I don't generally write reviews about hotels unless something is very good or not good, but I'm hoping this will help you make an informed decision. First the good: The staff was fabulously friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed, clean, had a nice little kitchenette, and was spacious. I was on the 7th floor in room 723. The elevators both worked the whole week I was there and were exceptionally speedy. Pickup area for Uber, etc. is safe and convenient. The location is good if you need to be downtown to attend a Cardinal's game, etc. The not so good: Parking is horrible! You have to park in a parking deck that is poorly lit and has a filthy elevator. You carry your luggage from the car (almost always parked on the 3rd or higher level because the first several levels are reserved) to the elevator, through the flow of garage traffic, over two curbs, through a rock area of about six feet, to the sidewalk that takes you to the hotel. This is not for anyone that is disabled or wishing not to get wet in the rain. And for this you pay $25 a night. A downtown hotel should have valet for that price given that parking garage situation. Rooms: There is one row on each floor with a decent view (of the main road and it's buildings). This faces the front of the hotel. The rest of the rooms look out over some pretty nasty rooftops. The room I was in, was very quiet being at the end of the hall (a plus for me). The room A/C will not turn off. You can set it to off, but it doesn't stop so by mid afternoon it's freezing in the room. Downtown is considered a "food desert" by the locals and they are correct. There are no food markets, drug stores, or budget restaurants close by the hotel. Expect to pay $18 for a hamburger, $20 for a taco salad, etc. at a few places within walking distance. Finally, it is a pet friendly hotel and the staff is very kind about pets. I do not regret taking my small dog but I mention it because there is no grass for potty duty unless you walk several blocks to a municipal park. There are a few wood chip or rock areas (approx 3-4 feet) that surround some of the trees that are installed in the sidewalks, but that's all. The frontage road is very busy, hold tight to your pooch. A little dog did fine but I wouldn't want to try it with a large dog (hope that helps). Final note...stop at the front of the hotel to check in before going to the parking garage!! They need to give you a pass to use the garage. This should honestly be sent in an email prior to your arrival.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Free drinks and appetizers on Wednesday evenings. Hot breakfast every morning with fresh fruit. Lobby is inviting and has a nice pool table to enjoy. There's a nice grill area outside for cooking out . I really like this hotel when staying in Louisville. Plus it's pet friendly and elevators are fast which is really aggravating at some of the other downtown hotels.

In town to celebrate my birthday with my boyfriend and this was a great spot! Rooms are so spacious and the kitchenette provided enough space to cook in the room and have groceries and beverages in room as well. One could truly live there! There is a pool table and free hot breakfast. We chose to dine at the local restaurants. Wild Eggs is a popular spot and delicious! Everything is in walking distance. 4th st is the touristy area. Third Street Dive bar is on 3rd st (go figure) Met a couple locals and had a great time! We will be back and stay here again😊

We had the most amazing time at this hotel. I rolled out the red carpet for my son’s graduation. The hotel manager could not have been nicer. All of the staff were very happy and very accommodating. I would highly recommend staying there. This is one of the places that I would say still really understands what service should be like.

This hotel was satisfactory for our brief stay in downtown Louisville. I selected a studio king for me and my two kids to stay in for one night. It was nice to be able to spread out in the spacious room and use the extra amenities that a suite offers such as a refrigerator and a pull out couch. The pool and work out facilities were clean and spacious, but the windows faced the city street, so privacy was limited. There also wasn’t a hot tub, which would have been nice after a long drive. Their courtyard is tucked away, though, and appeared to be a very nice place to relax. Breakfast included hot options, but the waffle maker was not out which was a bummer. The parking was plentiful and much cheaper than advertised (only $9), but they don’t have a connected garage, so use of a luggage trolley is limited. Overall, I would stay here again, especially if I was going to visit the nearby museums or the convention center.

This hotel has it all!! If you have a family with kids, the 2 bedroom is a must have! It's the perfect set up and so convenient! We stayed here for 8 days. The location could not have been better. We rented a car and only needed it to drive to other parts of Louisville and other cities farther away. The parking for the hotel is in a garage that's very close but not as close as the uncovered public lot (which is also a few dollars cheaper a night which is strange). The indoor pool is such a great amenity. It's on the first floor and you can see outside which is really cool. The fitness center looked great too! The breakfast every morning was absolutely delicious. Lot of offerings! And the coffee is actually good!! We took advantage of outside terrace. There are heaters, fire pits (which didn't happen to work the one night we wanted to use them but we saw them on other nights), grills, TV's, and comfortable seating. They have a pop up bar nightly, and on Wednesdays they offer a complimentary evening social. The charcuterie platter and salad were perfect. Beer and wine were also offered. There's a pool table inside too! The only complaint I have is that we could have really used this show in the room. Since the rooms have a kitchen we used a lot of utensils. Running the dishwasher is an option but sometimes you just need to clean stuff by hand. Other than that I would 110% recommend this hotel! It was fantastic and we would return next time we're in Louisville!

