Tried to book in advance and had the same experience as so many others on this thread, "call back day of" said the old lady!! Arrived to an empty parking lot, walked up to the window and asked if we could get a room. The old lady asked if I was a smoker, to which I said "no", as I am not. She asked if I was sure, because a lot of people say they don't smoke and then they go in the rooms and burn things. I assured her I didn't smoke. She asked several times if I was sure. Then she asked if my son, who was with me, was a smoker, I told her no. She said, "I need to hear it from him". She went on and on about smokers, I finally had to interrupt her and say "Mam, can we please get a room?" She nodded yes. Then she handed me the key and began yelling at me not to take the key with me when I left (as a huge breaking bad fan, it was tempting)... She was a true character. I didn't care about the condition of the place as I simply wanted to be able to say that I had stayed at the Crystal Palace. My only question is to Vince Gilligan... Dude... Why didn't you put this old lady in the show?

Crossroads Motel is a famous, budget friendly, lodging located in the heart of Albuquerque. It's in a solid location to venture anywhere quickly downtown. Crossroads has been featured in films, and probably most famously: Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul. I'm a big fan of the shows so along with that, plus location sold me on staying with Crossroads the both times Ive been to ABQ. The ower Vicki, and Guy are pleasant and respectful if you're pleasant to them. Vicki can be a little abrasive at first but if you dealt with some of the customers shes encountered you probably would be too. Then there's the gawkers who take pictures at their motel without introduction. (Looking at you fellow Breaking Bad fans) If you pull into the lot and want to take a picture I suggest going to the window and asking permission and introducing yourself. Its a motel after all before its a famous landmark. Be respectful of what she asks (such as not smoking in the rooms) and you will be met with warmth and hospitality. I got sick while I was out there and they were patient and flexible with me during my week long stay. I want to give a big shoutout to Guy for all the awesome conversations, and just being a genuinely standup dude. Thank you Guy! The day I departed you really made my day. Thank you for what you did. It meant alot. Finally, the motel isn't nearly as run down as the shows portray. I didn't see any hookers, and the lot was mostly clean. You get what you pay for with the price. Just the location, & history alone are worth a stay. Amenities are pretty sparse but once again the price is very reasonable. Be courteous future fans & customers, and you'll have a nice experience. Thank you Crossroads! P.S. Theres a conveniently placed hopsital across the street in the event you end up in any Breaking Bad type situations. 😂

couldn’t even get in: i called to see if there were rooms available and i was greeting by an older woman who began to yell at me telling me because i was a smoker that she would not put me in a non-smoking room because i wouldn’t get up and go outside to smoke. i told her that i was more than capable of not disrespecting the hotel and i could go outside to smoke. she then proceeded to hang up on me. i called back and said ‘i believe we got disconnected’ and she replied saying ‘no we didn’t, the conversation was over’. in my opinion this is not how you handle business and it was very rude. i understand the prices are low but the standards for employees are lower.

An Albuquerque icon, conveniently located on Central (Route 66) and I-25. It's across the street from Presbyterian Hospital, and downtown is no more than half a mile away. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and includes a mini fridge and microwave. A/C and heating is good. The bathroom has a full tub/shower with a sliding door. The hotel is very reasonably priced, and I have personally found it to be the best value motel in Albuquerque. This is my go-to place to stay in the Duke City.

This place is disgusting, that old wicked woman, she's very disrespectful, she always yelling, watching, the service is awful, no wonder no one really comes here,$70 dollars, almost no heat, rooms smell,it's better and cheaper and comes with breakfast, security is 2 minutes a walk away, rooms clean too...MOTEL 6 SO SAVE YOURSELVES HEADACHES, it's also dusty, and noisy because construction on the sidewalk, rooms dark, and so what that they filmed here

People who rent here aren't allowed to have any kind of visitors, not even your own mother. There's cable but no movie channels like HBO. The window in the room I was in was replaced with plywood to hold an air conditioner. The ice machine was being controlled by one of the managers to where I only got enough ice for one beverage. The swimming pool needs to be fixed and cleaned, it's nasty. The lady was very nice though. Very affordable prices.

Miserable lady answered the phone. Curt and rude. I wanted to know if there is a room available tomorrow night; she said she didn’t know until tomorrow and almost hung up on me. I had to ask how to have a room, then she claimed that I had to call back the next day afternoon and just about hung up on me.

Very basic motel with small rooms but there is always availability here because it is never too busy. It is kind of infamous though because it was featured on a couple of episodes of the HBO series called Breaking Bad. It is right next to the I-25 freeway and right on Central Street so it has a very good location.
