Great music! You order on the QR code they provide, very fast and easy. Drinks were strong and food was good!

This place was so inclusive and I loved it. I gave it a 4.5 because I didn't like the ordering process. You didn't have a clue what the food or drinks looked like. I forgot what the app was but with 8 people ordering things it was a bit much. The servers were quite friendly. The food was tasty! I loved the fried pickles and sparkling julep.

Started our day at the Silver Dollar when heading out to various distilleries in the area. Service was fast and nice, and the variety of food/drinks options was great. The biscuits and home fries were excellent and our drinks delicious. Definitely want to highlight the awesome bourbon selection as well. To note, you order food and drinks at the bar and service at the table is limited. Regardless, would definitely come back.

This is an old fire station from the late 1800's. The food was served very fast! The chicken sandwich, oh my! Great atmosphere and a cool place to dine at if you're ever in the Louisville area. Try it, you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Super fun environment and the food was delicious! The fried pickles were top-notch and the carnitas were awesome too. My friend had the burger and said it was good! Everything came out PIPING hot which is my favorite. The drinks were good and the service was quick!

I really want to like this place. But every time I’ve been in here, the staff is aloof, and pretentious. You get the feeling they are annoyed by serving you. Sat at the bar one evening and waited about 15 minutes to get a water. To say nothing of the time it took me to get my drink. More recently, my wife and I went in there one evening, it was a bit later and they were slow. Had a sign at the front that said please wait to be seated. Bartender and waitress were halfway down the bar talking. 10 minutes passed and they were still talking. We gave up and left. There was a lady in front of us who said she’d been watching them talk for about 5 minutes before we got there. Great spot, good location, good food. Staff needs to be more attentive to guests.

Great food, fun laid back atmosphere in a historic Louisville building and neighborhood. We had the Kentucky eggrolls, beef empanadas, smash burger and fried chicken sandwich. All amazing. Not to mention Shinerbock on draft!

Okay… 1st we always go around our Louisville home and try new places. We were excited to try this place. The people were nice and it was a very chill spot. There was about 5 other patrons. The portion size was good for the price…BUT… my coffee that was a tea cup, that cost me $3.00…. Was microwaved, the cup itself was extremely hot to the touch… and that my friends was the only thing that came to the table hot. Well that and the glasses of water. Which had been just sitting at the bar waiting for someone to come in. There was one lonely baby ice cube left between the two cups. We both had to add salt and pepper to the biscuits any gravy as well as the hash brown casserole. The presentation was nice. And the mimosa was good but not worth 6.00, Bc it was in a tiny water glass. As did the orange juice. We are all for supporting, local business’, this was not worthy of the money spent.

my gf & i were on a road trip & stopped for dinner at this place bc they had vegan & veg options <3 we both got salads bc we wanted to eat light for our long car ride. the pickle chips were crispy & had a great dipping sauce. the avocado salad was pretty good, but rather small for an entree salad at this price with no protein... we were excited to find a place with options for us though! and the atmosphere was very lgbtq friendly <3

We had a super scrumptious brunch and chill at the bar here. Everyone was pleasant, the food was good and fresh, and prompt, and the building is super cool!!

Great chili. Great Manhattan. Great patio. Great staff. (Thanks Ty, Brody, Stephanie, and Annika.) I went back for a classic Mint Julep…strong and tasty. Yum.

Sad to see what’s become of this spot. Ordered the chili, and it was literally meat and tomato sauce. My first though was surely there’s something else here? No. Meat. Tomato sauce. That’s it. No shortage of mask charades here either. Still.

This is the worst restaurant I have eaten at in the state of Kentucky. Between their poor management techniques and the attitudes behind their managers in the front of the house and the terrible food being produced and served from the kitchen. I would give this restaurant a 0 star rating they may have some of the best bourbons but All of the negativity from the other sections of this restaurant outweighs the good things about it. If you're looking for a good place to eat at I would not recommend this place.

My wife and I enjoy The Silver Dollar. It had been closed for the pandemic but recently reopened. Since we were last there very little changed. And that is good. Service is excellent, good is great, and the beer is cold. I recommend trying it.

Love this place. Best Manhattan in the city!!! Also, food is great. Only concern is not seeing the FRIED OKRA on the menu. Please, please bring it back....that is one thing we order EVERY visit! Seriously, bring it back.

