I was a long term resident over the summer and I couldn't have had a nicer experience at El Cuervo! The owners are very kind, and it's the perfect distance from downtown and only a mile's walk to Old Town. Also, although crime can be notoriously bad in Albuquerque, during my 2 month's stay there wasn't one time where I didn't feel safe, even when I was getting back late at night (and I was a 19 year old girl at the time). I also parked my car out back and didn't have any problems. If you're staying in ABQ, there's no place with better charm, you've really got to stay here!!

Bradleigh and Stephanie could not have been more gracious or communicative hosts! House was adorable, cozy and clean. My sister and I stayed for two nights during the week and enjoyed the convenience of being downtown. We both got tied up with work during the check out time, and Brad was so accommodating — letting us loiter in the common space for hours after we cleared our room! 💎💎💎 Highly recommend staying at El Cuervo. Can’t wait to go back !

Great business with wonderful personnel. Friendly and very nice. Located right downtown, with in walking distance of the heart of Albuquerque. Our room was very cozy and warm. It was very spacious and like the rest of the property was clean and well cared for. The breakfast served each morning was very delicious. We would definitely book here again on our next trip through Albuquerque. Beautiful property!

Pros: relatively well priced, easy check in process, owners seem nice Cons: AC can’t keep up with the heat in the summer, not in a very safe part of town, bed was not super comfortable, and overall the place needs a bit of a remodel. I stayed in the 3rd floor room called “the attic” and frankly it felt like staying in an attic. During the day from noon-9pm the room would be between 85-88 degrees despite having the AC on high. I wouldn’t stay here again, but if you’re in a pinch and need a place I would 100% recommend asking for a 1st or 2nd floor room during the summer.

Cozy older home with a great location and atmosphere. Easy to get to wherever we needed and was surrounded by lots of places to eat that were all high rated on Google. The owners were really nice and helpful and left us a couple of local beers in the room fridge that inspired us to check out the local brewery nearby. Will definitely try to stay there again next time we visit Albuquerque.

This was one of the most uncomfortable and unprofessional travel experiences I've had. The room had the worst AC out of any building I went into in Albuquerque. The AC temperature got up to 89 degrees all the way until 9pm, making the room extremely uncomfortable to be in. The hosts messaged explained that the heat in the room was due to the heat wave in New Mexico, but no other building I went into, in all of Albuquerque was as hot as this "hotel". The room also had plenty of mosquitoes and overall was just a very uncomfortable experience. Lastly they promised to give me a partial refund because of how poor my stay was, but since I have left they have completely ignored all my attempts to contact them. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else if you want to stay with an honest host and somewhere that isn't 85-89 degrees inside.

It was a pre-Covid when I was invited to attend an event here. Although I was not a sleepover guest, I was introduced to the two ladies who owned the venue. They seemed nice enough but were constantly saying negative things to each other and about others where myself and other guests could hear. It brought down the whole event and several of us left early to get away from it. Perhaps it is different now but I was asked for details, so, that is why only 2 stars.

A Beautiful place, with beautiful purpose, run by beautiful people. Recently, I had the pleasure of staying at El Cuervo ABQ Guest Rooms along with several friends that were meeting me in Albuquerque for an event. I began looking at hotels and rentals when I discovered El Cuervo ABQ Guest Rooms. I reached out to the owners since their booking calendar was only unlocked so far in the future (which is typical for lots of places). They responded quickly to my inquiry about booking a room 6+ months in advance and made it possible. The communication was excellent between them and myself (as well as the others in my party). The home is on the Federal Historical Registry and was built in 1897. The room, bathroom and common areas were incredibly clean. There was a stocked coffee area and nice breakfast area. Our group utilized the breakfast area every morning and the front porch every night. It was amazing being able to have all of our party staying in the same home with these shared common areas. I stayed in the "I Love Mary Jane" room which had a balcony for those that love "Mary Jane" or perhaps a cigar. There was a queen bed with clean, crisp sheets, an A/C unit to keep the room cool in the hot ABQ summer, a smart TV that I could use to login to my various streaming accounts, but also there were plenty of "Free TV" options on it as well. There was a mini fridge in the room that had a few complimentary bottles of water and local beers. The bathroom had quality towels and a shower with fantastic water pressure. El Cuervo ABQ location is fantastic. It's a short walk or a very affordable rideshare to Old Town, (lots of restaurants, entertainment, and shopping), museums, the convention center, the ABQ BioPark, the crossroads of Route 66, etc. My friends and I occupied 5 of the 6 rooms over the span of a week – with some of our folks arriving later or leaving earlier, so we did the opportunity to meet others staying at the guest house during our stay. Everyone was very friendly in passing! All of us in my party were thrilled with the accommodations and if we found ourselves in Albuquerque/Santa Fe area again, we would absolutely reach out to Brad Leigh & Stephanie to stay here again! Brad Leigh & Stephanie - Thank you for making our trip to the southwest so much more enjoyable and memorable!

Stayed here while dropping my daughter off at university. Such a wonderfully peaceful place. Comfortable and very walkable to local restaurants and entertainment. I stayed in the Kings Parlor and enjoyed the facilities. I would have liked to hang out on the front porch more but with winter temperatures it was a brief opportunity. We will be back and I will definitely stay here again. No hesitation giving this place 5 stars. Thanks for a cathartic stay.

We stayed here for an anniversary get away, excellent choice!!! It was clean, homey, quiet, and had special touches everywhere. They let us check in 4hrs early which was a huge bonus . Our room was so clean and comfy and had a fireplace. We had a fire going the whole time, so cozy and romantic. We ordered a cheese plate and fruit with chocolate plate that were yummy. Breakfast was filling and delicious. We will definitely be staying here again!

