We stayed here for a long weekend. The hotel overall is fine. We came back late Saturday night and our hotel room smelled very strongly of pot/weed/ marijuana. I am very sensitive to the smell. I went to the front desk and was told they were full and nothing could be done. I went back to the room and the smell was overwhelming, so I went back to the front desk to complain again. The agent came to our room and agreed that the smell was quite strong. We were told nothing could be done and we should open our windows (that had no screens, so then the bugs came in). The whole situation was ridiculous and unacceptable. It seems that all of the rooms vent together and they need to fix that.

The staff here were absolutely excellent. The friendliest and most helpful hotel staff I have ever encountered. 💯% recommend! Jonathan in particular was very warm and friendly, he even helped my wife and I get to sleep by giving us tea in the middle of the night. Great work!! Stephanie was also very helpful and friendly.

nice lobby but the room was terrible. AC/ heater was worse than a truck driving by, housekeeping apparently turns the heat up to dry the carpet, so when I walked in the room was 84F. Could not actually stay in there. asked for a quiet room so she put me in the front right above the entrance and the busy street. Toilet ran by itself several times an hour, Barely any light in the bathroom. weird room layout. no outlets by the bed. I will say the water pressure and shower were nice. Staff was very friendly except the disinterested front desk person. will probably stay at airport next time. bummer, Hyatt usually does great job

Room was gross. Old. The shower was disgusting - glass has never been truly cleaned. Stains all over carpet. Cable didn’t work. Hot water took 15 min to get hot. Overall if I hadn’t been completely exhausted I would have just checked back out. Front desk staff was very kind

Do not stay here. We reserved a king bed room, we checked in and they gave us two full beds without telling us. We found out when we entered the room then it was too late to cancel. WiFi doesn't work. Only the front door works, none of the side doors work. Elevators are 50/50. Absolutely horrendous experience. I will never stay here again. Oh yeah and the pool is closed.

It's a hotel. Our room was. But dirty on check in. Plastic cups, cup rings in the sink. The ceiling had a crack and water damage. The pullout bed was covered in dog hair. You could tell the sheets hadn't been changed. Location is great.. right next to Uptown shopping center so food and shopping.

This was not what I would expect from Hyatt. The staff was super nice, yet the pillows were horrible. So was the bed. Beds were also extremely small. Spent 10 min trying to order a movie only to be told you cannot order movies even the TV was stuck on the movie preview channel. No water in the room and difficult to navigate the elevator system. To top it off breakfast was cold :/

I have stayed at the Hyatt Place Uptown many times and my most recent visit a week ago was the best yet! My room was sparkling clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was hot and fresh with lots of choices. Best of all, the staff were all pleasant and helpful - especially Sara, who checked me in and worked both nights during my visit. This is a great place to stay in Albuquerque for business or pleasure - I highly recommend it!

Great Hyatt. Efficient & friendly staff. Spacious & clean room I had a top floor with a lovely Mountain View. Good breakfast with some regional foods and a regular spread . Very close to lots of restaurants and shopping .

Everyone at this hotel is super friendly, always courteous. Paul at the front desk is great. Having a great breakfast every morning is a perfect way to start the day. Check in and parking is super smooth rooms are spotless. Highly recommend

Clean room, great staff, amazing location for shopping. My only gripe is water pressure in the shower was non-existent. For a $200 per night room, the shower should be more powerful than the sink.

The people there were very helpful n friendly. Want to give a shout out to Nicole n Hector. They work at the front desk. I talked with them for hours. They are very caring people. And good at there jobs. My room was always clean. The breakfast was really good. I stayed a week n had the most wonderful experience!! I recommend everyone to stay there. Can't say a bad word. Also. Nicole was so kind on my Birthday there! May 2023

