This was well worth the time to stop in this little museum. The Thomas Edison House is a quaint museum full of interesting facts about this amazing inventor. The guide was informative and how lucky are we to have this in Louisville. It is small in size but packed with information.

Todd was a great tour guide. Tons of history of Edison but also of the area! He provided recommendations for local bars and restaurants of which we visited several and really enjoyed. Highly recommend if you're just looking for something to do aside from drinking ☺️

The name is kind of misleading, he didn't really live there a lot. He just rented it out for period of time while he worked at a telegraph place. But it's cheap. And the guy that's running it seemed pretty cool. He even put a lightbulb from the display case in a working socket because the old one burned out. I'm not sure where the old one went but it's probably sitting in one of the display cases there. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because a lot of the stuff there is reproduction but they have air conditioning so that is nice.

Cool but not that cool. They have a ton of information about the legend but he only lived here (rented) in one of the bedrooms for a very short time. So it’s not really or was it ever his house.

I just loved my visit to this Edison Museum. Vicki, the director and docent was fun and knowledgeable about all things Edison. I learned so much and would recommend this tour to any age group. Wonderful examples of Edison's life work. I mainly associate him with the electric lightbulb, but there is so much more to his story. Vicky made his history come alive. Maybe call ahead to ensure they will be open when you want to visit.

Seems like a bit of a stretch. He only lived in Louisville for about a year and rented a room this tiny house. Sort of a Washington slept here kind of thing

The docent really made this place interesting. Our group was aged 4 to 64 and he made it interesting for everyone in our party. It is not free, but it is very reasonably priced. You should see it.

For what it is, it's great! We all know Edison was a thief, but the neighborhood is great, despite the smell of pigs being slaughtered a few blocks away. I definitely recommend!

Col tiny house. One of many from Thomas Edison. Offers tours inside must haves reservation. Check times and dates. Not open daily. Parking is free and its located behind building or you can park on the road in front. If you're driving to find it be careful because it's not well marked.

It is cool to see this 1850s house. But it is only speculated that Thomas Edison himself stayed in this particular one.

A very informative museum to learn about the life of Thomas Edison. The tour guide was very friendly and she answered all of my questions. She really knows her stuff! Thank you for a very interesting tour. I would recommend this stop for anyone visiting Louisville!

We were not able to go in as they were closed today. But to be able to visit and read the historical marker was such a treat. Edison rented a room here for a year and walked to work everyday. This is such a great place as it is where Edison spent some of his time. So grateful for the historical society for keeping it alive.

A nice little hidden gem off the beaten path. A very well curated collection with some interesting bits and pieces from Edison's prolific inventing career. Definitely worth a stop.

For what it is, it's cool but definitely not a big adventure. I would say if you are visiting Louisville you should check out the house and then while you're there ask yourself why you ever came to Louisville to visit. The house is near a lot of breweries.

I went there with my 8 year old and we both have a good time. The volunteer doing the guided tour was really knowledgeable and friendly. We spent about 1 hour because we have a lot of questions. Both of us enjoyed the phonograph and telegraph demonstration. Pretty small but pretty cool place to check out.
