Really nice. So nice I was surprised & commented so. The front desk man was cultured & offered coffee. Completely clean hall ways, elevators, and bathrooms. They don't use draconian towing if you by chance needed to park in a 20 minute slot. Three security guards were there. An inside swimming pool. Has a little convenient store area so you don't have to run anywhere. Having been to hundreds of motel/hotels where all of the above things needed some improvement, this is done right.

Stayed here for Thunder to avoid that chaotic traffic mess that ensues every year. Had a beautiful room, with a stunning view. My wife and I had a wonderful evening. If you are looking for a room with size, a decent sized shower stall, and comfortable beds look no further. The manager for this location is super nice, as well as all the employees. I will definitely be back for another stay.

Let me start with that the staff here was great, and the rooms were clean. Big positives there. The negatives were that the sink in the restroom in the room was so small I couldn't even get my hands in there to wash them. The coffee in the lobby always seemed to be out, and the only coffee available in the rooms was decaf. Even after checking with the front desk, nothing but decaf.

I'm a school bus driver and brought our high school jazz band down to play at the University of Louisville Jazz Festival. I was a little hesitant because the parking lot looked pretty small on Google Maps. We were told there would be a spot sectioned off to park the bus. Not only was there a nice big spot sectioned off, but one of the hotel employees was out there to meet me and help me get backed in after dark Saturday night!! Super nice guy and extremely helpful after a long day of driving in tight City traffic! The room was huge and beautiful and clean!! I loved how the bathroom was separate from the shower. I wasn't there long enough to use it but I loved the big couch, microwave and refrigerator and also the shampoo conditioner body wash and blow dryer in the bathroom!! The full breakfast buffet was perfect when trying to get all 40 kids fed and back of the bus the next morning. The couple of employees I encountered were very cheerful and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again if in the area! Great job!

I absolutely loved this facility. The letter cation was perfect for our National Masters Indoor Track Championships. I had a room on the 9th floor with a breathtaking view at night. There was plenty of space for the office area and miniature break area. Loved the separate room for the water closet and shower. The beds were super comfortable along with the choice of pillows. My asthma was not affected by the drapes or carpet. Parking cost $19 a night but it was worth it to be parked in a safe place out of the elements. I did not use the gym or breakfast. I felt very safe here. I definitely would stay here again. Respectfully, Ambassador Dr. Angela J. Nealy, B.S., M.S., Ph.D. Masters Track and Field National Indoor Championship Athlete March 2023

Decent price; could've been better considering the updates needed. Hotel looks downtrodden in several areas. Rooms need updating but are reasonably nice and accommodating; pool was never opened the entire stay and breakfast was barely existent. One more thing: the homeless population around the hotel made it difficult to travel. Very persistent and after dark the area seemed too rough for my family to go outside of the hotel.

It was a decent place to stay for a night. The shower in our room wasn't very clean and there was a stain on one of the bed covers. One of the closet doors was missing which isn't a big deal but just makes me wonder how well they upkeep. Parking is kind of a pain. It was noisy at night and there was a fire station about a block away so there were sirens going quite a bit. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was a little disappointing but it is a free hotel breakfast so we weren't expecting a 5 star restaurant. Pool is tiny. Overall it wasn't terrible but we would probably find a different hotel if we ever come back to the area.

We stayed here during our weekend visit to KY Kingdom. We really enjoyed the shuttle provide for KY Kingdom. However, that's about the best part of our stay. Reservation was for a room with 2 tvs (for us and kids), but they said they didn't have any of those. Mattress was incredibly uncomfortable. Reserved a room for 4 people but was given 2 pillows and 2 towels. Had to go to front desk for more (they wouldn't bring to room). Sunday morning breakfast was decent but Monday morning breakfast was a disaster. Only offered eggs and bacon for hot food (head turkey sausage, biscuits and gravy available on Sunday). The milk was warm and smelled odd. The oatmeal didn't have enough water and was thick like paste. There was no fruit or breads of any kind available at 9am and no workers found. Another resident pulled a bag of plain bagels out of the kitchen. At 9:30, the workers cam in and are the last of anything that was left and then put up condiments, silverware and turned of the juice machine. The dining area was still full of at least 3 families trying to finish breakfast. With the amount we had to pay to stay this weekend, this was in very poor taste.

I came to Louisville because my mother was in the hospital recovering from surgery. I chose SpringHill because it was close to the hospital and offered complimentary breakfast. I stayed here several times at varying lengths over the course of a month. I hope to one day visit Louisville just for fun and stay here again. The full breakfast has enough options to satisfy anyone. There is almost always coffee/tea/water available in the lobby. The guest laundry room is well maintained. Laundry supplies, beer, and snack foods are available to purchase in the lobby. If you have a car there is plenty of parking. Most importantly, the staff are friendly and helpful. If you need something for your room or advice on where to eat they are always available. The only thing that takes getting used to is housekeeping. They come every other day. Due to the circumstances of my visits I would lose track, but again the front desk staff were very helpful in helping me navigate this.

