This place is one of the most fun steak houses I’ve been to. Deathly known for their live band and barrel aged in bourbon steaks. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu even the shrimp was fantastic. Would definitely go back.

This place is very classy with DELICIOUS food! It's pretty pricey but their steaks are worth it. Great service, atmosphere and food. We had a great dining experience. You've got to try this place!

The food was amazing and the waiter made celebrating my friend birthday even better. As a Pescatarian in a steakhouse, I was amazed at the very good sushi options.

My experience here was excellent! The service, food, recommendations, the ambiance of the restaurant…I have absolutely no complaints! We requested that the staff set us up with appetizers (since we couldn’t decide) and they were delicious! I couldn’t get my phone fast enough to take pictures since everyone was so excited to taste everything. Would highly recommend trying the sushi Ruby Roll, cocktail shrimp, lamb chops, and Wagyu meatballs. My personal favorite was the sushi. Once we got to the main course, the barrel-cut was phenomenal! It melted in the mouth and was so tender. Cooked perfectly according to what was requested and the flavor was delicious. We ordered a variety of sides as well to share and those were gone rather quickly. Desserts were also served family style so I did manage to snap some photos! Most impressed with the butter pie and carrot cake. Outstanding service and amazing experience!

Group of 8...we had tip-top service. Kobe beef meatball appetizer was amazing. Steaks cooked perfectly. A couple people got sushi and loved that too.

Great dining experience all around! Our waiter was very friendly and took great care of us throughout dinner. Their wine list had a bunch of great options that covered a wide range of price points. We settled on the Silver Oak cab and it did not disappoint. We then started with two orders of the Ruby rolls and we all got the wedge salad, which had fantastic flavor! For dinner, it was no surprise that all of us ordered some type of steak. The filet was cooked to perfection and the flavor was insanely delicious. Everything paired great with the sides we ordered, especially the baked Mac & cheese and truffle creamed corn. Overall we had a fantastic experience for dinner and cannot wait to come back!

Impeccable service, staff that treat you like friends and food that is just to die for made our evening at Jeff Ruby’s in Louisville one we will remember for a long time. My wife and I started our evening with an Espresso Martini and a Barrel Aged Manhattan. Wow! Both were well balanced and enjoyable. For appetisers we had some of the oysters, a sushi roll and the mozzarella do buffalo - which is likely one of the sleepers on this menu. We continued with a classic, the Freddie Salad. We love it for its simplicity and tastiness. The crunch of the lettuce, the bacon salt against the dressing sweetness and the acidity of the tomatoes all combine to make a salad that is as good the next day as it is at the restaurant. For the main course we enjoyed the Cowboy and Blackened ribeyes - PERFECT - as well as sides of broccolini and Mac and cheese (6 imported cheeses folks!). We finished with butter cake and then new chocolate espresso cake - a wowed for sure! And yes, we took half of this home to enjoy for several days more! As great as the food was, what really made our dinner one to remember were the staff. Our head server was Daisy, who timed everything perfectly and made us feel at home. She gave us great insights to the menu and guided us to food we loved. And she matched a wonderful red wine from Paso Robles with my dry aged steak! The GM Tony made several stops at our table, and Massimo - one of the management - was just delightful to talk to. A lovely evening spent here and one to remember! Thank you Jeff Ruby’s!!!

First time at Jeff Ruby’s. The food and service were exceptional. For starters, I had the Miami sushi roll and my wife had the wedge salad. For the main course we both had the petite filet and shared the Idaho baked potato (we wanted room for dessert)! I had the cheesecake and my wife had the peanut butter pie. Both were excellent. The bottomless coffee was also very good!

Had a fantastic experience, with exceptionally good food, and the most divine pianist. The staff in every aspect went above and beyond. Enjoyed our first visit so much, we went back a week later. Very inviting atmosphere, and can I just say, if they ever decide to replace that gorgeous piece of furniture in the women's restroom, I will absolutely take that off their hands....my Great-Grandmother had one just like it, I had forgotten about it, until I entered the ladies room, lovely piece, and appreciate the good memories it brought back. Thank you!

Great dining experience, our server Paul was amazing! The food was great, worth the splurge. 70 Day dry aged Cowboy Ribeye was fantastic as we're the Brussels sprouts and fingerling potatoes. Save room for dessert, the carrot cake is awesome.