Fantastic place to stay. It may not be the most budget friendly but it’s worth the splurge. The staff is amazing and friendly. The breakfast is top notch and had a little bit of something for everyone. The room we stayed in was big and spacious (it was a queen suite with kitchenette). Absolutely pleased with our stay.

It was nice to stay somewhere clean. Shower nice and hot. When the tv remote battery died, they brought a new remote up straight away. They had no control over the crazy kids running around screaming in the lobby playing on the pool table but I just walked through the lobby as quick as I could. Was a bit annoyed of the 2 week wait on refund of holding charge which is full price(effectively paying twice) but at least I got it back. Also annoyed the booking dept pressure you like a sales call to a discount offer on a potential future hotel stay and then ask your bank info to sign up. (Obviously I rejected.) Overall though, apart from the booking process, I recommend to stay here for the fact it is secure, clean and the room was quiet and very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

My family came to Louisville to celebrate my son's birthday. We stayed in a one bedroom suite. Our room was immaculate. Hands down the cleanest hotel room, I have stayed in a very long time. The beds were comfortable. The lobby has a wonderful fireplace and plenty of seating to relax by yourself or with your group. The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful. There was a young lady working the desk when we checked in she assisted with parking information and a pass to park in the garage. I recommend the garage parking because it is clean, safe and steps from the lobby entrance. The gentleman working overnight during our stay was so friendly and eager to answer any questions we had. I wanted to add a gift card to my payment method at check out, and the gentleman at the desk went above and beyond for me to make that happen. He never made me feel rushed even when others were waiting behind me to be helped. He made sure my payment was correctly updated and that my refund was processed before I left the hotel. I appreciated the extra time he took to handle my issue. The hotel itself is in a nicer part of the city. I felt safe during the duration of my stay. The lobby was always clean. The pantry/sundry area was well stocked and not overpriced. Next time we come back to Louisville, we will be sure to stay here again!

Overall, the hotel room was pretty clean, and the location was nice. It was a little of the beaten path and that is okay. You do have to pay for parking here but there is nice lot that is pretty reasonable on the side of the building. I will say that the breakfast, although it was included, was really bad. There was even a homeless person sitting in the breakfast room who just walked in off of the street.

The staff at the hotel were great. Hilton customer service reps were abysmal. It is obvious that their training is geared to deny deny deny. If you EVER book with Hilton, pray you never have an issue because you will not find a customer service rep that is interested in helping the customer or perhaps they honestly can’t. It took four hours of being on the phone getting hung up on and disconnected before I lost my cool (it was not my attitude that caused the poor customer service). Luckily my wife and I had a place to sleep because the staff at the hotel sold us a room. I feel sorry for any employees of Hilton since it it obvious that your only job is to make sure customers get taken advantage of. As of right now, my $200 room has cost me over $500. Good luck to all of you who chose to use Hilton ever again. If you are a Hotel owner who is interested in their customers, do not make the mistake by allowing Hilton to manage your property or becoming a franchisee.

The room is spacious since I booked with a little kitchen. It's clean and tidy. The shower pressure is too low and you have to be patient waiting until the soap and shampoo are washed out. Location is very good near to most of the decent restaurant. Parking is not free. You will pay $23 a day if you get a parking spot next to the hotel building. Breakfast is free with decent selection.

I stayed here during a very busy weekend. The hotel was clean and well appointed. Nice decor. But when it came down to things that mattered for me most, I was disappointed. Front desk staff was great, helpful and friendly. My room overall was good but I found hair on the floor in the bathroom, which happens I guess but unappealing. Then the pullout sofa had a stain (seemingly urine) on it so we didn't use it. It appeared to have been washed but stain didn't come out. Mattress cover should be replaced. I had an adjoining room where there was graffiti on the base of the bed. Looked like kids wrote on it. The absolute worst was the breakfast. I've traveled a lot and the fact that this breakfast was extra is embarrassing. Totally mismanaged and unprofessional. There was one lady running the whole thing. Condiments were empty and or sticky. Food trays were never full. Waffle machine was in operation only 2/4 days and on the last day she brought individual cups for batter. And the spatulas were dirty. There were only danishes 1 day. And the dishware wasn't even stocked. By the fourth day they put out paper plates and cups. They also ran out of coffee! And while I understand this situation must have stressed the ONE person running the cafe, she was not the most pleasant. She needed to stay in the kitchen and someone should've been working the cafeteria and communicating to her what was low while also cleaning up from the breakfast traffic. And I did see staff by the front desk chatting that could've helped her more. The breakfast service, lack of options, and disorganization makes me want to give the hotel a 1! But like I said the rooms were clean enough and the other staff was great. When you are booked y'all need to plan accordingly and have all hands on deck for optimal service so your guests aren't disappointed and your staff isn't stressed.

