Usually We are Embassy Suites people when we are out of town but I chose this hotel because it connects to the YUM center. When first arrived the line was ridiculously long bit that was no problem because it moved fast. We upgraded to a suite for the 3 days we’ll be here so of course it was more money. We get to the room and it’s gorgeous, nice view and worth the money. Well then we find out the knob is broken in the refrigerator and it’s no cool. I call down to the front desk and he said he would send maintenance up. We waited around for about an hour or so for him to come just in case we have to move and he still isn’t here. We leave and by the time we get back the knob is replaced and the refrigerator is cool. Next issue we have no wash cloths so I have to shower with the hand towel. When I get out of the shower I tell my fiancé to call the front desk again to have someone bring up some wash cloths. The guy ask him how many does he need and he says send at least 4. Someone comes up with 6 in about 10-15 minutes. Galt House do better especially with the price of your rooms.

The newly remodeled room was VERY nice. Comfortable, spacious bathroom, but NO MICROWAVE. Sitting area was very nice, large sofa, desk and work area. Needs a more easily accessible charging station for electronic devices. Check-in lines were 30 people deep. More stations should have been opened. Lines did move fairly quickly and personal were efficient and personable. Each employee I asked for help was helpful and friendly. We ate lunch in Walkers Exchange. I ordered a Caesar Salad for $9. I got a plate of chopped Romaine lettuce with a little cheese sprinkled on top. Very disappointing and way overpriced. The fried green tomatoes were excellent. chicken and dumplings was lunch special. Dumplings were pretty good, but no chicken and the “sauce/gravy/gruel” seemed to be only cream of chicken soup. Really? If I’m paying chef meal prices, I expect above average dishes. We did not get them.

Way over priced. I travel for a living and spend 70% of my time in hotels. Pretty much any Holiday Inn Express is much nicer and way cheaper. Good luck with parking if you drive a larger vehicle. The garages cannot accommodate you and the people at the front counter offered little help. I was told to pull around to a gate and call a number and they would open the gate for me. I called 3 times waited 15 minutes and finally just had to just go with valet. I’ll never understand how hotels can charge $300+ per night and not even have a decent set of sheets on the bed. I honestly thought they had a plastic cover of some sort on the bed. Up of further inspection it’s just really cheap sheets that appears to have been soaked in starch. Worst of all it looks like there is a big blood stain on the mattress cover that is visible through the sheets. Even if there is a layer between the stain and me. That’s just nasty and is enough to make a person not want to sleep in the bed.

We came to town for a big youth technology conference and we called ahead because we knew we were going to arrive late. The person we spoke with about the late check in started out a little rough and without the customer service and courtesy we expected. Once we arrived the bed was not made and there was a key on the nightstand. As a result they put us in another room - but not a family suit like we had booked and paid for. The next day we went to the front desk and they switched us back to the appropriate room type. However, I don't think they credited us for the difference the first night? Anyway, the new room was perfectly fine and the staff was friendly and the on-site restaurants were pretty good. Overall, this was a great location because it was in walking distance to everything downtown and it was nice to walk along the river front.

Very nervous about my stay for tomorrow. Came here to read reviews before booking, saw mostly good so thought this is safe. Booked the hotel, submitted I’d be willing to pay for an upgrade via an email that was sent after my initial booking, received a couple other emails prior to my trip, all seemed good to go. Called today to confirm if there’s anything we should note since we’re bringing a dog and making sure they’re aware of that in case there’s a specific floor we’ll need to be placed on and was given attitude that I even called. Apparently the website should’ve been all the assurance I needed since it said “pet friendly”. Some hotels have weight limits, breed exceptions, room type restrictions, but I was apparently an unintelligent time waster for double checking these things with a live member of their staff. Also was given a hard time about my confirmation number I received from my email being incorrect and I shouldn’t have trusted that email and should have logged into the website to pull that info as well. Apparently trusting my confirmation email received the day before my check in is an incorrect way of going about things with this company. Do I know why it’s incorrect? Absolutely not, I’m not the one that sent it to me. I’m about to drive 12 hours with a baby and a dog and just wanted to make sure I would have the most minimal amount of bumps in the road during check in and my call today makes me want to cancel and book elsewhere. Very much hope whoever gave the rest of you such great service is there tomorrow instead of who I spoke with today. She was rude, unhelpful, and is making me want to book elsewhere last minute which was the last thing I needed today.

