We Googled and decided to go. The food is creole based and delicious! Another first visit for us. The menu offers good selections. And I had a perfect Bloody Mary. The GM came out to check on us and the staff is very friendly. Selena’s was a great find!

I’m giving this place a 2 ⭐️ Was passing through Kentucky and my mouth was watering for GUMBO… The GUMBO is out of a Campbell soup can, shrimp so small I needed a Microscope to find any. The roux was awful and had no seasoning and no crab or mussels, who serves GUMBO with no cornbread? My husband got the Chicken Parmesan which was a great big portion but lacked seasoning. The atmosphere was very nice in the restaurant and our waiter was 5⭐️

Found this place years ago on a work trip. It's delicious. Today was no exception. Thought I ordered blackened chicken Alfredo. Turned out it was blackened shrimp. It was great! Cozy environment like eating on your patio at home. Nice fish pond. Recommend!

Off the beaten path, cute, little restaurant, beautiful patio setting with a water feature. Great service. Fried green tomatoes (good-a bit greasy, under seasoned), chicken/sausage gumbo (okay-on the spicy side) & charcuterie plate (nice-warm brie, cheese, salami, fruit, toasted slices of baguette), bourbon cocktail (v/good). Will try again.

Sat outside on a beautiful afternoon, great relaxing vibe. Enjoyed such good meals and grea service, thank you Andrew! Highly recommend the Tavern Salad, and 1979 Salad (dressings made in house, and plenty of protiens and veggies) and the fish fingers app. We left full and happy 👍

Finally tried Selena's for my wife's birthday and glad we did! A wonderful little place. We had reservations, we're greeted by a very friendly hostess and promptly seated. It's a very cozy atmosphere and a place where you can dress up, or be casual. A nice selection of tasty sounding items on the menu, so deciding was a challenge. We had the calamari for an appetizer. Very nice. My wife chose the corn flake encrusted house made fish sticks, I chose one of the daily specials which was a blackened redfish with grilled asparagus and red beans and rice. Very nice portions, absolutely delicious! We are already planning our next visit to introduce my in-laws coming in from Illinois. Our waitress was on point. Very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable answering all the questions we threw at her. Thanks for a lovely evening. Oh yeah, they also treated us to a complimentary desert for my wife's birthday. We chose the banana foster. I'm still drooling it was so good. Give it a try. I think you will be glad you did!

Lived in Middletown/ Anchorage my entire life and witnessed the opening of Selena’s years ago but never tried it despite passing it probably hundreds of times. It’s me and my girlfriends five year anniversary and I couldn’t think of anywhere better and closer to visit. While it was cold the outside seating still impressed and was a nice view to look at while we ate-looking out the window of course. My fried catfish was great. Fries were a little underdone. In my opinion the cole slaw could have Been better but that’s different everywhere you go. The crab and shrimp appetizer was great. Overall I feel that I paid for GREAT service and a beautiful atmosphere. I’m surprised this was my first visit. It won’t be my last. Our server was Deron he was super fast, friendly and accommodating in every way possible.

Well I came out here just because I was hungry and Google recommended it. And OHBOI did Google recommend good things indeed! Their pasta was incredible and delicious, al dente, so they know a thing or two about cooking. Not only that but the staff was gentle, attentive, and on point. No unnecessary table visits, were intuitive for when I needed something, and comprehensive to have my personal needs and requests fulfilled (I'm super lactose intolerant and they met and exceeded my expectations). Food's incredible, staff is amazing, wine variety is superb.... What else do i need? Thank you guys!

ordered a carry out order and they messed up my order terribly. i paid for chicken and waffles and only got a waffle no chicken. $18 for one waffle? and then ordered a biscuit and gravy meal and got two biscuits. no gravy. staff was nice, but how do you mess up on one order that bad. receipt even says the correct items ordered.

Brian was our server. He was excellent! He was friendly and efficient. As always the food was cooked to perfection. This time I had the blackened salmon special w/dirty rice and the grilled vegetables were squash, zucchini and carrots. It was a perfect day to sit outside on the patio under the umbrella by the Koi pond!

Great experience. Beautiful place to eat. Bryan took very good care of us, making fantastic recommendations and being patient with indecision. We had the chicken diablo, which was so delicious. The sauce it comes with stood out. The complimentary bread we got... That butter is just perfect. My boyfriend ordered the spinach lasagna and absolutely loved it. I had the 1979 salad with Caesar and blackened salmon and I cannot recommend the salmon enough. We rounded everything off with a key lime pie, fresh and tasty! Definitely will be back.

This place never lets me down. At this point, I've had almost everything on their menu. The specials are always good to check and hit solid no matter your selection. For a light but filling lunch, I would recommend the 1979 salad. Never let's me down and never leave me wanting more. Their servers are spot on timing and service regardless of who I get.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! It was awesome. The atmosphere is great. The food is amazing, and the service is excellent. If you go, ask for Denise. She is the best.

This place never disappoints! From the service to the food to the atmosphere, everything is always perfect. We had the biscuits and gravy and the chicken and waffles and it was perfect! Highly recommended if you’re looking for a great brunch spot.

