Walked in here around 1pm and was able to get a bar seat with an awesome bartenders who knew his bourbon! The double double woodford is a must! Their burgers are also next level. I ordered the sidebar burger and it was super fresh and delicious. So good I had to come back for seconds! It’s also right next to the Old Forrester Distillery which makes it a perfect stop before your tour.

Food was amazing! Possibly the best burger both of us have had! Good drinks also. Waiter was very attentive. All in all great experience. Had the Beer cheese, The Gavel, The Ambulance Chaser, Cherry mule, and Kentucky Maid.

We felt very welcome from just entering the building, the waitress was phenomenal and took care of us very well. The bloody Mary's here are amazing. We got the death penalty burger and Cajun fries and I have to say this is in my top burger choices, absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The guilty shake was very good as well. This is definitely a must when in Louisville.

One of the few downtown Louisville restaurants I could find with gluten free options. The slaw and burger were AMAZING! My gluten-eating husband enjoyed his burger as well! Service was top notch; everyone was so pleasant and was working very hard. I highly recommend!

Amazing food and drinks! The server was pleasant, welcoming and attentive. I ordered the "Gavel" and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. It was messy to eat as all good burgers usually are. The truffle fries were a little hard, but still tasty. Their beer cheese is the BEST I've had along with their pretzel breadstick. Had a really good experience and would definitely come back to try more off their menu.

Loved everything about this place. The burgers were excellent! Even the plain fries we said were some of the best we've ever had. The bartender (Coby) was TALENTED with his craft. He made a mean old fashioned, and I had the most unique and delicious bloody Mary ever - made with whiskey. It was so good, I had to get two and I'll be craving those for the rest of my life. My husband enjoyed a guilty bourbon milkshake and loved it. The service from the whole staff was top notch! Only thing that possibly would have made it even better was vegan ice cream (can't eat diary) for the guilty milkshakes - that would have put me in heaven ☺️

Great courthouse theme and relaxed atmosphere. Had the ambulance chaser and the jail bird. The egg was missing off one of the jail bird, which only has 3 ingredients lol. Both patties seemed slightly undercooked and lacked some seasoning. We like our burgers to be medium, but these had some slightly medium rare spots. A little more pink than would normally be comfortable. Overall friendly staff. Had a peach bourbon mimosa and strawberry lemonade. Chili cheese and Cajun fries were both really good. Still crispy even after eating the burgers. Definitely downtown/brunch pricing but worth a shot!

Excellent burgers, friendly staff, and a great "upscale" sports bar environment with a courthouse theme. Conveniently located "around the corner" from Whiskey Row, this place offers an excellent selection of bourbons from bottom to top shelf. They have a range of starters and burgers to choose from and a decent beer selection; mostly in bottles. Highly recommended!

Go here!!! You won’t regret it. I’m not a burger eater so it took me a few years to finally visit Sidebar. Omg the salads are INCREDIBLE and the drink selection looks amazing. We came here before a concert at the YUM center (it’s literally about 50 feet from the side door entrance) and enjoyed amazing salads. Can’t wait to return for drinks and dinner next time. Amazing service and a super fun ambiance. If you’re downtown and looking for food and fun, this is your place for sure.

Best burger I've had in years! Fries were equally awesome. Courtney is top notch at her game. Loved this place.

In town on business and decided to try a nice burger spot. I haven't had a fried bologna sandwich since high school so thought I would give it a try. Great flavor and the beer cheese sauce was great on it. Fries were hot and crispy as well. I decided to treat myself to dessert and the red velvet milkshake was pretty damn good as well. Great spot to recommend!

This unassuming place has fantastic burgers! The blend of meats they use in them are great and the selection of options is very good. The fries were great and the chili is homemade. This place has a "judicial" or "legal" theme because the building used to be owned by a judge. All if the entrees are named after some legal concept. It turns out that the judge was also a magician. If you go out the back door and take the elevator up (2R), it opens onto a long hallway containing magician show posters featuring the Judge. Very good place for bar fare and solid dinners.

Best burgers I've ever had in my life. Judges Chambers is LIFE. I was swayed for the special today however - still great. I love bringing new people here.