Will never forget this place because it's at this place that one of the most important events of my life took place. I got engaged 💍 when we went to celebrate my fiancé ( then boyfriend) birthday 🎂 it was very sweet and unexpected ❤️ but the servers were actually part of the whole thing without my knowledge. We came from Ohio and we were visiting Louisville KY for my fiance birthday. have forgotten the name of two of the servers who played along to make that day a memorable one and the manager went to announce our engagement 💍 to the wonderful lady who was performing her concert and we were invited to dance together while everybody was clapping for us ❤️🥰 thank you Jeff Ruby. Will always recommend this place.

Best steak I've had in a long time and I've been to some good steak houses. Got a sushi roll as my appetizer and it was delicious, too. Service was perfect Southern hospitality you'd want. My only complaint is the order of fries was very small, they were delicious but definitely not enough to share like most steakhouse sides. Loved our dinner!

A SUPERB EXPERIENCE!!! If you are ever in Louisville Kentucky, PLEASE enjoy! We loved EVERYTHING about Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse from the welcome at the door, the decor, our waiter Darryl, the cake for my granddaughter cake for her Sweet 16, and the invitation to come again upon leaving. My grands enjoy the jellybeans at the door as well! Thanks, Jeff Ruby!

The execution of my wife’s surprise birthday party was flawless. The service and food are worthy of a Michelin star, Louisville’s Jeff Ruby’s is far more than your ordinary upscale steakhouse. I highly recommend them and will be returning myself again and again.

Absolutely superb. I've never been to a high end steakhouse like this before, and they impressed me at every turn. The service was excellent, the staff was professional and knowledgeable, and the food was fantastic. I got a Wagyu steak that melted in my mouth, and Espresso Martini that did not taste like alcohol (great perk for me) and a cheesecake that beats Cheesecake Factory by a longshot. Expect to pay a very hefty price per person, but I'm not going to take any stars away from that becausebl the experience was so good.

We have been there three times now, and have never been disappointed. We just went for our kids birthday and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We all got steaks and some appetizers and they were all delicious. Our servers were great. I recommend Jeff Rubys to anybody.

We made reservations for Oct 13 at 5 pm open. Anyone we talked to said this was the best. We got there early and people were gathering. We were seated promptly at 5 in a wonderful booth and given menus. Water was brought to table. Bread was sreved. Josh P came and he told us about the drink menu. Explained the wine origins and my husband asked about Bourbons. Josh & husband talked a bit. Josh explained the fresh sushi featured and than to the menu where we asked about select appetizers. We wanted a smaller meal so we asked about the Collinsworth and Lobster Burrow. He described and it was perfect. We ordered drinks and than crab cake & oysters. We had Lobster Burrow, 1/2 Brussels and 8oz fillet Collinsworth. Our drinks and food were fabulous. So much attention to detail. Kudos to your chefs, your servers and especially to Josh who took the time to make our evening special. It was great seeing a family with children enjoying their evening too. Visiting from out of town.

I had some small disappointments with this place, especially with it being one of the most well known steakhouses in Louisville. Ambience is great. Decor is great. It feels like you’ve traveled back in time in certain areas and really feels like a steakhouse. Server was fantastic. We actually had two of them due to them being very packed, but they were both amazing. Incredibly friendly, explained everything well, and helped us with everything we needed help with, along with clearing off used plates and dishes pretty quickly. Wife had the ceased salad to begin. She wasn’t a fan, said the dressing was too strong, however I thought it was great. House made croutons and a good amount of dressing. I also got the spicy tuna roll. It was just okay. Not much you can do to improve a tuna roll though. There are plenty of appetizers to choose from so plenty of reasons to come back and try new things. A table right next to us got some sort of seafood platter that had oysters, king crab, and shrimp. The shrimp are a ridiculous size, they’re like the length of your hand. When you walk in you can see the seafood on ice to see what they have that day. We split the 14 ounce New York Strip and very thankful we did. Even cut in half it was more than a normal size steak we get from other places. Definitely appeared to be over 14 ounces. It came out already cut in half and plated for us. Steak was cooked perfectly and we both had more than enough to eat. I would ask for easy seasoning the next time we go. Seasoning was good, but they put wayyyy too much on and at some parts it overpowered the steak and was incredibly salty. We got the mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms for sides, which are served family style. Mashed potatoes were good, and a good addition to the steak. Mushrooms neither of us cared for. They were a bit too wet for us and didn’t seem sautéed. The flavor of them wasn’t great either. I would pass on those next time, but they have plenty of other sides to choose from. They have fresh sourdough bread that we both could have eaten 10 loaves of. It came with fresh butter, regular butter and also mushroom-truffle butter. Normally I’m not a truffle fan because it’s so strong, but this didn’t have much in it and was perfectly seasoned and a great accompaniment for the warm bread. Due to it being our anniversary they brought out a little dessert sampler with what I’m guessing was a cheesecake bite, brownie bite, and a carrot cake bite. We also got a crème brûlée and the Woodford chocolate cake. Creme brûlée was great. Had a great char flavor on some of the sugar topping which went great with the custard. Woodford cake is just an insane size and very good. Actually moist and has a great flavor with some kind of bourbon caramel drizzle over it. Ambience, service, dessert, and bread were absolutely fantastic. Will definitely come back. Know now to ask for light seasoning on the steak, which would have made it perfect for me, and to avoid the mushroom side.

