Great atmosphere and ambiance. Our server Shane was amazing! Friendly, professional and on point! She rocked! The food was amazing as well! Don’t be deterred by negative reviews. I rebooked my cancelled reservation after being scared reading some bad reviews and took the risk. Chef Wes came out and thanked us for visiting and brought out our dessert himself. Highly recommend the Stewed Beef and Tempura Mushrooms. Cocktails were delish too! 👌🏼

Great food, had lemon drop, hummus, chicken sliders and lamb chops! Food and drinks were great! And would definitely come back for more soon! However 1 complain which I don’t usually write is my server. Vaniece. She gave us our check when we weren’t even done yet, Nor was it time for the restaurant to close or even near that. Which made us feel like unwanted or unwelcome at the restaurant sadly.. but otherwise the food was great 👍🏼

I liked the atmosphere, the view and most of all…you can’t beat the weather! 70’s and sunny in November! The Lamb Meatballs were delicious. Definitely sit outside on the roof when you can.

Wonderful experience! From the time we met the hostess and mentioned it was our anniversary, to the final dessert, they tried to make sure it was a special memory for us. It took a while for the initial server to greet us, but once she did she was attentive and helpful. Kylie was awesome and helped to make our special night even more special.

First time here. Rooftop ambiance was great. And the good ends there. Burgers weren’t just rare, they weren’t even cooked! Mahi mahi tacos were super bland and not worth $20. Server never brought silverware and never filled our waters - the basic necessities at a restaurant, right? We also got the burgers out 20 minutes before the pizza came out. This place has so much potential but I will NOT be back. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, and has for YEARS, I was thoroughly disappointed. Don’t waste your money.

Terrible service. We sat at the bar, 2 different different bartenders looked at us but didn't speak, offer a menu nor drink. We had to yell out to ask for something. Prices were ridiculously expensive. We ended up having one drink and left. They do have comfort seating and is a nice place to see the sunset.

My husband took me there for dinner this last Friday. This weekend before 💝 Day. They have these clear igloos that you can get out on the patio. They do have a requirement of a minimum purchase of $250 & no more than 2 hours in there. But they are worth it!! They each have a theme. We got "Casino night". They also have a "Bourbon" one. They had a "Love" one, ect. It had a little fake fireplace in it to keep us warm. There was only the 2 of us but it could have seated 8. We ordered mini fried chicken sliders for apps,YUM!! Main course he got Shrimp n Grits & I got a Smashburger that was so good!!! Food a 5. Atmosphere a 5. The only reason I rated Service a 4 was we waited 15 min when we first got there & we did have a reservation & no one really talked with us..but our server was awesome!! Highly recommend for something different than your typical nice restaurant.

Great atmosphere!. That's it. As in other people's reviews, the NY steak was undercooked and a lot of blood came out when I cut it. So I received the food again. You shouldn't expect anything about taste. It's just a restaurant with a good atmosphere. It is a good place to have a good time with friends. I recommend parking on the 1st floor if possible. There is a parking building, but you have to move back to the first floor and change to another elevator.

Dinner here was amazing! The Executive chef, Henry Wesley stopped by our table, and we felt so welcomed. He is teaching the cooks right! Will definitely be back!

Wow, 4th time @ 8UP, even better than I remember! Have to shout out our amazing server Annie, she was completely wonderful, super attentive, and really elevated our experience. Everything was delicious, we wanted to try the NY strip too, but it was sold out for the evening.. honestly it did not effect our visit. The potato’s fritters, shrimp and grits, and cheeseburger w/ fries were ALL amazing!! Got the bourbon pineapple upside down for dessert, it killed!! Hope to be back very soon! Thanks.

Cool spot. I wish we could have sat outside but the weather was a little cool. They were busy, the service was good, the salad I ordered was messy because it was piled with strips of apple and as soon as I cut into it the apples shot in every direction and went all over the floor and my lap. Cocktails were good although a little pricey. Pizza was respectable. I used to own a pizzeria and consider myself somewhat of an afficianado so I know of what I speak. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be back.

Everyone was friendly service was very slow, from how many customers where in there I didn't understand why but I don't make a fuss about. Food was good selection was not great and was on the expensive side. Overall the only thing I had to say is wait time was a little long.

