Great beer and great service. The restaurant is clean and has a great vibe to it. The food is not that great. It's good and does fill you up but it could be better. I had the nachos and they were good but they were missing one key ingredient and that is cheese. The nachos here have no cheese which is fine but they need to be better than what they serve if they are going to change what nachos are.

I would have totally given this place five stars if it were not for the individual with the blue hair that seated us. They were just not friendly and we wanted to sit in a booth, of which there were at least 4, which had good lighting to see the menu. They just really snippety said "we try to save those for larger parties". It was 9 PM and the kitchen closed at 10 PM and we were basically the only people in the bottom area wanting to be seated? Anyway, rudeness just puts a bad taste in your mouth regardless of all other factors. The appetizer was good and the adult beverages were tasty. The service just needs some polishing. Without "customers" there is no reason to employ you....

Haven’t been here in over a year and it was still good. Only down fall is they don’t have the amazing skinny fries like they used to. Other than that the fish and raspberry Meade was great!

The food was perfect, the drinks were awesome. We had dinner salads, shared a hot brown, and the derby pie. Salads were very large/had bacon and that’s always a plus. The derby pie was warm and served with cold ice cream and everything I could ever dream of in a dessert. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. 4/5 for atmosphere because it is poorly lit in some areas, asked to move to a more well lit table and staff gladly allowed us to do so.

Good beer and friendly service. Great bourbon menu! Serving cocktails and wine as well. Just enough beers, but not too many that it's overdone.

Waitress was friendly and helpful. The beer is average at best and not my favorite. The spinach artichoke dip wasn't very good . Bland and looked grey . Get the wings with the dry rub seasoning they were excellent.

A cool spot for a beer. I don’t think I would eat here but it gets the job done if you are waiting for a dinner reservation down the street. They have fun games. The beer is ok. Nothing really special about it.

I didn't have any food, but I drank several beers, which were delicious. I sat at the bar with some friends and they all liked the beer too. Definitely a nice place to drink some beer. My favorite was the Alt.

I had a buffalo chicken salad. It was very huge I couldn't even eat it all. The food has always been good here.

Three of us had the Hot Brown, which was simply amazing. The boys shared some garlic parm fries, I ordered a side of broccoli. My daughter had the chicken fingers and fries. Service was prompt and attentive. Got a 4 on atmosphere because the men’s bathroom was a little dirty.

The beer was great. The food that we ordered was not as great as the beer, but overall, we were satisfied and would give this place another try. We ordered the Mediterranean plate and the Aisia Stir-fry. On the Mediterranean, the tomatoes were not fresh, and they were mushy. The Asian Stir-fry had good flavor, vegetables, and rice cooked well but too much sauce for amount of food. The server was pleasant and got our order in fast before the rush. Also, they are in walking distance to the Yum Center and hotels in the area.

Bluegrass Brewing Company is a staple of Louisville. They helped to pioneer the microbrewery scene, and since 2010 they have occupied a former bank space downtown When in Louisville you have to try a hot brown. The hot brown at BBC features sliced turkey, tomatoes, bacon, mornay sauce, cheddar jack cheese, and smoked paprika served open-faced over sourdough toast ($17.90). This is a great example of this famous Louisville dish and the serving size is large enough that it could be shared. Bluegrass Brewing Company is worth a stop for great pub food and while you are there try a dank IPA.

I had a lot of fun here, we sat at the bar amd talked with the locals. The food was very good and reasonably priced for the city. The drinks have no prices listed (and the bill is not itemized). It can get very expensive very fast. They also put mandatory 20% gratuity on your bill if you go over $100 so be careful. All that aside their house made root beer was REALLY delicious, especially with a shot of bourbon in it. The beer was also very good and we got a flight to try several of them. I think the bourbon is what got so expensive for us, my husband asked for a recommendation and absolutely loved the drink he got but apparently it was pretty top-shelf. I guess he has bougie taste! I would recommend Bluegrass Brewing if you are into beer, but maybe ask about the prices first!

The food was decent especially the garlic fries. The fish was excellently fried, but it didn’t really have flavor. The tarter sauce really pieced the missing link to the crunchy fried fish and made me enjoy it for that 4th star.

Our experience was purely bar related, we did not order food. We stopped in to order cocktails and the bartender Michelle was the best we’ve had so far during our trip, everyone was very friendly, but she was extremely helpful and personable. Our drinks were great too!

1st day in Louisville we did a little bike tour and ended up at Bluegrass Brewing Company or BBC as their logo shows. My favorite beer is the Home Wrecker Imperial India Pale Ale and @ 10.5% it will knock you out, b careful. A special find for my friend was the meade, meade is made from honey and is usually a little sweeter than my palette appreciates, she really liked the Luna de Miel: Raspberry Meade @ 7.8% served as a 6oz pour, my little sips said fruity and light. The menu had lots of great options, I went with the Blackened Salmon Tacos, they were good, but the cilantro rice was spicy and amazing (sorry no pictures) Since BBC has the Home Wrecker and great food, I will be back.

Cool location downtown, there is an upstairs and a downstairs; the downstairs is dining and the bar. I’m pretty sure there was a small shaft elevator too, pretty neat! The vibe was on point and the food was tasty, nice and appropriate prices!

Food was decent, the beer was amazing and staff was nice. I would go back for apps and beers for sure! The porter was so smooth, I want more. Great location right next to the KFC Yum Center. It is worth stopping in for a beer or two.

Neat restaurant near the KFC YUM! Center. Really good food. My wife had the Hot Brown Sandwich and enjoyed it. I had the Blackened Salmon Tacos as recommended by our server Sarah. Great suggestion. They have a nice selection of beverages. Good outside seating and pet friendly.

I LOVE this place. From the food to the service to the atmosphere. We were greeted at the door by Diamond who was very sweet. Our server Ren provided quick and excellent service. Then Ms. A at the front door noticed my little ones getting restless and brought them over to the game tables and even played with them a bit. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Then there's the food. My husband had the salmon tacos and couldn't say enough good things about it. The homemade chips are to die for. We even got extra to bring home. We were gonna order from them again today but they are closed on Sundays. Oh, we were so bummed! I would recommend this establishment 100%.

We stopped in while on vacation and sat at the bar. Huge thank you to the bartender Drew who recommended the hot brown it was fantastic. Drew also took the time to give tips on all the spots to check out while visiting and provided next level service. We will be back.

If you are coming in early to see the Cardinals play basketball or going to an event at the Yum Center this is definitely a good spot to hang grab a drink and a bite to eat. I came hungry and downed a Hot Brown, pretzel sticks and half my wife's baffalo salad. All great choices.

Man the food was great! And so was the beer! I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich without the Kaiser roll, and it was fantastic. Just the right amount of Buffalo sauce, a crispy breast of chicken, topped with really fresh bike cheese, and chopped celery all on a bed of spinach leaves.. super meal- highly recommended.

Great beers brewed in house and also one of the few places I could find that actually had a hot brown sandwich - one of the signature Louisville dishes.

Overall experience was great! We came in around noon on a Saturday but had no wait which was wonderful. My mom had the chicken salad and I had the tenders. She really liked the salad, but I probably wouldn’t get the tenders again. We will definitely come back!

I stopped by for dinner with a few friends and the food was decent, but nothing I'd rave about. The service was great though, and I didn't regret ordering the Blackened Salmon Tacos. This is a spot I'd rather visit to watch a game with a beer than go for dinner.
