Great place to eat n try whiskeys. Plus it's dog friendly. The BBB Burger was amazing, wife loved the Torte and the Carrot Cake is huge! So moist and delicious, it's perfectly balanced in flavor, might be better for two to share haha

I typically get the seafood burger and sweet potato fries here. The portions are solid and the flavors are exciting enough to keep my taste buds happy. Recently they added a breading to the patty which helps to keep those chunks of crab, shrimp, and lobster together. Smart move! Every order has been full of fresh ingredients from asparagus to smoked pineapple sauce. The staff has always been helpful. We have only used take out.

Here or over there at the downtown location. You'll get the same great experience and handcrafted food quality. This place isn't your local McDonald's burger experience folks. It's a gourmet one that's setting the standard on how any burger should be made and presented. Meat not your thing?   Well atleast come out to try the solid tuffle fries and hand made sauce that pairs perfectly with it to give you a solid reason to consume a few carbs.

Had the Argentinian burger; I was intrigued by the ingredients (anything with chorizo and chimichurri will do that for me) and this melding of flavors did not disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised also by the fact that I got a burger patty with a smaller chorizo patty on top-the menu description made it sound like it was going to be an all-chorizo burger. A happy surprise, but one that was confusing in its wording. Also had the Truffle Steak Fries. You only get 3 of them, but they are HUGE! Perfectly crisp on the outside, and tender and flaky on the inside. I was very impressed by the presentation. Impressive spirts and beer selection as well, with a modern vibe in a shared building. I'll be back to try more of their offerings, and I definitely recommend!

This place is always good and never disappoints. The burgers are excellent with many options to choose from and interesting taste combinations. This time I opted for the Philly sandwich and it was really good. The short rib grilled cheese is worth trying as well. If you’re in the mood for a burger then get yourself here ASAP.

Excellent burgers! Mussel dishes are excellent, as well! Favorite appetizer is the bacon wrapped dates. I've never had a bad meal or experience when dining there.

From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by the hostess which happened to be our server. I didn’t catch her name but she had a strong accent and was extremely friendly. She did a wonderful job as a server. Now for the food I got the Local burger and it was wonderful, very flavorful and nice juicy and thick burger.

we had a great experience here. despite them being short staffed, they still provided great service and delicious food. we ordered the mussels as an appetizer, they had an Asian flare but I do not recall the name. different, but delicious! the burgers that were ordered were also a hit. the turkey club was huuuge. if you are in the area, give them a try. based on our experience you will not be disappointed

The salad was good. I asked for a medium rare burger and got one that was very rare. It wasn’t bad, but not a good value. There are better burgers for less.

Why have I never reviewed this place? It is one of my favorite restaurants in the state if not the nation. The atmosphere is perfect, casual, and private with the booth options actually separated completely from each other. The food never fails to amaze whether it is the Mussels, Burgers or the other not name sake items. I of course defaulted to the Club and it was amazing, my photos of it as presented did not capture the sheer size and amount of meat on it. I was worried it would be too much bread with the Texas Toast, but it worked out well and the TT held up to the sandwich well. The fried green tomatoes on the Southern Belle as almost as good as the ones I make at home. The sides and appetizers were fresh and original and paired well with the sandwiches. Our server, who appeared to be doubling as the bartender was on his game perfectly communicating our special requests well and ensuring we had great food.

Had a group of 20 people here for an event. The service was great, appetizer buffet was delicious. Highly suggest this place. Everyone loved it. Just realize there are two locations, one here and one downtown, this one takes reservations - the other does not. Don't be me and think you have a reservation at the downtown location 🤣

I expected a quick in and out but was captivated by the unique selection of Burgers and the Manager. Irresistibly knowledgeable and pleasant. An experience well worth having. ( I messed with it before photo. =)

Good experience overall. It's a nice private place to have a talk while enjoying good food. Had the mushroom burger and the Spanish one

I had the bacon wrapped dates as my appetizer. The flavor was marginal and the number of servings were few. Both overrated and overpriced. My burger was undercooked, almost raw. And the fries were overcooked. They were actually amongst burnt. The food was meh but the service was good.

