Stayed last night. These are the issues with our room. - toilet did not work upon arrival. - the sink spit out gross, rusty water. - the ac did not work. - I was overcharged for bottled water. The sign read $3, I was charged $4. - saw roaches in the stairwell. The toilet did not flush and let the water down. It was awful. Rusty water from the sink and an ac that didn’t properly cool and roaches in the stairwell.

My daughter made reservations and when they got there they changed the price on her and wanted to charge $20 for them to park in the parking lot of the hotel they were staying in! They got to the room and it was filthy, it had hair all over the bed, gum on the desk and carpet, there was trash still in the room including a balloon and cup by the bed. They ask for a refund and they were told that they could not refund the room ( which they intended to leave and go elsewhere) that the best they could do was give them a different room, that room also had hairy sheets. They ask for clean sheets and took out their Lysol. This is completely unacceptable! Nasty, don't stay here!

Do not stay here. Kids came home with bug bites. We had to have all of our belongings professionally cleaned as to not bring bed bugs in our home. Three others in our group also had the same experience. Our room door would not close properly. When we alerted staff they said they were aware and nothing was done. A stranger walked into our room 3 times!!! Unacceptable.

Phenomenal breakfast. Deborah needs a raise. Stayed here on a spur of the moment trip due to a snow storm and hotel was extremely accommodating. Bed was comfy, front desk service was fine. In my experience the free complimentary breakfast is usually a wet paper bag or just a soggy piece of toast but not this time, oh no, this was creme de la creme. I’m not any Gordon Ramsey but the breakfast was as good as I’ve ever had at a hotel. The omelets were cooked to perfection. The sausage links had the perfect amount of crispy on them. French toast was like a gift from above. I ate three plates and let me tell you. I will be back.

I am an addict to the detail. Room 514 needs some work to be done to repair all the defects that are visible to a watching eye like mine. The entrance hallway, the room and the bathroom the shower door, all need attention. I see the air conditioning unit that is in the room as an old system and I think all rooms are similar. This is an old system and should be upgraded like the classy rooms of a superior quality. ======= Edit. Returned Friday night to the room to find it not cleaned and the bed was not done. No new towels were even placed. We will use the towels one more time. This is really unpleasant and bad publicity for a hotel like this. Sad. I was right to review it 3 stars only. Yes, I was right.

Not impressed with this one. Main floor was just fine. Weak spot in the floor of the elevator, got to room, water was cloudy out of the faucet, shower faucet was stuck. Bathroom door wouldn't close all the way, was unable to control the temp in the room, there was gum stuck on the side of the night stand and worst of all the frames of BOTH beds creaked like they were 200 years old. I have never stayed at a Hampton Inn like this. It was very disappointing. Would like our money back.

Stayed overnight due to flight cancellation . Strange odor on one of the beds pillows and my room # 434 had a strong smell of cat urine. I would never stay there again . Do not waste your time or money . Stay somewhere else. Absolutely the worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed at.

I arrived after 1am after traveling with my family. I had already digitally checked in at 7pm and got a digital key and chose my room. When I got there my room was dirty. When coming back downstairs to get with an employee nooone was available and a man who I guess was security told me we would have to wait 15min before the front desk agent came back. Then arrived and proceeded to take an additional 15min to get us a new room. When I asked him what was the hold up he rolled his eyes and told me he was taking care of it. I think he was trying to cover his mistakes. Then after the security guy let us in our room we never got keys issued to us. Then the front desk agent lied on my wife and said that we were disrespectful to him for being slightly annoyed with this situation. Then proceeded to tell me I shouldn't be mad that I checked into a dirty room because I was an employee and only paid $40 for the room. Then lied about a ton of stuff he was putting in his report. Basically in order to cover his own but this employee was willing to lie about me and my family. This hotel is a mess and so are the employees that work here. I'm very disappointed as how I was treated.

Decent. Room was clean and staff was great. It was a perfect location for walking downtime. Lower rating because my kids were excited to swim but the pool was not working. We didn't read that on the website, although I did read in the reviews on the way down here that it was down 3 weeks ago. I feel like that should be stated CLEARLY on the website.

