Kind of barebones as far as hotels go. No gym, no microwave in the room, and you have to pay to get breakfast which is the type of breakfast that’s usually free at other Marriott locations. The parking garage is really tight, and there’s gated entrance/exit but no point in having the gates since it’s free. That being said, the place is really clean, the rooms were simple but aesthetically pleasing, the beds were comfortable, and the showers are really nice. It’s also in a good location, close to cool coffee shops, restaurants, and shops. The staff are friendly enough.

Unresolved Theft Incident: AC Hotel Louisville Downtown Fails to Address Stolen Dresses On the night of June 15th, I stayed at the AC Hotel Louisville downtown. I was in town to meet my sister for a bachelorette weekend the following day. On June 16th, I checked out of the hotel. However, a few hours after leaving, I realized that I had left behind all my dresses for the bachelorette party. I contacted the hotel immediately to inform them of my situation. The front desk employee assured me that they would search the room for my forgotten dresses. I called back later, but unfortunately, the dresses could not be located, and the staff informed me that they were unable to assist me further. This incident significantly affected the weekend and required me to spend hundreds of dollars, to replace the stolen dresses. I feel that Marriott did not take sufficient measures to locate my stolen dresses. I strongly suspect that a staff member may be responsible for their disappearance. Despite my concerns, the hotel was unwilling to review the security camera footage or offer any additional support or assistance.

The hotel was very clean, sleek, modern, & in a perfect location. Loved the rain shower and the bed was super comfy. The staff is very friendly and Olivia at the front desk was so sweet and helpful! Definitely will be back!

Nice hotel in a good location. Room was minimalist but nice - had a refrigerator, which was great. I was on the top floor and the street noise on a Saturday night was pretty significant. It didn’t keep me up or anything, but I’m a pretty heavy sleeper. The bar has decent food, reasonably priced. But the parking is $22/night, which I found to be pretty high.

Currently staying here. This is our third night. Every night has been worse than the last. Our AC smells of mold. We are waking up with a horrible headache every morning. The thermostat doesn’t register the temperature correctly so it stays hot. Our refrigerator won’t keep cold. Our shower changes temps constantly while using it. We have to constantly ask for more soap and towels. Between 2 people we run out daily. Only stayed here due to it being the hotel for a wedding party. Will not be back to this place again. Highly disappointed. Should be reported to the health dept… And since I’m sure the manager will respond as the usually do, room 228. And yes we told the younger gentleman at the front desk. He said ok and did nothing.

As we walked in the staff welcomed us with unbelievable energy and exuberance. A nice feeling after having spent the day driving. The hotel is clean, seems to be well run, and positioned in a wonderful area with all you'd need when exploring a (new) city. We would absolutely stay here again.

Still amazing! The staff, the bar and the whole hotel is excellent. Amazing rate as well for a high end hotel with such hipster location in NULU. And up and coming area in Louisville. Restaurants and bars are walking distance. I'd say they did go a bit far on breakfast price, but there is an amazing option for coffee and pastries right across the street at place and thank you 👍🙌❤ Overall the hotel is absolutely 💯👌

AC Hotel by Marriott Louisville Downtown is an excellent place to stay. The rooms are modern, clean, and very comfortable, providing all the amenities you could need for a relaxing stay. The staff was friendly and ready to help, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience from check-in to check-out. Its prime location offers easy access to downtown Louisville's attractions. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Louisville.

Location is awesome. The rooms look nice but are as cheaply designed as possible while looking modern. The bathrooms in the rooms have rolling glass doors which is great if you hate privacy. Our shower door wouldn’t close fully because it was also a sliding glass door. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful but we never got our room turned over after the first night we stayed. The breakfast is overpriced and very disappointing. All in all… you’re paying for the location.

Great, new minimalist hotel in up and coming NuLu area of Louisville. Highly recommend. Clean rooms, modern appointments, friendly staff, great vibe, great area with plenty of bars and restaurants easily walkable. Would stay here again. Also, dog friendly and has a secure parking garage.

The hotel is in a excellent location in Louisville to all the action and distilleries. The lobby is clean and modern. Rooms are spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. Slept well and plenty of space to spread your items out. The bathroom is great. Shower has plenty of water pressure, got hot quickly and shower is big. Great stay in a perfect safe location at a reasonable price. Would stay again.

Nice location in NULU close to... good stuff up and down the street. Do go to Butcher town bakery on the next block corner for scones and coffee or Quills on the opposite corner. AC room Note: the shower control can be a bit of a challenge to figure out at 1st.

