The restaurant is cozy and the service was good but the food quality wasn't very impressive. We visited them for burger week and for sure it's not their specialty. But in general we had good time.

Went there for the Sunday Christmas Eve buffet. Buffet was well maintained, fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly, courteous and provided spot on service! Our family is considering making this buffet for the holidays, a annual family tradition. Many thanks to the Bristol/ Hurstbourne..excellent!

Thank you to Bristol Bar & Grill for being open on Thanksgiving and having a fantastic buffet. Thank you to the staff taking time away from their family's and I hope everyone who came in made it worth while for you. It was nice spending time with some family and eating great food.

I went here on a Thursday to get a burger for takeout. I had the Bristol burger which was very good(minus the bacon i paid for and didn't get). I also got the skillet fries which were delicious. On Thursdays the on tap beers are $2 and it was an enjoyable beverage for the price. Affordable and not a bad meal!

Great menu with fresh ingredients, wonderful preparation, and attention to detail in service. Highly recommend. Had the green chili wontons as an app - which are absolutely a must when you visit here. Definitely recommend. For dinner, went with the Linguine Pietro which has a wonderful flavor. The dish was prepared well, plated well, and I'd easily come back again for it.

We had a group of 22 and they did a great job of being ready for us. While we only had 1 waitress, Nicole did a terrific job. Would have given the food 5* but it wasn't hot. It was good though.

Accidently went during buffet. I was bummed because I had my heart set on theresa sweet chili that day. So I got "stuck" with buffet. My goodness that buffet was the best buffet ever. There was 5 of us. I think it was a bit pricey $156. So it will be a special occasion place.

My son and I attended the Thanksgiving Day Brunch. Loved everything about it. Our waiter was very attentive, polite and efficient. Buffet was excellent. So many choices and good quality food. The restaurant was very crowded but service was above average. The staff did an excellent job handling so many people. The atmosphere was festive, low key, never felt rushed or had to wait in long lines when refilling my plate. Will definitely have more visits soon.

Basic brunch buffet is delicious. We enjoyed biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, salmon, French toast, and scones. There were also things like fried chicken and posts salad that we did not try. It is all self serve including making your own waffles. It would be nice to have someone making the waffles or even omelets but it’s still a tasty way to get brunch on Sundays. If you want full service for brunch this isn’t it but if you like a buffet it’s pretty good food.

Sadly this restaurant looks like it is dying. Friday night and half full at best. I couldn’t find anything on the menu that excited me or my wife. I ordered the Caesar salad with salmon. The salmon was good but the romaine lettuce apparently has been sitting around for quite awhile. It was as limp as wet toilet paper.

The food was decent, but the portions and prices could be better. Specifically, the lunch menu leaves something to be desired. If you don't want an $18 lunch or a sandwich/salad, you'll have a tough time. I got the hot brown, which was very tasty, but not quite enough food.

The waitress was very young - she got our drinks brought them back and asked us about appetizers but i interrupted because my glass was gritty/ dirty feeling- she brings that back - my husband wanted to order an appetizers she says not now I have 4 tables. She comes back my husband orders his appetizer but we decided also to go ahead and get our orders in cause we didn’t know when she may come back. Food was mediocre at best we all ordered pasta dishes- pasta was bland no flavor- I never grab salt shakers but I did today! She forgot the appetizer, we had to ask for the complimentary bread- she never asked us if we wanted a drink refill- Worst service, bland food and dirty dishes I have had in a while and it was at one visit- Management could train better and talk to kitchen about issues there as well Atmosphere was the only good thing - it is nice in there eating areas So overall I cannot give a high rating..

As always, the bristol was fantastic. The owners/management do a great job hiring top tier front of house workers. And based on the food they do the same in back of house. The atmosphere is nice, but brighter and slightly louder than the highlands location. If I had to complain, that's my only complaint.

Green Chile Wontons and Sweet Chili Linguine with blackened chicken is all I ever eat here and am never disappointed. Grab a $5 old fashioned on Fridays along with other daily drink specials. You'll find the typical clientele here is wise and experienced, which is not a bad thing. A very "country club" restaurant type of experience. Top notch service.

CINDY!!! She was an excellent server and handled the rush very well. No need to apologize everything despite being busy was on time. She was super pleasant.

Consistently good quality food served in a nice dining setting at a reasonable price. Our server listened well and was highly attentive. The place is clean and appropriately decorated.

Went with a large group we were hosting at work and had a fantastic meal with excellent service; an improvement over last time we visited. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and everything went perfectly.

Loved the atmosphere, took a little while for us to get the food because they had a huge party in there at the same time. They served warm bread to start. Waitress was really sweet and communicated with us. I had the teriyaki salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly but I personally did not like the teriyaki sauce. Just my personal preference, I don't think it should be on salmon but it was still good none the less.

