Booked on Trip.com. One thing they don't tell you is that their air conditioning will only work after daylight saving time switch over. Almost 80 degrees in here and all the attendant can tell me is to open the windows. Well, one window won't open, and the other one only opens 3 inches. And the water pressure sucks. No snack machines, and the drink machines are all empty. Also, this place is right next to a large homeless population. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Here is where the club, Jerry Green and Friends, is located. It's on the first floor. There is a dress code. The band is phenomenal! I practically danced the entire night! There is no food here but there is a lovely woman in the lobby selling her homemade pizza. Very tasty. The service was somewhat fast considering how packed it was in each section. I had a blast. They have a Motown night on Thursdays

This hotel saved my life. I was driving to family in Michigan from Nashville. My car broke down at 1am in a rough area just outside of downtown. I didn't have any cell service, so I was truly stranded. A couple of gentlemen walked by and informed me that this hotel was close and always had room for walk-ins. After about 45 minutes, I got my car 5 blocks to the hotel. They had a room and everyone was so courteous despite it being after 2am. Check out was at noon and they offered breakfast, but I had to catch a bus at 10am so I wasn't able to appreciate those amenities. The lobby was gorgeous and the rooms were comfy. Plus it's not-for-profit and an incredible ministry.

This place has old tires laying on the parking lot. Initially I pleased they offered 24 hr lot security but when I saw the lot I knew why. There were people digging through the trash right outside the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly though - that is the best I can say. Rooms were visibly clean but a little more inspection tells otherwise. The sheets felt so rough from the hard core bleach or usage amount - don't wanna know which. We saw crazy stuff outside the hotel and from the window. We felt so unsafe and uncomfortable we left at 1am and didn't even attempt sleep. Trust me, spend a few more dollars for comfort and peace of mind. Don't be like me.

From the time we walked through the Filthy Dirty revolving Doors. To Front Desk where attendant could not find us in computer who had to call supervisor to be able to locate us and get checked in (20 minutes later) to the Dirty Elevators. To entering room of smelling of smoke and weed. Tv reception was terrible. No working phone in room. Had to call from our cell phone to get WI-FI password. No Iron in Room . No Trashcan in Bathroom. Windows looking out over parking lot was Dirty. Hotel located near homeless section of town. Would most definitely recommend not staying there. Pay an extra few dollars to stay a better and safer Hotel . Positive’s on site parking and sheets on bed was brand new.

What kind of cheap hotel only uses the air conditioning during daylight savings??? It is incredibly hot in here and the windows don’t open wide enough to get cooler air flow. Bathroom is dark and cramped. Otherwise, the place is clean and the employees are nice. Needs improvements badly.

We stayed here due to a family member having an event here. I was very skeptical about this place. But it wasn't that bad at all. Especially for the price. The room was a nice size, and everything was clean for the most part. No insects were running around, and the shower was nice and hot. With that said, it is clearly not a 5 star hotel. There was no ac in the room. The TV was old and didn't have a remote. The rug could use a good shampoo. Overall, i doubt if I stay again, but I would recommend for people on a budget.

Booked and cancelled this "Hotel" through Hotels.com. This is a transitional home for the homeless as well as a hotel. Which was not disclosed when we booked our trip. We booked two rooms with two queen beds for our trip. When we arrived, the front desk attendant stated that he could only find one room, and that this was not his problem. "If it isn't in the system he can't do anything about it." We tried showing our booked reservations but he continued to dismiss us. He then proceeded to tell us that we would need to pay again for the 2nd room We knew this wasn't some 5 star hotel and we were okay with that, but the lack of customer service was appalling at best. I would not recommend Hotel Louisville to anyone visiting.

I come here regularly to dance on Friday nights. Great snacks are included in the $5 cover. The dance floor is big. The service is always wonderful and the staff are very nice. They make their own fabulous pizza to sell at the dances, by the slice or whole.

Beds were very uncomfortable & there were a couple of days when it was really cold in the room w/no heat. The carpet was sticky filthy & the cloth chair was nasty stained. But, considering that I was at Hotel via a program called called Respite & on a medical based floor, which was all free to me, I give it a 5+ overall situational rating.

Place full of wonderful helpful loving people. They love the Lord and they show it and how they reach out to the community and others it's in need of help. Our motorcycle rights organization the kma/kba had our Easter basket run today to take people in need. At wayside, pastor Tim and his lovely wife Nina truly have a heart for those in need in the Lost.

Hotel Louisville. Pretty good place. Cardinal's crossing's cafe is good too. I'm a wayside Christian mission alumnist 92-94 delivery driver. Nothing to brag about just remember what it's like to be homeless.

