All of the food and appetizers were incredible. The sauces/glazed tend to be on the sweeter side, but everything is seasoned to perfection otherwise. The grilled octopus appetizers are to die for, highly recommend. Our servers were phenomenal too. They were super sweet and gave us great descriptions/recommendations for the menu. Simply the best service here.

Such a beautiful restaurant. We came here for my birthday dinner, we sat outside next to the fireplace which was amazing. The food was also very delicious. They give complimentary fresh corn bread with bourbon and molasses butter, and I think that was very special because I've never had that anywhere else.

We picked this place to go eat on our day trip to Louisville. What a lovely experience! Right on the river just a bit out of downtown. Food and atmosphere were great but the service was even better. This is the level of service and quality of food that you should expect from a restaurant of this category. I wish we had places that were this on point in Cincinnati. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

We had a good experience here celebrating the birthday of some friends. Service was attentive and friendly. Food was solid and met expectations for a higher end restaurant. Personal highlight was the bread pudding desert. Fun extra benefit of group photo taken and physically printed for us.

Indoor heated patio seating had a great view. Service was fantastic. Appetizers were delicious. We ordered the chilled jumbo shrimp which were about $3 a piece with sauces and the Crispy Phyllo Encrusted Brie which was delicious. Great place for drinks especially flights and great whiskeys. Entree and drinks not pictured, sorry 😢

We sat outside with a view of the river. Was a chilly night but the heaters were a life saver and made the tables feel cozy! Kevin was our AMAZING server! He has excellent recommendations on food, wine and cocktails. Even making us (4 ladies) special request cocktails. Diver scallops over cheese grits with succotash was life changing. Again cannot say enough about Kevin making our experience the BEST!!

I believe this is my first time leaving a review despite having been here several times. But every visit has been amazing. The service as well as food is fantastic. I always recommend this location to any friends coming in from out of town if they want a quality seafood meal. We had the seafood tower for our party of 8, the crab spinach and artichoke dip, the V style oysters, seafood platter and the seafood po' boy. It was phenomenal all around.

Stopped by on a spur of the moment. Our server was Raj and he was outstanding. Explained menu, specials and any options he thought were relevant to our meal. I had oysters that I left up to Raj to pick out. Mixture of East and West coast. They were excellent. My main was the Grouper Cheeks. The whole dish was melt in your mouth good. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic, went twice during our visit to Louisville. Possibly some of the best seafood I have ever had. Scollops on one visit and the twin lobster tails on another visit, absolutely excellent. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality of the food. It isn't "inexpensive" but when you consider the quality, and the service the pricing is very good for the service and food your receive. Extremely well run restaurant, everyone is focused on a good customer experience, I had heard one manager discussing the importance of "eye contact" with customers. This makes for a HUGE part of the experience. We were quietly discussing my friends birthday last week, and a staff member over heard... I made sure they knew it was not today but none the less they gave him a free desert. Just over the top customer service from EVERYONE we interacted with. Highly recommend and I will make this a regular stop on future Louisville visits.

As the name suggests, River House Raw Bar is one of four restaurants in this building that is set on the rivers edge. Unfortunately it was too cold for me to dine outside near the water, but the food and smoked bourbon were excellent. The raw oysters were delicious, as were all of our entrees. However, the star of the show was the smoked bourbon. It was pricy but smooth and very much worth it. Bonus - easy parking.

Started off with the grilled octopus app and it was surprisingly good! I had only ever had calamari so this was very diffirent but very good. The cornbread was good and brought out in a little cast iron skillet. My dinner date ordered the NY Strip (cooked properly) and the fried macaroni (looked burnt so we were nervous but didnt have a burnt taste). Both were good. I had the scallops over grits and it was very delicious. Everything added to the plate made it perfect, especially the corn sauce. We also shared the bread pudding with ice cream and although I thought it could have gone without the berries, we both loved it. Highly recommend the food at this place. The bourbon pours seemed a little high price so we skipped them but the service was excellent!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The view of the Ohio River was beautiful, the atmosphere with the fire pits was a nice touch. Drinks were great, food was delicious and the service nice I'd definitely visit again.

My experience here was amazing! The waiter (Keith) was so helpful when my colleagues and I went out for a business dinner. He was very familiar with the menu, the specials, drinks (based off of what people enjoyed) and all and all made sure we were well taken care of. The food was delicious, we ordered the “V” tower as an appetizer and for myself I ordered a glass of Ruffino Moscato, the NY strip steak and of course, the white chocolate bourbon bread pudding for dessert. I had to take pictures of other peoples desserts too (key lime and pecan pie) From start to finish, so tasty, flavorful, and incredible!