Visited for the first time 9/25/23. Busy place, but we were able to snag a table for 3 quickly. Waiter and GM were amazing...sassy, funny and 100% professional taking care of guests in a timely manner despite how busy they were. A refreshing place to stop for a beverage (mixed drinks and taps were all delicious), appetizers and great burgers (they have other options). Not a deep menu, but everything we had was on point for temperature, flavor and portion size. Desserts looked great too, but we didn't leave room. Did I mention how awesome the staff is??!! Its a must return for my next visit.

Great experience. Fun atmosphere. I was eating as part of a business meeting, but this was right before a Louisville basketball game and the place was packed. Good food.

This place gets busy fast, and with good reason. That said, if you're able to get a table, you'll be greeted by an extensive bourbon selection that is presided over by bartenders that know their craft. Tell them a bit about what you like (or don't) and your price point, and they'll be able to recommend whiskeys that are likeliest to match your tastes. On top of all that, the burgers are excellent. The Jailbird, for example, can come with a runny egg that soaks into the patty and the bun, giving both a phenomenal flavor. I strongly recommend both the food and the drinks and plan to return when I'm back in town.

Was in town for a guys trip and found this bar down the street from our hotel and glad we did! They have a great selection of bourbon and whiskey and even better staff. The type of service we got is the kind that will bring us back on our next trip to Louisville!

Went with office group and had some good time here. Our waiter Ryan was very friendly and courteous. He took everyone’s order with patience and made sure it was all correct with the swap we asked for. Beef to chicken. Burgers were good but price wise I think it is little overpriced and not sides . Overall it’s a good place to try and hangout . Ambience was nice

Fun location near the Galt House hotel. Quick service and great food and drinks. The server was always there when you needed him. The pretzels and chips were amazing and the portion size was huge! The burger was great and cooked very well. Best seasoned fries I've ever had because not only was the taste great but they were cooked so well. Very crispy fries all around while being soft inside. Never a squishy fry.

Decided to try out this restaurant/bar downtown. First and foremost, the atmosphere is like a speakeasy that meets modern style. It's really cozy. Could see having any 21+ get-together there. Second, the staff, is amazing. Everyone was on top of it. Super nice, and attentive. 11 out of 10. Lastly, the drinks and food... this bar has a really good selection of alcohol. I'd be surprised if someone can't find at least one drink they liked. As for the food. It was good but a little pricey. I feel like it was something I could get somewhere else for cheaper. Our appetizer was really good though. Worth it. Overall, it's a great place to grab a drink with a date or friends. It has tvs to watch the games. Great place for conversations and being social. Sidenote: parking can be a bit tricky. We just used the parking garage nearby.

This place is a little gem. The food was magnificent!! I love the Mac and cheese balls !! And the salads are out of this world !!! Every time I’ve gone, I’d gotten a great server they’re prompt and friendly. If your a bourbon drinker you definitely want to stop in and ask about the varieties they have. This place can’t go wrong.

This is such a cute, funky little place. It's a mash up of different vibes and we loved it for that reason! You get some industrial feel from the exposed ceilings. A romantic, soft feel from the lighting. A vintage feel from the tall ceilings. And I haven't even talked about the food. The seafood fondue was AMAZING and so worth the price. We each had a burger and fries as well and they were delicious too! Our server was also incredible, so nice, and had great suggestions/commentary about the food options. This is now on our list of regular rotations!

Stopped in for a whiskey flight and mixed drinks. The waiter was very nice and helpful. He eagerly replaced a drink for us that was not made as requested. The bar ambiance was exactly as expected: dark, cozy, and well used bar furniture. Not a glamor bar.

Ii tried the Alternate Juror. I must admit I was a little apprehensive about it bologna sandwich when I first read it, but this was anything but a normal bologna sandwich. It reminded me more a kin to a roast beef sandwich actually. I was impressed with its unique flavor and topping it with beer cheese finishes the sandwich nicely. I also highly recommend a bourbon flight and the pimento fritters. Good food, good drinks and good atmosphere.

Food and drinks were great. Our server was excellent. It was very busy for 7pm on Saturday night, but the food and drink didn’t take long at all.

Came from out of town. I loved the theme and decor. Friends and I took lots of pics. The staff was nice. Unfortunately, we weren't happy with the food. It was hot and fresh. But bland. Lacked flavor. I had a Philly cheesesteak and the meat obviously wasn't seasoned properly