Everything you need very close by. Lots of things within walking distance. Free hot breakfast was something to eat before hitting the road. I had eggs, sausage links, French toast sticks and potatoes. I did appreciate the bananas and stevia sweetener. Most Hyatts don't set bananas out for breakfast. Would've appreciated some yogurts (individual). The shower was the smallest hotel shower that I've ever seen. Beds were comfortable and firm. Room was cleaned pretty well. My bleach wipes weren't brown after wiping down the surfaces. I appreciate the housekeeping staff there. Thank you. Hotel staff were all very very friendly and seemed like genuinely happy people. Hotel desk clerk (I think his name is either Hector or Edgar. Sorry, he didn't tell me personally. I overheard him telling another guest. Anyway, the guy with 5 dogs and one is pregnant), he's so nice and welcoming and personable. 3 stars because of the small size shower. I would stay here again

Service was friendly. Rooms are outdated and bathrooms are very dark. I don’t recall this being an issue on higher floors so maybe it was just the second floor. Also housekeeping unlocked my door and tried to enter moments after I checked in which gave me a heart attack. But everyone was nice and the breakfast is always solidly good. Safe part of town with access to great shops and dining literally across the street.

Stayed here on business for a few nights. The area is really good, tons of restaurants and shopping right across the street. Feels safe for Albuquerque. The breakfast has healthier options and is much better than other continental breakfasts. Room was comfortable and large.

Full disclosure I am a Hyatt Place aficionado…I love this brand. The Hyatt Place’s interior lobby design features and room layouts encourage a great boutique hotel ambience. I expected to stay one night and stayed at least 5 nights while my car repairs were completed. This property Albuquerque Hyatt Place is especially wonderful because of the efforts of Hector,Paul,Desi,Tana, and Indira. While ALL staff were Covid Careful, my experience felt like a vacation because of the efforts and friendliness of the key staff Hector, Paul, Desi, Tana, and Indira. The caretaker of the back and front of the property paid meticulous attention to the details of his tasks as did others with housekeeping duties. In my opinion, all Hyatt Place properties should adopt the Albuquerque EGGS. They are made with a multitude of fresh peppers and herbs. YUM! It was my observation that extra effort and love are going into the Hyatt Place Albuquerque eggs each and every morning. I have nothing negative to say. That’s unusual for me! Thank you Hyatt Place for your beautiful properties across the country. Thank you for your kind pet policy. Thank you Albuquerque for being above and beyond.

Clean rooms in an upscale downtown hotel. Rooms are a bit small due to the design inside, not very space conscious, and lobby areas are also small. There is a bar downstairs however it’s better to venture outside the hotel for more lively atmosphere. Shopping complex located five minute walk from hotel. Multiple bars within walking / few miles driving distance.

The rooms are typical Hyatt category 1, bathroom is a little too small. But the room at this location is clean with a good shower. The breakfast was best out of any other Hyatt category 1/2 locations, they even had Togo cups/bags which is awesome. The staff(front desk, breakfast cooks) were very helpful and friendly. Only negative I could think of is the parking spots which are little tight.

We LOVED our room here. It was so spacious and roomy, the hotel room and lobby were so clean and decorated beautifully for Christmas time. The bed was actually pretty comfortable for a hotel room bed. There's lots of available parking so no worries about parking even though you are right by Uptown. We felt safe and secure staying here. One night when we took our dogs out to potty before bed, we did see a sketchy person in the parking lot and informed the front desk. They called security right away which made us feel much better. We were told they have 24 hour security at this location which is a big plus for me, especially with staying in Albuquerque. We enjoyed the free breakfast our last day and it was great! Lots of options available and everything was satisfying. Bagels, danishes, toast, fruit, yogurt, eggs - they had all of the breakfast essentials. We ordered pizza to the hotel room one night and they neglected to give us plates and napkins so we asked the front desk and they were super accommodating and gave us everything we needed to enjoy our meal and be comfortable. This is a pet friendly hotel and I will say there aren't a whole lot of great areas for potty time. Would be great to see a little grass patch but we made due with the rocks and scrubs. Just be aware of this if your dog only likes grass. All in all we will definitely be staying here again when we come to visit. Thanks for the lovely stay!

I love this hotel chain. The Downtown Denver location was beautiful and the staff was kind and friendly. UPTOWN Albuquerque was totally different experience. It's verrrry small. Hallways, lobby, rooms are tiny. The double rooms have double beds- not queen. The entire layout feels very oppressively small. Denver location felt cool and fun and roomy. Albuquerque location was snippy and tiny and loud in the lobby. Totally different vibe. Staff is snippy and ill mannered. I will be more careful and spend more in the future; I just had such a positive experience with this brand before. I won't make that mistake again.