Some staff are friendly some are not. Got checked into a dirty room. They fixed it things were good but then got woken up in the morning by housekeeping. Even tho we had do not disturb on the door. And then when we finally got back to sleep maintenance came barging in didn’t even knock again still had the do not disturb up. Felt very unsafe in my own room thinking someone would charge in at any time. Def don’t recommend.

Very nice very clean very convenient because my 3 year old had to be at Norton's the next morning for surgery only stayed one night paid for two rooms it was almost $350 the pool is supposedly heated but it was freezing cold we could not even swim in it and enjoy the one night we were staying couple days later I was charged $57 for parking??? I called to ask about the charges and was told that we had to pay $19 for parking and that there are signs at the front desk stating this there are no signs up front that say you have to pay for parking and we are not told when booking the room that you have to pay for parking or when you check in I have never been to a hotel and pay that much money for a room and also have to pay for parking we'll never go back. Was also told that if we informed them that we had to go to the hospital we could have parked for free and had the hospital rate. Pretty sure when I booked the room I told the receptionist that I was coming to bring my daughter there for surgery at Norton's and wanted to be as close as possible. The funny thing is when we first got there we waited for about 6 minutes for someone to come to the front desk and we searched the desk for bells to see if we can get someone to come and help us I think we would have noticed if there was a sign on the desk stating you have to pay for parking

Reasonably priced hotel for being downtown. The hotel room was clean and laid out very well for three people. The free breakfast has enough options for everyone's taste.

Wonderful spacious room, very quiet. Beds are comfortable with ample pillows. Wished I had a slightly thicker blanket though. Had seating area where we were able to gather and play games with the family. Also was glad to see they had security onsite all night. Was located just a couple blocks from the hospitals downtown which was great since we had to be up so early for surgery.

Hmmm. I’ve stayed at other Springhill Suites and they’ve been very nice. Generally on par with Hilton’s Hampton Inn. This was the exception. Upon arrival, we parked in the garage. The garage was filthy and there was trash on the ground. It could really use a good power wash. I wasn’t expecting the $20 a day parking fee, buts it’s reasonable enough for the location. The lobby is small, but works well enough. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and attentive. The lobby leading to our room was dated and a little dirty. The carpet was worn and the place is in need of an update. The room was decent, size wise. The bathroom was weird though. As others have noted, the toilet is in its own room with a tiny hand sink. The “shower only” is in a separate room with a standard size sink. Both have sliding barn doors. Sort of odd. The first night, the AC didn’t work correctly and we couldn’t get the room to cool off. This was fixed the second day and we had no additional problems. The bed was terrible. It was like sleeping on a box spring. I couldn’t sleep the first night with the stuffy room and the uncomfortable bed. The pillows, however, were better than many hotels. The included breakfast was pretty standard. The staff were pleasant and kept everything in stock. No issues there. We had friends who met us there for a night. They got a standard king room. Theirs had a regular hotel bathroom and I tried their bed, because they said it was comfortable, and it was markedly better than ours, maybe just avoid room #518 where we stayed? Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel and would never stay there again. I’m really disappointed Marriott is ok with having a property like this under their umbrella? There is a Hampton Inn directly across the street. It looked really nice, like most Hamptons. I would definitely stay there if I needed to be in Downtown Louisville again. I actually checked into moving after the first day, but due to the short notice, the room rate was $80 more per night. I wanna say it was +10 or 20 per night when I made the reservation. I had never had an issue with a Marriott before, so I figured why spend the extra money. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Spend your money elsewhere.

You may have a complicated view of this hotel. On the one hand its location and rate are excellent, on the other hand the property is a bit threadbare and a bit- sorry to say- dirty. The staff is very friendly and helpful but the beds are uncomfortable and the HVAC is awful. The fan blows on medium even if you turn the unit off. No vents in the bathroom and the toilet and shower are actually in two spaces. Fitness center has worn equipment and is not clean. The breakfast, which is part of the deal here, is absolutely not good. Stale breads. Rotten fruit left in the bowl. Little yogurt or milk and the reconstituted eggs are tasteless and runny. Maybe some bacon, but if it runs out they do not resupply. Like a waffle? Not here. The tables were not cleaned between guests-not one time in three days did I see a person with a rag and spray wiping them down. Anyway, I love Louisville and next time would stay across the street at the reliable Hampton Inn.

