Food and beer were delicious, well portioned, and fairly priced. Highly recommend! We ate there for lunch and liked it so much we went back for dinner with a group later the same day. I got the half-portion of the fish and chips and it was filling. My wife ordered the nachos and subbed the chicken and the bartender recommended the queso instead of beer cheese to avoid gluten. It was delicious and HUGE. We could barely finish half of it. The atmosphere was great and the bartenders were friendly, helpful, and chatty which enhanced the experience ever more. We like to say that there's no bad food in pubs, but Patrick Oshea's is a step up even from that. Next time I'm in Louisville this will be a repeat stop for meals and drinks.

Friendly staff, quick service, and and absolutely AMAZING prime rib sandwich. The cheese balls are delicious also. Come in order at the counter and seat yourself. Plenty of beers to choose from and off course it’s Louisville so lots of bourbon as well. The owner struck up a conversation with me just like I was a regular and the bartenders were very friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough. I’ll come back here every time I visit Louisville.

Open until 2am on the weekends, great selection of bar food after 11pm, THE BEST Bloody Mary you will ever have! They infuse their vodka with onions, garlic, and horseradish and include fan favorites in the mix (steak sauce, Worcestershire, and Guinness). Amazing staff! Will definitely go back! Pepperoni pizza, fried green tomatoes, and chili nachos - highly recommend all.

Stopped in for a quick snack and a drink. I had the French fries and an old fashioned - both were excellent. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Louisville.

We came here during an ice storm when there were few customers. The staff was still on board and did a great job. The food was hearty and excellent! The chili is homemade and very good. The wings, grilled with a dry rub and sauces on the side were fantastic. Good size and juicy without being overly large. I had the Reuben with a side of Brussel Sprouts and loved every bite. My wife had the grilled salmon (sub chicken) salad and was happy with it (although heavy on the spinach leaves). I bet this place is a blast when it's crowded! I'd recommend coming here.

Great place to sit back and drink a few or to grab a great lunch or dinner. The fish and chips are awesome and as usual they have Guiness on tap…

We were driving from IL for our annual Bourbon Trail weekend, and found ourselves behind on time for our 1:00 tour at Old Forester. We called the restaurant and asked if they would be willing to take our order over the phone to ensure our lunch would be ready and we could enjoy a cocktail or two prior to our tour. They gladly obliged and took a 9-person order over the phone! When we arrived, they had our table ready, our food was coming out of the kitchen piping hot, and they were quick to pour our first drinks! We could not believe the service from the staff and were humbled with their hospitality. The Turkey Avocado Club was amazing!! Our group raved about the wings and the cheese balls! If you are looking for a great pub for a meal and a beer, look no further and stop on in for a visit!

Very cozy bar with a wide variety of drinks and delicious food. Fish and fries are awesome. Fish is fried with a very thin coat, so I didn’t feel tasting the flour at all, but only the fish; it’s awesome. I substituted fries with Brussel Sprouts, it is delicious! Homemade tartar sauce is amazing. Wings are also good. The fact that they do not serve celery and carrot sticks with wings but thin sliced celery and carrot is interesting. Server is attentive and extremely friendly.

It's interesting. They keep on playing Irish music and the music gets more and more intense as the night becomes dark. We visited during the Louisville Burger Week. For the starter we ordered Cheese Bits. It was really good. For the main course we went with the typical burgers. The burger patty that we ordered were juicy inside and crispy outside. It comes with Pickled jalapenos, lettuce and Tomatoes. Pretty balanced burger. As a dessert we ordered Bourbon flavored Bread Pudding. I was pretty disappointed with the Bread Pudding. We drank Bourbon Barrel Stout Beer which is probably the best buy for us. Overall, a very happening place. As they keep it open past midnight on weekdays (except maybe Monday), it's a great place for midnight cravings. Edit: The taste of cheese bits has changed. I had a pat's burger tonight. It's good. But I think the burger without the bacon would have been much better. The crispy onions on the burger were perfect.

The Penthouse and Rooftop Garden venue at the Patrick O'Shea downtown Louisville location is a great wedding venue. I loved rustic and modern mix of the atmosphere. The rooftop gave us superb natural light and so did the floor to ceiling windows in the loft. I would recommend to anyone needing a great party space.

My boyfriend and I stumbled in, they were the only place open late for for food. Let’s say we can right back the following night. The food was amazing !!! The wings and fried tomatoes were my favorite!! My boyfriend loved the truffles fries. The food isn’t the best part though!! Kevin was our server and he is THE BEST!!!! He made me one of the best sangrias on the spot !! He’s a very skilled bartender!!! His personality is so welcoming and refreshing! I’d go back just for him!! Do yourself a favor and go see Kevin for one of his sangrias and great conversation!! Wonderful experience!!

Way cool building! Four stories! The cellar is like a "Speak Easy", and there's a bar, too, on the top floor! The fish is great! The service is really good too! Please go!

Pretty skeezy neighborhood. On a Sunday night, they were the only restaurant with staff to offer service. Food was standard pub fare. Not great, not horrible. We got a couple fish and chips, a pseudo shepherd's pie, and a couple starters. Beers were good. Friendly people.

Food, atmosphere, and drinks are all fantastic, I don’t think the ordering process is super efficient but wasn’t bad. Really the only reason they get a four star instead of five is because everyone in there was in their own world favoring the regulars. Just not warm not welcoming. Our server if you can call it that because they really just bring food out to you. You get your own drinks and you go up and order your food from the register. The server could have made a very healthy tip because we had almost to 20 person party and the people paying are generous. I still recommend a visit for the food and beverages✅

In town for a few days from Chicago. Stopped in two nights for dinner and drinks. Had the Fish and Chips and then the Shepherds Pie. Both really good. Bartenders make good cocktails. The really outstanding thing about this place is the staff. Professional, knowledgeable, courteous, quick, friendly and kind. They know their business and clearly enjoy doing it. I’ve been in a lot of bars in a lot of places. This one is absolutely top notch! Owners/management should be very proud of their staff. Really wish we had a place this good in Chi-town. Well done, lads.

Looks and feels exactly how you think and Irish pub would. Service was over the top excellent. Had the shepherd's pie, and it was perfect. Absolutely 100% recommend if you are in downtown Louisville.

Your go-to Irish pub amidst the distilleries. The food is exactly what you expect with noteworthy sauces. Good for refueling between bourbons!

We were in town for a competition and needed a place all 27 of us could fit comfortably. I called early in the afternoon to see if reservations were possible for a Sunday night at 9:00 and they said that wouldn’t be a problem. I got there a little early just to make sure we could be accommodated and they already had our section reserved for us. For it to have been so crowded the food came out fast and the service was amazing. Shout out to Chip for being especially patient and awesome with us. I will definitely return when I’m in Louisville again.

My shrimp and grits was very good, however my wife's shepherd pie was phenomenal. I will have that on my next visit. We had a couple of the old fashion variant cocktails and those were also tasty. Service was friendly, prompt and professional. Finally the basement vibe is very cool causing us to stay for a few extra post dinner drinks. I highly recommend it.

Best ever pub foods! Friendly staff members and wide range of bourbon selection. Personally prefer this pub to Barstown Rd. 3 Irish pubs although i also love those 3 of them.

I was headed to another restaurant but it was closed so I stumbled upon this spot; late night. My boyfriend and I ordered the wings and fried pickles and we were not disappointed. The wings had so much flavor and the sauces you could pick from made them even better. I recommend the ghost pepper ranch, old forester bbq and their plain ranch. To top it off, the bartender was courteous and warm. I love to stumble across hidden gems. We’ll definitely be back!
