First visit. Went for lunch. Husband has fish and chips and was very impressed. I had the leek & potato soup and the chicken salad. We're had garlic and panko broiled carrots as an appetizer. They were very good! Everything had a beautiful presentation. Chicken salad was mild in flavor. Soda bread was interesting- my first time trying it. Has a texture similar to corn bread! Was mild in flavor. Will come again. Want to try their limerick chicken and shepherds pie!

The atmosphere is so nice here. Party of 3, we sat on the patio, even with the hustle and bustle of traffic it was very peaceful. Plants all over the place which I loved. When the sun went down, the red sign above illuminated us and set a great mood. Our server was so nice, coming often to ask if we needed refills and got our order in quickly. Our food was delightful! One person ordered fish and chips, one had a giant burger and fries, I ordered the pot pie and broccoli and it was superb. Overall this place has a great atmosphere and that’s just the outside, I never made it inside the pub so I can’t imagine how nice it is inside! Will be going back for sure.

We discovered The Raven a few months ago in search of a good Irish Breakfast. My husband and I were immediately fans of the food, service and community atmosphere. We’ve gone back once a week or so since then and have never been disappointed. For a nightcap, for dinner, to watch an F1 race, they’re just a great place to be. We’d been looking around town for a place to host a relaxed Diaper Party for 15-20 guys that didn’t charge an exorbitant fee or require $$$ minimum. We didn’t expect The Raven to be in our budget but we were happily mistaken. The Raven offered us their party space with private bar, very reasonably priced and tasty food options and even allowed us to offer drink tickets so that everyone could pick their own beverage. Brendan, the owner, discussed our options, called us to confirm arrangements beforehand and even bartended for our group. He was incredibly attentive to our sometimes rowdy group of firefighters and friends. Everyone had a great time. Bottom line - This place is a hidden gem. Outdoor patio? They have one. Family friendly? Yep. Live music? Often! Great for parties? Absolutely.

Excellent dining experience! We chose two appetizers: pepper jack cheese sticks and the scotch eggs. Both were absolutely delicious. They were lightly breaded and very fresh tasting! For a main course we had the fish and chips and chicken and waffles. The portion was huge for the money and again it was lightly breaded and the flavor was outstanding. Or waiter, Chris, was really cool and didn't mind that we sat at his table for hours while celebrating St Patty's Day!! We will return

Went here for lunch, I was really impressed with the atmosphere of this place. It had an upscale pub vibe that I really liked. I was seated right away and my waitress was the nicest woman. She was super attentive and helpful with her recommendations. I tried the stew and shepherds pie. I was impressed with my meal and everything came out hot and in good time. I would def. come here again.

Four of us went to hear some Celtic music and have dinner. The server was very nice and helpful. We got a fish and chips dinner to split and they even split it on 2 plates for us. Which was very helpful. We all really like the breaded fish and the fries. We also ordered onion rings which were a bit on the greasy side. Some have put in the reviews that they don’t give free soft drink refills but THEY DO. Free soft drink refills. Also the prices on their website are higher than they were in the restaurant and on the menu. Always a nice surprise. Everyone was very nice.

Great Food and atmosphere! The Fish and Chips, Scotch Eggs, and the West Limerick Chicken were all very good although they were a bit on the pricey side. ----Be Aware at the time of this post soda refills are NOT FREE---- While our sever was overall great they did fail to mention the part about no Free Refills.

Wow. I can’t believe how terrible my experience was. Myself and a few friends went to dinner here and most of us (5 total, not a huge party) ordered fish and chips. My friends got their food within a reasonable about of time… mine never came. After ten minutes they assured me, “it’s coming!” Twenty minutes later, “we’re so sorry, your fish and chips will be free.” A half hour later, after STILL not having my food, the rest of my table had finished and I was starving. I watched other tables get fish and chips ahead of me. Finally we just got our checks and I left hungry. I’ve never seen such poor service. Even our waitress said, “wow, I’m embarrassed.” The kitchen seriously has some issues. Stay away.

