I was left speechless by how delicious the food was. Besides the food, customer care and service came natural with our server Nick. He was kind, knew the menu, and made us feel at home. Great job Nick! Great job to the kitchen! Thanks for the great meal

The chicken lived up to the hype! Very well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The chicken sandwich was solid and very flavorful. The fries were a bit over seasoned but the seasoning they chose was delicious and I wasn't mad at all about it. Loved the dipping sauce too. The Mac and cheese was fantastic and if I could I'd dive into a pool of that stuff. I asked for a classic old fashioned and it was delicious as well!

Cool bar for southern food and a great place to watch a game. The hush puppies are great. Highly recommend the Mac and cheese too. The service is a bit slow. Took almost 20 minutes to get our drink order and an hour to very clean, spacious!

During our stay to Kentucky my fiancé and o wanted to try actual “Kentucky Fried Chicken”. Some locals recommended the Eagle so we made the trip over. The staff was friendly along with our server. The food was EXCELLENT! We ordered a variety of items and each was very good! I’ve never really been a fried chicken person but can’t wait to visit the Eagle again next time we’re in town.

Food is so good and for good price. Got the half bird, BLT chicken sandwich with sides of Mac n cheese and cornbread. The Mac n cheese is probably the best one I’ve had. It’s so creamy. And the cornbread is rlly good too. Chicken and nice and tender and juicy and the blt chicken sandwich was nice and crispy

Stopped by to try a near place when driving through. Overall, good experience. Atmosphere is unique and fun. Half of the beer taps were out. Small menu but really great food choices. The Mac and cheese was fantastic and the fried chicken sandwich was awesome.i ordered a large salad and it was 95% greens and then a few toppings … this is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

Amazing food. Was in town for a show at the expo center, and was the first place we found open after 10PM. Man did we luck out...food is excellent!! Update: we tried several restaurants in the area while we were in town. The food here topped all the other places, so we headed back here on our last night in town. The corn bread and hush puppies were amazing!!

This was our first time eating at the Eagle after seeing it previously in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis—and WOW, were we impressed!! We ordered the hush puppies and spicy chicken dip (it had a good kick…too much for our kids, but perfect for dad!) as appetizers. Both were excellent, the hush puppies were especially good and flavorful. For the main meal, we ordered the whole fried chicken, fries, macaroni and cheese, spoon bread, and coleslaw. The chicken was unbelievably tasty, moist, and crunchy. The mac and cheese had a crunchy bread crumb topping which added an excellent texture to the dish. The fries were well cooked and flavorful. The spoon bread came warm in a skillet with a large amount of maple buttery goodness, which complimented the bread perfectly. The coleslaw was fresh, but a little dry and not very flavorful—we would probably not order it again. If in the area and looking for fried chicken—this place is a must!

All right, this place is awesome, super friendly staff and great atmosphere. I had the old fashioned, 1/4 chicken (dark meat), and collards. It was good portion size but if I were hungrier I probably would’ve gotten the 1/2 chicken. You can tell the chicken, breading and frying were well cared for. Even the chef/cook, I believe his name was Jarvis, came out and asked what I thought and what he can do to improve it. That’s how much this place values their food and service. I honestly wouldn’t change a thing, that’s how good it was. I also liked the fact the honey was separate from the chicken and you can add as much of it or as little as you desire. Will definitely be coming back here again.

Eagle's Chicken in Louisville, Kentucky, is a true hidden gem! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with the enticing aroma of their famous fried chicken. The crispy golden exterior and tender, flavorful meat inside made for a truly heavenly combination. The menu offers a variety of mouthwatering options, and I must say, each dish was executed to perfection. The homemade sides, like the creamy mac and cheese and the mouthwatering cornbread, were the perfect complement to the chicken. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout the meal. Eagle's Chicken is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious comfort food in a cozy setting. If you're in Louisville, don't miss the chance to indulge in their finger-licking-good chicken – you won't be disappointed!

Firstly Travis was awesome and made our time there great ! The chicken was juicy and flavorful . Perfectly seasoned and cooked . I had the 1/2 chicken and she got the chicken sandwich. Possibly best cooked chicken in the city. The Mac and cheese was good and so were the fries. The homemade biscuits stole the show. We have some honey butter and Travis told us try them with the maple butter as well. Those things tasted like a dessert instead of a biscuit . They were almost cake like. Study and most and both butters went crazy with the biscuit. It’s a must try. This place is definitely somewhere people should try

Went there yesterday for the first time. It was an overall great experience. Some of the best fried chicken in Louisville. The drinks were also pretty good. I tried the fried chicken sandwich, and I will definitely be back for it. A shout out also for our server, Teddy, who knows the menu and helped us navigate it.