Check your statement very carefully because there will be additional charges and the staff will not be helpful in correcting. I booked two rooms for two nights Friday to Sunday, and on our second night I received a call that my card was declining (I had swiped a card at check-in but the one in the Bonvoy app was old apparently). She hung up on me when I questioned why they were charging my card again, so I returned to the hotel where she was confrontational and never answered my questions. I presented another card (she had canceled both of my rooms) and over the course of the weekend I received 8 receipts charging two different credit cards for 3 nights (one night was points). My hotel stays also were deleted from Marriott's system and no longer show up in my Bonvoy app, so I cannot verify my receipts (or get hotel stay points). At checkout, other guests were complaining about additional charges on their bills as well. The location is great for this hotel, but be very cautious and watch your credit card statements closely for unauthorized activity.

Reception was good. Room adequate. Bathroom needed maintenance. Toilet seat was loose, toilet paper holder was loose. Shower handle didn’t adjust temperature easily.

We were excited to be at this hotel as a base for our bourbon tour. I've always stayed at AC Marriotts and have never been disappointed. Sadly this was different. The hotel is in a great location, well appointed, and the staff friendly. However the bathroom was dirty and had "splatter" on the wall. We pointed it out multiple times and were assured it would be taken care of along with the entrance light for the room. Neither got taken care of while we were there :-( . There were mutiple weddings at the facility and perhaps the team was overwhelmed. however that does not change the outcome for my wife and I.

Nulu is up and coming but may not be safe to walk around alone at night. Lots of food near by. Hotel rooms were decent although one night it started smelling like sewage from outside. The service at the front desk is outstanding! The bartended during this past week was great, I didn't catch his name but he definitely kept is entertained and was super friendly. Buffet food for breakfast is ok.

They made an unauthorized charge on my account for almost $300. I stayed for a company sponsored event and they said a card was required for incidentals. Much to my surprise when reviewing my credit card statements they had charged me for the hotel stay. This was unauthorized because I left my card for incidentals only and they confirmed upon check in my stay was covered. After calling multiple times I never got a resolution. Once, they told me my company hadn’t paid and they’d send documentation to submit (never happened). Another, no response. In addition to having to waste my time filling a claim with my credit card company, my supervisor had to call in to get the situation straightened out. I take credit card security very seriously and to experience something like this from the Marriott brand was disappointing to say the least and showed a complete lack of ethics and customer service. My stay itself was ok. Rooms were ok, but I walked in on room service in my room against my wishes when they were only supposed to come every three days/upon request. Lots of trust violations. Wouldn’t stay here again unless I’m forced to.

I stayed here for my best friends wedding this past weekend (8/18-8/20/23) and am disappointed to say the least. The location is pretty great, but the rooms and service were definitely lacking. The room we were assigned when we checked in had mold on the vents, walls, and ceiling (pictured). In the rush of getting ready for the rehearsal dinner after 7 hours of traveling, we didn’t notice it until we got back to our room later in the evening. At this point they assigned us a new room, and gave us a $15 breakfast voucher. To me, that doesn’t feel like enough of a consolation for breathing in moldy air and having to trudge up 2 floors in the middle of the night before my best friends wedding. I’ve contacted them a few times and have been brushed off “to talk to the GM” every time. I definitely would not recommend staying here.

I mean it was fine, but I’d say the room was so Spartan (‘modern’) so as to feel a bit cheap (or maybe it was just the choice of flooring used in the room). Also the bartender was kinda grouchy. Didn’t have cool and easy vibe of the other AC Hotel I stayed in.

For a downtown hotel, it was okay. I would have expected the rooms to have more things in them, but my stay at the Hampton inn was much better.

Hotel was beautiful and in a great location. Unfortunately, the front desk staff was not unfriendly. I called before checking in to ask about parking and the woman was very rude and was almost trying to make the answer to my question appear difficult. When I checked in, the gentleman at the desk appeared to be very bothered by my presence and mentioned nothing about Wi-Fi, breakfast, ask of how many keys I wanted, incidental information, parking, and no pleasantries what-so-ever. He also let me know the entire hotel was out of water for purchase. The woman working the desk was literally SLEEPING while sitting at the desk when I walked by in the evening. Coming from someone who currently works in the customer service management world and previously was a front desk associate myself years ago, it’s sad to see a beautiful hotel with so much promise be tainted by unwelcoming and unprofessional front desk staff. I would strongly recommend some customer service and professionalism training.

I always like staying at AC Hotels when I travel. This on in NuLu is no different. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was di wrse, fresh and filling. The location was within walking distance to dozens of restaurants, bars, galleries, coffee shops and even a few distilleries. I would stay here again.

