We were the first people in the restaurant with a 5 pm reservation. It took about 20 minutes for our table to receive 3 cans of High Noons after being told the flavors we picked were not available. We ordered the sour dough and general Tao cauliflower. The appetizers were the highlight of the night. After an extended wait we received our entrees. 2 people ordered black bean burgers, 1 ordered salmon crudo, 1 ordered chicken yakitori. The burgers were very dry and unseasoned and the avocado on one still had the skin on it. When we asked for condiments, they asked us to check under the bun on the burgers in front of a server to prove we had no condiments, and it took 20 minutes to be told that they did not have mustard as an option. The salmon was not prepared well. The pieces were not completely cut through and appeared to just be thrown onto a plate. At first the chicken appeared to be the only dish that was acceptable. I am now writing this review solely because my friend who ate the chicken is throwing up her meal in the bathroom 6 hours later which is typical for salmonella poisoning. There were other issues as well but those are not as important now. The owner tried to make it up to us with free drinks. That would have stopped us from leaving this review but now we are concerned for the safety of others dining here.

Good food and service. The Valentine's Day menu only had a $24 price at the top; I was shocked to receive a $188 bill. The food and wine was good but certainly not even close to being worth that much based on the quality or quantity. Very deceptive not printing the price on the menu, and even more so to advertise a wine paring as "25" and not a "+25"; I do not plan on returning. There are far better deals in Louisville, and I would suggest any of them above Naive. Poor pricing, decent food, good service.

Food was excellent!! I’m celiac, so it’s a HUGE bonus to have the menu labeled specifically for gluten free items. Love the atmosphere here, very inviting. Our server Bryan took great care of us! Will definitely come back again.

This place never disappoints. 20/10 every time. We’ve opted for one of their tasting menus the last 2 times and we’ll likely continue to do so. The chef clearly has a knack for food combinations. Our first dish tonight contained mushrooms, bleu cheese, and kale- all of which we do not care for- and it was phenomenal. Their cocktails are amazing as well. The menu changes seasonally so make sure to stop in at least once a quarter to check out the new options.

This restaurant was one of the best dining experiences I've enjoyed. The Zen inspired outdoor patio set the mood for a wonderful relaxing date night. The service we received from Sophie was top tier. She was the perfect combination of helpful and attentive and friendly. Can't say enough about how much she added to the evening. And then there's the food! Absolutely the best meal I've had in Louisville this year! And probably the healthiest options you'll find anywhere. We started with the mushroom sliders (one with a garlic toasted GF bun) and WOW! Loaded with so much flavor. I ordered the chicken yakitori with a side of General Tso's cauliflower. The chicken was tender and savory. The cauliflower had some sweetness to it and was absolutely mouth watering. My date had the Tuscan Kale Salad with salmon. He was equally impressed. We both indulged in some of the crafted cocktail offerings. Between the two of us we had the following: Berry Funky Collins, Butchertown Southside and Beet Margaritas. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite, but probably would say the gin Butchertown Southside was the most refreshing. We almost never get dessert but since we were on a roll, ordered the Chia Parsnip Cake. It's GF and like everything else at Naive was delicious! I was over the moon with this experience. Thanks Naive for making the drive from Etown worth it. I will be back!

This place was so amazing, we came for dinner 2 nights in a row. The staff say it’s “vegetable forward,” which is a perfect way to describe it. It’s not super busy on a week night, which is great. We ordered as much as we could between the two nights, but the best thing, hands down, was the General Tso’s cauliflower. I’m going to have to figure out how to make that back home. Also, the fried mushroom slider has a unique combination of textures and tastes that was like heaven in your mouth. We had both the salmon and the bass - both were incredible. Whenever we come back to Louisville, we will definitely be back here.

This is such a beautiful and casual dining experience. The outside patio is beautiful. We enjoyed Father Of the Bride on a gorgeous night while eating dessert. The staff, (Emma) was truly a delight. I highly recommend.

Such a beautiful room, prompt service. We had a drink at the bar while waiting for our thanksgiving catering and it was amazing! Try the Manhattan with ginger. Easy street parking too

Wonderful little spot hidden in the neighborhood. Safe, clean, and very beautiful interior. Service was excellent. The host and waiter were very attentive and polite. The menu is smaller and lacked options in my opinion. The meals also don’t come with any sides so you have to order additionally if you want. They are gluten friendly but not completely gluten free (also lacked options in this space). Over all it’s a good place to go and would recommend it for lighter eaters.