This place is awesome. Food is absolutely incredible and very reasonably priced. Some of the best fried chicken I've had. Get the hush puppies w/extra comeback sauce. Andrea took great care of us.

The Eagle that we ate at was located by TopGolf at Oxmoor!!!! Wonderful new restaurant for you to try!! Great food, service and atmosphere... Chris was our server and did a great job!! Very personable/friendly and attentive to us... The entrees mostly consist of chicken, and the sides are shareable. Very generous portions! Pictured is the Fried Chicken BLT, Half of a Chicken, Macaroni 'n Cheese and French Fries. Southern comfort food!! Give it a try....

Staff were great and friendly, and had our order out pretty quick. Without a reservation, the wait time for a table was over an hour but we were able to walk up to the bar and get started, so that was great. The food was amazing, the chicken is fantastic and everything was just super flavorful and well done. Definitely exceeded my expectations, we were extremely pleased with everything and recommend it to anyone!

The food here was fantastic! The best fried chicken I've had in Louisville. Tender, juicy, crispy, with a delicious seasoning. The spicy honey they serve to dip the chicken in is the perfect pairing. The mac & cheese was creamy, and flavorful. The spoonbread flavor and texture was spot on. The collard greens were cooked just right and were seasoned super well. My complaints would be we waited close to 10 minutes to have a drink order taken, over 10 minutes after that our server brought 1 beer and said they were out of the other. He took over 5 minutes to bring the menu back for me to look and then after ordering I didn't get my drink til at least 25 minutes after that. We had been there close to an hour if not an hour and I still had no drink. By that time someone brought our food out. They forgot my chicken, so when the server finally came back, still with no beer or my chicken, he went to go get it. He came back around 5 minutes later with my beer and the wrong chicken. I ordered white meat and he gave me dark. I ended up eating it just because it had been such an ordeal waiting for food and drinks, I didn't want to wait any longer. I loved the food so much that I will get carry out, but I'm not dining in again. When you spend that much, you expect better service. Update: this time the food was fantastic as it was last time. The slaw was very acidic/had more of a vinegar taste, so keep that in mind. I lowered my stars this time because we were rushed out of the restaurant. I totally get wanting to turn over a table, but coming to the table every 2 minutes to ask for the order, then every 3 or 4 minutes after the food comes, then dropping off the check and coming by every minute or 2.. not cool. It's not all about turning over the table. It is also about customer experience. Them being able to eat and enjoy the time with the people they are with. Which we couldn't because we were rushed and interrupted the whole time.. Family from out of town that I rarely see, and to be rushed the whole time was ridiculous. I gave dining in another chance, but it wasn't worth it to me. Maybe consider a bigger venue if you are that pressed to turn over tables.

Other google reviews brought me here. Low health department ratings 😵‍💫. The food was just ok. Maybe if it was fresh it would have been better. Only thing seemed cooked to order was the appetizer hush puppies. Sides not included with entree. Most sides are $5-10. The chicken was lukewarm and the sides. I sent the Mac and cheese back. Shrimp and grits were cold. I would probably go back for drinks and a chicken Sandwich since most ppl were ordering sandwiches. There is a long wait if you don’t have reservations on weekends.

Service was GREAT. The atmosphere was cool. The food was meh. As someone who cooks a lot of soul food and eats a lot of soul food....I am keen to flavor. The greens tasted like they bathed in vinegar. Entirely too much vinegar. I couldn't taste the meat in the greens because of the vinegar. I would definitely tone down the vinegar in that pot liquor, add a little more meat and some heat. The macaroni. Well, it tastes like Velveeta macaroni with bread crumbs on top. The cheese is more of a runny sauce..not a gooey cheesy flavor/consistency. The cornbread needs a little sugar in the batter to take away the stark flavor of the cornmeal. The sweet potatoes. Hmmm, those too need some flavor..try adding some cinnamon, a little nutmeg, and brown sugar. The fried boneless breast was great. My husband found the skin on his chicken to be fatty, and it kinda just slid off the meat. So....would we go back? No. Do I recommend you go? Well, if you're going for soul food purposes, ....read my review again and see if you want to take a chance. If you're going there to eat something, I did not mention. GO. TRY IT. I can't knock anyone for food I haven't eaten. If you go, post a review, I'll keep checking and maybe will return based upon your experience.

