Loves this stop on my trip. Smaller, more laid back, self tour. Informative and educational. Lady at the front was friendly and welcoming. Enjoyable.

Came here with my partner on a weekday afternoon and it was empty. All their temporary exhibitions were under construction, but both of the permanent exhibitions were available. They were very interesting, but short. It was totally free and a nice little air-conditioned excursion on a very hot day. The staff was also very nice.

If you would like to learn more about slavery and the underground railroad in New Albany this is the place to go. They have an hour movie about slavery. Old shackles, etc.. Civil War memorabilia. Also, they have interesting art and activities to do with children. The building itself is a sight to see and check out the huge tree in the front.

2nd time I’ve been there in 5 years and most of it was closed for new exhibits—again. Yet they sure won’t close the big US History of Slavery/Underground railroad. Way to focus on the nations only real shameful past.

The staff was super friendly and informative about the exhibit. My family enjoyed the quilt exhibit, and we learned a lot from the underground railroad exhibit. I highly recommend visiting this museum.

They have a changing art exhibit, a permanent underground railroad exhibit, and a small play area for the little (with magna tiles).

There were amazing artistic quilts on display and a walk though educational display on history of slavery & the underground railroad in southern Indiana and New Albany. My 5 year old's favorite was the area he could make his own quilt with magnets and project it onto the wall.

A wonderful tour of the railway system in our area. And their breakdown of the underground railroad had me fascinated, and horrified.

Art displays free to the public. This is associated with the New Albany Floyd County Library. They display permanent historical timelines as well as changeable art and history displays. At present the focus is on the Monon Railroad lines. There are monthly talks presented free to the public as well as family crafts offered.

Awesome quilt display right now. I took my 3-year old daughter and she loved it. I watched a 15-minute video on slavery and the underground railroad. Then we played with Picasso Tiles. In all we were there an hour. This is a very small museum so plan to enjoy a local restaurant or another local attraction on your trip.

I was here for am award ceremony, but had a couple kids with me. The boys were able to spend some time in their doodle/sketch area. Very neat.

The underground railroad is fascinating to learn about meeting one of the descents of the George Washington Carter family was interesting and amazing experience. The African American history displayed and told here is absolutely beautiful also i wish there was more displayed but hopefully in the future they do display more African American history in this museum. But overall such a great experience here

😐 I liked the challenging features of the playset but wasn't conducive for a 2yr old to navigate easily. There were no regular steps for younger children to go through independently.

👍 Went out to Riverfront Park to shoot some aerial footage with the drone. This park is perfectly located on the banks of the Ohio River. There are bike trails, walking trails, a playground area for the little ones, a skateboard 🛹 park, the New Albany amphitheater and more. Nessled in the shadow of t...
