We stopped here on our way to completing the Indiana Cave Trail. It was a Thursday, so not busy at all, which was good in some ways, but the soap making and sweet shop were closed. We were a little bummed about that. Our tour guide was really nice and knowledgeable, unfortunately we couldn't hear more than half of what she said during our 1 hour tour because some folks thought it was a good idea to bring two kids under two years old on the tour. They fussed and cried pretty much the whole time. I do not recommend bringing children under 3 years old on any cave tours, once you're in, there's no way out until the tour is over. Not good for little ones. I did manage to get some great photos in the cave and the highlight for us was seeing the final resting place of Squire Boone and hearing the history behind that. Very neat! My kids loved feeding the goats and pigs on the property. The lady who runs the candle dipping could have been a bit friendlier, she got a little short with my kids when they weren't following her (not very clear) instructions. Everyone else who worked there was very nice though! The gem mining was fun and they found some gems they hadn't seen before.

A stunning experience, with kind and helpful staff. The rock shop has great fun things at a good price, same with the candle shop. The restaurant was a little expensive but tbh it was worth it cause everything tasted amazing. The cave of course has the coolest history with beautiful views and the best running water exhibits I've seen in a cave. However from the back everything was a but quiet because of how loud the water was so if you're hard of hearing I suggest going to the front. Or a speaker on the guide would be beneficial- either way the cave connected to the mill which was unique to see so overall 11/10 for Squire Boone.

Every time I try a new cave experience in the area I think there is no way it can be as good as or better than the one before but they are all so good. Squire Boone Caverns was so much fun and there is so much to do. Everyone was incredibly nice too. There is a rock hut with all kinds of cool stuff, a candle shack where you can make your own candles, a spot to get good food (the pulled pork was excellent), a zip line, animals to feed, and of course the cave tour. The food was pricy as most tourist places are but was really good. The cave is simply amazing and a must see destination. If I do have criticism, it's that the tour leader needs a microphone and speaker. The cave has actively flowing water and he spoke so low I only heard about 50% of what he said for the whole tour. Thankfully I'm very familiar with caves and the beauty of this one kind of speaks for itself. Great experience though and one I would highly recommend

Quite far out but worth the experience. Be prepared to walk. The tour is about 1hr total. There are slick stairs descending. And 72 stairs ascending. Very beautiful cavern and grounds. Cost $24 for adults, kids$14 or free if 4 and younger.

This place is a childhood relic that actually got BETTER! The cave tour is about 45 min, not too long. It's gorgeous and the lighting is awesome now. Our tour guide knew her stuff (Carissa/Karissa), and was amazing with the kiddos. They have a place to eat now! There is a soap making shop, a candle shop where you can make your own, a rock shop where you can pan your own bag with garunteed precious stones, and a kick butt gift shop with really reasonable items. We had a blast and I can't wait to go back!

Absolutely gorgeous cave! Everyone was very friendly. We visited on the off season and they only do tours four times a day. We missed the noon tour by a couple of minutes as well as another family and the next tour wouldn’t be until 2 pm. The people added a 12:30 pm tour for us! Our guide Malechi was awesome! Very informative and kept it interesting. Definitely recommend a visit! Hope to get back here another time.

Best cave experience ever. Reasonably priced and awesome gift shop. This has to be one of the most beautiful and jaw dropping caves in the world. The tour guide was very entertaining while telling us the history behind the cave.

Been to many caves and caverns, Squire Boone is by far the most interesting, unique one I have been to. The fact that there is an active river with waterfalls is awesome. It gives you a very unique perspective as to how the caves were formed, not to mention beautiful. Our guide (can't remember her name) was very informative. Excellent tour!

After leaving Indiana Caverns I decided to check these Caverns also. Just a twenty minute drive to this location, I was not disappointed. These Caverns are probably the best of the two. Jay (like the J Bird) was informative and knowledgeable. But the views here are spectacular, after touring the Caverns I stop by the kitchen for a bite to eat. These lady's make most the food here, chicken salad was probably the best. Plenty of gifts and souvenirs for the kiddies. Staff super friendly and courteous.

Cool spot for a day trip. It’s setup like a little village so you have more activities than just the cave tour. The cave starts out about 30 feet below surface and deepest part is 90 feet. The tour is about an hour ish. The initial decent is a spiral staircase as well as the staircase going back up which is about 70 stairs. The formations are beautiful, saw white crawfish and even one bat which apparently is super rare. The waterfalls inside the cave are unique to the area. It was a timed entry tour. A little pricey imo, we’ve been to Carlsbad Caverns and Mammoth so I would think it would be cheaper. A $7 add on to ticket let’s kids mine for gems and fossils and feed the animals. Nice way to spend time if you’re waiting for the cave tour. Lots of picnic tables. Restaurant on site. Grist mill was a short walk and educational for the kids. Of all the caves we’ve been to we did appreciate the different color lights.

This cave was AMAZING!! The tour guide, Graham, was very nice and very informative and answered all the questions we had. The cave was so gorgeous and I loved that the guide went slow enough we could take it all in and get photos. I couldn't believe how clean the animals were! Loved it! The pig was adorable. I loved it here and would come back again next time I'm in the area. I absolutely loved the formations at the very beginning of the tour -first time I saw that and I REALLY loved the waterfall over the two flowstone formations. So gorgeous.