Room size is great but bathrooms are tiny. The elevator has been under repair for literally 4 years. There's two but super slow so ask for a low floor so stairs are an option. Breakfast was once included but now is only for rewards members. Location is the only reason one would stay here.

This was a very nice hotel at which to stay. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable and there was a bar area with a small fridge. The continental breakfast had a good selection of items and they kept it stocked. The hotel is within a short walking distance of some wonderful restaurants and great shopping. I highly recommend the Hyatt Place!

Very beautiful suite. My children enjoyed the space of the room. The outside pool is well maintained and the pool towels are fluffy and big. Sometimes they're like thin hand towels but not here. Breakfast was delicious, the pizza and snacks at the bar are fair priced and the pizza was TASTY. lovely helpful staff too. Excellent stay.

I want to send a huge kudos to Hector. Not only was he very professional he was also very sympathetic and accommodating. My booking dates were incorrect through a travel website and he went out of his way to make things right, even with limited availability. The hotel was great and so was my room. Thank you Hector.

Great experience, no complaints. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was actually pretty good too! And you're right across the street from an outdoor mall and a supercharger. If you're road tripping with a Tesla (like us) this is the best hotel in ABQ to stop at!

Definitely not "Hyatt" quality. Small, old, poor bathroom. Service...substandard. Attitude from the housekeeping staff when we asked about having room cleaned. Not one extra. Felt like Holiday Inn Express. No pad. Hyatt documents that said "any street, etc" and had never even dropped in their own location info before printing. Fridge turned off. No waters in room...I could go on. Point is I LOVE Hyatts, but we will not be staying here again. Nothing about it was great. Disappointed for sure.

To start with, I reserved a room that said it had a king size bed, but that was untrue. Rather, a Olympic Queen was in the room. Such bed is 66 x 80 whereas a king is 76 x 80. Therefore, not a king. Next, the website and customer service told me that I would be able to get roll away beds for my children, but that was untrue. Upon arriving, I was told that the hotel had no roll away beds or cots. I was also told that the sofa bed was ready to be used, but there were no extra pills, sheets or blankets in the room. I had to request these items and make the bed myself. House keeping then decided to take apart the bed instead of leaving it made, when they saw it was being used. I reserved the room for 2 adults and 2 kids, but yet, I was only provided with 3 towels. While I was given more towels, housekeeping kept only replacing the old towels with 3 news one, causing me to request towels every single day. I know that another family staying in a similar room was having the same problem, having to ask for extra towels daily. The air conditioning made a LOT of noise and it sounded like I was next to a truck whose engine was constantly roaring. The breakfast was inedible, and the coffee was just colored water. While there was a coffee bar where they could make lattes, espressos etc, there was no one ever working the counter. The one time I saw someone there, she said she was not sure, but could not make me anything as she believed that such drinks were an extra cost. The pool was the nicest part of the hotel and the location is great.

Clean, spacious rooms…front desk staffing was not very personable/welcoming… On our first night, transformer blew out and we were left with no power or AC. I know this is not the fault of the hotel but no one checked on any guests nor acknowledged the inconvenience to us as guests. Complimentary breakfast was removed at 9:00 am while my family and others were in the process of making their plates. Staff member told them she would not let them finish and she was pulling it down.

I have never stayed at this hotel before but it was overall a great stay! Property was nice and the room was good too! I got a suite and it was very roomy! Stayed for the breakfast. It was ok, your typical hotel continental breakfast. I didn't get to use the gym or pool, but I probably wouldn't have any complaints if I would of.

The frontdesk staff was exceptionally professional. Our room was large, clean and cool! The lobby smelled fresh and clean. We had a wonderful breakfast each day as well, always filled! We had a day where the towels at pool were all used, within 2 minutes of notifying they were replenished! Gilberto, Tanni and Desire, as well as the managers made our stay extra special! We Noticed several customers that were not very kind to the staff, and the staff never broke from being professional and kind to them. Highly recommend!