I really enjoyed this hotel. My room was very updated and modern. The hotel staff was nothing but accommodating. Parking is great. Also, breakfast was plentiful. We also used this hotel for a group rate for an event and they were super helpful and accomodating through all our need. This is definitely a place I recommend visiting.

I had a pretty decent experience here. Stayed last weekend for a volleyball tournament. Room was clean and despite the location the area was pretty quiet. The front desk staff was super nice, my daughter left her Airpods and they found them and are shopping them which was awesome! The only issue I had was parking the lot was full by the time we got in so we had to find somewhere to park. Breakfast was decent. All in all a good stay for us and would stay again.

Had a 2 night stay booked. Woke up the first morning with bed bugs. Went to front desk to express concerns. Was moved to another room for the next night and given a refund for one night. Woke up the second morning to roach on the floor. Went to front desk but young lady said she didn’t have authority to refund any charges. Left a message for Manager to contact me. He left me a message stating he was adding points to my account. I don’t want points. I left a phone message with front desk but Manager has still not returned my call.

A bit pricey (approx $250 for 1 night, Thursday) compared to close-by, higher-rated hotels. Overall, a standard stay with no issues. The breakfast is not too tasty, but the attendant was extra courteous and fully attentive.

Check in felt like they would rather be anywhere but the reception desk. The room was very noisy, couldn’t turn the bathroom fan off & the street noise was horrendous all night. The air con was also noisy & ineffective so the room was too hot. No sleep. The cold water ran warm so not pleasant.

Very easy check-in. Staff are kind and friendly, breakfast was good, fresh, with plenty of variety. I am especially grateful to the hotel staff who returned my watch that I unfortunately left in my room. Jess at the front desk was amazing and helped to arrange for the watch to be mailed back to me.

Nice staff, but not a great location. If you have to stay here, make sure you don't stay in a room on the street side facing the Springhill... This hotel is just blocks away from a hospital and emergency room. Ambulances drove by blaring their sirens all night. I'm normally a deep and sound sleeper but I woke up with a jolt multiple times each of the six nights I stayed here because of the loud sirens. The walls are also very thin and you can hear your neighbors conversations and TV. By far the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed at. Also, each person in our party of 6 were charged a $10 daily parking fee, despite us telling the receptionist that we did not drive or park there at check in. I had to call and stay on hold with their corporate location for over 20 minutes to have the charge refunded. Also- I stayed here for six nights and only had the room cleaned/serviced by housekeeping once during my stay. And that one time they took all the soap, towels and shampoo for some reason and I had to get more at the front desk. Overall a negative experience and I don't recommend staying here.

The app would not work so we had to check in at the front desk only to have the clerk begin to use his personal cell phone, leaving us confused who he was speaking to. He was sarcastic and not very friendly. We were told hot coffee was available 24 hrs but when i went over to get a cup, both the dark and light roasted coffees were totally empty. There was no water available and even though we are Hilton honor members, we were not offered on the Hilton honor gift bags which the had sitting behind the front desk. Our room was clean but has had water damage from the roof and the repair job was pretty bad. The bed and room seemed clean and tidy. The bathroom was also clean but lacked bath towels which we called about and towels were brought to the room. We had no TV service and when we called the front desk, they stated they were having trouble, which lasted our entire stay which really sucked. We had to park in their back lot due to no other spaces being available and it was very dark. Not surprisingly, our vehicle was broken into and personal items were stolen. We will not be returning to this hotel ever again. The funny thing is, the clerk sarcastically stated that it was safe to walk around the town after dark after we enquired as to whether it was safe after dark near the hotel.

This was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had! Everyone at the front desk was nice and friendly, rooms were clean, location was perfect and affordable and felt safe, and the breakfast very good especially the omelets! We will definitely stay here again for our next Louisville trip!

I was looking for a place the had parking ($15 a day), breakfast, and in a safe location. This hotel lived up to all three. Its a little older hotel but it provides everything that is needed. Parking is one of the cheapest in the area. I did not hear any of the rooms around me even through it was a fully booked night. Overall great experience here.