Service has been better this stay! Our room has been cleaned and tidied up too. Rooms are recently renovated with more modern decor. Food options are limited and the walkway snack shop closes way too early which forces everyone to use the bar which isn’t feasible for everyone especially teens. Meeting spaces were well kept and easy to use for the most part but the rooms were either ice cold or hot. Which it was summer but… over much more pleased this time around. Glad they fixed issues of last year

Other than the view, I’m really unimpressed. In town for an event at the KICC and my room was stocked with 1 bath towel - no washcloths, hand towels, or bath mats - and I’m not really sure it wasn’t already used. The shower curtain and doors are dirty with various stains and the bathtub wouldn’t drain so I got a foot soak trying to shower. Lastly, I cut my leg on the bed where the framing was sticking out past the box spring. Can I move the mattress and box spring to avoid this, yes, but I didn’t realize it was sticking out until I hit it. I can’t help but feel like I’m going to leave with an infection between the half-a**ed cleaning and the various ways I’ve now been exposed to who knows what. I travel a lot so I’m used to not needing services and house keeping, I’m used to shops being closed or having weird hours since COVID, and I’m used to a lack of services and employees being available. But for a place to be so packed due to an annual event in the area that there are lines to get on the elevators and extra security everywhere I’d think they could have been better prepared to accommodate their expected guests and at least stock their rooms for a normal occupancy. It’s hard enough staying in a hotel when you think about all the germs you could be exposed to and the last thing you want to feel when staying somewhere is that ick factor, but I can’t get rid of it at this point and I’ve only been here one night. I was really looking forward to staying here for my first time in Louisville but now I can’t wait to leave and will be choosing a more reasonable place with a solid reputation because I prefer cleanliness over a view of the fireworks show so I’ll be finding somewhere else to stay next year when I have to come back.

Checked in Friday around 11:30pm on memorial weekend, there was a surprisingly long line, it went by quickly. The gracious receptionist checking us in gave us an upgrade to a huge King Suite with with great views of the river! Bed was comfy, AC was perfect, huge bathroom!! The only downside is the blankets and sheets. There was an extra blanket in the closet of the living room, which was great, but the sheets are a little lackluster in comparison to the rest of my experience. The other hotel goers were always friendly, the elevators are quick and fun, the pool is open, and if you do stay, you have to eat at Swizzles, you’d be missing out if you didn’t!! The East and West Tower concept is slightly confusing at first and parking is confusing the first time as well. We just did valet, $40/day and didn’t have to worry about it. The Galt House Hotel has been the perfectly located place to call home for the weekend! This was our first trip to this beautiful little city and we have had such a great time!!

My wife and I were in town for a graduation and this hotel did not disappoint. The lobby areas were new and refreshed, the rooms were clean and the restaurants were tasty. It was an extremely busy time to be visiting but I felt it was one of the best hotels I've been to. If we're ever in town again, I will definitely be booking a room here. Helpful tip: park in the hotel garage using the hotel entrance.

We are already looking forward to next winter with The Galt House. The rooms were cozy. We always bring our blankets so we didn't have to worry about being cold. The beds don't have any thick blankets to keep warm but we adjusted the thermostat and were quite warm after we closed the door. The concierge was hospitable and friendly. The front desk was more than willing to accommodate our needs. You will have to pay for parking which is expected. The room rate was so low that we didn't mind paying for one night's stay. Thanks for a great experience.