I absolutely love this place! I’ve visited multiple time with friends and family, and each time I’ve left with a great experience. The food is always amazing and my favorite dish on their summer menu is the Burger (pesto mozzarella) and the Life in Plastic gin cocktail. And you can never go wrong with their classic Beet Margarita! Every server I’ve came across was warm and welcoming, and answered any questions I have about the menu. They’ve recently renovated the restaurant and it now gives a classy lounge vibe, but is still down to earth, and they kept the pops of greenery! I love coming to their Movie Night on the patio that happens every Thursday for a selective time in the summer. There are plenty of different sitting options and they serve a special cocktail for the event! Its a good event to take friends and family. I highly recommend dining at Naive!

Naive is an absolute gem! From the cocktails (love the Cool as a Cucumber) to their Lattes (you have to try the Honey Lavender), it is amazing. The vibe is welcoming with a chic Scandinavian color palette, and the staff could not be more friendly! Now on to the food - WOW! The Salmon dish and fingerling potatoes with the paprika aioli are my very favorites (along with everything I've tried), and the General Tso's Cauliflower is a must! Naive is set in a lovely neighborhood in Nulu with other fun shops within walking distance. It should definitely be on the top of your list for your next night out!

Brunch here is super refreshing. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is fun! The roasted apple waffles are just sweet enough with the pepitas for a crunch! The QR code menu was easily accessible with descriptions.

My friends and I have been really looking forward to checking out the restaurant based on the reviews online. But honestly it totally failed us from both the food and the experience we had. It seems that the poor waiter had to serve 8 or 10 tables, which of course was overwhelming. We sat down for about 10 to 15 minutes and the waiter did not bring us a bar code to scan for the menu even after we have asked him to. Then we just looked at the menu from our own phone. Both my friend and I ordered the garden burger and I went for the GF option. Neither of our burgers tasted like there was any mayo on it and even worse, my bun was super dry. I asked the waiter to bring some sauce on the side and he never did. I would say the place is lovely but the food and service we received did not live up to it.

Cute place, very nice patio and delicious healthy food, just watch out -the picnic benches may be wet! Got the greens bowl, General tso’s cauliflower, and golden latte, all was delicious especially the cauli.

Great place to grab a brunch or lunch. The ambiance is very open and relaxed, and the waitress was helpful and friendly. The breakfast burrito was excellent, and while I got normal eggs, they have many vegan and gluten-free options to choose from as well. Nice menu and overall enjoyed my experience here.

This place is super cute and I love how allergen friendly it is! The cocktails are also fun. The food wasn’t amazing, it was kind of bland. My friend said the risotto needed a thicker sauce to avoid being rice.

What an awesome experience! Went here for Burger Week to try their Not Your Typical Burger made with grass fed beef, yuzu koshu aioli, basil relish, and mozzarella, and fries. Taste was excellent! The service by Kate was great as she was very friendly and outgoing. Also loved the decorative, modern and laid back feel of the place.

Great ambience and quiet enough for conversation. We got the omnivore sampler and it was amazing.

This was my first time dining here. It was the day after Labor Day. We were the only people in the restaurant. The service was excellent, very helpful and friendly. We ordered two items off the menu and then a few minutes later the server came back to tell us that those two items were not available. The soba noodles were not seasoned properly. You can use more miso to add body to the dish. Very plain dish. The cauliflower appetizer was very bland. The sauce to go with it was more like a ponzu sauce and didn't help make it any better The fries are from a bag and they were all frozen together top it off. A place like this you would expect them to make their own fries. Having a front of the house line up with management to discuss what's available from the kitchen is key, BEFORE you open your doors. That way the servers know what is on the 86 list and they can inform the customers before they get their hopes up only for the server to eat crow afterwards. Overall it is a nice place but the food needs some work.

This place is beautiful on the inside, such a calm and relaxing presence. It is full of light. Service was also really amazing as well fast. The servers are knowledgeable about the menu. It's important to note, that I went for burger week. I had the beet margarita and the lychee cocktail, both were fine. The beet margarita tends to be the sweetest on the menu, but it is not sweet in my opinion. But please know it has a nice depth in flavor and the beets shine through. If you like spirit forward cocktails, then you will enjoy them, but if you like an overly sweet drink, then I don't think their cocktail menu is for you. The burger and fries were really delicious and the sauces were so yummy. Their seasoning tends to run a little simpler in my opinion, so my palette craved more. I would still get it on the regular full priced menu. I had both the cake and brownie dessert options. The brownie almost had a fudge texture, the chocolate is a very natural flavor, so it may not be for everyone. As for the cake, I only really liked the chocolate Ganache topping and found the cake to be overly firm for me. I would not get it again.

