We just got done eating here, and it was a good experience for My wife and I and my 2 year old. They do have their own small parking lot but at certain times of the day it is hard to find a spot because you might have to park on the street and it is on Bardstown Road. It is a nice looking restaurant with a bar in the middle so it is good for families as well as individuals. The staff there are very welcoming and we were greeted immediately with smiles. The prices are a little higher than I would like but food and portions were good. We ordered the Bristol burger and pork chop(pictures posted). Recap- Good looking restaurant, great staff and good food the only reason I gave it four stars was because it is slightly expensive.

First time here. The restaurant was nearly empty, and yet service was extremely slow. Our dinners were only warm, so possibly they were ready for quite a while before being brought to us. The menu had many appealing choices, and there were also many delicious-looking cocktails on their drink menu, so maybe I will try again. The outdoor patio looked very nice -- big and quiet -- and I'd like to try that.

This is a great little restaurant/bar on Bardstown road in Louisville Kentucky. The staff was great and food very good.

Bristol is always amazing. I mean, seriously, how many times does takeout look this good? I’m so happy to have this longtime local favorite in my neighborhood!

Had green chili wontons, Buffalo cauliflower & ginger ale recently when I visited. All were very good. Server was very nice. Fast service.

We arrived just as the Bristol opened (we like to eat early), so there wasn't a big crowd and lots of staff was available. We were greeted with a smile and eye contact, and seated right away. We had our pick of tables and chose one right by the window with the sun shining through. Our server was also smiling (a great sign) and answered our questions while getting our order. Drinks and appetizer were delivered very quickly. Loved the artichoke fritters. I'm a conch fritter fan, but really liked these - deep fried to perfection, the artichoke was moist and melted in my mouth once I crunched through the breading - tasted great, looked great. Our server took our orders and refilled our drinks. We got some fresh warm bread with our appetizers - I could have filled up on the bread, it was wonderful. I got a steak sandwich and my wife ordered the Linguine Giovanni; she really wanted chicken parmesan so they dressed it up and give her some extra parmesan cheese. Loved everything we ate. Especially impressed with how they accommodated my wife even though she wanted something that wasn't on the menu. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, the restaurant is clean and well maintained. It is an older building and definitely has some character. A great place for drinks and dinner, we will be back!

My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate us having a baby together and it was a wonderful experience. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The caesar salads were crisp, fresh and delicious. Our server was so sweet and attentive. She came over after our meal and surprised us with dinner on the house for celebrating our occasion at the Bristol. I can't thank them enough for the wonderful meal and service. We truly appreciate you guys at the Bristol and will definitely be back soon.

My wife and I visited Bristol on Bardstown road in Louisville on Saturday night (10/9). Our food and the service were absolutely amazing. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars, was the fact that another table ruined our evening. They were screaming at and berating their poor server, and a lady I assume was the manager like nothing I had ever seen before. I watched their poor server running inside and out, I'm assuming taking care of her other tables, as she should, all while wearing a cast on her foot (this caught my attention about her, as not many would be working like that with a cast). Not one time did I see that girl with empty hands. My wife and I originally wanted to sit outside, but was informed that the patio area was completely full at the time, so it's not a huge issue. They also had a large party on a raised part of the floor off to the side. My wife and I get our food (I had the crab cakes, she had sweet chili pasta) and it's nicely proportioned and tastes great. This is about the time that the commotion started, as the table in question has their food brought out not long after ours. I happen to look up and see what I can only refer to as "Queen Kong" point her large meaty finger and yell how others have gotten food before she has. My interest is now piqued. I watch the drama unfold as the server seems to apologize to them, (I say assume, because the guy with her highness yells at the server about "excuses"). This young lady showed so much grace and restraint, it's unbelievable. I maybe saw 2-3 other servers in the building that night and you could tell they were all under tremendous pressure. I'm not sure how the events ended, and quite frankly, it's none of my business. I just had to applaud the staff. In fact, I'm changing it to 5 stars. The food was excellent. The staff was excellent. I'm not going to remove a thing because someone else is a miserable human. Great job, Bristol staff. You've earned this.

Our food was delicious, and our server started out great but fizzled out after we received our food. It was lunchtime, and there were 6 of us. It became quite busy after we were seated. It took some time to get our food, and it took a long time to get bread. Our server made no apologies, nor was she friendly. We were patient, but it became irritating when we waited 10 minutes to get our check.

First time I have been here in over 12 years. Ordered the burger and fries to go. For the money, it was top notch. Cooked exactly as I requested. Burger was huge and a big portion of skillet fries included. For $16 I couldn't have been happier. In my opinion, there is absolutely no reason to go pay $20-25 for a burger at the more expensive nearby places because they're not any better than the one here. At this point, I feel it is time to delete my negative review written many years ago. All that staff has departed since, things change. They remodeled a bit and it appears the new staff is much better. Will be returning.

Celebrated my son’s graduation here. We had about 25 people. They gave us one waitress. She started off being nice. But, soon became frustrated and would ignore our request. The manager told me they were out of wine glasses. Told me they were out of cake plates, only to go and get them. They wanted us to leave. I never felt so unwelcomed at a restaurant before! But, they had NO problem applying the 20% gratuity to all of our bills. It was my son’s graduation, so I was not going to ruin his night! Believe me I paid a nice penny to get treated so poorly.

Got there at 5:30. Got my food at 7:40 and my steak was not cooked correctly. Sent my food back, and got it back at 7:55, still not cooked correctly. Tried to eat it anyway full of fat and gristle. I will NEVER go back or recomend it for anyone. Going to McDonald's.