First off, the hotel itself is very cool. Driving up is awesome. The staff that we encountered was great. I think that’s where the positives end for us. Self parking as a first time guest was pretty confusing. The elevators smelled like cigarettes. The room was nice but not nearly as fancy as we were expecting for the price. The bedding may as well have been craft paper; every time my wife and I moved at night I’m pretty sure the people in the next room could hear it. The water pressure and temperature in the shower was very inconsistent. And the A/C unit would kick on for two minutes and then shut off and repeat that process the entire night. We won’t be staying here again.

This hotel is bar none, my absolute favorite and I was so sad to leave. We booked a 2 bedroom suite with private balcony in the east tower. The view of the Ohio River was spectacular. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was super friendly. Gerard, our bellhop, was so welcoming. We stayed here 9/2-9/4. The valet service was worth every penny and not a single hotel worker expected a tip, but was gracious and thankful when given one. The Conservatory was a great place to watch the NCAA games and grab a drink while enjoying the city views. I spent most of my time on the balcony because the view was that amazing. My family and I really enjoyed ourselves and are coming back next year, booking the same room and staying longer. Louisville has my heart now, because of this experience!

Very friendly staff, easy check in, rooms was clean and comfortable. Access to the Yum Center was great. Valet service was fast and friendly. Close to "whiskey row". Cons: In room safe on the top shelf of bedroom closet, terrible access for a short person. (I'm 5'2" and had trouble) Room service is non-existent. Ordering take-out from restaurant in the hotel wasn't an option either, they wouldn't even answer the phone. All in all a pleasant experience. We'd stay here again.

Location great and safe. Renovated spacious room nice view of the river. Attitude of employees sad. Abrupt, not helpful, rude. No Maid service first day, second day lousy. Two of three restaurants out of necessary food items, poor service, food cold. Elevator took 1/2 hour at checkout as 1-2 elevators broken. If English is second language, teaching hotel terms would b helpful. And hotel rates were as if fully staffed. A long way from southern hospitality I expected.

Stayed 3 nights, each day they cleaned the room, fresh towels. TV wasn't working they fixed quickly. Staff all very nice as well. Walking distance to everything downtown and nice bars, restraunts in house as well. Only down side was the additional 30.00 daily parking. Did also appreciate the added security of needing the room key to access elevator. Wish we would of upgraded to room with a view. Ate at Swizzles, which was fantastic and Down One, good food and drinks, just a couple days open so staffing issues

We wanted a nice getaway to Louisville and called the Galt house to reserve a one room suite with two queen beds. The beds were not queen. There was only one light blanket and two sheets per bed. No outlets near the bed and the hotel must not observe quiet hours. I’ve stayed in NYC and not had the noise that I endured at this hotel. I didn’t sleep a single wink due to a he uncomfortable beds, lack of bedding and partying upstairs.

We stayed at The Galt House Hotel for a dance competition this past weekend. I left my daughter's 3 dance costumes in the closet of the hotel room. I called and spoke with Ty in lost prevention. Ty was so kind and helpful. He was prompt in sending me and email to fill out the form for the lost items. I asked if he could send someone up just to see if it happened to still be in the closet. He said yes and told me to call back in 5-10 minutes. When I called back he said they found the costumes. He kept me in the phone to confirm the items as they hadn't actually made it to him yet. We confirmed they were what I was missing. He then promptly sent me the email to get the shipping information. He even called me back to let me know the best way he could fit them without damaging the costumes. Ty was friendly, personable, and understanding. Thank you so much Ty! You have saved me from having a heartbroken child and a terrible conversation I would have had to have with our dance studio. Our stay was very nice, room was clean, hotel was very friendly. Great locations to Convention center and other downtown venues. Will be staying again if we end up in Louisville again.

At first glance, the hotel seems very nice. Walked into our room and the smell of stale cigarette smoke was overwhelming. Toilet seat wasn’t clean. Hair in the sink. Thick dust/dirt in the A/C grill. The elevator from the parking garage up to the lobby was disgustingly dirty and wreaked of cigarettes. Come on people! Do better. I would never stay here again.