Rooms are very nice and very clean. For the most part it was wonderful. There were a few negative marks though. 1. Permanently affixed shampoo in the shower was empty, was unable to tell until taking a shower. 2. Remote had a million buttons, and was very difficult to use in low light. Also the TV had no advanced connectivity like other Hilton properties have. 3. ***PARKING*** adjacent to the hotel is a garage. This was the recommended parking. It provided the ability to pay on the hotel bill which was very convenient. However, the garage was difficult to navigate, with very narrow curved ramps. There were only cameras on the first level. That level is reserved. Once up to a level were hotel guest could park there were no cameras. It seems that everyone knows that. When I went to depart, when returning to my car the driver's door glass was shattered, and the center console's contents were strewn through the car. Getting door glass repaired while on a vacation is not easy or fun. If it weren't for the parking I would return here, but I am not sure I could given the circumstances.

I did enjoy staying here. Great location, everything is walking distance for the sightseeing. Room was very clean and I really liked the room design. I arrived here earlier than the check in time but the reception lady was friendly and got a room for me. Kitchen is nice and there was a good size refrigerator too. It was absolutely wonderful experience here and I would love to come back here again.

Recently stayed with a group on Business. The general Manager Karen and the rest of her team worked with me so well with all of our needs and requests. What was a 30 day pre stay process up to our week long time on their property they took care of us and went above and beyond for my entire group. They delivered our bill in a timely manner and even corrected errors we had pointed out to match down to the cent. I would recommend this hotel 1000%.

Really enjoyed our two night stay here. Everyone we spoke with at the front desk was super friendly. Room was quiet, very clean and spacious, and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was good with a lot of variety. Close to the Louisville Slugger Museum, but it was about a mile walk down to Angel’s Envy distillery. Had a great lunch around the corner at Main Eatery! We got nervous about the parking garage after reading some of the reviews on here, but ended up using it anyway since we wanted in and out privileges and it was only $1/day more than the open lot next to it. We just made sure to keep anything out of sight in the car, and had no problems at all. Also didn’t find it any tighter than any other city garage in our small SUV.

Excellent location near local attractions. You can walk, scoot, or Uber around easily. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. The staff enhanced the usual boring items with added veggies and cheese.

Great location for walking to Bourbon Trail sites. Clean and spacious room with very nice kitchenette. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a relaxing stay with no issues. :-)

Walkable to a bunch of restaurants, bourbon tastings. The bathroom and room were soooooooo clean!!!! Front desk lady (I forgot to get her name, but she was working when we checked in and out, July 20-21st. Lovely place to stay and lovely city. Parking was right next to the hotel, plenty of lights so we felt safe leaving the car there. You could barely hear neighbors upstairs or next door.

Rooms were new, clean, and spacious. Hotel staff was some of the nicest I've ever seen. We had the dog with us and they were so friendly to him the entire stay. Location was very central to everything. The hot breakfast buffet and happy hours were a plus.

5 star stay and room! We came to town for a convention and our stay was great. Walking in, the lobby was very clean and welcoming. We were greeted by Antoine and we had prepaid so everything was ready. We were also happy our room was available at 3 vs 4pm. Our room was immaculately clean and well stocked. I loved the kitchen and the shower amenities. The halls were quiet and the evening social hour they had was great. The bed was very comfortable. The pool was small but clean. Will was the late night concierge and he was great. Check out was easy and painless. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. Our checkout was added to by the beautiful lady blessing the lobby with her vocal skills. I apologize I didn't get her name but everyone referred to her as "Sparkles" There are so many details I could add but Thank you Homewood Suites Louisville Downtown for a great stay!

We stayed here a week and everything was wonderful! The only thing I can say was the bed wasn't that comfortable but nothing beats your own bed anyways. The breakfasts every morning were great! The customer service also was on point! Definitely would stay here again.

We loved everything about this hotel!! The service was amazing. The bar that was offered in the evening was awesome. We were able to grab a cocktail - that was tasty! - and head out to the courtyard. It was heated and cozy. Breakfast was hot and fresh. The variety was great. Everyone from the hotel we came in contact with was so friendly, helpful, and full of personality. It was a wonderful stay.

