Two visits in two weeks. Tonight was excellent all the way from delicious meal to wonderful service from Sarah. My salmon croquettes with cream pea sauce was absolutely flavorful as were my country green beans and exceptional tasty and perfectly cooked kale greens. The sweet iced tea was also good. The diner is a bit out of the way for me but will become what I hope will be a weekly visit if the exceptional service and delicious meals continue to be my experience there!

I don’t typically write reviews.. but this diner is the best in Louisville!! Great portions!! Great staff!! Clean!! Reasonable priced!! Great food!! Can’t find all these in one place at Louisville anymore!! I will definitely be coming a lot more!! It will be worth the 45min drive to eat!!

Friendly atmosphere and staff. Quick service and reasonable prices. Food was okay. Chicken N Dumplings were amazing. Frisco burger was great but others were just okay. Cornbread was yummy. Would try again but something different. Chicken Potpie and Chef Salad looked AMAZING when they went by. HUGE portions btw. The spaghetti pictured is a kids meal.

This is a hidden gem that came up on my Google search today. I have driven near the Diner weekly and was unaware of their location, great service and delicious food. I ordered online for pickup and everything was great. Thanks! 😋

This place was just crazy tonight on Valentine's day! But it was carry out that was the most nuts. I sat at the counter so I wouldn't take a table from any love birds. Brian busted butt to take care of the counter diners and manage the carry out orders waiting for pickup. He did a great job and even apologized to us for not being able to spend more time and chat. The food was reasonably priced and was all American comfort foods with a special take on them. I recommend the chicken fried steak. I never had it served like that before and I will not ruin it for you.

I had a Goose creek Hot brown. It was awesome. The service was fast the food was hit. I also stuck around long enough to check other people's meals. Everything I saw looked really good. Wish hadn't been alone. Would be nice to try a little of everything. Mind you, this is only the lunch serving. Dinner is bigger.

I gave a 4 star rate instead of 5 because the restaurant could've been cleaner. It wasn't nasty though. The food & service on the other hand were GREAT!!! I have always wanted to like fried green tomatoes but up till now I never liked them from anywhere I tried them except for here!!! They were amazing!!! Plain, with ranch, or with their other sauce, I absolutely loved them!! I wanted our waitress to compliment the cook for me but he was close by & heard me & was nice enough to tell me how he makes them!! Talk about service!! All the food was great but my favorite was the fried green tomatoes!! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!!!

Overall I would eat here again. The omelette bar looked great, but had little time to eat so had to skip. Everything was great except the scrambled eggs, it was almost like to much milk was added, they had a texture of creamy mashed potatoes. Was not expecting that. Hopefully it was just an error with that batch.

Disappointed to learn they no longer have weekend brunch menu because they did an amazing stuffed french toast - they do offer a bunch buffet on Sunday - but they're lunch menu is still worthy of notice. I went with the fresh fried chicken (expect to wait at least 15 mins for them to prepare it) and fried green tomatoes. Always follow up with one of the desserts in the display case. My server, Isabella was friendly and efficient. I've never had a bad experience at GCD and I've been dropping in for well over 35 yrs.

Was there 3/26 for Saturday lunch. Got the meatloaf plate. Was cold !! Also got the fried catfish. The fish was good,fries were cold, cornbread dry ! Food quality has gone way down. Restaurant could use an all store clean up. I know you can do better Chris!

Went to Brendan’s catch 23 last night and spent $400 for dinner—Should have come to Goose Creek Diner and gave the chef $500 for their food. Was fantastic!! Best place in Louisville without a doubt. Fried green tomatoes, perfect. Cornbread, fabulous. Salisbury steak unique and outrageously good. Spend your time here instead of those places downtown charging over priced meals. This is the best kept secret of Louisville.

This is a pretty good diner, they made me a solid Hot Brown. I also had chicken livers for the first time here, and I definitely enjoyed them. Great place to bring the family.

Simple down home cooking with adequate portions. People who eat here keep coming back...it's good! They serve cornbread on the side with your meal thats lightly sweet like Jiffy mix, but better texture and tasting. The fried chicken has good crust, not highly seasoned but crispy like mom's. If you like liver and onions, one slice with a side will fill you up. For a little more, two slices are available. Oh, the sweet tea is brewed too. Excellent! I wouldn't call Goose Creek upscale but down home and the locals know it...try it.👍

A lot of good choices on the menu, I ended up getting the catfish. It was decent, fries were good. The wait staff was very nice and friendly, I'd go back and try something different next time for sure

Very good down home cooking and atmosphere. Served with great service and a friendly server which told us the specials. Ordered our entrees and tasted both the fish and chips and the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans (with the pork and onions). Had to take leftovers home. Second time going to this place over a few years and it's improved significantly.

Wonder service, believe our waiters name was Brian. Food was great. Best chicken livers I've ever had, cooked perfect. Building a tad outdated, but they are moving to a different location soon

Love everything about Goose Creek Diner, their food is home cooked perfection. Their Sunday brunch with made to order specialties including omelets and crepes is one of the best and most reasonable in Louisville.

Wonderful outing with husband. I had been in hospital and craved fried green tomatoes. Heard this was the place to go. Well the fried green tomatoes at the Goose Creek Diner, were absolutely delicious. So delicious, I took an order home. Oh yes everything we ordered was fantastic and the helpings were large too!

We were greeted and seated appropriately. Wait staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good and attractively served. However, the walls above our booth were covered in dust and dirt as was the ceiling, particularly around the vents. The dust was clinging to the walls with occasional remnants hanging. Long remnants hung from the ceiling. I would gladly return if the place was cleaned.

I recently had lunch with Goose Creek Eatery (the new location) and it was the same great experience except in a newer setting. The new restaurant environment was cool, service by Stacy was great and my salad was excellent.