Hotel common area was clean, and the staff was polite and friendly. Room was nice and well laid out. Over all a good experience. Couple critics; one the sheets on the bed felt like sail cloth. Very still and loud when you moved. Lastly I found it discouraging that I was charged for parking. It came to almost a third of the room rate. I would maybe stay there again.

Solo female traveller Overall great stay! The location was convenient for where I needed to be. The rooms were clean and spacious with fantastic views. I ate lunch at the Walker restaurant, if you have a restricted diet there aren’t many options the food I did get was drenched in oil/butter. I didn’t get to use the pool, they only have an outdoor pool and unfortunately it was closed for the season.

I recently stayed at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, KY, and my overall experience was a mix of highs and lows. Let's start with the positives—the hotel itself is lovely, with well-maintained rooms and a clean bathroom. I had no complaints about the cleanliness of the facilities, and there were plenty of towels provided, making my stay comfortable. However, the check-in process turned out to be quite challenging. I used the platform Uplift to pay for my reservation, but upon arrival, I discovered that I had been charged twice for the stay. It appeared that the hotel had charged the entire amount instead of utilizing the Uplift platform as intended. This led to a bit of frustration as I had to wait to speak with the manager to resolve the issue. I decided to call the front desk for assistance, and unfortunately, encountered a young man with a less-than-friendly attitude. This added to the initial inconvenience of the double charge. Thankfully, upon discussing the matter with the manager in person, we were able to rectify the situation promptly. Despite the initial hiccup during check-in, the remainder of my stay was enjoyable. The clean and well-equipped room, coupled with the satisfactory bathroom amenities, contributed positively to my overall experience. In conclusion, while I faced challenges during the check-in process, the Galt House Hotel managed to redeem itself with a comfortable and pleasant stay once the initial issue was resolved.

I nearly missed out on this fantastic room, but a quick check on ʜᴏᴛᴇʟᴅᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ made all the difference. We just returned from our trip here this past weekend. Our room was clean and spacious, the beds were very comfortable. Checking in and finding parking was quick and easy. The elevators were super fast and had a windowed wall, so going up and down them was pretty cool. The restaurants and bars on site are all great and are definitely worth a visit (or two!) The location is easy to get to and within walking distance of many attractions. We will definitely be staying here if we ever find ourselves in Louisville again. Thank you for the hospitality!

I enjoyed my stay here. I want to point out that this is a business and vacation hotel above all else. I’m originally from Florida and I don’t vacation away from my hometown state much at all but I have learned about hotels while staying in many. I was already visiting my mother’s side of the family when I stayed here for the “Louder Than Life” concert and a Downtown festival they were having in town at the time. I could hear the “Belle of Louisville” riverboat jingle from my room so I enjoyed that little bit. The view was incredible with a balcony to view the outside. It’s more modern inside with an older look outside but you get that feel from it upon entering. It’s still a great experience for Downtown. You’re right by the river so it doesn’t get much better than that! The room, bed and bathroom were very clean. There’s a pool and exercise room so it doesn’t become a boring stay. It’s a spacious hotel as well to fit numerous guests coming and going. That is why they have the large parking garage but you have to pay for parking. I’d say that’s the only downside because you’re already paying for the room. It provides the basic needs of a hotel by the riverside plus amenities.

This is coming from experience of someone who spent 2 months in the Galt house for work. Rooms were provided with 0 service not a single time did anyone come by and vacuum. The stove has been broken since May and the toilets clog unless you hold down the handle for about 30 seconds. There was a time that puke was in the hallway and stayed there for longer than a day no sign, no one cleaning it up. Homeless people are allowed to walk around and inside the building one of which was naked outside searching bins. I was surprised to hear this is a 4 star hotel. The best part about the hotel was the location.