First stop for a night of bar hopping. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the cocktail menu and helping us choose something. We sat outside to enjoy the weather. Great atmosphere. We only ate an appetizer, the fried okra, which was good. Will definitely go back again for a meal.

I’m very much a recluse, but I was having a dreadful night and hoped a bit of getting out might help. The staff was amazing and even the guests here seem very laid back. Not an uptight atmosphere at all. They even have a Working Class beer menu which I found very charming since most everything from literature to tv shows focus solely on the rich. Working people are largely forgotten in our society. Thanks for that! I had a catfish sandwich which was fried to perfection and with slaw on top. As a southerner, I thought chipotle on catfish was troublesome, but I liked it. I would probably order it plain in the future but I’d 138% order again. My server, Claire, was really cool and recommended a punk rock band when I asked about their shirt. Raw Brigade has a new fan. Reminds me of Black Flag and others I enjoy. A young man also helped me but I didn’t catch his name. Very kind also he was. I don’t go to bars much and I haven’t been out in over two years. I am always on the cautionary side of doing so. But I liked this place as it’s close to home and people were nice to me. Food was good and now I have a new whiskey to look for. 🖤 Also have noticed the music is good the very few times I’ve been in. Early rock n roll like Eddie Cochran- esque/ rockabilly style tonight. Loved that too.

My wife and I dated in this bar. We've frequented this establishment for years, always being intentional about returning when we're in town. Always. The food and drink at The Silver Dollar are top shelf; and the atmosphere fun, and emblematic of Kentucky-culture. If you're looking for a memorable evening, and some tasty whisky-drinks, look no further. This is your place.

Yall this place is a 10/10. We came here on a work outing. The attention to detail is 👨‍🍳's😗. I arrived a few minutes before with another coworker we decided to wait outside for everyone else. In less than 1 minute a serve came out to check on us. Let us be seated before the rest of our party. They had waters and menus waiting for us. The serve was knowledgeable and proud of the menu and drink menu, with drinks they created as a staff👏👏 the food was excellent. The bartender took pride in each drink and it showed!! Great ambiance, great food and drinks!! Bring your friends and family❤️❤️

This place knocked it out of the park ... the food was fantastic & the atmosphere! Playing albums of classic country!!! The server, I wish I knew his name, knew all about bourbon, and offered great suggestions! One straight-up awesome stop!!!

The food was pretty decent. I appreciate any place that has vegan friendly options. I also like when places don’t have a huge menu but have a good selection of food. The decor is nice and I love the brick wall accent behind the bar. The service was friendly and the atmosphere is laid back. I felt really comfortable and had a good time. We got a bottle for the table and it was decently priced and yummy.

First time there tonight, really enjoyed it. Our waitress was super friendly and very helpful, checked in with us and topped off our water glasses frequently. The Texas chili was basically a bowl of seasoned beef, with toppings on the side to add as we pleased. The fries were perfect - hot, crisp on the outside and soft inside with the right amount of salt on them. We were given cups of two different hot sauces with explanations of what they were and how much heat was in each, and both were tasty and not just hot for the sake of being hot. It was a nice place to spend time in, very comfortable, and they had REAL country honky-tonk music on the stereo, Lefty Frizell, not some BS “bro” country! Wow! Excellent experience, definitely worth a second visit. If I lived in Louisville this would be a great place to hang out!

Great restaurant and great food, but terrible parking situation. Be prepared to drive around until street parking is available, and then you might need to walk a bit

This place was recommended to me by a friend that had lived in Louisville for about 8 years and it didn't disappoint. There was a binder full of bourbon to choose from and a great choices of food on the menu. The staff easily handled our group of 10 that arrived with no notice. The bourbon flights were a great way to be able to sample what was available.

First time at this restaurant and was so grateful they were open on New Years Day! We came in the evening around 5:30z I didn’t get our waitress name but she was incredible. Took our order because we didn’t want to order from our phones. She graciously didn’t mind. Excellent service gal. Please recognize her. She was incredible! The best burger I have ever ate. I think it was called the “Smash Burger”. Thanks so much. We will be back.

This has been a favorite stop when I am in Louisville but this time it was disappointing. I ordered the brisket sandwich and unfortunately I didn’t notice that it came with pimento cheese on top. The load of cheese overwhelmed the flavor of the brisket and made the sandwich a sloppy overly salted mess. I love brisket but found this almost inedible.
