My
wife
and
I
recently
visited
Buckhead
Mountain
Grill
for
the
first
time.
We
were
trying
to
figure
where
to
go
for
dinner
on
a
Saturday
night
and
since
we
had
been
to
David's
Bridal
the
week
before,
Buckhead
Mountain
came
up,
so
(hops
in
car,
starts
engines,
drives
to
restaurant)
we
decided
to
go.
When
we
arrived
we
were
seated
immediately
in
the
bar
section
(we
prefer
high-top
tables
to
booths).
Our
server
was
there
almost
immediately
and
took
our
drink
orders.
About
5
minutes
later
came
those
drinks
and
those
amaaaazing
rolls.
Holy
YOWZAH,
those
things
are
good!
My
wife
ordered
soup
and
I
ordered
a
New
York
strip
(my
favorite
cut),
a
baked
sweet
potato,
and
a
Caesar
salad.
Food
delivery
took
about
10
minutes,
which
was
pretty
good,
considering
we
had
the
aforementioned
rolls
and
my
salad
came
out
pretty
quickly.
The
bar
area
is
a
pretty
nifty
place
if
you
like
craft
beer
(which
I
do)
and
sports
(which
I
don't).
There
are
probably
close
to
20
screens
surrounding
the
bar
area
showing
a
variety
of
sporting
events,
television
shows
and
commercials.
The
decor
of
the
restaurant
is
rustic
/
outdoorsy,
giving
you
a
feeling
of
being
in
a
cabin
or
a
lodge
somewhere
out
in
the
wilderness.
A
gaslight
fire
on
one
wall
gives
the
establishment
a
cozy
feel.
When
we
got
our
meals
they
were
delivered
correctly.
My
wife's
soup
was
hot,
my
steak
was
just
a
notch
past
warm,
but
not
hot.
The
baked
sweet
potato
was
hot,
but
delivered
with
only
whipped
butter,
while
I
was
expecting
butter
and
cinnamon
sugar
(because,
I
CAN,
dammit!!).
The
description
of
the
steak
told
me
that
this
was
going
to
be
an
end-all/be-all
steak
eating
experience
("Enjoy
superior-tasting
cuts
that
melt
in
your
mouth,
seasoned
and
grilled
to
your
liking.").
To
be
honest
they
missed
the
mark
on
that
one.
Like
I
said,
the
steak
wasn't
hot,
it
was
minimally
seasoned,
and
didn't
exactly
melt
in
my
mouth.
In
fact,
for
being
a
New
York
strip,
it
was
a
bit
tough
and
required
a
bit
of
effort
to
cut
and
chew.
After
we
were
done
it
took
near
20
minutes
to
get
our
check...a
bit
long.
We
had
noticed
that
about
3
other
parties
self-seated
themselves
in
the
bar
area,
disrupting
our
server's
work
flow.
All
in
all,
not
a
bad
experience.
I
was
expecting
more
when
it
came
to
the
steak
than
I
actually
got.
I
wanted
to
absolutely
love
Buckhead
Mountain
Grill.
Maybe
next
time.