I had the Mimosa flight with the pecan pancake and sunny side up eggs which were delicious. My friends enjoyed their food too. The back patio was lovely.

Absolutely puzzling service: When we arrived, the two of us were the only customers present. It took ten minutes for us to be greeted. We ordered drinks and never saw our waiter again- when we left, thirty minutes had passed without receiving anything. There was a full staff and only one other table by that time.

The atmosphere at this place is wonderful. From the decor, food, and beverage I felt like a queen. Moving on to the service, I felt like family. My server did amazing answering my questions and making me feel heard with my allergies. The bartender made a delicious cocktail (I believe the drink name was called life in plastic)! The entire experience was definitely worth my dollar.

We visited Naive Kitchen + Bar during our little anniversary weekender! This place has such a nice, chill vibe with loads of green plants scattered around, making it feel cozy and refreshing. We had a very picturesque table next to the window and it was absolutely perfect. Now, the food was delicious. The waffles were so yummy and to top it off, they were gluten-free. They had this raspberry reduction that my wife loved. The fingerlings were crispy and packed with flavor. I highly recommend adding an extra egg on top! A huge shout-out to our server, Kate, who was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also gave us some awesome recommendations for things to do in Louisville. She really made our visit extra special. If you're in the area, definitely give Naive Kitchen + Bar a try. You won't be disappointed!

I love this place ! I take everyone in town here because it is friendly to all dietary restrictions! I usually come for brunch but all the food looks amazing!! And they have great outdoor space. Amazing champagne mimosa flight! Highly recommend (pictured sausage sandwich)

We so loved our visit to naive. There were 3 adults and 2 children. Our food was absolutely delicious and was served very quickly. The staff were courteous and attentive. And the atmosphere was excellent. We will definitely be back.

I love the concept of Naive so much that I've given this place 3 tries. The food is creative and tasty but everything else about this place is a mess. Tables are sticky, chairs stained and uncomfortable, wait staff rude and inattentive, and the dirty throw rugs on the ground pose a health and trip hazard. The place would benefit greatly from sounds baffles. If you or anyone in your party has sensory processing issues, this is not the venue for you. I wanted to love this place so much but I just can't.

One of the best dining experiences in town. When I leave here I’m full and feel energetic as everything is prepared wonderfully and is healthy. When the pandemic was at its peak, they catered to the neighborhood with easily accessible food staples and toiletries. The ownership and staff are tremendous stewards of their neighborhood. Every little detail of your experience is thoughtful and executed well. When they had their bodega style shop, they even advertised with painted windows by a well known artist who lived in the neighborhood.

Extremely rude managers. Service was nice food was ok. We were a group of 9 people and had to wait more than 45 minutes for our food. We tried to ask nicely as we had tour reservations but their answer was “you need more than 45 minutes to feed 9 people “. They never got the food together one of us waited till after we paid the bill until they got their food. Will never go back

My daughter clearly told the waitress who asked about allergies she is allergic to tomato and gluten. She was told she could have the breakfast sandwich on gluten free bread. One bite into it she realizes it has a tomato pesto and the pork patty was completely raw. Bright pink pork throughout. 30 minutes throwing up in the bathroom and the waitress tells us she will take the sandwich off our bill. Great. For a restaurant that claims allergy friendly I didn’t get that vibe. Did enjoy the cauliflower and lavender tea before spending the rest of the morning in the bathroom

Went here on a Saturday evening for dinner. They open at 5pm, we got in a few minutes later. A few tables were already occupied. The hostess seated us at table for 2 which was by the bar and their coffee machine. There were a couple of better 4 top tables available which we requested and she refused to give us saying they are RESERVED! We didn't know what to do, didn't want to leave coz I wanted to try the place. We sat at this small table. It was not comfortable. Ordered our food. The Bucatini pasta was ok, could have been better. Also thought the portion was small for the price charged. The crispy skin salmon was delicious. Our server was good. No complaints there. What irks me is that for the entire duration of our dinner the 4 top tables were unoccupied. We could have easily been seated at one of them. Maybe then I would have enjoyed my dinner rather than trying to keep things from falling from my small table. With so many good reviews, expected more from this place. Felt let down.

This was my first time eating here. I had the Naive Burger with Sweet Potato Fries delivered for lunch. The food was hot upon arrival, and it was delicious. I definitely look forward to going back and trying other menu items.
