This place does not deserve the good reviews. Don’t get me wrong, the food’s not terrible, it’s just wildly over priced for what it is. I’ve had much better food at restaurants in far bigger and pricier cities for less money. Do yourself a favor and buy some good quality meat, a cast iron, and stay home. The side dishes are pretty much staple with nothing to creative or interesting. We got the fries and zucchini with our steaks.. they weren’t bad, just not worth the price. The zucchini was somehow offensively over seasoned and not flavorful at the same time. I really don’t understand the huge markup, my only guess is that there isn’t much competition near by.

I was super excited for this place. First time coming here for our Valentines Day dinner. I will say it was definitely overpriced. The steak didn’t “pop” like I was expecting it to. My wife’s steak was wrong twice & mine was wrong once. The portions are very low. The steaks don’t come with sides so you have to buy them separately, which is where it gets pricey. Our waitress was sooo nice though. The salad & Lobster Ravioli were good but again, portions were too small for the price. More than likely won’t be back unfortunately. Update 5/1/2022. Was told I would get a gift card due to the last experience but never got it.

The food here is amazing. The steak bacon is one of the best appetizers In existence. Worth a try if you’ve never been. The steaks all smelled fabulous. We tried the dry aged KC strip. It was well marbled and full of flavor. The butter on top was just enough to soften the charred edges. The sides were great as well. You can easily split a side with another person. The Brussels sprouts are cooked with bacon. They’re good, but not as sweet as I was expecting. As for desert save room for the lava cake but be sure to tell your waiter/ waitress ahead of time- they make it to order so they need 15 minutes. 10/10 would do again.

I absolutely love this place! It is upscale and with that comes a higher price range, but I can assure you it is Worth Every Dollar! The wait staff is amazing. Extremely generous and knowledgeable about every aspect of their menu. The cocktails are 🥰 Get the hibiscus drink. You will love it. And I'm going to say it...it's the best steak in Louisville. My boyfriend got the NY Strip and I got the Cajun Ribeye with the peppercorn sauce. I try to go for every important dinner.

This was my second time at Morton's and I was pretty disappointed when comparing it to my past experience. My steak was burnt on the top, which is upsetting given it was so much money. If I splurge on an expensive dinner again, it will not be here. Fries were good, bacon wrapped scallops were good but for that price my entire meal should've been delicious. Too much of a gamble to spend so much money then not get top chef quality food. You can hardly complain about a steak as Morton's has a time limit on how long you can stay so complaining about your steak means your partner either waits for their food to get cold or eat without you.

Had a stunning time Saturday night. Food and atmosphere is phenomenal and the drinks are delicious. Special shout-out to our waiter, Timothy, who was welcoming, friendly, and generally fantastic with his service. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Great experience! The steaks and lobster cooked per our request. My guest and I had royal service from our server (Megan) with a visit from the bartender to answer questions about a few drinks and our water glasses never went empty. We drank some water with our prefect bar and dessert beverages.

Fantastic atmosphere at Morton's Steakhouse tonight. With great friends and family! When you come in from the outside you walk into a small foyer, then through another door and short hallway to another door. Honestly it takes you back in time as if it were the 1920s or 30s. It's a really cool eclectic steakhouse. Wasn't able to look around at pictures like I wanted to because we were running late. But it's got a great vibe! The whose who have all been there and no telling what went on there back in the day and the deals that were made at those tables.

Great food and environment . May be the best servers that have ever served me. They used teamwork and made sure we were good at all times. It’s pricey but delicious . Top 3 steak in Louisville . I had the New York strip with Gouda potatoes au gratin . My girl got the steak and lobster Oscar. We had the bacon wrapped mozzarella for appetizer and the 3 scoop sundae was a complimentary dessert for my birthday . All the food was delicious

The service is bar none best hands down. Our waiter, Alex, was on point. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. It was our anniversary, and they had the menus modified to say "Happy Anniversary" and the date. Top notch attention. And little happy anniversary with hearts confetti on the table. This place is a class act that will be hard to compete with!!

I have had great experiences at Morton's before the pandemic, but last night, the food was good, the drinks were great, but we waited 18 minutes before a waiter brought us a menu and water. We had a 6:45 reservation and they had ran out of bread. We ordered drinks, an appetizer and soup. The drinks arrived at a decent time, but we waited 25 minutes for soup and the appetizer, in another 20 minutes for our dinner. Our waiter was nice, I think that he needed help and the kitchen staff also needed assistance. The pandemic has hurt a lot of businesses.

For the past 4 years, my husband and I have celebrated our anniversary here and have zero intentions of changing this. They pull out all the stops to make your occasion feel extremely special. Our table had "happy anniversary" confetti, customized anniversary menus, and they also offered to take our photo and put it on the table for us PLUS offered us a complimentary dessert for choosing them to celebrate it with them. I had the filet and lobster tail with the lobster mac. It was DELICIOUS, and I even had leftovers. The creme brulee is my favorite dessert, but their chocolate cake was also fantastic! You can't go wrong with Morton's!

Great experience as expected from Morton’s. I am usually in the CLE location as I am from Ohio. Wanted to come here after a long day of travels and was not disappointed. Food was excellent and the service provided by Tiffany was outstanding. Will be back in the future!