I picked this hotel for a quick girls trip. We booked a 2 queen suite while traveling there we received a call for an “upgrade” . We all we excited about how it sounded. When we arrived the space looked as if I was staying at my grandparents house in the early 90s. We are all professional women whom own our of homes. We have a standard of “I will not stay anywhere that is less than my home.” I wish I could remember the name of the staff that helped us because they were amazing at adjusting our “upgrade” once that issue was resolved the stay was amazing. We were on the same kind of room we originally reserved. Water view was amazing. Location 10/10. Only negative to the stays was not the hotel it was the loud riverboat music Saturday morning after enjoying the hotel perks Friday evening

I truly don’t understand the hype. Upon checking in, the front desk asked for my card to charge me the full price of the stay that I had already prepaid for. Had I not questioned what they were charging me for, I would have been charged twice for the same stay. The hotel boasts about being the largest hotel in the area, but has absolutely zero parking, which leaves you left paying a $40 valet fee or a $30 self parking fee at a nearby parking garage that the hotel claims they have no affiliation with. The amenities of this hotel are no different than your typical standard hotel and the rooms aren’t anything spectacular. While some issues may be excusable at a lower scale hotel, I expected to find better at a hotel that claims to be so well renowned. There was a wet spot on the carpet in our room, a stain on both the wall and the bed, no liners in the trash cans, and hairs strewn about everywhere in the bathroom. Had it not been so late when I checked in, I would have said something. But my child was asleep upon arrival and I didn’t have time to request a room that was actually clean. I would definitely recommend staying elsewhere.

This is a nice hotel. The rooms were big and clean and very enjoyable. The room felt very laid back in the dark. This place also had some good food. The elevators were lightning quick and they felt like a roller coaster when they went up or down. I did have some bad experiences though. First of all, there was a family who sounded like they had a small kid and was running around their room and screaming. They did this until about 11 at night. Second of all, allegedly, some dumb kid pulled the fire alarm on the floor that I was on as a prank and scared all of us and the whole floor had to evacuate the building. I was furious when I heard that a kid did it on purpose. I also saw the fire department pull up but then left since it was a false alarm. Neither of those were the hotel's fault, but it was still a nuisance to deal with. The price for the overnight parking in their garage was a bit ridiculous, but at least the car was safe. Besides those, the hotel is great. It is huge and nice inside.

Literally none of the numbers on the room phone work ... not front desk, room service or house-keeping. I called the hotel on my cell phone and when they realized I was staying in the hotel vs. booking a room, I was informed there is no phone service of any kind. Apparently service in today's hospitality world is nonexistent, regardless of the fact that we pay as much or more than ever. This is why I don't do hotels any longer!

I am really disappointed in the service at The Galt House. I was looking forward to a wonderful stay there and was looking forward to enjoying the hotel. I did appreciate that we got a bigger room but there were no wash clothes or hand towels. Then when we called customer service to bring us some so we could take a shower before bed they never came so after about 30 minutes my husband called again to ask and again customer service stated they were on their way. And again no one came. We ended up falling asleep and my husband had to walk down to customer service the next morning to get wash clothes and hand towels. For a hotel that costs $200-300 a night should really work on their customer service skills. I have had way better service at 2 and 3 star hotels that only cost $100 a night. Then at check out they tried to over charge us. Now for the service at the restaurant Walker's Exchange and The Swizzle was amazing.

Love the room updates. Check in was excellent and speedy. The location and history is the draw. Over priced but clean. Beds need to improved. Don't leave without taking a stroll in the park, beautiful!