I have my own standard of clean, and this place is clean! Amazing hospitality, coffee bar, mask and gloves available and free local beer to try! Hassle free check in and we felt very safe in the area. We’ll definitely come back.

We just got in and this place is awesome! Every part of this home is so cute! My girlfriend can’t stop smiling. We can’t wait to try the beer in the fridge! This is by far the funnest little spot we’ve ever stayed together.

This charming little home exceeded our expectations! We stayed in the lower floor, Kings Parlour (1B) August 2023, the room has full/private access door to the front porch seating area that is open to the entire home, our stay in August 2023 was amazing! Authentic and beautifully renovated historic home in ABQ NM, within an easy walk to a delicious brunch, friendly, safe-feeling neighborhood, very COMFORTBLE king sized bed, nice amenities in the bathroom with a nice sized shower, wonderful open front porch that looks out onto the neighborhood street, tasteful decorations throughout, lovely snack and coffee area downstairs with a plethora of items to choose from. Great communication from the hosts, this room and the surrounding area were perfect for our stay. Good directions given to locate the house with easy parking in the back of the home. We traveled as a couple, but I would feel safe staying at this home alone without my husband. Great bargain for the area of Albuquerque it is situated in, we highly recommend!

Great location right on the edge of downtown, I was in town for a conference and it was about a 10 min walk to the conference center. The owner / operators were on the ball and clearly wanted their guests to feel welcome . Rooms are spacious enough with comfortable furnishings making them a pleasant place to hang out and decompress. Very much enjoyed my stay and if I find myself back in Albuquerque, El Cuervo has been added to my short list of places to stay

This was my absolute favorite place we’ve stayed on our travels in recent years. Beautiful, super comfortable house in a gorgeous and very walkable neighborhood. It was quiet at night, the area felt really safe, and our bed was firm and comfy. The owners are thoughtful, caring hosts. I wouldn’t bring young kids simply because there are ample opportunities to break something in any old, ornate house like this. If you’re on a couple’s trip or traveling with a few chill friends, you’re going to love it here.

Wonderful place to stay, really great location, easy walk down to Center Ave, restaurants, bars, shops, farmers market, etc. The self check in procedure is easy and quick. Loved relaxing on the front patio in the evening. (Don't forget some bug spray, the mosquitos aren't terrible but they seemed to zero in on my legs and ankles)

I would like to say I really enjoyed staying in your house. It was awesome! I really enjoyed being able to relax outside and smoke a dubbie in the front patio. The Brothel room was awesome! My wife and I really enjoyed our time there. The beers and the joint token were also a nice touch. I would 100% stay there again. We will be staying there again in the near future. That was the best stay-cation we've had in town, and we've stayed at tons of spots here in ABQ. By far, this is the best spot!

  • 5/5 Kristi T. 5 months ago on Google
Fabulous overnight accommodations, we wish we could stay longer! The Brothel Room is absolutely unique & charming & endlessly comfortable! This was an amazing way to spend our 10yr wedding anniversary!! We will definitely be back for a longer stay!

I was supposed to stay here twice, first when i arrived in Albuquerque and unfortunately i had another booking through my agency for one night before i left ABQ. First time i had problems to check in, owners let me wait 2 hours until they picked up a phone. These nights, i stayed in a room on 3rd floor. It was extremely noisy cos of a generator which started after 7pm and went on the whole night. Also the pictures on the wall were fluorescent, so it was hard to sleep. For the second time i asked them in advance for check in infos via message on instagram. They first answered but then did not provide my requested Information. When i arrived on my date of arrival , nobody picked up the phone, nobody answered mails or messages on instagram. I did not hear from them at all! I can’t recommend this place at all, they must be totally indifferent towards their guests.

Had an excellent stay at El Cuervo! Conveniently located and Brad was a peach of a host :) Clean, comfortable and a real home away from home. Will come back the next time I’m in ABQ.

Artistic and inclusive. A very comfortable place to enjoy some time in Albuquerque

The house is an older house with solid wood trim and banister on the stairs, very beautiful. It was very quiet. The beers in the fridge were quite good as was the coffee in the morning downstairs, albeit from a Keurig. The room was nicely decorated and lovely artwork in our room.

Such a great experience. The bed and breakfast was really close to downtown which made the night life fun and enjoyable. Everything was stocked up, super clean, and the bed was comfy. Great amenities all around. I would definitely come here again when I'm back in town

Beautiful, Gorgeous historic home with charming surroundings. The warmth and kindness of hosts Leigh and Stephanie was heartfelt as soon as we walked in. Yummy muffins as we checked in and my husband enjoyed the brew! Our room was lovely, comfy bed and pillows and wingback chairs to watch TV. A very scrumptious breakfast (awesome breakfast burritos!) in the inviting sunny breakfast room. Everything was PERFECT!!! We could not have asked for a better experience. We only had a short walk to explore Old Town Albuquerque and so much enjoyed walking the historic neighborhood that Mauger Estate is a part of. This place is a true gem; a very special delightful home that we will always remember! This is the only place you ever need to stay at when visiting Albuquerque. We were so fortunate to have discovered our home away from home. If I could give a ton more stars I would. THANK YOU Leigh and Stephanie!!! And hugs to Neptune and Llilly!

Highly recommended this museum-like Airbnb!!! This is indeed a historic site and all the furniture pieces are arts! You will feel like living in a museum or an old house of a aristocratic family. On the other hand, the TV is big and fancy with all online streaming platforms installed, locks are advanced, everything is convenient. The hosts are also very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to downtown and old town. Really really fantastic experience here!
