Wow! As a frequent movie go-er, my bride and I dropped our jaw in amazement of the super happy, "glad you're here" attitude of Rick Gray. I asked him why he's so positive, upbeat in welcoming customers especially in today's world of anti-everything attitude. Then he told me he's been working at Tinseltown since it opened 18 years ago. Rick Gray is a precious asset for Cinemark and should be the top dog trainer for managers and staff. On a scale of 1 to 5 stars, I give Rick Gray 10 stars. - Mike Butler

seats were kinda uncomfy. the foot part comes all the way up to parallel with the ground but the back part only reclines the tiniest amount so you’re basically still sitting upright 😒 other than that had a good experience. restrooms could have used some attention

We’ve heard the phrase “All dressed up and no where to go” … Well this theater is it. Apparently, each theater has had makeover but the concession area hasn’t. They still have the same overpriced snack offerings. This used to be a booming theater with tons of patrons. Not so post Covid. New reclining “leather” seats, complete with snack trays and drink holders and still… no people. This theater probably seats 375-400 and there are FOUR patrons seated. The Pandemic, Covid, Monkey Pox and all of that together has truly taken a toll on our society, families and communities in a huge way. It might be good that it’s not packed… probably less opportunity for some type of transmission- viral or otherwise…so there’s that.

The movie was good theater was clean, but the issue I have is that I bought nachos and dip the chips was okay but my cheese taste old and wasn't warm and the candy I bought was a little hard that's why I gave two stars. Guest services needs to improve

This theater will not do refills on popcorn. I will leave this review until the policy changes. Management told us it's a corporate decision to deny customers refills despite COVID restrictions having been already lifted. It's clear this is a money making scheme. Response to the owner's first comment: You have heard what would satisfy me as a future customer. INCLUDE free refills with the large popcorn/ large drink like it was done pre-covid. Until then we will no longer purchase food at the establishment.

UPDATE -- I pasted up several theaters to come back here. That was a mistake. The entire place (Lobby, Bathroom, XD Theatre) were filthy. It looked like nothing had been cleaned for a while. To make it worse, someone in the crowd started vaping which stunk like Strawberries. The movie Scream VI was good, the experience was terrible. Not sure how this place stays open. It use to be a nice place. Went here today to watch The Invisible Man. The movie was good. The theater was clean and seat was comfortable. I'm happy.

Customer service was great! My kiddos wanted blue slushies but they where not ready. So the girl at the counter offered to bring them to us when done so we could enjoy our movie. We had happy kids!!! So friendly. Our popcorn was fresh and movie was great. No glitches sound just perfect and everything was very clean.

We go to discount Tuesdays at least once a month and always have a great experience at this theater. We have tried a couple other Cinemark theaters and have always had a bad experience with the other patrons (noisy and rude). This is the best theater in the city. It always seems like the other people in the theater actually WANT to watch and enjoy the movie theater experience.

Staff was very polite and helpful; the snacks weren't the most expensive I've ever bought (2 large sodas, one large popcorn, and 2 boxes of candy for $27.××). Love the reclining seats, but I think they aren't so great for "shorter" folks. I'm 5'7", maybe 5'8", so definitely not short-short, but if I want my legs up, the back of the chair tips so far back that I'm facing the ceiling a little, and too far to sip my soda without spilling it. My 6'3" son had no such problems.

It was pretty nice. However, our reserved seats had 2 women sitting in them. I said these are our seats. She said, we couldn't see from easy up there. I said, I'm sorry, but these are our seats. They got up and proceeded to sit in someone else's seats; twice!