The room we stayed in was beautiful, clean and as we expected. My issue is, there’s ZERO room service. No I didn’t ask about this beforehand because, well, it’s a hotel and it’s not cheap. We wanted coffee. There’s a keurig in the room but there’s no cream or sugar. My option was to go to the third floor (which I did) to the Starbucks but there was a line 100+ people deep. Second option (I didn’t do this) was to go to the main floor, outside across the street, up 2 floors, get the coffee, go back down 2 floors, outside, across the street and then back up to our room. It’s 7:15 a.m, we’re on vacation. For the amount of money that we spent for 2 nights, I should be able to get something as simple as a couple pots of coffee sent to our room with cream and sugar. We’re on vacation and wanted to rest in our room and enjoy the view without having to get dressed and traipse around at 7am just for coffee… Update: I went back down to Starbucks, got the coffee. Get to the elevator. My hands are full with 2 carrying cases of very hot coffee. You need to hold your key to scan so you can click the button for your floor. See where I’m going with this. Terrible terrible terrible set up

I had to stay here for a night because my power was out because a severe storm. I had to tap into my savings and pay over $300 for 1 night and it wasn't even a full day. This is supposed to be a historic hotel but it the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I requested a crib for my baby at check in. Didn’t receive it until over 3 hours later after calling 2 more times asking for it and it was left by my door without any notice. We weren't given blankets or linens after asking for 3 hours, we had 1 washcloth for 5 people. Then after three hours had passed they said they were out of clean blankets even though we asked when they had plenty in stock. Our second key card wasn't even activated and another guest's key card was set to our room which allowed a stranger to walk in on my child half dressed and it wasn't noted in the booking that parking was an extra $30. We also had no garbage bags anywhere in the room so I had to go find a housekeeper to ask for garbage bags for our trash that had to set out all night. The staff was very short with us and it seemed like they were annoyed we asked for the simplest things that should've already been in our room the first place besides the crib. I would never recommend or stay at this hotel ever again. The only positive thing is the manager was actually nice and offered his apologies and to refund our money so I do appreciate that.

It’s a great hotel with very cool history but way way way over priced. I’ve stayed here a couple times over the past years, prior to the more recent renovations and after. The newer rooms are very nice and up to date. Everything you need in a hotel room. The place is massive so be sure to have luggage with wheels or utilize the trolly cart for bags. The pool is pretty big and a nice area to be around. The gym too is decent. Its location is pretty ideal for being in the city. Many things to do around the hotel that are walking distance. Multiple restaurants can be found in the hotel, all are pretty good. The best is swizzle with the turning floors so you can see all the views out of the windows. I really would give this hotel a 5 star but it’s really bot fair solely because of the price per night. Many other options around that are cheaper in the same location.

My boyfriend and I stayed here four nights for our last summer getaway. The hotel was really pretty, and the room was nice and clean. The location was great, in walking-distance of most Main Street attractions, restaurants, etc. The staff, in general, were friendly and helpful. The food and drinks at Jockey Silks and Swizzle were pretty good; although over priced, as to be expected at most hotels. The only complaint we really had was the pool area. It looks like it has been neglected for about 15 years. It has a lot of potential, but needs a major face-lift. There was trash strewn about, weeds, and overall just appeared very run-down compared to the rest of the hotel. The other downside to the pool area is that it is right over the highway, making it very loud and un-relaxing even if the area had been updated.

Not worth the money. From the moment we checked in, I knew it wouldn't be a good stay. The customer service representative who checked us in did not attempt to explain the property. We asked for a luggage cart, and she said, “they are across the street.” We asked about parking, and she couldn’t explain that either. The rooms were pretty clean. Don’t turn on the TV; you might get five stations. Granted, the bars and restaurants that are on the property are lovely. I feel that $1000 for two nights is not worth that type of money to stay here. There are a lot of nicer new hotels in the area that would probably appreciate you staying with them.

We booked a room for $292/night + taxes + parking fee There was no microwave oven in our room. We were suggested to go to the 1st floor from our 8th-floor room to warm the milk for our child. The hair dryer was not working. The telephone in the room was not working. I had to use my mobile to call the front desk. We have been working and staying in Kentucky for almost 6 months. We were very impressed by the southern hospitality so far. However, this three-night stay came to us as an utter shock.

