As a VA nurse I have seen first hand the hurt in the eyes of our veterans and it breaks me. Places like this are vital to our country as we should celebrate the return of our heroes and acknowledge the unspeakable loss when they are unable to make it back safely. We stopped by on our KY vacation from our NC home. I sent photos to several friends and family members who have actively served our country. Thank you so much for putting so much thought, care, and passion into this park. It was seen and felt.

My husband is a Vet and since moving back to Kentucky we explore the state and we came across this park. We stopped here on my husband's birthday so it was a pleasant surprise. WOW, beautiful and welcoming grounds. Very clean This is one of our favorites so far. The Vetran Wall is absolutely stunning.

Nice variety of equipment. Don't think restrooms need winter closing.

This is one of the most beautiful parks in the local area. There’s plenty of room for birthday parties at any of the gazebos, but I think they have to be reserved. There’s also picnic areas on the grass plenty of flat space if you wanted to have a blanket picnic. There’s plenty of playground equipment with swings and a rope climbing part wheelchair accessible and plenty of slides. Highly recommend this park on a pretty day. The Veterans Memorial is so beautiful. Very informative and a in depth look at what veterans went through during the vietnam war.

Clean and beautifully kept grounds. The memorial is truly amazing for everyone to honor those who sacrificed all. The family oriented playground, walking trail, bridge, swings, bbq grills, benches and tables with overhead cover make this location a true gem in Middletown. A+++

It is nice park and excellent play area for kids. Esters egg hunt celebration is the great event every year happening here. Lots of kids enjoying it every year. It is memorial park and national inspiration location for next generation. It’s proud and honor to visit this park.

My first time in this park and I am so happy. This is the best and most beautiful park in Kentucky. There's a river , a beautiful bridge that I felt like I was in Rome or something like that. You can celebrate birthdays parties in here. It's free and you can have a lot of beautiful photos. I am so in love with this place. There's a place in the world where the war heroes are honored and it's here. There are a lot of games where your children can have fun. The only thing that was so bad were the restrooms, they were so dirty. Anyway you have to come. I love it. ❤

Wow! What a nice park! Very nicely done. A beautiful tribute to service members. Also has really cool playground with some unique equipment, a creek nearby and plenty of space for B-day parties.

One of the most beautiful veterans park anywhere! The tributes located in here are awe inspiring and emotionally thought provoking. Anyone even close to Jeffersontown should make a visit to this amazing, patriotic park.

The Park is very well maintained. It's family friendly, and, with the memorials, can be used as a teaching tool. While the playgrounds offer fun for the kids, adults can enjoy the various displays and commemorative plaques. Use the pavilions for a family picnic or grill out.

It's a cool park that pays tribute to veterans. It has a tank, helicopter, artillery gun and torpedo as well as a tribute wall. It also has a play area for kids.

The transformation of this park is inspiring. The newly created memorial highlights true stories of troops and of a population displaced by war. The poem engraved on the glass wall , it is beautiful, as are the stories and photographs. Beautiful memorial. The walking trails are paved and short distance. They make for a relaxing family friendly walk. The park is dog friendly, however, there are typically many children of all ages (and their many squeals of delight and disgust), sessions of basketball games, picnics and birthday celebrations, and often other dogs. They have shut the bathrooms down for the season (October 1, 2023) and I feel this is a detriment to the park. I also feel once the memorial is complete, having a wheel chair accessible, family, bathroom nearby is necessary for our older veterans and others that may be attending the memorial section of the park.

Nice park and walking trails. The playground was super sweet when first installed, but now has a few broken parts... still fun though! Sometimes the bathrooms are gross, but it's a park. Wish they'd light the basketball courts like they do the playground and pathways. Seems as if they don't want to provide after dark basketball for some reason... Overall great park, just needs to be continued to be kept up the way it deserves and has been thus far.

The picnic shelters are designed appropriately with an adequate number of plastic coated picnic tables. The lawn and walking paths are well maintained. However, the bathroom facilities were terrible. Apparently, they aren’t cleaned on a regular basis. Overall, a good place to have a picnic and entertain family and friends.

Beautiful place to spend a unique afternoon with your family or friends, it is practically like an open-air museum, picnic area and games for children among other attractions.

Great salute to veterans. My grandchildren love the "helicopter park." There is a helicopter at the entrance and a remembrance wall saluting veterans. It has a fantastic playground with a soft, cushiony surface. Several shelters with picnic tables that can be reserved.

This is an awesome little park. It's got plenty of very nice and newer Pavilions for all your party shelter needs. You do have to make a reservation for them. It also has two newer playground areas, and a very beautiful memorial for some of our local veterans. I definitely recommend checking it out, it's a nice park to go enjoy on a beautiful day out with the family.

Recently had a family reunion here and I can’t say enough about it. This is a wonderful place to gather and have fun! It’s clean and well kept. There are bathroom facilities centrally located. Playground was filled with an array of fun things for the little guys. There’s a basketball court for the older folks, so the guys also got to play. There are electric outlets (but you may want to bring a power strip if you have lots of things to plug in). We had large covered garbage cans at our site. P Everyone loved this place. This is a new venue we will continue to visit! Can’t wait for the next

One of our favorite parks in the area. I love that there are 2 playgrounds, and the walking trail is great too. We love to sit in the swinging benches with a view of the creek.

It's a beautiful tribute to our soldiers. Looks like they are expanding it to include information about other wars.

Beautiful park and lots for everyone to do. A place for reflection for our veterans, a great playground and basketball courts for the kids. A beautiful creek and open field for nature lovers. Well maintained and worth a visit.

I was impressed with the way everything was setup. The arsenal of military equipment on permanent display really set the mood of honoring our soldiers everywhere., Shame they couldn't have had a ship or at least a boat. Even the memorial wall was impressive. Good job.

Plenty for everyone to do here, between parks for kids, walking trails for adults (or kids), pavilions for rent, basketball courts, and of course the veterans memorials. The trails are very pretty and scenic, but there's quite a lot of altitude change, just something to be aware of for strollers or wheelchair access. The play area is a favorite of the household as it has a relatively unique "spiderman-like" web climbing area. Of all the parks we have visited, no other has this exact play structure and it's a big hit.