I came in two weeks ago and ordered a red meatloaf lunch. I'm not sure what I was served but it certainly wasn't ground beef meatloaf. It had a very weird taste.

The room and hotel was filthy, inside and out. Wallpaper bubbling and peeling in the room. Carpet was filthy and threadbare in spots. Extremely hot, no way to the adjust the temperature in the room. The hotel is mostly a homeless shelter, only the top 2 floors are for hotel guests. Although it is a nonsmoking hotel, someone on our floor was smoking. There is an inch and a half gap at the bottom of the room doors. So the smell of cigarette smoke blew right into out room. We left at that point and checked into another hotel.

Legendary Hotel and it has been rundown by addicts and homeless individuals. Hotel does not have a/c in any of the rooms. Rooms are very nasty and filthy! Food is nasty. Good staff members.

Fantastic rate for a great hotel. I made a mistake while making the reservation, which would have been a huge headache at any other place. Thankfully, William at the front desk solved my issue in no time at all, and was a pleasure to talk to on top of that. Many thanks!!

Historic building, feels like traveling back in time. Clean rooms, convenient location, friendly staff, and great value. The in house club Jerry Green and Friends was also a great show with very talented performers. I will stay here again any time I’m traveling through Louisville.

Although many of the reviews have valid points, in my stay I believe this is the best hotel you can get for under $100 a night. It's isn't close to even 3 star amenities but for a festival where you just need a bed to sleep this can NOT be beat for the price. we were lucky enough that A/C was on though.

I was living there a few years ago. I was there for addiction treatment. My DOC was alcohol. One of my "jobs" was to serve ALCOHOL! What type of treatment center is this? I do not believe they help anyone when they do things like this. It's like a crack dealer saying he's going to treat you and you have to sell crack!!

Great value and location. Very friendly staff. Place helps out people who need it as well. Recommend they get better drapes though, too much light coming in at night.

This hotel gets this review from me STRICTLY from the cardinal crossing cafe... It's the best place to grab an affordable bite to eat in Louisville and it helps a good cause.

A great location but seems a bit undesirable on the outside. You'll be surprised when you get inside though. There might be a few sketchy characters roaming around however everyone was friendly. I think some people may live there. The rooms were a bit dated but clean. Theres a nightclub downstairs also. The breakfast wasn't much so we skipped that and went to waffle house. Would stay here again simply bc of the price and location.

Was there from Nov. 3rd to Nov. 6th. The staff and cleanliness was great. We were there for the Jamie and Junior Birthday line dance event and the staff that prepared and served our 3 meals each day was over the top. Hats off to Hotel and staff. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Were I saw eyes of God with my Angel "Monica" as we, were both found in his favor when we both stood in worship and trembling at his presence. We were both treated like dirt underneath the shoes of a very bad system that runs this place. The salads that we both ordered were more than enough.

A sincere thank you to Hotel Louisville for canceling our hotel reservation that was made 6 months ago 😊 here you are being shady canceling our price to get double for a new booking but in reality you saved us from staying at a almost dangerous (and filthy) place ❤️ lesson learned. Dont book that far in advance and get an Airbnb 😊

Solid discount hotel. It's an old Holiday Inn, and still has most of the amenities you'd expect (a breakfast buffet, iron, fridge, and microwave in each room, etc.) Clean, good water pressure, hot water, rooms are quiet, etc. The hotel's aging, but everything works great. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the other guests were delightful / would joke around with each other (e.g., at one point a few folks' keycards stopped working and needed to be reprogrammed). Some of the other reviews pointed out something that makes sense in hindsight—the lower floors of the hotel are a homeless shelter, and the upper levels are a hotel. But to be honest, this didn't bother me—the hotel itself was fine, almost a little grand in its retiring 'later years', and although I probably saw a couple of folks who were staying in the lower part of the building they were perfectly friendly and courteous in the lobby. In a world where housing prices are spiraling, and hotel / Airbnb prices aren't far behind, I'm glad Louisville is thinking outside of the box on how to make the most with what it has. I got to save hundreds of dollars and stay close to downtown, in a clean and quiet spot. Many people who would've been on the street in sub-freezing conditions had a place to live. That feels like a win all around, to me.

Hotel Louisville was an unexpected surprise. We were traveling from the Lafayette, IN area but were in town for a Kansas concert. The service was pretty great and Will at the front desk was wonderful help. This is truly a wonderful place if you are okay with a slightly rough neighborhood. There is security and that was a reassuring aspect of this Hotel. At the end of the day this is a very special hotel that does so much to give back to the Louisville area.