I understand the hospitality industry is short-staffed and some people are trying their best, but this hotel needs some big improvements. We stayed at the Galt House for 4 nights. The first room we had did not come with a refrigerator. I can go to a Holiday Inn and a refrigerator is standard in all rooms. Here? Nada. Well, we needed a refrigerator for my son's medications, so they moved us to a different room that had a refrigerator. We get in the room and the refrigerator is broken. Maintenance came and replaced the whole unit (Thank you!). Also in this room, the toilet paper holder separated from the wall, there was water damage from a leak in the bathroom ceiling and the corner had a stained and missing ceiling tile. We are a dairy-free family due to my son's allergy and the restaurant on site had minimal options. The hotel sits on the Ohio River, but only a small fraction of rooms view the river. Otherwise, you see concrete city. It's great that there are so many rooms at the hotel, but it doesn't seem like they are able to keep up with the maintenance of them. If we are ever back in Louisville, we will probably find a different place to stay.

Hotel is ok, not high end but good location. Run down and extremely busy. Caters to large crowds it seems. Had an upgrade which was nice but then started hearing booming music from next door at 11:30 pm. Called security twice which thankfully they came up and did try to fix the issue but the neighbors just started hanging out in the hallway screaming and partying instead. Sleepless night. I realize hotels don’t have control over the clientele necessarily, but again, it seems to cater to a large rowdy crowd. Too big for it’s own good but our fault for picking it I guess. Very overpriced for the product.

My family and kids stayed at the Galt House. Elmer Curry was amazing, he helped us with our luggage and was very polite. He Elmer is very Knowledgeable of the whole area of downtown Louisville, places to eat, shop and entertainment. The Galt House is very lucky to have someone like that as a Staff Member. May us feel very comfortable. Very Clean and I love the updates to the Hotel. Great Hotel especially the staff Elmer especially

Called ahead and arrived a little before check-in time was happily accommodated by staff . Valet parking was easy and hassle free...... Signage was lacking (hotel info , evacuation routes, having to scan qr code to get info isn't very convenient) . Cleaning Details were on the below average side (perimeter and corners of room still had an accumulation of dirt. Under furniture cushions was the same) Yeah most people probably wouldn't notice but I do. Had Corner Room with a river view, which was beautiful especially at night. Would/will Stay Again

I always enjoyed staying at the Galt House when I was in Louisville. The river view, combined with comfortable lodging and the cozy warmth of the conservatory gave me plenty of places to work, people-watch, or just sit and relax. The conservatory has been renovated and, like too many businesses trying to capture a more "modern" vibe, has become a cold, stark, almost clinical space. There is very limited comfortable seating, but a plethora of the almost unusable "modern" plastic furniture. There are no plants, no spaces for privacy, and no ambient lighting. The rooms are updated, and do look better, but are not excessively comfortable or convenient. Frankly, for the price, Galt House is no longer worth it for me.

So we booked the west tower but unfortunately there was no hotel staff on that side so you park in the garage on the west side but then have to walk to the east side to check in. We had a suite facing the river. Great view with a balcony. Room was very nice. Clean but still still had a few places they missed. Good parking.

The desk clerk, Moses, was extremely friendly and helpful to me. Very respectful, and I was really blown away that he made a point to remember my name and greet me -by name- each time I passed the desk. The hotel itself is incredibly designed and has lots to do in it. Moses even went above and beyond and called me to ensure that I had a smooth checkout process and that my expectations were met. Absolutely exceeded my expectations and I will be coming back. I travel a great amount in the military and have stayed at a lot of hotels; Overall, this is my favorite hotel experience throughout the US

👍👍 We were so impressed with our stay at this hotel. We stayed on a Tuesday night - so it was not busy but we did not expect how quiet it would be! It was awesome! We stayed in the King Suite - it was spacious, spotless and comfortable. Beautiful room. I’ll be honest - I’ve not been in a hotel so cl...
