Its cheap and the gift shop area is really cool. Good cappuccinos here too. The viewing rooms are somewhat odd. One room had a tiny bit of history on Louisville parks. The other was an expensive ikea type area. They get 4 stars though because its cheap to visit. The front reception area persons are really nice. Clean bathrooms, cool shop area trinkets and the cappuchanchans are top notch.

Very cozy museum. They Definitely go for quality than quantity when it comes to their displays. They also have slam poetry every last Saturday of the month. Definitely will visit again!

I absolutely loved KMAC. I wish I could go back! My friends and I were out-of-towners visiting from up north for a conference in the city, and this museum was one of the only places we could find open on a Sunday before flying out. I'm so glad we found it. The ultimate museum aesthetic and feel- so warm and cozy and friendly. All the art was, of course, beautiful and thought-provoking. Even the coffee was absolutely delicious and made on the spot. My friends and I stayed here for a good while just chatting and hanging out in the lobby after viewing the pieces. The employees on the ground floor were highly knowledgeable and so kind and relaxed. They made us feel welcomed and comfortable. You could tell right away that they absolutely were passionate about the arts. On top of all this, admission was free! I still keep my pamphlets and stickers that I got here, and if I ever come back to Louisville I will 100% stop by. I'm sure my friends would say the same.

It's free, kind of small as there's only 2 exhibits at a time, 3 floors, your in and out in roughly 20-30 minutes. The exhibits they had were interesting though, good amount of information for the pieces.

Free entry to this nice museum. We went to see the highschool kids' art exhibition and were super impressed. Great to see so much young talent!

Beautiful museum and wonderful art. First floor had a gift shop/coffee shop and a creativity center for the children. The second floor had a continuation of the dresses from the first floor. The third floor had canvases if beautiful art work with a local artists working on a master piece. Very friendly, clean, and amazing place.

The KMAC is a wonderful museum in Louisville. Very approachable for people new to art museums, but still very professional. Their current show Divided We Stand is beautiful and features Kentucky Artists. They also have a resident artist who is usually on site that you can speak with about their work.

This is a very small exhibit but each artist's work is well worth seeing. Unique and delightful. The gift shop alone is worth the visit. And there's a cafe. A hidden gem.

We were there during Family Free day so we could get in for free.. the place is neat, but has limited space to display all the art. Great for family with younger kids as it looks like they have different activities for them.

Such a gorgeous layout, i was surprised at the size of the giftshop area, though it did not deter from the experience whatsoever. my partner and i had the pleasure of visiting last month at the opening of ‘Holding Pattern’ exhibition and I fell in love at the detail. This gallery clearly values craftsmanship as highly as bold and tasteful concepts. I cant wait to visit again.

Interesting and cool contemporary art museum tucked into the "tourist" area of downtown Louisville. New and changing exhibits and a pretty cool kids interactive area. Multiple "floors" that IS handicap accessible. Well worth a stop!

This is a fantastic venue to visit, they have a hands on kids corner, an amazing little boutique and then a couple of floors dedicated to art and craft. Absolutely love it. Check it out for free if you have littles with the culture pass!

I was able to participate for my first time, in this year's KMAC Couture "Art Walks the Runway" show and enjoyed every minute. Now I can't get enough of this museum and its exhibits. This is an incredible venue and artistic resource in this town, and I am so grateful to be a part of it.

Took my granddaughters here, they enjoyed the different activity stations. The manipulatives where challenging and stimulating. Upstairs the gowns made of everyday materials, such as s paper, feathers, pottery, were lovely. The children are given a card to seek and find objects within the museum. The atmosphere was calm and laid back.

This was the first experience my 6 year old daughter, an avid lover of art, ever had at attending a summer camp…she LOVED everything about the KMAC camp! Every day she brought home her creations from the day & each was different so I knew she was exploring new techniques:) We opted to have her attend the full day session which ran from 8:30 to 4:30…I highly recommend this camp! Additionally, the museum itself is incredible! It is my new place to go to purchase gifts as the gift shop is full of amazing, unique items..the staff at KMAC are the best as well! Thank you to all those at KMAC that we interacted with for making this entire experience perfect!
