This is a revised review. They don't take reservations, but they can have a long wait - upwards of an hour at times. I called ahead, at their advice from earlier (they don't take reservations but if we call the same day they'll honor that), only to be told at the door that there was no point in calling ahead as they don't take reservations, before being turned away - apart from this irritation, the actual dining experience was fine. The food was good, coffee was good, lemon souffle was great. Love their bread. I have lived in the neighborhood for years and have only been twice simply due to the bother of finding a seat, which may be a sign of how busy this place can be and its quality but also may indicate room for improvement in either communication or seating/ booking policies.

First time visiting Toast on main. I miss Toast in New Albany. We got to the restaurant about 1015 on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. The person taking our name was very nice. The wait was less that quoted. The waitress for very nice and attentive. I had a couple of questions and she took time to answer them. I chose the New Orleans scramble which is a special. My girlfriend got the toast and egg with a house salsa. Both dishes came out quick and hot. The waitress offered us hot sauce or other condiments. Both were very good and just the right size. Our drinks were kept full. We both left feeling satisfied but not overly full. I highly recommend Toast on Main in youโ€™re interested the area or not. It is worth a special trip for breakfast or lunch.

Came recommended by locals. Food didn't disappoint, neither did the service! Grits on point, sauce was so flavorful, didn't even need the tobasco it was served with. Cheers to Toast!

I'm not really sure what all the hype is about. We ordered four different entrees and enjoyed 1. Everything was so bland and either really oily or too buttery. Everything looked amazing and ingredients seemed fresh, however the dishes were just really lacking flavor. The gravy on the chicken and biscuits was the only flavorful meal I tasted. The stars are really for the ambience and staff. The host was amazing. Very personable and friendly. Our server seemed nice enough. Couldn't tell you her name. We sat outdoors in a very pretty enclosure that had heat lamps.

Get the lemon ricotta pancakes! They were so tasty and well done! I had a side of sausage and coffee. Love this spot. Even though they were busy, we managed to grab a seat at the bar and eat pretty quickly. Their staff was super nice. We'll be back!

Very good overall breakfast. I recommend you make a reservation for Toast On Market as it was packed when we arrived for breakfast on Saturday and try the The Lemon soufflรฉ pancakes! I found the Monte Cristo to contain good flavor while lacking balance and being excessively sweet which can be remedied using a thicker bread. Very good service. 4.5 (5.0)

The food was delicious! The cinnamon roll was SO good. I also highly recommend the lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes. Next time I will have to ask if they have OJ without pulp. Great place!

Toast on Market was a great experience! The menu is unique, but has enough familiarity to engage just about any palette. The variety of options on the menu brought us back twice in 24 hours. The drink menu was equally unique offering 5 different types of bloody marys, multiple types of mimosas, and seasonal options as well. The service was good as well.

I ordered the Frittata and was wildly disappointed, I'm 95% confident it was frozen beforehand. The edges were very hard like they were previously frozen. Did not taste fresh at all. The spinach with oil on the side did not make the dish any better unfortunately. I mean how hard is it to make fresh frittata. The mimosa was alright, didn't have lots of high expectations for it. The only good thing about my brunch was the banana foster latte, it was really good and nice and warm. I would have been impressed if they messed that up. Don't think I'll be giving it another chance. The eggs were bland, no seasoning. Had to add salt and the bread was also bland. No feedback as to how to make bread better but I've had tastier bread. Sat inside because it's raining but the inside ambience was nothing to write home about. Thanks for the brunch.

The staff was super friendly both on the phone when I called with a question & in person when I arrived to pick up my online order. The food was amazing. I got the bananas foster french toast with a side of sausages patties. I also got the pumpkin roll caramella coffee & it was great; perfect ratio where it wasnโ€™t overly sweet. Canโ€™t wait to come back & bring some friends with me.

Loved everything, from the staff to the food to the atmosphere. Such a great place to eat breakfast or lunch if youโ€™re in the area.

Came by this spot with friends for brunch. Loved the vibes and the service overall was excellent. I would have preferred non-chorizo biscuits and gravy, however it was still a good dish. The pancakes were also delicious. Will plan to return next time we're in town.

VISITING THE AREA from SC....& wanted to make sure we took the opportunity before the doors closed on this location. Delicious menu....Fantastic staff. Drinks amazing. Menu can be found online, with specials available..... Sadly this location will be closing with their last weekend open (according to the website) will be the weekend of May 22nd. I have a very strong feeling the locals will miss this staple of Louisville flavor. Limited stock in t-shirts are still available similar to what the staff wear.

Great brunch spot! Their sparkling raspberry lemonade was very refreshing. Homemade biscuits and homemade compote are too good to miss. Would recommend the hash brown casserole (itโ€™s an up charge but worth it!). Can be a bit of a wait. A table for two was 45 mins on a Sunday around 11:15 am

Great food, environment, and staff. Every interaction I seen and experienced with staff members was genuinely friendly and welcoming. The food was exceptional and well balanced in flavor; the ingredients were well sourced. I definitely had to save this place as a favorite.

Nice little place that I have never heard of. The workers were all very friendly. Our group of four were all highly satisfied with the taste and temperature of our foods. The outside inside kind of thing was also pretty cool and I had never seen anything like it. I would visit again! Pictured is an omelet with sourdough toast and hash brown casserole and the lemon souffle pancake with blueberry compost.