Had dinner tonight at Bristol on Hurstbourne. Service was very good. I ordered a chefs fried chicken salad. The lettuce was cut in very large pieces, certainly not fork sized. The fried chicken was a sliced piece of frozen, heavily breaded chicken, baked until it was dried, very little chicken Portions are small. Still waiting for the bread that was to have been served at the beginning of our meal. My husband ordered the burger that is heavily advertised that was to be medium rare. It was served well done. The ambiance is the best thing going for this restaurant. So disappointed.

Went with a bigger group for Mother's Day. The staff were accommodating and our waitress was friendly and prompt. I saw a nice assortment of food on the buffet, though much of it was meat based (I'm not vegetarian, just making a statement). The food was flavorful, but fairly basic in terms of the recipe and spices used. I'd say it's better than your typical 4-star hotel breakfast, but that's about all. Overall it was an enjoyable experience though.

We highly recommend the Bristol for a great meal and drinks too! We had a great date night tonight! My husband enjoyed his Manhattan’s and the bartender Cris was great, she was attentive and friendly my husband enjoyed talking about drinks with her. The food was amazing as always! See you guys sooner rather than later!

Not worth the price, had no flavour of Thai chili, was just creamy with cheese and no house salad was served.

this was our first dine-in visit to Bristol B&G since 01/2020! Greta, our server, was excellent - she was attentive but not hovering, was friendly & helpful with updates to the menu since our last visit. we had the grilled fish sandwich w/veggie & the Bristol burger w/skillet potatoes - both meals were very tasty & prepared to perfection. we started our meal with our favorite artichoke fritters - the fritters were as tasty as we remembered, BUT, we were VERY disappointed to discover the accompanying remoulade sauce was not the original recipe!!! the new sauce is not horrible, but not great either. PLEASE bring back the original sauce - it was perfect! the new sauce is the only reason we are not giving our visit 5 stars.

Still waiting for the rest of the chicken that’s supposed to be on this salad. I eat The Bristol every so often, but this time is a let down. I requested extra bread and butter, I didn’t receive any at all. I requested additional dressing and sauce, none of that either.

Sat down for a couple drinks at the bar. Restaurant had a good feel, the bartender was super cool and the drinks were good... I would have to go back and order food before giving it 5 stars

First time eating at the Bristo in years. Had the burger special for Louisville burger week. The burger was on the small side but very tasty. Restaurant decor is dated. Will visit again for one of the Bristol traditional menu items

Absolutely horrible! The soup of the day was a loaded potato soup. The potatoes were under cook and there was no flavor! The skillet potatoes was covered in salt and pepper! Don't get me started on the "hot brown"! It was the worst hot brown I have ever had!

Bristol is always consistent in quality service and food. My companion and I enjoyed our burgers. But, oh, the lemon cake with raspberry sauce was a perfect blend of tartness and fluffy sweet cake and icing. We definitely recommend this cake for afters.

One of the best lunch spots in Louisville (and place to eat in general). Took my grandmother here to eat for her birthday and had some of the best food and service around. Free dessert for the birthday girl. Also, the most reasonable prices in the city. Very impressed with this restaurant!

Kasi was great waitress, food came at the right time and delicious, very pleased. Only down fall was the dinner rolls, too hard on outside and tough on inside even using a knife. We both had Hot Browns and they were perfect.

We absolutely love The Bristol East. The Staff is always very friendly and welcoming and we really enjoy the cuisine. Excellent every time. Lisa, James the Bartender, Emma and Jack make us happy. We feel like family and always bring out of town friends here for the Bristol experience.

Dine in.. Lunch. A wonderful locally owned small restaurant chain. Service was friendly & helpful. The restaurant clean & patrons well spaced for social distancing. Food was delicious, as always, with good sized portions (I could only eat half) and served quickly. We ordered our favorites: Green Chili Wontons and Sweet Theresa Pasta (light on the Blackening Seasoning for the Chicken) which came with their lovely fresh baked homemade rolls. I highly recommend this dish and have been ordering it for years, it is why we eat here. It is Fettuccine Pasta tossed in a light Alfredo that has a bit of Sweet Thai Chili Sauce which gives it a subtle twist from a traditional Alfredo without being "spicy". It is topped with Blackened Chicken Breast and I have found over the years that it is better if you ask for them to back off on the seasoning, otherwise it can overpower the dish. It is finished with Fresh Parsley & Shredded Parmesan and garnished with a touch of sweet pickled Red Cabbage which adds a delightful touch of sweet and crunchy texture to the dish which really enjoy. Again, I will say that I've been ordering this dish for YEARS and it seems they have switched to making their own pickled red cabbage or changed their recipe for it because that part was not as good as usual.. but it is still yummy. I have ordered many other dishes here which I have enjoyed and their menu has a decent variety to choose from.