So, I have not been back to this place in many years. Some years ago, a racist man in the theater at that point tried to start a fight with my father. Once my father stood up and he saw his size, he backed down and ran to tell a staff member that a friend and I were talking. This was not true. I have never talked during a movie. Especially with my parents present, this never would have happened because they would have stopped it. I had twice whispered to her, not anything my parents or anyone else could hear, and she was the kind of person who had major anxiety and sometimes would laugh at occasionally strange times during a movie. After the 3rd time she giggled quietly, about 15 mins from the end, this man decided he wanted to start something with us and tell me bot to talk to her. My friend is white. I am not. I don't know what the racist told this staff member, but the staff member came and told us to keep it down of he would have to ask us to move. A mixed race family. Because of something a white man told him. If this facility had those cameras in the each theater, which I would expect they would as many higher end theaters have done this for years, they should have known exactly what happened. The man made it obvious when he attacked my father verbally that he had a problem with us personally. So this staff member did not ask us what happened, which we could have told him. He just came and said that he would move us if we made any more noise. Which we had not been doing, but this made us scared to do anything. This freaked out my friend who was already anxious. It was an awful experience for which no one ever apologized. On top of it this man was here with his fully white family and scared looking kids. Made me never want to go back to this location.

Good location and plenty of parking. Generally courteous staff. Needs an update. The carpet, seating and the swing tables are getting worn-out. Unpleasant smell in parts of the theater.

We enjoyed Top Gun: Maverick in XD. The sound was amazing and the movie was excellent! The popcorn was drier and less flavorful in the past but the theatre was clean and well maintained.

This is our go-to theater in the Louisville area. I've always found it to be among the cleanest and quietest available. The service at the snacks counter is fast, and the Cinemark club benefits are worth having.

I enjoy it here. Very nice seats and everyone is friendly. Good sound and overall a great place to watch a movie. We come alot already.

Our experience here was superior to Cinemark Preston Crossing 16. We will drive further to go to this theater instead! Our only issue was finding the ticket printer for prior online purchases, which is on the front wall of the theater after you enter. It wasn't very clear where we were supposed to go for that, and we just had to figure that out.

Hmmm very over priced and very run down theater. We had reserved seats on the front row. Damn, way to close to the screen. We set in the front at other theaters all the time. Not only that my seat was broken. I thought I was going over backwards to the floor. Luckily the seat next toe was open. I would not recommend and I seriously doubt I will spend my money there again.

We arrived on 25 March 23 to watch John Wick 4. Paid ~$40 for 3 movies excusing the convenience fee for online purchase. Arrived and made it in quickly with the QR scan. Went to purchase snacks. Noticed three employees just hanging out all at the same register chatting. The area in front of the register had not been wiped down and had a sticky mess all Over from the night before (likely as it looked like it had been there quite some time ). By the way the movie was at 11:30 am. We bought our concessions and stopped by the popcorn salt and there was another mess of soda, salt and more all over the table. The salt was basic table salt (not popcorn salt) and it was near empty. Suggest morning or evening routines are not being followed or established.

This place was so dirty, I didn't even want to sit in my chair. It was very obvious that no cleaning is done in between shows. Popcorn on the floor, chairs etc..The trays that go over your lap were sticky & gross. Every single trash can was full to the brim.. My boyfriend purchased a beer that had to be poured into a cup, which was fine. But..it was very obvious that no one has taught this very young girl how to pour a beer properly.. She poured the beer like a 2 liter and it was half foam. My boyfriend politely asked for a new one and she said "okay" and was preparing to charge him again. We were confused why we had to pay for another when this one was poorly handled. She stated "I mean that's just what happens when I pour it". I stated to her that it shouldn't if poured correctly, that's not what it should look like." No one wants to pay almost $10.00 for a half foam beer. She couldn't be bothered to try and solve this situation, she was young and annoyed and just didn't understand. So we just took our loss and he tossed it anyway. Won't be back to this location though.

Below average. Place is definitely lacking in staying clean. Brought my kid for the Mario movie and the card reader looked like it hadn’t been wiped down in weeks. Staff were ok. The ticket taker at the door was very kind in helping in finding my sons jacket. Seats are ok but do get a little uncomfortable after about an hour. Many were peeling. Movie quality and sound was excellent.

This place has long been the best option for seeing first run films in Louisville. However I will state that time is starting to take its toll on the previous upgrades done several years ago. The recliners all have peeling fabric/leather and many of the reclining seats have motors which have given out - Getting a working recliner is like playing the lottery. We do the $8.99 membership fee so that tickets rollover and it’s the best deal to avoid the ticket fees and get discounts on the concessions. I’m hoping that Cinemark will use some of that recurring revenue to spruce up the concession area and shorten the concession lines - they absolutely must renovate the bathrooms which are the worst part of the experience.

