little 2 story mansion. Our room was on the second floor. It was a cute classic little purple room. Breakfast was spectacular. Compliments to the chef. We had a beautiful view of the city and plaza. The couple that took care of us were very lovely and hospitable. It was a pleasant and quiet stay. All around we would love to go back.

What a lovely Bed and Breakfast on the edge of Old Town Albuquerque. We stayed in the Erna Ferguson room. The view was amazing and the room was quaint and charming. The grounds are lovely with a fenced in courtyard. If the weather is warm breakfast outside is a treat. The breakfast was beyond amazing. Two roaming cats a plus . I would highly recommend this little gem đź’Ž

Bottger Mansion will forever be special to us. My husband and I stayed in the cool Route 66 suite, and the breakfasts each morning were lovingly made and delicious. We came to Albuquerque to elope, and Steve and Kathy made our wedding so lovely! We hadn't completely planned it out, but they were resourceful and oh, so sweet, and pulled it all together in record time. We hadn't written vows, but Kathy's were beautiful and spot-on and made us tear up and hold each other even closer. The property, itself, is lovely and has a cool history, besides being perfectly situated in Old Town Albuquerque, near the plaza, shops, and restaurants.

The Bottger Mansion was conveniently located in Old Town Albuquerque making it quite the hidden gem. Kathy and Steve were the most personable and caring hosts and really made sure that you enjoyed your stay. We loved it so much we stayed 2xs in one week ( arrival and departure). The welcome cookies in your room, home cooked breakfast, the cute house kitties and visits from the local hummingbirds as you eat on the patio, makes this place super special. Looking forward to our next visit to Albuquerque.

This beautiful mansion houses an outstanding bed and breakfast one block from Old Town Albuquerque. I had never stayed in a bed and breakfast, but decided to give this one a try based on its location. The location was perfect with convenient parking across the street. Our room was spacious and comfortable with all the amenities one would want. Breakfast was served on their patio the next morning and was absolutely delicious. I seriously had the best oatmeal I have ever tasted. I highly recommend the Bottger Mansion and could not have asked for a more delightful experience.

Love Bottger Mansion! I have stayed here several times over the last 10 years. The rooms are interesting and cozy—beats a hotel room any day. Everything is so clean and inviting. Breakfast is homemade by the owner/chef and delicious. Everyone I have met are friendly and share travel information. The owners are great and keep making improvements to make our stay even better. Can’t wait to come back and have breakfast on their new side patio!

My family and I had a wonderful experience staying at the Bottger Mansion of Old Town. After a long hot day of driving, it was nice to retreat to cool luxurious rooms before heading out to dinner. The building and grounds are immaculate, and the hosts are pleasant and accommodating. I made a menu request (dietary restriction) when was handled elegantly, one of the best meals I had on my vacation. My only regret is that I didn't book more nights.

Staying here was perfect for our family. We were at the edge of Old Town and could walk to places easily. The breakfasts were delicious. Steve and Kathy were wonderful hosts and provided us with ideas of experiences we would have missed learning about on our own. The rooms were very comfortable and the teens liked having a room with the twin beds

Bottger is a place for those who appreciate a bed and breakfast stay. It is located within walking distance of most activities around Old Town. Our room was comfortable with antique furniture and conveniences of air conditioning, television, and a well equipped bathroom. Our room and all common areas were clean with everything in its place. Kathy is a welcoming host with suggestions for eateries and sites to visit. She kept us well informed and comfortable with our outings. Husband Steve, is the chef and provides tasty breakfasts of casseroles, muffins, fresh fruit medley, juices, and fresh coffee or tea. Steve and Kathy make a great team for a great stay.

Our stay at Bottger Mansion was absolutely delightful! We stayed in the Tingley Room, on the second floor. It’s quiet and cozy, nestled behind the stairwell. The bed was supportive and the sheets were so buttery soft that we took a photo of the tag and ordered ourselves a set for our home! We slept like babies for the duration of our stay. There are so many thoughtful touches in this B&B, including last minute supplies for travelers such as spare toothbrushes if needed. There’s a communal fridge/microwave and coffee/tea station in the dining area for guests to use, including basic utensils and dishware. Socks and Gray Cat, the resident felines, make things feel like home. I loved the book swap in the parlor, and the garden out front is absolute serenity day or night with bird feeders, fountains, and benches for a romantic place to sit and talk, or quiet nook to read in. Now, onto the “breakfast” of this Bed and Breakfast- Kathy and Steve are incredible chefs! Each morning we were greeted with freshly pressed juice and phenomenal, delicious hot meals to start our day. It’s very apparent that they take pride in the cuisine that they serve to their guests. Every day features a different menu that is able to accommodate meat eaters and vegetarians alike. If they opened a restaurant, we’d be regulars there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back to visit soon!

Amazing first Bed & Breakfast experience! I was worried about noise and privacy, but both were way better than any hotel I've ever stayed in. 3 of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Very clean and quaint. The owners are a sweet, 2 peas in a pod couple and I loved the dry humor! They text you and tell you everything you need to know. As a solo female traveler, Steve gave me some good advice to make sure I stayed safe where I was going. Kathy took the time to give me such good info that I'm already planning my return! It was nice to return "home" at night to a sleepy house and be greeted by one of the cats. There's access to cold drinking water, ice and a bucket, hot water, Coca-Cola, glasses, utensils and even some personal hygiene products. However, to be able to enjoy this piece of history, walk out the front gate and explore Old Town is pricelessđź‘Ś

We were traveling through Albuquerque and picked Bottger Mansion for our overnight stay, based upon the reviews we read. We were not disappointed. Everything we read was true. The property is beautiful, our room was gorgeous, we stayed in the Route 66 room. It has a cute little sitting room that I really enjoyed. The room was really clean, bedding was wonderful. Breakfast was amazing with fresh pineapple and coconut sorbet, followed by blueberry French toast with lemon sauce and turkey sausage. The owners are very friendly and I love their two cats on the property. All of the other guests were really friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them. Would definitely want to stay here again. Would be so much fun to stay there with a group of friends.