Awesome cavern site with family and kid-friendly things to do and see. Lots of parking. Great staff and customer service. We did the tour with maybe 12 people total and it was the perfect amount of people to easily move along and see everything without feeling rushed. The on-site restaurant is pretty good. The water mill is really cool. The rock shop and candle shop and fun to see, too.

This cavern is beautiful. But there are a LOT of stairs. At the end you will be forced to climb a 60ft. Spiral Staircase that is steep, so keep that in mind. DEAD BODY ALERT. You will see Squire Boon's Remains (his coffin is sealed but there are pictures). As long as you are respectful, you will be fine. But the Squire Boon curse is real, so please be mindful of it.

This is the best cave tour I've been on in Indiana. We were the only ones in our group, which was actually nice. Our guide, Izzy, was very informative and friendly. We also fed the animals and mined for gemstones. Both were fun little add ons. I would recommend this cave if you are in the area!

Beautiful cavern that is well maintained and cared for. The staff are friendly and informative. Guide (Iggy) did a great job in explaining the history of the grounds and the different rock formations. This cavern is a great place to take the family for a weekend trip.

Went for my fiance's birthday. We a great experience. Wish the cave was a little longer and the ziplines weren't by reservation only but everything else was perfect. Staff was very friendly and everything was very clean. Definitely would go again. However if you cannot do stairs I wouldn't suggest going in the cave. 85ft of spiral staircase is no walk in the park.

We thoroughly enjoyed visiting this area. The cave tour was nice with lots of good information. The formations were quite lovely. The underground waterfalls were really stunning. They had a great gift shop and other things that kids can enjoy.

Great caverns to tour. Absolutely stunning sights. Our guide was very enthusiastic, but wasn't able to answers all questions. Some rescued farm animals, but not much else to see around since the mill was closed. Price is a bit steep.

Best out of Indiana caverns, blue spring, and marengo. The cave guide Malachi (hope I spelled that right) is friendly and good at answering questions and educating about the cavern and the history behind it. Besides the caverns they have goats and pigs who are super friendly and cute. Also other activities that I'm sure will be available after the pandemic. I will definitely be going back.

Seriously, do not miss this cave! It's gorgeous, beautiful features. We happened to arrive right behind a school tour so had to wait a bit for our tour but well worth it.

My daughter and grandsons really enjoyed our tour of Squire Boone Caverns. Everyone was very friendly and the entire property was clean. We spent over 3 hours walking around looking at the different parts of the property and still didn't get to see everything. The petting zoo was really fun as well as the cave itself. Definitely will be making another trip.

We ran across this place while traveling through Indiana & since my husband is a descendant of Israel Boone (Daniel & Squire’s older brother)we decided to check it out. We were so glad we did! Mallory was our cave guide. Denise helped us at the gift shop and Floyd was a fount of information regarding the Gris mill. Everybody there was so nice and friendly. The cave there is really beautiful and did not trigger my claustrophobia at all. They have a little petting zoo for kids. A rock shop and a sweet shop & small diner are there. What a nice little spot. Stop by there if you’re in the area. It’s worth the detour.

The cave is beautiful as are the lands that sit above them. But even more beautiful are the people who work there. Friendly and very knowledgeable. As excited as my four year old was, they let us go on the tour early. Our tour guide, Molly, was fantastic. Knows her stuff and was very patient and kind. One of the more enjoyable outings I have been on with my family.

Great place to take the family. Besides the cave tour they have candle making, you cam sift for gems, feed and pet animals and a few other things.

Go for the cave tour, the rest is just filler. This was a super unique cave, I've been through a lot of caves but this one was different. Lots of water and tons of cave formations. We really enjoyed the cave tour. The tour guide could have been more knowledgeable but really this cave is just super fun to walk though. They light it up in a fun way and it's very well kept up. As for the rest, most of the other buildings were closed. The rock shop, candy store etc were all pretty lackluster. Don't come here for the other "stuff". Unless you have much younger kids it's a waist of time. However, the cave tour was definitely worth the drive. The staff was super nice and the place is kept up really nicely.

This more than a cavern experience!! They have a whole historical site set up around the history of the cave! The underground waterfall is beautiful! The best is the honor and memorial to Squire Boone (Daniel Boone's brother) ❤❤

Cavern tour is was wonderful! The guide was very pleasant and very informative! She also has a unique skill of walking backwards as she addressed the troop of tourist. The rock and gift store is full a countless treasures. Would recommend to all ages! A must see to a appreciate!!

Beautiful Caverns and property with a rock shop, candle shop, fudgery and an old sawmill. It's a short hike to the cave and 75 plus steps to leave the cave, but it is worth it!

Malachi was a great tour guide. This is literally the prettiest cave I've ever seen. The formations are amazing. The lighting to accentuate the formations is incredible.

Awesome little place off the beaten path! Takes about an hour to walk through. Good place to take your kids, can let them play on the play ground and feed the goats.

We happened to see a sign for Squire Boone Caverns while traveling down the interstate. We decided to stop on a Monday afternoon. Very few people on the tour with us, but we didn't mind that. The cave was beautifully lit and Don did a great job leading the tour. I really enjoyed it. Outside of the summer and during the week not all of the on-site attractions are open. We were OK with that, but just a heads up. We visited the goats, took the cave tour, and even mined some gems. This was the combo ticket. I thought this was a hidden gem in the middle of the IN countryside.

This is a beautiful cave with lots of exquisite formations. The end of the tour is pretty strenuous with a huge spiral staircase to get back out. Malachai was a fun and informative guide. There were several shoppes here but they weren't open since this is off season.