First time here. Unfortunately, was not impressed at all. The service was super slow, although our waitress was nice. Got the potato skins as an appetizer. Wanted to try the reuben egg rolls, but they were out of corned beef. The skins were burnt. My wife had fish and chips. The fish was very good, but the fries were so burnt you could taste the carbon. I had the beef stew. It wasn't any better than canned soup that you could get at a grocery store, and the serving was small. I've seen other people post about absolutely loving the food, so maybe I was there on an off day. But for the price, it wouldn't be worth attempting it again.

Not being local, finding a smaller, not main stream, GOOD dining place is always an unexpected treat. The atmosphere was relaxed and very friendly staff. The food was great, hot and quick. They weren't busy while there but the space is large enough to accommodate a fun crowd.

While many may think this is an exaggeration, this is literally the best Irish food I’ve ever had. The server was very nice, and she recommend the Irish mousse for a dessert. The owner is from Ireland, and it’s seriously the best. I would give this 100/5 stars if I could, but 5/5 is the only possibility.

Charming Irish pub with welcoming atmosphere, great food, and excellent service. Enjoyed an evening here with live bluegrass music, food and drinks. Really like the ambiance and staff. Portion sizes were small for the price but food was top notch. Definitely would come back and try more.

I just returned from Ireland and wanted to compare the Guiness and food. I was in the area and decided to try this little place. The owner is from Ireland. This is true Irish food. The menu, the service, the accent, and the environment might be the closest thing you will get to Ireland in the area. The Guiness... is really really close.

This is not a place to get food on the weekends, if you want to go out to eat in the morning. Consistently 30-45 minutes waits, on something as simple as a burger, a breakfast burrito, or a small bowl of poutine. Going to have to give them another shot, at lunch or dinner service. Brunch is best avoided here.

The food was fresh, hot, and amazing. The service is really good. The atmosphere feels like an Irish Pub. 10/10 definitely coming back. Potato & Leek Soup Potato Skins

We just stumbled across this place today, and what an awesome find! The food was so good, and the vibe was homey and exactly what an Irish pub should be. Madeline hooked us up with amazing drinks, including brewing up a special Hot Buttered Whiskey! So much more we want to try on the menu…we’ll be back!

Look at the size of this shepherd's pie and this pathetic attempt at a salad. 5 tiny pieces of lettuce, 3 cucumbers, 4 tomato chunks, and maybe a sliver of onion and red pepper. I asked for blue cheese and they brought out balsamic, but since I enjoy both, I said nothing and used it anyway. However, the minuscule salad only required half of the provided portion. No way that is 17 dollar dinner. Service was excellent and it was a really nice atmosphere, but I felt cheated on the food.

A friend and I ate here for lunch for the first time the other day. The chowder was good. My burger and fries were yummy. My friend on the other hand ordered shepherds pie with a salad. It was such a small portion.. like- real small. The salad was so small it was served on the plate with the shepherds pie. The taste of it reminded us of skyline chili, with peas and instant mashed potatoes on top. It was more expensive than my meal. A tad pricey overall.

Food is great and the staff is friendly! Couldn't ask for more, but the drink selection is a plus ☺️ We had the potato skins (yum!) and the burger week special!

Fun first experience! We showed up on a random Wednesday with 6 people and had no trouble getting seated. Near us were several musicians having what appeared to be a light jam session. The meals tasted great and looked made from scratch. Menu was amazing, just like the atmosphere! Give it a try!

Food was amazing. I need to go back to try more!! Madeline our server was fantastic. She was friendly. Service was quick. She checked on us often to be sure we had everything we needed. Was quite helpful in food selections and drink selections. This is a must stop place if you're in Louisville.

Great place to eat, since I was at an Irish place I thought I should have fish and chips and of course I was not disappointed at all. It was on point, amazing and absolutely delicious. Great experience, friendly staff and amazing food. Definitely recommended. Thank you!

Stopped in to watch some play off football at the bar. Bartender was great, drinks were cold, and the potato soup is delicious. Perfect spot to hang out.