Mediterranean burger was delicious! Plus the Mac and Cheese starter had deep fried cheese curds on top. Steak fries were comically large but the truffle fries do not have any parm cheese on them, just oil.

This was my fiancee's choice of lunch today and Good Lord I'm glad she got me here cause the food is amazing. We had a short rib nacho for appetizer with strawberry lemonade and sprite which came out in mason jars which is a southern twist which I love (Chicago by way of Mississippi) for our entree we both of course got one of the signature burgers which both were seated well on a pretzel bun. I got the Bacon Cheese Burger and she had a Classic Cheese Burger which was not small at all so if u have a small mouth you might want to cut it up. All I can say is if you think Culver's is good this will have you looking at it like it was McDonald and Mussel and Burger Bar is Top Chef Greatness. The service was excellent and the environment was clean cheerful and laid back with nice window lighting and soft booth seating and regular chairs were also comfy. All in all we found a new spot to eat and if you want good burgers try it, I promise you will have a new spot as well. Good Job #kentuckygem

A late lunch at the Taylorsville spot. Entrée sized mussels meuniere (sp?) with an added spicy kick. Plump, meaty mussels in a butter, garlic, wine and spicy broth. 😋 Paired with an expertly mixed Aperol Spritz (sweet sunset in a glass 🍹) or two 😉 it was sublime. 👍🏾 Thanks Hunter, Head Bartender, you rock!!! 😎

This was a delicious burger spot! The burgers were plenty big enough and the best burgers I've had around louisville so far. The staff was super nice.

Excellent experience. The grilled shrimp tacos were phenomenal. Our server was as good as I've had. Next time I'm in Louisville, I'll definitely be back!

We were visiting in Kentucky and this is our favorite place every time we have been there. We have been several different times in different locations. Their mussels are so good a great assortment of different types to choose from. I love their salads also. The Fig salad was fresh and refreshing. The burgers are absolutely amazing, if you’re a burger fan.

Very disappointed. Left Mussel & Burger Bar with massive headache and stomach cramps (I did not drink alcohol). When arriving, I was upbeat and well; looking forward treating myself to a meal. Chèvre Fig Salad was outstanding. Seafood sliders are a must try, you will enjoy. Argentinian Burger came with truffle fries and aioli (which were drenched in oil and not properly drained). ***Looks like someone got hungry and bit one of truffle fries. Left all on plate, did not eat truffle fries. ***Watch video of oil on truffle fries, and bitten one. I denied a second order offered, since food should of been properly prepared first go around. There was barely no one there in restaurant. I had couple bites of Seafood Burger; tasty. Discontent, I left with massive headache, stomach cramping, and shifted emotions. That only arose from food and water I had there. Hope I was not exposed to COVID. Since I am in tractor working and don’t have a house I shower or cook in day-to-day, this meal was special to me.

Really enjoyed this spot. The staff was very friendly and they have a great selection of food ranging from burgers to Mexican corn to mussels. I had the Italian burger with balsamic peppers. Everything was delicious.

Great choice for dinner, if you like mussels and … burger. For non-meat eaters - few choices: seafood (delicious) and veggie burger. Mussels choices as appetizer or entree. Loved large potatoes served with burgers. Many choices of local ales, lagers and other adult drinks.

Just excellent! Stopped here on a trip and can't wait to make my way back from Chicago just to stop again. Had the CHÈVRE FIG SALAD and MUSSELS MEUNIÈRE and I'm having withdrawals just thinking about it! From the interesting menu, to the quality of the food, to the presentation - it's all top notch and I absolutely recommend this gem!

The absolute best burger I've ever had (and I've had my fair share across the world). Ground and made by hand daily in house from a blend of sirloin, brisket and ground beef. I still have dreams about this burger. The kids love the mussels but I can't pass up the burger. Nothing else needed.

The food was amazing and the drinks were good. My husband prefers draft beer and they only offer cans/bottles. It is a little more on the expensive side, but worth it.