We went for Thanksgiving buffet, the food offered was a mix of creative and traditional, the strawberry mix salad ,grilled Atlantic salmon ,and peeled shrimp were exceptional. A few of the more traditional Thanksgiving fares were a little bland for me , but serving a broad audience probably limits the amount of seasoning . The service was helpful and thoughtful, the atmosphere and decor was excellent. Highly recommend

Service great. Atmosphere great. Food good but expected more ingredients & less pasta considering the price. The wontons are delicious. The creamy guacamole is amazing. The linguine pietro is good. It was just light on the mushroom slices, sun-dried tomatoes, & capers- I think garlic was missing. It was an event weekend & they were very busy - so very possible I didn't get the best serving. All things considered, we would definitely return, especially on a non-event night.

Blown away by the salad. Probably the best salad I have ever had in a restaurant, no joke. There was a little bit of a wait for our food, but it was totally worth is because it was so good! Nice environment to sit in, lovely staff. No complaints, I will be back!

I've gone to the Bristol Bar & Grill many, many times prior to the Covid Virus. Actually since the opening of The Bristol. If your expecting the same Bristol Bar & Grill that we all come to Enjoy, Relax & be around good friends....it's Gone!!! On a Wednesday Night (which has always been a night out for Locals) the Bristol was Empty at 7:30pm. The "Bristol Favorites" are now EXTREMELY Over Priced!! The "Pork Dijonnaise Classic" was Tough, Chewy, & lacked Flavor. The Dijonnaise Sauce that use to Glaze over the Pork giving it the Special Flavor was NOT present. They have a Skimpy line of ?? down the Pork. The Price rating is a $$. Actually, when looking at the Price's on the Menu the Price Rating is $$$, (and that's conservative). Dinner for 4, (one dinner a Bristol Burger) only water to drink and no dessert....$88.00!!!!?? A small Salad that use to be included in the price of a Dinner is now....$2.00. (Or if you did not want a Salad they use to offer a substitute. Not Now! A so called Garden Salad.....$6.00??? If it were not for my Out of Town Guest who were hungry, I would have left. What happened to the Well known Bristol that was Always a Delight??

Not what we were expecting! The menu was not the same as on Opentable, so that was disappointing. Got the crab cakes as an appetizer and they were a small size. I got the sweet Thai chili pasta and it was just okay. My friend felt the same and the pork chop and and potatoes. Would not recommend, but to each their own. Service was great!

I made reservations for A table of 20, but more people showed up than I expected. The manager/waitress Was so attentive and patient. I know she had to be stressed out but she played it cool. She made my son's heavenly birthday very special.

Food is always excellent at a great price. Service for me last night went way above and beyond... My car broke down in the parking lot in pouring rain and the host came out to bring me coolant and assist with repairs.

What a great place to gather! We had family in town - a pretty big party & they were so accommodating. We were so grateful. Goes without saying that the food is fantastic! & the very dirty martini did not disappoint.

I had an early lunch and the service people are so pleasant at the Bristol. I especially enjoyed the clam chowder which I would call it a Cajun chowder. Some celery, onions, potatoes and clams ion a spicy but not hot broth. Dinner rolls fresh out of the oven. The featured Chardonnay and crabcake were also very good. I live out of town but I certainly enjoy the Bristol when I have the opportunity

The hot brown wasn't bad. Pretty much the funniest sandwich name I've ever heard. It's not as filling as you might think though, could be inflation. Extremely hilarious sign out front also, with a cool owner.

We went Burger Week. Service good, food not up to what the Bristol was pre COVID. 3 of us. I had the Blue Burger, my friend had the other burger, and my husband had a chicken dish.We also had an appetizer. My burger was horrible. McD's does better, and I won't eat a burger there. The Chili Wontons we're okay. Hubby did not like what he got. Very bland. Friend liked his burger. Totally disappointed with this visit and I was saving. Not worth it. If participation in that promotion was to bring in business, they will not get return visits because the food overall was horrible.

Came here for dinner on May 20 with a group of 10. We were the only table of people inside and it took 30 minutes just to get us a drink. Food ended up taking around an hour to arrive and the majority of the group did not like their meal. Waitress was clearly not trained to accommodate a large group as she not only messed up our bills but also took 30 minutes to even get the bills to our group. Would not return and would not recommend based on this experience

I ordered my favorite β€œThe Bristol Burger,” It was delicious as usual and for the first time I ordered a small salad with it. The salad came out quickly and was delicious with the dressing. I will certainly return. The staff was courteous.

A Louisville standard. It has aged and represents a different era in cuisine, but so many of their dishes are absolutely rock solid for what they are. Their pricing is also very fair. They may need to evolve to address changing tastes in the near future, but it's a place where you can bring multiple generations of your family and friends and everyone will find something to like.

Maybe it was the 20+ people in our party but other than the server who was amazing and needed more help, the food came out cold. For the price, I would expect better After she warmed it in the microwave it tasted great but she needed some help and I'm guessing they were short staffed. I'll give another chance as it may have been an off- night for them.

I really hate to say it, as this has been one of my favorite restaurants for decades, but lunch was very disappointing. I ordered green chili Waltons as always. I signed up for a program which sends you a text for $3 off. They forgot and charged me. My fish sandwich was inedible. The flesh was dry and no more than 1/4 inch thick, tough to chew, and swallowed by the bread. When the server was notified, she alerted the manager who, after hearing my assessment, said she would have the cook make her one. I would have advised against it but I think she was just letting me know she doubted me. I had one bite.

Always consistent & a favorite. I noticed the portions for entrees are much smaller than I remember & price increased. Bristol is not as affordable as it used to be so maybe why it was so empty.