Amazing staff, very welcoming. The front desk let us do an hour late check out. We couldn’t wake up for breakfast and it was 10 already, the woman working at the breakfast place was very sweet. She went inside to get me breakfast and turned the juice machine on again to let me have some juice.

We had a nice stay! I knew ahead of time from other reviews that the pool would be closed, and I called ahead of time to verify. Staff was very nice. I thought the breakfast was pretty good. My husband didn't have a ton of choices, but he is diabetic and doesn't eat certain meats (so that's on him.) Our room had a faint smell of sweat (?) upon entering that was kind of off-putting, but it wasn't overwhelming. I think part of that is just me being pickier as I get older? Also the mattress was just ok. Decent enough for the price range. Carpets were in good shape, bathroom was clean and had vinyl floor put in somewhat recently. Hot water and good pressure in the shower. We had to get the card keys because the app lock wasn't working, which wasn't a big deal, I prefer the physical key anyway!

Near perfect stay during Memorial Weekend for two nights. The location was perfect for a electric scooter ride to wherever we needed to go (specifically the Big Four Bridge). The staff was super friendly upon arrival around 9pm on a Friday. Super clean room, no huge frills, pool was closed but did not care. We had a peaceful rest on a nice bed. Breakfast from 6a-10a which was convenient. Nothing fancy or out of the ordinary, but was enjoyable and there was plenty of food. The whole hotel is gated as well as the parking. We had no tampering with our vehicle or anything taken out of the truck bed. Again, another great night of sleep and then an early morning departure. I would come back if the opportunity presented itself and would definitely recommend.

Hilton Hotels prides itself in being the leader in hospitality service. That is not the case for this particular hotel. The hotel room had a broken door on the vanity, the bathroom ceiling was peeling, and the bed was the most uncomfortable bed. I was super excited when Hilton announced its partnership with Peloton as I’m a supporter of both companies. Well, that excitement quickly went away when not one person who worked at the hotel knew how to assign an account to the bike. I decided I would use some dumbbells to work out, well that was difficult because it was missing multiple weights. Pretty excited I would been able to take a swim after a long day of work….wait that was being repaired as well but didn’t say that when I booked my hotel room.

I am a gold member but when I checked in my name was not used, I was not offered a water, and I sure didn’t expect to pay $15 to park my own car in the lot, my membership was not mentioned. Got to my room and the deadbolt on the door didn’t work, the sliding closet doors were broken and useless, and the toilet seat is so loose it’s falling off. The room was spotless and nice so it’s a shame to have the other experiences. Lastly, isn’t there supposed to be a microwave in the king suite? Thank you.

Location was great. Walking distance to the downtown area with KFC Yum center and surrounding restaurants. Stayed on the 8th floor and it was decently quiet. Our bed was a bit hard. Bathroom fan wasn't up to par so #2 in the room was stinky... We felt appreciated as Hilton honor members with the free water and cookies in the room. Fridge and HVAC worked well. Parking is included in the room rate. We used the self-check-in via app and it was SO EASY. Highly recommend.

For the price, it just wasn’t worth it. The pool was closed (not disclosed when I booked) and I was hit with a parking fee at check in. I felt like I had been ripped off. The room was nothing to brag about. Worn furnishings and just barely average by any reasonable hotel standards, but certainly not up to Hilton standards. I hoped that the breakfast would make up for it, but i was underwhelmed by how flavorless the food was. I expected better from Hilton.

Great location to downtown! Convenient location! The hotel is very clean and comfy- i dont stay at Hampton Inn usually but hotel was good. Few downsides 1) they ran out of toothbrushes 2) the night front desk person was questioning why i needed a second room key!

Good downtown location. Room looked old, smelled like a wet dog had been in the room at some point. Bathroom looked remodeled. You can hear everything on the street even though I was on the 6th floor. Fire department goes down the street on a regular basis. Breakfast buffet was good, although cereal selection was only sugary kid ones. Room price way too high for what is offered.

