I can highly recommend this as a great place to go to enjoy some locally brewed beers as well as some quite tasty food. We split an order of queso and chips and a French dip sandwich. The queso had a rich and spicy flavor, perfectly complementing the tortilla chips. The French dip was very good indeed- with a generous amount of nicely seasoned meat and a tasty au jus. I will definitely come back just to enjoy the French dip again. We also enjoyed a few of their brewed beers- a honey wheat as well as cream ale called the “new kid”. Both were refreshing and easy to drink. All in all, this is a wonderful place to enjoy a few micro brews and has the great bonus of offering some tasty food.

Ok, so I like beer. I was raised with beer, seriously my brothers and I would drink dad's beer all the time. This place has great beer, and the beer had fun names. I had a scooby snack, and a dad's joke, by the way they came with a dad joke as a bonus, (Dad jokes are the highest form of humor, I'll fight you on this). So great beer, great people, oh yeah, the venue. It's like a Spanish church, a cathedral dedicated to beer. Go, drink, be happy.

I used to be a big fan of Hops, as my friends and I went weekly to go to the bar trivia in Nob hill for years. But unfortunately the Nob Hill location closed just before covid. Never felt quite at home in the north valley, as it didn’t have the charm like Nob hill. Smaller food selection, no dessert, and about half the drink selection. But after a couple years North Valley bought Geeks Who Drink back. My friends and I decided it was worth a shot again, and decided to start going. It was still fun, we made it work, but once again, Hops pulled the rug out from under us by cancelling Geeks. It was pretty depressing because the first week after cancellation, the bar was dead, which seemed pretty counterintuitive to the reasoning for cancelling it. We always ordered a lot and we were generous and friendly with the staff. But trivia is our staple, and we’ve had to move on. I’m sorry, but personally I think management has been taking Hops in a wrong direction for a while now, and I just don’t see myself returning. I wish y’all luck in the future.

While the beer is good, I believe that the owner/s must have a cardiologist in the family since the food is about as grease laced as it can be. Cold sandwiches, soup, pizza, etc. are NOT to be found on the menu. As for the chips/salsa…salsa is good; the chips are mediocre at best. Quite noisy, even when there’s hardly any crowd there. Outside area with picnic tables and a few regular (plastic) tables is not bad. There are other places that have much better menus. ALSO…they don’t pour a full pint. As you can see in the photo below. You get maybe 12oz and pay for a pint. Unfortunately, many of the brewpubs in Albuquerque do this. Less beer for us; more money for them. Still not pouring a full pint. Add on to my review…they still don’t pour a pint!!!!!!!

We really enjoyed having some beers on the beautiful, spacious patio. Our group of 4 had 5 different beers and everyone really liked all of them. Pretty sure you can't go wrong with any of their selections. The service was attentive and friendly-really top-notch. The brisket nachos are amazing and there were lots of other yummy looking foods on the menu. We'll be back for sure.

Our first time in. Very clean and open area with two patios. Bar was wide and the stools are comfortable, Necessary when your old. Found a beer I liked, Hop Hill, they said it was the best seller and it was lightly hoppy with honey under tones. Very drinkable. My girlfriend had the Tipsy Cow a stout that needed something more to it like chocolate or coffee. Still a nice beer. Food, all we had was the chips and salsa. The chips were normal corn tortilla chips and the salsa was more of a Pace picante sauce. If the chips were warm, it would have elevated the item. Service, it was good. Better than the big places for sure. Each person behind the bar treated and talked to us. We had to ask for napkins a couple if times. When the chips were delivered, the guy just heavy handed dropped them in the counter. All in all a good experience for our first time and we'll be back with friends to check it out again.

Very nice staff, food was fast and decent. Not high cuisine, but more in the vein of having good food to eat as you're sitting with friends all afternoon. My cheese steak was great, and my wife had a hotdog that was too spicy for her. We switched and it was fine. We sat outside, and the patio was very pleasant. We didn't even know they had a little dog run with seating. We'll definitely bring the pooch and come back sometime. Only negatives were they were out of stock on my first choice of beer which can certainly happen. Also, I don't know if this is usual behavior here, but a few people were leaving the brewery on motorcycles and spent a good five minutes stationary revving them incredibly loudly. It definitely put a damper on the experience, especially with seating just a few feet away. We've only been here once, but something to be aware of.

