Solid
discount
hotel.
It's
an
old
Holiday
Inn,
and
still
has
most
of
the
amenities
you'd
expect
(a
breakfast
buffet,
iron,
fridge,
and
microwave
in
each
room,
etc.)
Clean,
good
water
pressure,
hot
water,
rooms
are
quiet,
etc.
The
hotel's
aging,
but
everything
works
great.
The
staff
are
friendly
and
helpful,
and
the
other
guests
were
delightful
/
would
joke
around
with
each
other
(e.g.,
at
one
point
a
few
folks'
keycards
stopped
working
and
needed
to
be
reprogrammed).
Some
of
the
other
reviews
pointed
out
something
that
makes
sense
in
hindsight—the
lower
floors
of
the
hotel
are
a
homeless
shelter,
and
the
upper
levels
are
a
hotel.
But
to
be
honest,
this
didn't
bother
me—the
hotel
itself
was
fine,
almost
a
little
grand
in
its
retiring
'later
years',
and
although
I
probably
saw
a
couple
of
folks
who
were
staying
in
the
lower
part
of
the
building
they
were
perfectly
friendly
and
courteous
in
the
lobby.
In
a
world
where
housing
prices
are
spiraling,
and
hotel
/
Airbnb
prices
aren't
far
behind,
I'm
glad
Louisville
is
thinking
outside
of
the
box
on
how
to
make
the
most
with
what
it
has.
I
got
to
save
hundreds
of
dollars
and
stay
close
to
downtown,
in
a
clean
and
quiet
spot.
Many
people
who
would've
been
on
the
street
in
sub-freezing
conditions
had
a
place
to
live.
That
feels
like
a
win
all
around,
to
me.