Service was excellent and wonderful, upbeat ambiance. While the menu was interesting, the execution was not great. Salmon and quinoa lacked flavor other than overly fishy taste. Mediterranean Pizza was interesting but floppy and dough was lacking any taste at all. Third visit in 8 years and likely won’t return unless it is very convenient to other plans

I have never experienced a worse dinner in my life. For starters, of the large 4 tv setup, only 1 worked. You could only see the top right of any game. We were not given any silverware or napkins. My wife's "steak" was just disgusting. They didn't even ask how we wanted it cooked. My "smash burger" was a disgusting, flavorless oily mess. The second I touched it, a massive clump of mayo fell out onto the plate. I took 1 bite and asked for the check. The server did not question why we were asking for a check after 1 bite or why we didn't want a box. Paid $65 for the WORST meal experience I've ever had. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

Great View, Great Interior Design. The Lamb meetbal and Crunchy potatoes were amazing. However, it gets really busy during the night hours which greatly affect the customer service of the restaurant

Burgers are very good, steak was a bit bland, as was the salmon, shrimp and grits was good but lacked salt. Outstanding atmosphere friendly and attentive wait staff. - with that said I do look forward to coming back to try out the breakfast

We had pleasant experience. Great food and excellent service. Keep in mind that your food is cooked to order so order a couple appetizers when you get your drinks, and enjoy your time. You won’t regret it and we will be back. Ohh and make a reservation.

Let me start by saying the staff is good and no issue there. Just the menu/food is just horrible now. I understand everything going on but for the price you are paying, it is not worth it at all! Save your money on the food, just get a few drinks and leave.

Go for the views. Definitely need to make a reservation. Drinks were good. Pizza wasn't bad but it would have been better if it was hot.

We went to a birthday dinner on a Saturday night. Reservations were for 18+. 1st... Terrible finding the entrance. 2nd.... An open room is available for such get togethers however we were squished into the center of the main room. 3... The menu was awful, choices were sparse, and food was immensely underwhelming. 4... PRICE. 5... If you bring your own cake, the chef CHARGES $5 A SLICE TO CUT IT OR YOU CAN "RENT" A KNIFE FOR $25 TO CUT IT YOURSELF. HUH?!?!? 6... Our waitress was amazing, everyone else was standoffish and acted like giving directions to the bathroom was beneath them. 7... I paid $100 for 2 sodas, 1 salad, 1 undercooked cauliflower dish, and hummus. 8... Did I mention PRICE? Never again will we waste time and money in an overrated hotel restaurant.

Very excited to take out of town guests to an upscale bar / restaurant but turned out to be a very disappointing experience. The specialty drinks were very good & lived up to my expectations but the food was incredibly disappointing. Tempura Mushroom caps were highly recommended but turned out to be the worst! Tiny bits of mushrooms enclosed with an enormous amount of tempura batter slathered in a soy garlic based sauce. The fried chicken sliders were even more of a disappointment. Very little chicken in too much batter. Artisan pizzas were bland & flavorless. For the prices 8UP charges I expected the food to be elevated & not over battered bits of meat & vegetables. I say go for the drinks but stay away from the food. I walked away feeling sick to my stomach.

Went to 8up for a birthday dinner and dined on the roof in the igloos. Though that experience was neat, it was not enjoyed. A small space heater was not sufficient to heat the area that myself and 3 friends were in. We were misinformed how much the minimum would be that needed to be spent within a 2 hour time frame- ended up being $250 more than the expected $250-300 minimum we intended on spending. The chef should be ashamed of sending out plated meals that were not only disrespectfully bland, but priced and sized as well. The corn bread was dry and crumbled in the small skillet it came out in. The 4 jumbo shrimp served as "cocktail" were overly cooked, rubbery and dry. We were severely disappointed when the shrimp and grits were accompanied by these same shrimp but even cooked longer (perhaps again to heat and serve blackened). The lamb was literally all fat. Beef stew was so full of salt, it was hard to enjoy what probably would have been a decent dish. The pepperoni pizza was literally the only thing that was enjoyable. (Mushroom appetizer was pretty good as well). The server said she wouldn't hold us accountable to the minimum amount to be spent and split the check 4 ways for us. 20% gratuity was already added. Which was expected had there been 6 people in our group. The 5th showed up roughly an hour into the experience. Saying this- we had not been expected for it to be added but still threw in a little extra for the kindness of the server not making us spend more with such little time frame left and for the consideration that she was still serving and working on top of a roof top in February. The issue was the not the service in anyway, that's why I didn't give only 1 star. Needless to say, I will not go back and would not recommend 8up to anyone.