Our bartender was Jesse and he totally made the experience! A funny realistic relatable guy. 5 stars Jesse. We tried this place on a whim during lunch. Atmosphere is sexy and classy. Appetizers are very well selected, seasoned, and served. We tried to order everything it was that good. Thumbs up on the fish and chips, ceviche, Cajun pasta, rockerfella, and brisket sliders. Four drinks and a four course dinner ran us about $135 for 2 people. I would return! Oh and this place sits on the river. *melting

The atmosphere was ok just to dim. We were seated outside near the fire pits and had to use our cell phone flashlight to read the menu because it was so dark. It was fairly warm outback where we were seated since it was enclosed with several fire pits. The drinks were fairly priced and well made. Our waitress was very friendly and very good at up selling on the dishes. ( yes, up selling) I had the tower which was just ok other than the muscles tasted very funny so I did not eat them. The beed short ribs were delicious. My husband ordered one of the steak dishes and said it wasn't great and could have been season better. We were in an 18 wheeler and they did allow is to stay on the property overnight which was a plus. If we ever pass by and have time to stop we will visit again. Best cornbread I have ever had!

It's a high-end restaurant. I recommend you make a reservation before going here for a special event. I went there for our wedding anniversary, and they gave me a free dessert with berries. The V-Tower on the menu was enough for two people, but we couldn't finish it. The food quality was good, the tastes were typical, but the food was fresh. The interior was atmospheric and beautiful. Eating inside in winter, the view from the Patio side is not good because you can't see the river during winter.

River House is such a warm, pleasant restaurant in which to dine. The food is delicious, the service is attentive. The plating is beautiful. It’s just an overall excellent restaurant. I highly recommend the steamed shrimp starter and the scallops with cheddar and ham grits, succotash, and corn butter. It is heavenly. The Keylime pie was beautifully presented with lots of whipped cream, accompanying fruits and berries and dense delicious filling.

The restaurant is very beautiful, our waiter Raphael was great. Very nice and hospitable. The food was delicious as well. I had grilled asparagus and fried Mac n cheese as my appetizer/side dish. For my entree I had the Braised Beef Short Rib with mashed potatoes. It was so good and tender. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend. Everything was great. The prices are medium to high and the portions where perfect sizes.

Would definitely go again. I wasn't the biggest fan of what I picked the first time I went but my partner really enjoyed her food. The dessert was delicious and service was great. Made a reservation and didn't know that it was the same as their closing time, so be careful with that, but they still accommodated us wonderfully.

The food was fantastic. The waitress was attentive and sweet. The kid in our party wanted a marshmallow when he saw the adults with adult drinks, and she kindly brought him one on a stick. Which leads me to say: Don't sleep on the campfire old fashioned. It was fire. Literally.

My husband and I recently dined at the River House Restaurant and Raw Bar this past weekend. We are from out of state and decided to choose this restaurant the night before we headed home. We ordered the Tuna Cheviche for an appetizer. For our entree we both ordered salads and I had the Blackened Rare Hawaiian Ahi Tuna and my husband had the In house Smoked Ribeye. We frequent nice restaurants at home and when we travel and we both agreed it was one of THE BEST meals we have ever had! The service from Cassie was top notch! By the end of the night we truly felt like family and truly hated to go. We plan on visiting family in KY in the near future and will definitely be visiting this restaurant again and hope to have the blessing of Cassie! 💖

I will start by saying I made reservations for dinner. We were seated and waited 15 minutes for anyone acknowledge us with filling our water glasses. I had to stop a waiter to ask for service. There was definitely plenty of staff and a waiter catering to a table just a couple steps from our table. After finally getting a waiter to take our drink order, the manager did come out and apologize. We then waited a total of 45 mins for our order to be taken. As the table seated next to us who arrived after us had received their drinks, appetizers and meal. They had multiple servers catering to them while not once did they ask if we had been taken c That all being said, the waiter we finally got was amazing! He was taking care of several tables on the other side of the restaurant and outside. The food was delicious and the manager compensated our drinks and appetizer. I will close by saying, hopefully this was not a normal experience but definitely was not a great one for the money spent.

