Everything about this historic trail is done right! It is well maintained and well marked. The historic markers, information, and photos along the way will completely enhance the trek for any local history or infrastructure geek. The collection of several short trails is essentially a series of sections combined to make a complete one-mile loop. The various sections are what remains of old trolley lines and carriage roads Perfect for an afternoon hike. With the historic vibes, this trail is highly recommended. Two cautions: The trail leads down abs back up a semi-steep ravineβ€”ray for most. Only room for about five cars at the trailhead.

This place is amazing, really enjoyed ourselves, not really for very young children especially when wet. It was a little more experience required for a 1 year old. Has history and the scenery is beautiful. A great chance for beautiful pictures. Quiet, peaceful, hike. Just a word of advice if it rained the day before it is very slippery. My favorite part of the trail is definitely Beaver Hill.

Was a neat hidden gem. Learned a lot of interesting history of the area through all the historical photos all over the place. Lovely walking path, but it is not a good trail for handicap people, though. I have 2 bad knees, and it about did me in. However, it was worth it. It was clean, well kept, and not much trash. No bathrooms either so go before you get there. Also, you don't need tickets for this. It's open for the public.

It is not yet fall.. it is the long long hot summer with no rain and it’s 90 degrees BUT we had a really enjoyable walk and we still found photo worthy views. Also my husband who has lived in New Albany all his life had never been here and was amazed what he learned. There are numerous signs that tell the history of the trolleys that ran thru this area and a picture of an amazing huge home that has since burned. Go take a walk and enjoy the scenery. A nice gem in a small town!

Work is still being done at the trails. Overall it is a nice peaceful experience. The trail does include steep hills and narrow stone steps which can be slippery.

Really enjoyed this little trail in New Albany. Very peaceful and quiet with lots of information about the old trolley. Hike was not strenuous, and makes a nice loop. Be aware of roots coming out of the ground though, I tripped after getting my foot caught in one and twisted my ankle pretty badly.

Nice and quiet! Good hiking, some of the trails are slick, but have handrails.

The trail is only about 1 mile long, but plenty of wildlife to see and a little bit of history to learn along the way. My family was in from out of town and really enjoyed this short hike. Not handicap friendly.

Beautiful interpretive trail. Don't go if it's wet. A little hilly dirt trail.

Beautiful trail. Perfect for when you need a hike, but can’t get out of town.

This has to be the coolest trail in the area. An old railcar track and multiple old roads have been transformed by years of forest growth. Now it's a fantastic nature preserve and trail! Beautiful and wild.