Not functional! I really wanted to like this hotel. My trip was a combo personal/business so I thought this was a perfect fit. It’s not. The room isn’t functional for more than 1 person because there’s no privacy! Bathroom: There’s a toilet room with a tiny sink and another room with the shower and bigger sink. Both bathroom doors are sliding doors with opaque glass - so not only NO soundproofing AT ALL but at night if someone dares to use the restroom the light brightens the room - it doesn’t help that the toilet room is directly in front of the bed. Plus the sliding bathroom door to the shower room wouldn’t even close all the way nor would the shower door! So water all over the floor every time a shower was taken. In addition, there’s no stopper for the glass shower door to prevent it from hitting the metal hook on the wall outside the shower. If I hadn’t noticed it the door could’ve shattered. I hope someone’s kids don’t accidentally do that. As if that weren’t enough there’s no where for a woman to put her leg if she wants to shave. Maybe not a big deal for some people but dang we are 50% of the population so a little consideration in that regard would’ve been appreciated. Room: There’s only 1 TV for both the sitting and sleeping areas - it swivels so excellent solution BUT it’s so small I literally couldn’t see the words on the screen. It was a joke. Lastly, regarding the room, there’s only one side table by the bed - which doesn’t have a lamp and the switch for the light above the bed is on the other side of the bed where there’s no table. So if you’re with someone then that person has to turn the light on and off but they don’t get a table to put their glasses or phone or anything or if you’re solo you have to roll to the other side to turn it off. I expect way more from a Marriott brand. Service: Everyone was very nice that is certainly part of the Marriott brand BUT I didn’t get housekeeping one single day (was there for 4 nights!) and I even asked about it but they sure were banging on my door the day of checkout. Breakfast: The free breakfast is what made me choose this hotel over another. It was NOT worth it. The options were awful and very limited and inconsistent. One day they’d have muffins but then nothing the next 2 days except day old eggs and toast and bagels. It would’ve been ok if their ‘pantry’ or market area actually had options but other than pot pies and some kind of frozen looking burrito and sherbet there wasn’t much to choose from. So plan to eat out for all meals. Noise: So loud. There’s very little - if any - insulation/sound barrier in the walls. I could everybody all day and night. Plus - what I didn’t know until the day I arrived is the hotel is in the direct landing path of airplanes and there are several hospitals within sight of the hotel so - ambulance sirens and airplanes all night long. I wound up leaving and found a much nicer, quieter and functional room elsewhere. It seems this hotel is mostly booked by families for sporting events and I imagine for 1 or 2 nights it’s manageable. But not for longer than that and NOT for business I’m afraid and certainly not if you want a restful and relaxing trip.

Very good. The location was perfect the staffs were very nice. The breakfast is good. There is coffee and tee corner was available all the time which i liked a lot. The only thing I don’t like it was the bed sheet it seems like not clean or maybe old that way they look dirty. However i like this hotel and it is this for me the best place to stay and i usually choose it in any cities. And it always will be my first choice.

Perhaps I was on the wrong floor, or maybe just didn't have the right housekeeper, but my room was not serviced either (I noticed someone else said that in their review). I stayed from Tuesday to Friday, and it was never cleaned! I had to call for clean towels and linen twice. It was very disappointing, especially since I called to the front desk to complain and was assured that someone would take care of the issue. In addition, breakfast, although well made, never provided an alternative to pork for the meat choices. In this day and age, it would seem that any property that serves a breakfast of this quality would give those of us who no longer eat red meat or pork, something else to enjoy. Again, I brought this to the attention of the front desk, and I was assured that there would be something different on the next day, and there was not. Although I understand things chang, it would have been a much better experience if staff would have been straightforward with me or at least, had followed up to see if their commitments had been kept.

This was my first visit to Louisville, and this hotel was a perfect introduction. It was easy to get to from the airport, spacious room and lots of great amenities. Will definitely be returning. Great value for your work or family time.

Remember to use HotelTully.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. This website will compare countless booking web sites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is one of the most well known in this area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't be let down. Very nice hotel with a decent breakfast. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. Would recommend the hotel to anyone. The only issue that I seen is the parking can get pretty tight if you have a larger vehicle.

Perfect hotel spot if you're in town for an event. Very clean with professional staff. Breakfast buffet was a good hit with our family with eggs, sausage, yoghurt, oatmeal bar, etc. Very pleasant stay!

My stay was great, the room was really cute and everyone was helpful and friendly. A special thanks to Ashley the second shift front desk employee, she was very helpful with every request I made of her. My only disappointments were needing to go to the other hotel's (the Fairfield had an easy and close indoor connection) 6th floor to get ice. Also, the breakfast only had hot meat products that were pork and there was no cream cheese for my bagel on that Sunday morning. Even then, they had a nice full size breakfast that was included which was nice. I would stay here again for sure.