The server had a ? Cold. Congested runny nose. No mask. Unappealing! Tha appetizer was brown sugar bacon. Not warm like I expected. A so so item. We had fried chicken was several sides. It was warm and tasty, though, the sides were small if you had more than two people See photos for more table items. Not on my return list.

What a great restaurant with a beautiful design and delicious food! Our server Mike with the gnarly ponytail was very attentive and provided great recommendations. He even brought me extra aioli to bring home with my leftovers. Our table started with pickled green beans and a round of beer. Solid beer selection. The green beans were super tart and a bit spicy. I loved them. We ordered half a fried chicken which two people shared. I had the fried chicken sandwich which was really good. Chicken breast was lightly breaded, slaw creamy and tangy and the bread soft yet butter toasted. For sides we had fries, Mac and cheese and grits. Mac and cheese had a really nice cheese flavor, not fake cheese like most places. Grits were served nice and hot with a nice depth of flavor. French fries were good not great. Overall a great experience!

Best fried chicken I ever had! I never expected you add spicy honey which it makes more yummy. Also I do enjoy the hushpuppies with comeback sauce and also the Mac and cheese. I do enjoy the Old Fashioned cocktail a lot! I will love to come back again with friends or family.

Always order the Chicken BLT sandwich and a side of the amazing panko crusted homemade mac n' cheese and you'll always leave happy! Lots of great beers on tap too. A+

The chicken could have been crispier, and I wasn’t in love with their mashed potato’s (too chunky). Everything else was delicious though! The hot honey to pour on the chicken was soooo yummy, the collards were perfect, and their sausage and kale dip was excellent. The service was great too. I would absolutely come back!

This was my first stop in Louisville and really satisfied my craving for fried chicken. Our server/bartender was really helpful and brought our food out unusually fast. The chicken tasted fresh and delicious, only down side was the sides were luke warm. Other than that though it everything was great, I even told my coworkers to check it out when they get a chance due to the delicious food.

Visited Louisville for the first time for only a few hours so I knew I only had so much time to get the most authentic fried chicken in town. I was happy to discover my research was not in vain after trying the amazing food they serve here. My highest recommendation has to be the corn bread and the mac and cheese, they were some if the most delicious dishes I’ve had in years!

Ok going out on a limb.. The Eagle has the BEST fried chicken in the universe end of discussion. The drinks were large and crafted well.. side dishes all would have stood on their own. Spoon bread, succotash, coleslaw all of it was very good. Lee our waiter and the young ladies helping him were funny engaging and above all intelligent. I think it needs to be a must for anyone visiting Kentucky, it is a jewel.

11-29-22 about 6pm: Great little spot. Our waitress Lucy was fantastic. I tried several things out to review. -Brown Sugar bacon was good. I like these better when little warmer as they came out around room temperature. -Hushpuppies were fantastic, loved them. -5 Drumsticks were delicious. Perfect flavor and crunch. -Mac n Cheese was pretty good. -Spoon Bread was ok for me. Overall Highy Recommended!

I heard they were known for their fried chicken so I stopped in to try it. The white meat chicken was moist and the Cole slaw side was good. The mashed potatoes side was too garlicy though. Definitely worth the whole to stop in!

Mike with the sick ponytail was amazing!!! We were from out of town and the food was slow coming out but Mike was great, super knowledgeable and kept us in the loop about when our food would arrive. Food was some of the best I’ve ever had and very much well worth the wait!! Highly recommend.

Went for late night dinner with the family. We’ve had collards from all over the country. These were top 3 for sure! Delicious Mac and cheese, great muffin bread, incredible spicy chicken dip, great cocktail, full bourbon menu and AMAZING honey. Like legit I am super upset I didn’t know earlier in the meal how incredibly it was. It’s spicy and light and sweet. Super super good pick for high quality, southern comfort food with modern flare. Also from the hostess to our phenomenal server all around excellent atmosphere and service. I would give this place a 6/5 star if I could.

We were in town for a concert and we always like to try out new places. This was a super cute place. The food was on point, and the waiter-Mike- was excellent!! The chicken was off the chain! The sides are made for sharing- we had fries, Mac n cheese, and sweet potato casserole. We also had biscuits which the kids ate up!! Definitely worth the stop!!