People were great, breakfast was pretty good. Rooms were ok…a little old need some touch ups. Some of the a/c units were old and leaked and some of the locks on the doors need to be fixed some. But over all a great hotel in a good location.

  • 3/5 Cecelia G. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms were small and in need of updating. The bed frames were made from plywood and creaked with the slightest movement. There was only 1 electrical outlet in the bathroom and only one on one side of the bed and none on the other. We ended up moving a lamp with an outlet in the base so we had an outlet on each side of the bed. The hotel is also about a block from a fire station, so if you're looking for a nice, quiet stay, this is not the hotel for you. The hotel even has a sign at the desk that states as much. The upside is that the staff was very friendly and the room was clean.

  • 3/5 Collin B. 1 year ago on Google
If possible, bring your own pillow. These are very soft and have no support at all. Other than that, the rest of the hotel, including the breakfast was great. Parking prices seems kind of steep just to be able to park and stay at the hotel…

  • 5/5 Lexi L. 1 year ago on Google
Hotel is nothing extremely fancy but it’s a great place to stay if you want to be downtown for a night or two but don’t want to spend $200-$400 a night! Room were very clean and no weird smells. They provide free tampon and pads for women who need them. It’s in walking distance of many restaurants, bars, and clubs. I don’t remember the front desk lady’s name but she was a black woman in her 20’s or 30’s and she seriously was the nicest hotel desk person I’ve ever met in my life. Like she was so nice and sweet I would give her 10/10 if she had her own google review page. There is a $15 a night parking fee but it’s downtown Louisville so you’re gonna have to pay to park anywhere.

I'm almost speechless what we have endured since shortly after checking in. It's almost 2am and still not rested at all. When we arrived we were getting unpacked and trying to get something to eat when my sister turned down the sheets, HAIR EVERYWHERE!!! Gum, candy, dirty cup, balloon and just filthy. Absolutely uncalled for. The front desk lady was so very kind and she apologized and then told us she'd switch rooms to 221 from 205. My sister has been cleaning room 221 for almost 2 1/2 hours now and without gloves and took videos and photos. I cannot express to you how exhausted we are. Our Dad is on the ventilator and he's about to have a leg amputation soon. All we wanted was near him. This is so disappointing. I cannot believe what I've seen. It's too late to try to check out and my sister has used 2 entire cans of Lysol and wipes on this room. We have got to rest. But please contact me in the morning by calling up to our room or my cellphone. The gentleman tonight said we should at least get reembursed for all this trouble. I'm not trying to be picky but with Covid and all we are going through, we didn't need this.

The hotel was a few blocks from the Convention Center and 4th Street Live and was a reasonable price. However we had 2 washcloths for 4 people and we asked for more. They didn’t have anymore and gave us hand towels and a floor towel to use as washcloths. That happened on both days of our stay even after asking the front desk to make sure we had washcloths the second day of our stay. We had to pay a $15 parking fee for their own parking lot! We were given a slip to put in our vehicle window. I understand not wanting others to park in their lot and that slip was needed but you shouldn’t have had to pay an extra fee. The slip should come free with your hotel stay I believe.

Hotel was up to date, nice location and modern in style. However the walls were paper thin and we could hear the conversation of our neighbors as if they were in our room. A little annoying when you want to sleep. The cleanliness of the bathroom and room could use some improvement. The linens were clean and shower and toliet, but you can tell it doesn't get a thorough cleaning. A used spoon was on the shelf in our closet. There was splatter of something on the bathroom walls and door. There was also a smear of something on the shelf under the sink with the hand towels. Floor was a bit dirty. Not the cleanest place, but unfortunately we have also stayed at places worse.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Downtown Louisville while our grandchild was not expected to live at Norton Children’s hospital. The care and compassion shown to our entire family by the Hampton staff is an experience we will never forget. They freely shared their tears, prayers and hugs with us! We are thankful our grandchild survived and we are thankful for our “angels” that were there for us at Hampton Inn Downtown Louisville. We are forever grateful to you! Thank you!