Morton's The Steakhouse in Louisville is a classic American steakhouse with a focus on high-quality ingredients and attentive service. The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Louisville, and its elegant atmosphere makes it a perfect place for a special occasion meal. I recently had the opportunity to dine at Morton's Louisville, and I was very impressed with the overall experience. I started my meal with the lobster bisque, which was rich and flavorful. The bisque was perfectly seasoned and contained generous chunks of lobster meat. For my main course, I ordered the Cajun ribeye. The steak was cooked to perfection and was incredibly juicy and tender. The Cajun seasoning added a nice kick of flavor without being overpowering. I also ordered a side of creamed spinach, which was creamy and delicious. For dessert, I shared the chocolate lava cake with my friend. The lava cake was warm and gooey on the inside and was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was the perfect way to end a delicious meal. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He made sure to check in on us frequently and offered recommendations for food and wine pairings. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at Morton's The Steakhouse in Louisville. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was elegant and inviting. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special occasion meal. **Special mention:** * Cajun ribeye: The Cajun seasoning added a nice kick of flavor without being overpowering. The steak was cooked to perfection and was incredibly juicy and tender. * Lobster bisque: Rich and flavorful, with generous chunks of lobster meat. If you're looking for a classic American steakhouse experience, Morton's The Steakhouse in Louisville is a great option.

This was our second year of having Thanksgiving dinner at Morton’s. All the food was prepared exactly as we asked and the taste was beyond comparison to any other restaurant in the city. Our server Sydney was impeccable and went over and above to make sure we enjoyed our experience and our meal at Morton’s.

Atmosphere, service, and staff is great. However the food was just OK. Sides were bland and not worth price. Steak w/ truffle butter was great. Crusted Salmon was just OK as well.

Had a great evening, and I will definitely go back when in Louisville again. Our waitress, Jennifer, was exceptional, as was the bartender Brandon. They both took very good care of our party, and we appreciated that very much.

They made our experience fantastic. We were there celebrating our 25th anniversary. The menus were personalized. They took our picture and put it in a folder that said Happy Anniversary. The waitress welcomed us by name. The service was great. The waitress was informative. The food was great. I hope we are back in the Louisville area again to be able to stop back.

I had a really good experience at Morton's. My server was very knowledgeable and recommended the perfect steak. The ambience was great for the special celebration that I attended and I would visit again if I'm ever in the area.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Morton's The Steakhouse in Louisville, KY and it was truly an outstanding experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was great with calm and dark lighting that created a cozy and sophisticated atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and attentive throughout the evening, making sure that we had everything we needed and were comfortable. But what really stole the show was the food. I opted for the lobster tail and wagyu steak, and they were both cooked to perfection. The lobster tail was juicy and flavorful, and the wagyu steak was one of the best I've ever had. The meat was so tender and it had a great flavor that worked well as a surf and turf option with the lobster tail. The quality of the food was impressive and definitely worth the price. Overall, I highly recommend Morton's The Steakhouse in Louisville for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Food, delicious. (Cameron) Service, on point. (thanks Liza) Atmosphere....extremely loud. To the point you have to yell to talk to one another. We couldn't believe how loud it was. Everyone was laughing and yelling the entire night so loudly to overcome everyone else's volume. Desert was good but honestly it's exactly the same lava cake as Dominos pizza. Also, the Bourbon selection was not great. So if you like a really good Bourbon like me...look elsewhere. Hats off though to Liza for for the friendly service which we enjoyed very much. If it wasn't for her service and smile we probably would have not stayed for the entire meal. Also to Cameron for making our Filets to perfection.

Birthdays are fun to celebrate! But our friends birthday he first receives his drink in a broken glass. He did not like the lobster mac and cheese. You could tell it was very dry when it came to the table. Our steaks were burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. How is that possible? The guy in the kitchen was chewing on his fingernails. Chewing on a rag. Fixing his ponytail and touching pans. He even wiped his nose. I dunno bout. Anyone else but if you go to an over priced fancy restaurant you do not wanna see people cooking and chewing on their finger nails. I'm no chef but even I know better. Best part of this experience was time well spent with my friends!

I’ve been to this establishment at least 3x prior to my coming tonight, and I must say the new manager in training, Sydney, is amazing. I was celebrating graduating with my doctorate, and it was very important for me to enjoy my time. She made sure to do just that. We had a minor issue with our food and she made to correct it immediately. She consistently made sure we were enjoying our experience. I am excited to come back to see her and celebrate more important moments in my life—such a great addition to the team.

I had a 7:30pm reservation, I arrived 10 minutes early and I was seated right away. I ordered oyster rockafeller, bone in Ribeye with sour cream mashed potatoes. From the time I walked in to the time I walked out, everything was amazing. My waitress Meagan was awesome and extremely attentive to her diners. The food was prepared to perfection. Everything was delicious. Good job Mortons!

Had dinner there last night before the show at Kentucky Center for the Arts. Our server Emily was amazing! She understood we didn't have much time before the show. We arrived at 6:05 pm and wished to be finished by 7:10 at the latest. I can't wait to go back and enjoy the full fine dining experience. The food is unmatched. I had a special Cajun ribeye, and my friend had crab cakes.

Only great thing was water glases were never empty. I get much better seasoned and cooked steak. I guess they were trying to "char" but it just didn't do it for me. The flavor just wasn't there. The "shareable" lobster Mac was over priced and definitely not a shareable size. I'll gladly go to a different steak house that isn't over priced.

We are here for a birthday dinner on 12/17 and Darrel was our server. I am pretty sure he was in training still but he was excellent. Explained the entire menu to us since this was our first time at Morton’s. He was personable and very friendly and helpful. The food was also outstanding but the service made the dinner. Will be returning soon!