The hostess was super nice when i arrived. The waiter started out a bit rough and rude but over time he softened up and was kinda nice. The food was good and tasty but absolutley nothing special. I had the stuffed mushroom appetizer and for dinner i chose the jambalaya and a side of brussel sprouts. The brussels were the best part of the meal.

Reservations are highly suggested. I didn’t have them but was able to sit in the bar area. It’s crazy busy in there but my food was delicious and came out super hot. I personally don’t think they are too pricey. We got a lot of food! It’s definitely not ihop.

Not bad! I went because I had a gift card. My favorite dish was the stuffed mushroom caps appetizer. The rest of the food was unfortunately a bit disappointing for the cost. The dirty rice and the etouffee were both incredibly too sweet with too much green bell pepper in my opinion. The portion sizes were impressive though. And the bread pudding was AMAZING. I'm considering going back just for dessert. The service was stellar. Our server was friendly and upbeat, and helpful in suggesting his personal favorite dishes to try. He kept our drinks topped off for our entire stay. He was also very fast with bringing things we asked for and bringing our check at the end. The person parking cars, however, parked another car so close to my dad's car that none of us could get in the driver side. I had to get in the passenger side and climb over the console into the driver's seat. The cars were less than 2 feet apart. Overall it's worth going if you've got a gift card. I'll probably pass otherwise. Too much money for the experience.

Great place to eat. The food was solid. The place gives you 3-4 different atmospheres to choose from. Bar-indoor seating-outdoor seating. The service slowed up a bit but probably because it filled up as we were eating. Would absolutely eat here again.

Love love love this place. I had never been but several of our residents at Anthology Senor Living in the past have been regulars of this local favorite. I can absolutely see why the inside was very cozy and comfortable. I would have preferred to sit out on the patio, but many of the residents were afraid it would be too chilly on this nice fall day. We had excellent service. The food was divine! The server recommended the daily special which was jumbo shrimp with lobster cream sauce served over Penny pasta with mushrooms, spinach, and onions. The warm crusty bread was a perfect addition. And everyone enjoyed their food. I was honestly having difficulty deciding as there were many things on the menu that were of great interest to me. I usually don't find that and oftentimes have a hard time picking something just because nothing looks good. This was quite the opposite. Thank you for a lovely lunch and I will be back!

The best wait staff in Louisville. Our brunch was delicious. Recommend the Eggs Sardou. Unique hash browns that are the best I have tasted. Concerning online reservations using this Google Maps Online Reservation, don’t use. It was not an issue, but the Host had no record of our reservation for 10:30. We were seated immediately, but if it had been 30 minutes later it would have been an issue.

Red beans and rice was great. Shrimp and grits needed a little more seasoning but added salt and pepper and it was much better. Good service. Sat inside but the patio area looked really nice. We will be back.

This is my favorite brunch spot in town! I've been several times for brunch and the food is alway amazing. I ordered the chiefs choice omelet with the hash brown mix and we got the Praline Brie appetizer. Additionally, on Saturdays and Sundays they have 2 dollar mimosa or peach billinis. Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time, they getting pretty crowded for brunch time (10 am to 2 PM), if not they might not have seating.

My husband and I are from out of state and found this restaurant when searching for something for dinner. We are happy we came here. We both ordered the etouffee and then bananas foster for dessert. Service was quick and everything tasted great!

Selena's has great food, chill environment on the patio. Denise was our waitress and was wonderful. We had 7 people and were very needy and she was perfect. We will be back.

As an out of towner on business this place is really quite amazing versus some other areas that I have travelled to in the Midwest. The atmosphere is simply “cool” and COORS on TAP!…amazing…and the food outstanding…when in the Louisville area be sure try Selena’s! Bar staff (Christian) is very genuine and friendly and makes one feel really welcome. Thanks to the chefs too!

The food is good. Blackened shrimp Alfredo pasta was great (could easily be shared with someone), the seafood chowder was flavorful and very filling for a bowl size. The bread pudding was ok. Tastes like a basic bread pudding. It was a large portion enough to share with 2-3 people. A bit expensive, but I guess the price reflects the people who live in Anchorage maybe. It was a nice experience for one time. So maybe come here, get a soup and share a dinner plate with someone. If you want a really amazing bread pudding with a crunchy texture and not so soaked, try Doc Crow's bread pudding. I swear it's the best and the consistency or texture of the inside doesn't make want to gag.

Sunday brunch. Walk in with no reservations and we were seated immediately. Waiter forgot about us and took almost 15 minutes before we were acknowledged. Drink and food order taken. Beyond drink recommendations only beignets were suggested. French toast with grits and a side of sausage and country ham breakfast were ordered. French toast had great flavor, especially with the addition of cinnamon butter, on top. A small, plastic cup of syrup was included. Main drawback was baget was sliced on diagonal. Gives quite a bit of crunch; but, does not allow custard to permeate the bread. Center most part was the best; but, that was only 1/3rd of the piece. Grits were fantastic! Sausage has great flavor and texture. Country ham breakfast was very good.

In the top three meals I have ever had. Portions are large and the depth of flavors is outstanding. The gumbo is the best I've had and the crab rolls were top notch. The medley was amazing, the meatballs were so delicious. The grits were so creamy and smooth. Seriously don't miss this place if you are ever in Louisville.
