Took this hike with my family. We, the parents, are overweight and we have a 3 year old so we wanted something easy where we could get out and take in some nature without being too challenged or getting into trouble. This was an excellent walk and highly recommended for someone starting out with hikes or those with young children. There are places you can turn off to wade into nearby streams so bring stuff in case you want to do that!

Boone Bottoms Trail is a great family trail and is an easy trail. Very flat with just a few humps to walk over throughout the trail. Once you reach the Floyd's Fork, there are several places you can walk right down to the water. Some places are a little harder to get to the water and others are very easy. (Keep in mind this all depends on how high/low the water is). Very nice and easy trail for a quick hike/walk if your alone or with a group. (This is a NO bike trail)

This trail throws you smack dab in the middle of nature. I took my 3 year old son and 2 dogs. It was easy for all to walk. There is easy access to the water, if you want to get close to that. The trail has a few obstacles but none were difficult for the 4 of us. Just make sure to wear good shoes. It was a lovely walk.

Nice path, stroller friendly and you can access the creek.

My son and I have made this a weekly ritual. We both love this trail lots of deer and other critter tracks. It does get a bit swampy after a rain but hey it’s nature. Creaks will be lower in dry periods and can get quite high and fast after or during rains so beware. Over all so much fun.

Boone's Bottom is one of our favorite quick trails. Fairly flat and easy to access, it can be a bit muddy in parts. There is an amazing part of the path that is covered in little shells and if you venture down to the creek (a little off the path) there are larger shells too. Also sighted some very cool fossils.