My friend and I came here last Saturday evening at about 7pm. We did not have a reservation, but as we were just trying to get a bite prior to a concert later in the evening, we decided to take a chance and see if we could squeeze in at the bar. We were in luck, as 2 people got up and left just as we walked in, so we a scored seats! It was extremely crowded at the bar, but the service was still great. I was a little disappointed with the lack of options for the side items, but I ended up getting the strip steak & mac & cheese. The steak was perfectly cooked and literally melted in my mouth! The mac n cheese was great too, but not the best reheated. I had a lot leftover, and the steak was delish next day, but the mac n cheese not so much. Decor needs some updating, but overall excellent. Definitely for special occasions only, with their prices.

How to ruin a 70 day aged bone in ribeye? Ask for it Pittsburgh style medium and what you will get is an incredible piece of meat completely ruined by being blackened in Cajun spice which seems to be just salt. Complete ruin of an incredible piece of meat. The bar staff was attentive, the vodka martini and malbec were very good. The pistachio ice cream drenched in butter scotch sauce was different but good.

Amazing dining experience. Probably the best in Louisville. The food was delicious. The drinks were great. The service was amazing. The ambiance was decadent. The live band was fun, but not too loud. I would highly recommend this place if you want a nice night out. It is pricey, but worth it. The wagyu strip was delicious. The mashed potatoes were amazing. The toro was awesome too.

Fine dining at it's best. One of the best steaks in Louisville; perfectly seasoned, seared, and cooked. While it is a steakhouse, the Mac and cheese side is enough to keep coming back for more. Service is always incredible. You feel like a guest of honor from the moment you walk through the door.

Saturday nights are always busy, but the staff handled everything so wonderfully. We sat at the bar and Joe was our bartender. The drinks and service was top notch. Hunter also helped us out during our visit & was such a pleasure. Try the charred broccolini and the mac & cheese because both are KILLER.

You cannot get a better dinner experience ANYWHERE. We made the right choice of celebrating my birthday here at Jeff Ruby’s tonight. Get the Steak Collinsworth- best steak I have ever had (picture does not do it justice). And we had the very best waiters in the world!! Matthew and Grant!! We spent a large portion of the dinner just talking about how amazing they were. It was truly a blessing to have them serve us. We will be coming back and hope to see Matthew and Grant again.

The service is top notch! Very friendly and professional staff. They happily give recommendations based off your tastes and likings. We ordered the margarita, sushi, the petite fillet, the New York strip steak and the butter pie for dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. I highly recommend this place!

The food was hands down amazing. We had steaks, king crab, a burger, sushi and lobster Mac. Highly recommend. Their staff was so friendly and welcoming! Special shot out to our server Simone who was awesome and the manager Christian who checked in on us and showed appreciation that we came to eat here. A+ all around.

The steak was excellent, the bread was a little too salty but good overall. The steakhouse was also very very good but was underdone but the manager was very nice an had the fed cook a new one.

A friend and I arrived for dinner and were treated to an evening of entertainment by a magnificent vocalist who brought back the classics with a touch of vocal honey. Our meal was amazing, steak was served proper temperature, and flavor is one that I will not forget. The carrot cake is a must try as well. Our server Adrian helped to complete the experience. Her attention to detail was superb and she has her table time ratio perfected. The GM Tony stopped by with a soft touch and helped to answer any questions. Excellent experience!

I was nervous to attend dinner on a work trip to a steak house being a vegan, but I was met with kindness and great modified menu items! I enjoyed 3 sides for my meal; fingerling potatoes, mushrooms, and brussel sprouts. They removed the butters and meats, and the dishes were still absolutely incredible!