This hotel was great! We have stayed at this brand before and have always had a wonderful experience! The staff was very courteous and helpful! They were very knowledgeable about the area and gave great recommendations on places to dine and things to do. We will definitely be back!!!

Location and parking are great, hotel is fairly new. Service, room cleanness and breakfast are lacking, along with poorly equity fitness and tiny pool. Room cleaning is by schedule only and will not happen if requested before and after traditional 8-5pm hours. There is no scheduling system, it is done verbally at reception and therefore subject to issues. We requested one cleaning during our 4-days stay and no one showed up

Up-to-date and well maintained property with a good downtown location. One of the nicest outdoor areas at any Homewood I've stayed. Rooms were comfortable and well-mainted. Particularly enjoyed the tile walk-in shower and good water pressure. The staff was exceptional. Friendly, helpful and professional, and gave warm greetings every time leaving or coming in. The only con's were that the exceptional outdoor space, which is an atrium surrounded by the hotel, is locked at 11 every night, and the breakfast was not stellar. More Hampton style than what I'm accustomed to at Homewoods, but maybe that's the norm post-pandemic.

I typically don't write public reviews on Hilton hotels as a Diamond member, but I was disappointed with an incident. I was not acknowledged as a Diamond member (not a big deal, but wanted to note). Compared to 2020 (during the riots), I was happy to see that some renovations had been made to the bathroom. Overall, the staff is friendly, location is good, and it was a clean hotel with the basic amenities for a Homewood Suites. Parking is $20 in the garage, but I understand it is not owned by the hotel. The reason I gave it 3 stars was due to an incident I had at breakfast. The employee running the breakfast area was unprofessional. I tried my best to not let it ruin breakfast, but when the employee made a comment a few minutes later about me to another employee as I was standing 4 feet away from them, that's when I snapped. I told the employee I did not appreciate them talking about me as I stand right next to them. Both employees acted as if they were talking about someone else. After cooling down, I went downstairs and apologized for snapping and the employee apologized also. We hugged it out. We all have bad days and I understand in this industry you have to deal with a lot.

I rate the hotel a 5 through and through. Love those blackout curtains. I slept so well AND there were fans in the rooms over the bed. It was never too cold from the air conditioner and always the right temperature. Breakfast was lovely and everyone was super friendly 😊. I would come here again and I would look for something similar wherever I went on vacation or for business.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were nice, the rooms were nice and clean, and the location was excellent. A couple things to consider. 1. Location is excellent. It is walking distance to the convention center, 4th Street (retail & restaurants) and also to museum row. 2. They will clean your room only upon request. However, they respond really quickly if you request towels or garbage to be picked up etc. 3. Breakfast is included in your stay and it's available until 10 am. Be prepared to wait for the 2 waffle makers. 4. Parking is kind of strange. There is an outdoor lot adjacent the hotel that is city owned. It's about $18/day. There is also a parking deck on the opposite side of the city owned lot. It is $20/day but more of a hassle to get in and out of. We had to call for help bc the card readers didn't work properly, so we couldn't exit. 5. Full kitchen in the rooms is a really big plus. They also, had utensils, dishes, and some cookware in the suite. 6. It's really hard to find much to complain about at this location. During our stay it was crowded bc of a competition at the convention center but staff managed to keep the kitchen stoked and to keep all of the the common areas clean.

Once again, traveling was made easier by staying at the Homewood Suites in Louisville. The staff was so pleasant and my room was so comfortable. It was great to travel for business and feel safe. Everyone had on masks, and the room was immaculate.

Check in was simple. We booked through a third party and got charged twice so I wasn't happy about that. The front desk people were super friendly. Room was clean. Loved the big walk in shower.

You'll notice that it's very rare for me to like the staff in these places. But this group of people was very personable, polite, accommodating, and very helpful. Until our apartment opened up, it was one of the best experiences we've had in a hotel.

This was a lovely hotel. I definitely will come back it was very clean everywhere smelled wonderful. Staff are very nice. The only downside was the breakfast staff looked a little dirty but I understand your making food they were very nice and respectful just the appearance did not match the hotel which was in prestige shape.

The room was lovely and clean. BUT we got zero sleep all night due to a party bus pulling up to the entrance every 30 minutes all night long, blasting music so loudly that we could understand every word, including the F bomb. When we went to the lobby to check out at 4:00 a.m., there was no one at the desk and at least a dozen young people (who appeared to be under age) in the lobby playing pool, sitting around the lobby, playing music, etc. We dropped our keys into the box since there was no one at the desk and then a young woman appeared (who looked just like the kids in the lobby) to ask if we were checking out. This is not what we have come to expect from Hilton. We would never stay there again.