The pastrami Ruben is fantastic. Service was great. The owner came by himself to make sure everything was satisfactory. The beer was ok, everything else put together qualifies for a 5 star review.

Great outdoor space, great beer selection, friendly staff. The food is terrible. We have eaten there three times, and had stale tortilla chips each time. The food tastes and looks like cafeteria food- chewy burger meat, no flavor, wilted lettuce, stale buns, dispensable nacho cheese. We have been super disappointed each time we have eaten there. It’s a great neighborhood location and we’d be there all the time if the food was better (or if we could bring our own food).

They have great beer and are super dog friendly. I love the dog menu and dog park where the pups can play while you relax and have a nice cold brew! We will definitely be back a lot!

I love this place! I also love Stacey and Karina! I’m going to make this my new hang out. I love the atmosphere and where I can bring my doggies!

The atmosphere is great. However, the food is very very low cheap quality. The burgers have to be some kind of fake meat cause they basically have a cardboard texture. The service started out ok but took a turn for the worst. We had to get up and ask for water plus our ticket when there was only about 20 people in the entire place. Overall a decent place for a drink but do NOT recommend eating there.

Good spot, good beer. Staff is hit or miss when we went, though. The waitress we started with was inconsistent and it wasn't till we had another waitress bus our table that we were able to get service. The one that helped in the end was good. Would come back again

We went to hops on 9/14/2022 and the experience there was excellent. Hops Brewery is in a renovated church with Thunderbird plates attached to the wooden interior columns. They offer a rotation of guest beers/ciders from local breweries atop their own offerings. Their Cerveza has a light taste as expected yet packs a welcomed punch on the backside. Their Green Chile Burger and B-B-Q Quesadilla is excellent. The brisket was tender and lean. The burger grilled exactly to my perference. The burger was large enough for me to request a knife and fork. I enjoyed their salsa that is included in the quesadilla, the tortilla chips are flavorful and have a crunch that was highly enjoyable. Sierra knowledgeable and enjoyable. I apologize for not remembering the name of the other lady yet I know her name started with the letter "L" (my apologies for forgetting). They both were prompt and accommodating including answering any question we had asked. Thank you to all the staff at Hops Brewery for giving us an excellent experience. Your business has a charming feel, atmosphere, and interior design. We will return the next time we are in Los Ranchos.

Very good beer and food. The nachos and the turkey sandwich are both worth trying. If you like wheat beers, the Honey Wheat is light and tasty!

Absolutely fantastic place! I whiled away the hours on their sunny patio one afternoon, couldn’t of enjoyed myself more. Tried four different beers, all fantastic. Staff are so friendly and attentive, excellent service. The brewer was also there and is really friendly and knowledgeable - helped me choose my first couple of beers. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic ambience, tasty brews, and attentive staff. Stopped by with friends late Sunday evening (11/7) - Connor and the crew there took great care of our small group, made sure to get our order in before the kitchen closed, kept our glasses filled, provided all the answers to our questions, and did it all 100% with a smile as we closed the place down. Great times. Love the place and the staff!

My husband and I have been here a few times and the beer is always cold, the food is always good (chips and quac, BBQ quesadillas (good for a hangover!!), Tomas sandwich) and the people are so friendly and helpful when it comes to trying beers. I okie definitely put this on my list of places for out of towners to try out! (I forgot to picture of food on this last trip, but will next time!!)

Cool staff, First beer (hop hill) was no bueno, had a metal taste. Second beer (mass ascension) was good. Humus plate was shockingly fantastic, like really really good. Buttered/fried bread was 10/10 and bell peppers were great too. Waitress recommended Pub Philly but add green chili and Au Jus. It was spicy in the right ways and mellow in the right ways. Cool spot. Felt kind of weird for one of the staff to be wearing a thin blue line aka blue lives matter flag hoodie, but not the end of the world, just made me a bit uncomfortable.

😐 I was disappointed on our second visit. They ran out of filet mignon on a Friday night and offered us a NY strip instead. Unfortunately, we had to send it back because it was not tasty and hard to chew. It was my husband's birthday and I did inform them ahead of time but nothing special was done for...