We stayed in the beautiful Edward Buxton Cristy room in this warm and inviting Bed and Breakfast. Our room was exceptionally clean, and although the weather outside was hot our room was climate controlled by a quiet and consistent cooling system. The mansion itself is lovely, with an inviting living room which is open for guests. Breakfast was tasty and was served in the shaded garden outside. Old Town Albuquerque was close by. Hosts Kathy and Steve are welcoming and organized. Our reservation was handled expeditiously. Our check-in was easy and hastle free. We heartily recommend the Bottger Mansion as a superb place to stay in Albuquerque.

We loved everything about this place! The close proximity to Old Town was perfect. We were able to walk to restaurants and shops easily. Kathy and Steve were excellent B & B hosts - helpful, attentive but not intrusive. Each morning the breakfast was delicious. We stayed in the Route 66 room, it was comfortable and clean. They supplied us with everything we needed. The cookies were a nice treat.

My flight came in very late, but that was not a problem. All the instructions were very easy to follow. Beds were comfortable, cats were adorable, hosts were very kind and made an excellent breakfast. I very much enjoyed the personal maps they provided, and would not have gone to the botanical garden otherwise, which was a highlight of my trip!

I had a delightful stay at Bottger Mansion. My room was comfortable & quiet, the hosts were kind & helpful, and the breakfasts were 10/10. Little details such as taking my dietary restrictions into consideration made this a special stay. Plus the location is perfect! Highly recommend for couples or solo travelers.

This is our go-to anytime we're in Albuquerque. Comfortable beds in a lovely history-laden old mansion. And the breakfast is always amazing, delicious and top-notch. The long time owners of Bottger have their busy routine down to a perfectly choreographed dance with time to chat and offer information and history. Thanks Cathy and Steve for another lovely stay. There were many amazing things at Bottger - like attention to details, history books for each room, comfy beds, and many thoughtful touches. However, truly the high point was the gourmet breakfasts. I am not sure what Steve did in his former career, but he is an incredible chef! A French Toast Croissant that combined a hint of sweetness with just the right touch of orange filling paired perfectly with an almond topping. Homemade juices (hard to say which was better between Orange-Mango-Ginger and Blueberry-Prickly Pear), homemade sorbet on top of perfect fruit combinations, and their own turkey sausage. Even if you are not brave enough to taste a brand new gourmet creation, you will find that the cereal alternative is a perfect homemade granola! And that was just one morning! We couldn't wait until the next morning! The rooms are great: homemade cookies, cold water pitchers, books to keep if you want, remote controlled heater/cooler in each room, chairs and a small table in the room, beautifully decorated bathrooms, clean robe for each guest, and more. The house is nice with fresh coffee set out early (and you can make your own if you want some at another time), great teas from a local tea house, boiling water always available, as is ice and fresh water, a guest fridge for your use with some free sodas tossed in, umbrellas set out for guest use (which we did), and two rescue cats. The grounds are fun with lots of bird feeders for our viewing enjoyment. The location in Old Town is amazing. Parking is easy. And did I mention the Breakfasts?!?! I can't believe he is the chef at a small bed and breakfast and not at the most expensive restaurant in town! Flavors balanced, choices well thought out, recipes perfected. Truly amazing!

Our stay at Bottger was wonderful. Very convenient spot in Old Town, with free parking just across the street. We stayed in the Route 66 suite which had an extremely comfortable bed and a lovely sitting room, where we enjoyed our coffee and tea in the mornings. Steve cooked delicious breakfasts both mornings that felt really luxurious. Kathy and Steve were both kind and friendly hosts, and Socks and Grey Cat were too! If we ever return to Albuquerque, we will absolutely stay here again.

We selected the Bottger Mansion for its proximity to Old Town, and were delighted by its old-world charm, the resident cats, and the light and delightful breakfast the following morning. The grounds are well-designed and attended. I really appreciated the attention to detail throughout. What a wonderful respite from the soulless hotel chains that, as world-wide business traveler, I often find myself in. I would not hesitate to recommend this to my friends and fellow travelers.

A wonderful stay, thanks to Kathy and Steve, Bottger Mansion's very friendly hosts. Their timely text communications made everything go smoothly, from check-in to parking to restaurant suggestions. The historic inn room was updated and very comfortable, much cozier than a hotel. The inn has a lovely walled garden out front where one can relax under the trees and occasionally spot Greycat and Socks. The Old Town location is a short walk to restaurants, shops and museums. But the highlight was the amazing breakfasts, freshly prepared to order and a gourmet delight! Not your ordinary B+B breakfasts! Highly recommended!

What a great place to stay. Steve and Kathy were amazing. Freshly baked cookies in our room upon arrival. Breakfast was exquisite, from Steve's preparation to Kathy's serving. Our first real stay at a Bed and Breakfast and it certainly did not disappoint. The room and entire home was clean. Many of the rooms were booked and the noise was little to none and never ran into anyone except at breakfast. Location is perfect, just a couple blocks away from Old Town Square, and Duran's Pharmacy - a must stop location for lunch. Communications was very clear and informative. Thank you for the hospitality ... a must stay while in Santa Fe!