Food and service were great. The seared scallops dish is very fulfilling and seasoned. Sitting outside on a nice night is very enjoyable. Only thing that could have been better is the music at king fish, we can do without that. This is definitely a place to go for a nice dinner outing.

I was in town for work and was on my way to Joe's Crab Shack until asking a local Uber driver for recommendations. This was the first place he mentioned and it sounded like the perfect spot. We show up as a party of 4 without any reservation and they had us seated within 10 minutes. To start off, we had a few drinks and if you're a bourbon fan, they've got you covered. The menu is fantastic for both new and experienced bourbon drinkers, and the prices are very fair. I recommend the 2020 Jack Daniels Barrel Proof Rye 😎 The food was outstanding as well. We had the V style oysters as an appetizer, and I ordered the NY Strip with smoked bacon and caramelized onion jam with fried mac & cheese and spring vegetables. I normally won't order a steak rare, but given the quality of everything else, I gave it a shot. I must say, this was the best cooked steak I've ever had at a restaurant. The fat was rendered perfectly, and the inside was wall to wall pink. Every bite was tender, smoky, and delicious! To top all this off, then comes the bourbon white chocolate bread pudding. It tastes even better than it sounds! They nail the contrast with the warm pudding and the cold ice cream and fruit. Its the perfect way to top off a rich savory steak. The whole meal checks all the boxes and left nothing to be desired. Overall, I was extremely impressed as this was absolutely one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant. I will make a point to visit every time I find myself in Louisville.

Food was good, I ordered the Bacon wrap Tenderloin and plate was wiped clean before I left. Waiter was helpful, with our questions with the menu. Venue was clean, staff friendly. We will be back!

The seafood chilled salad was really good. It allowed the natural flavors of the pieces to play off one another. The really winner was the complimentary corn bread. I was finally able to understand and appreciate the beauty of the southern Corn bread. The steak was just ok but the sauce was good. I ordered medium rare and it was on the tougher side. My cocktail was just average. The service was cold and sterile but improved I guess when they realized I was serious about buying. Hopefully when I go there next I will have a better reception. So far the season and corn bread were the show stoppers. I want to go back and try more of their menu.

Hmm. This is a great place for a romantic dinner. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is enjoyable. However, I was disappointed by the food this go around. It was very bland and could use more seasoning. I would suggest going for lunch as the food is much better.

Beautiful setting, right on the riverbank. Excellent, courteous staff, well-mannered. Outstanding food--I had the NY strip with seasonal veggies and fried Mac n cheese--at very reasonable prices. Picturesque with chairs along the bank. Indoor AND outdoor seating available. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend the cornbread as a dessert when they offer it!! The scallops here are awesome too. Sat at the bar with with no reservation, received great service and had my food sent out so fast. Definitely want to come back and try more of their menu.

Excellent experience. We had the pork belly burnt ends and the seafood pasta. Both were absolutely wonderful. Also if you like hot sauce chef John has a homemade "Hot As F**k" sauce which was amazing. My guess was a mix of Habanero and Carolina Reaper peppers which he grows fresh on site. Our bartender Kevin was very charming and quite funny. Plenty of outside bars mixed with a wonderful view of the Ohio river and masterful fresh food equates to Louisville's finest culinary experience. Highly recommend. I'd give 6 stars if I could.

This is a fantastic place to get a meal. The menu was awesome- lots of interesting options and variety in the menu. The drink selections are awesome and the presentation of everything is great. Service was excellent and food is absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend 100%

Made a reservation here a few days ago. Had to give a credit card and agree to be charged a no-show fee. Man, this place must be good, right? Nope. My wife and I both ordered the ribeye. It was very underwhelming. Steak was pretty thin and the demi glaze seemed like it was out of a can. Had to scrape it off best I could. The green beans that came with it were coated in soggy tomatoes and had a very off putting look. Potatoes were nothing special. Ordered an heirloom tomato salad and the tomatoes were inedible. They must have been frozen or maybe past there prime because they were just mush. My wifes water had a fly in it and so did my sons apple juice that they served in a Styrofoam cup. My wife only noticed when she opened it to put water in the cup. Both my beers had some unidentifiable rubbish in the bottom of the glass. Not impressed. All in all I'd say it was a 40 dollar dinner that cost 200 bucks.

Incredible service. The food was incredible also. Happy staff and MANY of them, coming from all directions to make sure our dining experience was I Incredible. Which of was. Salute to Tim our head waiter. Homemade cornbread WAS dessert served by accident on purpose mid course.