My boyfriend and I had a close family member in the near by UofL hospital for a month. We live two hours away so we would stay at this hotel, as it's close to the hospital and not super expensive. We stayed a total of five times. At that point, the staff began to recognize us. The front desk team were all Fantastic! Breakfast team super nice. They always had fresh food and even a toaster! The rooms were always very clean. Bedding was super fresh and even smelled fresh. The team worked with us and added a couple nights easily to our stay and or a late check out when we had our kiddo too (we didn't want him at the hospital and needed a place to watch him). Overall, if we are ever in Louisville again, we will not hesitate to come back! The ONLY negative is the entrance to the garage is narrow and hard to navigate if people are turning out the wrong way. So becareful when parking! Other drivers fault, not the hotels though.

The breakfast was sparse, and dangerous to eat as the bread was stale and had mold on it. I'm glad my daughter noticed mold before she took a bite, whereas my son took a big bite and threw the rest of it out in disgust. The "hot" portion of the breakfast was just microwaved Jimmy Dean breakfast biscuits; no eggs, no waffles, no pancakes, no fruit, no bacon, no sausage. It was disappointing as that is one of the most exciting elements of a hotel stay, especially to kids. My wife wanted to get some coffee as we finished and left, and they didn't have any coffee prepared anywhere, either. The room itself was a good size and the beds were comfortable and seemed clean. The carpets throughout the room were old, dirty, and stained, though. Lastly, without notice, my credit card was charged $19 for parking despite being parked in an area out in front of the lobby with plenty of open spots, and only staying there from midnight to 9am. There was no mention I'd be charged to park there, especially as the front desk directed me to do so. Yet, I'd say the front desk staff was very professional and welcoming despite not mentioning the charge.

What a beautiful stay i had ar this hotel! The staff are very kind and caring, very professional! They are genuinely concerned about you and your stay at the hotel. As a first time to stay at hotel in Downtown I was very impressed. The house cleaning staff were very nice! The rooms are very clean! Beds are comfortable! I loved everything, the morning breakfast was amazing!! Kindly visit, you will get value for every dollar spent!! I'm already planning my next visit!! Even the parking was very helpful!! Thank you so much!!

While the room was nice, the service was poor. My room was not cleaned after the second day of staying there. I had to go ask for clean towels and washclothes. I understand that things have changed since the pandemic and it was a holiday, but service could have been better.

Very nice hotel with a decent breakfast. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. Would recommend the hotel to anyone. The only issue that I seen is the parking can get pretty tight if you have a larger vehicle.

Was skeptical when I saw the other reviews of this hotel, but this place is fantastic! Rooms are clean, staff are so helpful and friendly when providing restaurant and activity recommendations! The breakfast is great and consisted of lots of options including oatmeal, eggs, fruit, yogurt, etc. Free bottled water in the lobby all day is a great touch as it’s easy to grab right before an excursion. Bonus: there’s a cute little pool that’s great to relax in and tons of snacks for late night cravings in the lobby!

Working in town all week. Decided to stay at this hotel SpringHill Suites with my wife. To get rest after we worked hard opening a restaurant in downtown Louisville. I hate doing reviews but this took the cake. The hallways smell so bad my wife went and bought Breeze to spray it down. Because we hate complaining. we worked 14 hours today to comeback to the hotel that we payed good money every night to stay. no clean sheets no clean bad no clean room still the same stuff in the trash cans no clean towels no clean sheets no clean wash rags so I called down to the front desk. To see what was going on I was told that they only clean the rooms every 3 days that is absurd and gross especially with Covid and everything else going on do not even recommend it at all I asked to speak to manager was told one would be back Monday morning wow we are leaving in the morning

Just a couple of minor issues with the room, otherwise great visit! Christian at the front desk was great! When in doubt ask the man, he won't steer you wrong. All hotel staff were super nice and accommodating!

  • 5/5 Karen H. 1 year ago on Google
First of all Christopher at the front desk (in the evenings) is ABSOULTY BY FAR the BEST in customer care and concern. I can not say enough good about him!! A family member was in ICU at U of L hospital so we were VERY STRESSED, tired and upset and Christopher went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The room was clean, beds and pillows were very comfortable. I liked the idea of the shower and toilet being in separate rooms and the shower was so big. We stayed 2 nights and if we ever need to stay in Louisville again we will absolutely stay here and recommend to anyone.

  • 4/5 Rachel N. 1 year ago on Google
I've stayed here a few times before. It's centrally located for what I'm in town for. Walking distance to a few attractions as well, and not far from the visitors center. I love the fact you get a full complimentary breakfast here, but was a bit disappointed as they had little to no variety in the breakfast. Was it still good, absolutely! Would I have liked more selection, most definitely. Would it change my opinion on staying here again. No. Will absolutely book here again.