I really do enjoy going to movies and lately I've been going to the cinemark really close by where I live. I only give this 3 stars for the gentleman up at the concession named Ethan really helpful guy you can tell that he really loves to help people and he brings a big part to cinemark. I give this 3 stars because sometimes the movies don't start on time And in theater eight lately the sound is really bad sounds like the actors are talking through A styrophone cup. Other than that I'd still go to see movies here just wish they start on time. BUT THANK YOU ETHAN!!

Pretty comfy chairs. The screen looked nice. Even my pet invisible dinosaur Grubbie liked the place. And he's never happy. I need a better movie buddy. One that doesn't bite people when they run out of popcorn. Anyways, Nick Sea & Grubbie give the place 5 Butterfingers up!

If I could leave a 0, I would. I haven’t gone to the movies recently and decided to go yesterday… things have obviously gone far down hill. After waiting in a very short line for maybe 20 minutes primarily because employees were busy interacting with each other, my friends and I asked for drinks with no ice and received almost nothing but ice. Entertaining the dirty movie theatre I realized my cup was leaking. Went to replaced it and had to pay another $6. Just for the empty cup. Ill use that in gas to drive to a further movie theater, thanks.

Very nice theater. Levels of seating that keeps away people that would have been able to kick your seat in other theaters. And they serve beer in the lobby.

Last night my son, his friend and I came to Tinseltown Springhurst to watch WrestleMania on the big screen live. Now, for those who know, when matches are over, things can happen, especially the last match at WrestleMania. This year was no exception. However, we wouldn’t know it. Well, not till we got home, cause soon as the match was over, the lights came up and the screen went blank. I paid to see a whole show, not just most of it, and look up the ending at home. Was very disappointing in that. When leaving, there wasn't anyone around to talk to, it was like a ghost town. If it wasn't already midnight, I would have went searching for one.

It was very comfortable. I haven't been to a movie in over 20 years and every moment was enjoyable!! Thank you for the experience. Wakanda Forever!!

The icee machines need to be cleaned. This same issue has happened to me multiple times. The icee machines hurt my stomach because they are not properly cleaned. It’s really bad. You all are going to kill someone from the bacteria growing in them. I also like Tinseltown a lot! Not mad at anyone. But please help. Clean the machines.

This theater has seen better days. The property is looking a little rough and the concessions are not at 100%. Some of that could be impacted by supply chain issues.

  • 2/5 Mari J. 1 year ago on Google
The seats were comfortable but this theater doesn’t give free refills on large drinks & large popcorn, this is why it gets a two star rating!!!

NOT IMPRESSED, not worth the money. The bar is closed because they have ONE bartender and they called in. There is no sign that says it was closed, we’re just standing there looking stupid! The bathrooms, carpet and areas are dirty. I WONT be back. This place needs updated. Also no loitering?! Seriously?! Wow. Kids can’t have fun and hang out?

I want to start be saying my husband is a club member and we go to a lot of movies. However last evening we were taken back at how dirty the carpet was on our walk to house 6 and the hand rails were sticky. Even my husband noticed and he never says anything. We wrote it off as short staffed because the employee that scanned our ticket was the same one getting ready to clean house 6 after our show. By the way this young man was very nice. Just wanted to share a concern

My wife & I attend this movie theatre several times a month. On July 30th, 2020 we attended the theatre to see, (where the crawdads sing). We have always had a wonderful experience until this day. Actually, this is the only theatre we attend. The issue was with a young man named either (Brandon or (Brenden). My wife asked for extra butter. Brandon was VERY RUDE. He advised that he would not provide the service, when we told him it's never been an issue, and others never mind giving extra butter. He responded, " I guess they were not doing their job". For this reason my wife & I are considering changing theatres. If you attend Tinseltown avoid this young man. He has no business dealing with customers

Very comfortable seating. Matinee tickets are reasonable but consessions are sky high, due to inflation.

I love watching movies and this is the closest location to me. They have upgraded their seats over the past years and it has become quite comfortable. They also show Indian Movies now and then and I go a few times during the year. Never had any issues and it's always fun going to watch movies with friends. They also do have a bar for alcohol if that's your thing while watching a movie.