Great staff. Nice suite! Scary shower... No safety rods on side wall.. & the shower stall floor is Very slippery!. . Shower Glass door offers nothing to "grab onto" if need be.

My room and bathroom wasn't clean, with hair in the shower, ziploc bags on the floor left by the last guest, and stains on the bed comforter. The A/C unit in my room was in a state of disrepair, periodically making a fun loud jackhammer noise, which maintenance wasn't able to fix. The hotel's business center printer was "broken" and could not be used. The breakfast area had a broken credit card machine that couldn't be used, and no cash on hand so you had to provide exact change to eat if you didn't want to charge the room. The rooms have no full-length mirror which i found odd. And the overall noise level of the room was fairly unbearable with interior and exterior noises all around. On MONDAY, the hotel bar below played very loud music in the street below my window until just past 6am! And when I went to the front desk to ask for a new room and report the A/C issue, I was told none were available, which also upset the guest standing behind me because he too was having the same issue with the A/C unit in his room! All in all.. I would not stay again.

Our room had the bedroom with a 1/2 dividing wall to the living room area. Only window was in the living room area, lighting in room was poor so just a dark feeling. We had a lovely view of the roof - and paid over $350 per night ?! Way overpriced IMO (and I'm from a large city). The HVAC vent was also only in the living area - which lead to a stuffy bedroom area. Bathroom was very modern but lacked hooks (only 1) and no towel bars except one in the shower - lots of bare walls to solve this problem. Sink didn't drain well due to it's modern design. And not sure why someone thinks a toilet seat that is square is comfortable? The door to the bathroom is a sliding one - no privacy on noise. Towels were rough and thin. Parking and breakfast were not included.

I travel frequently, and this location has always been very accommodating and clean with great parking! I recently had some company meetings get shifted creating checkout delays, but Chris and the service team were extremely accommodating and helpful with my luggage and check in/out times. THANK YOU.

This is the only place to stay in downtown Louisville. Wonderful new hotel with fantastic staff. As a 30 year road warrior I have always had a difficult time finding a good hotel in Louisville. So happy to have this one now and will stay here every time I'm in town.

It's a nice hotel but my sink wouldn't drain properly, the lobby elevator only one worked the other was broke. And parking garage has no elevator. The room was modern and I could see the street view. The Cuban restaurant next door is a great restaurant to go to by the way.

Knowing nothing about the hotel, we took a chance and stayed over the Kentucky Derby weekend. We had nothing but the best service all around. Chris, at the front desk, was amazing! He attended to every detail and responded promptly to all our requests and inquiries. He made our stay perfect! It was an amazing experience, beautiful hotel, and wonderful staff. Thank you for one of the best stays in a Marriott hotel I can remember.

I like how spacious the rooms feel. Everything was very clean. Bed super comfortable. Great location, tons of places to eat nearby. Customer service great (check in person near midosuper helpful, as well as person that handled my check-out) except for one very apathetic person I needed information from on the phone. Parking garage had good lighting. Room next to me blasted music for a couple hours but I just put headphones in. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The lighting, decorations and the furniture are very well put together. The bed was very comfortable and as well as the sheet and pillows. The check in was excellent, very similar to my experience with 5-Star properties. Kudos to the front desk agent. There was parking, but our van was way too high, so we parked on the street right at the front of the property. The breakfast was very good and the service was decent.

Paid 20 bucks to park in the garage. Guess I left my car unlocked and somebody decided to go through it and steal from me. Parked on the 3rd floor so I’m not sure how security didn’t catch someone just wandering around going through cars. But paying 20 bucks to park in the hotels parking garage would’ve figured my car would’ve been fine. Fortunately it wasn’t anything too important but still infuriating non the less. The high price of the room and the additional parking fee you’d think they’d do a better job of keeping wanderers out the garage

Honestly I would rather not waste my money getting a room here again. One the floors in our room were very dirty. My socks were dirty and starting to turn black before I had even been in the room for an hour. I was charged a random $90 fee at the beginning of my stay without being notified, and I did not request to pay for the breakfast fee since me and my other guest did not plan on eating breakfast there. The attendant had stated they needed to have my card information on file not that I was being charged anything. They also double charge me for the parking. We stayed for two nights and they charged me both at the time of checkout and at the gate. I had even asked the lady that checked me out if I had to return the keys at the gate and pay there and she said yes. I had originally booked my stay with Expedia so it is my own fault for not looking clearly at the listing to see that there would also be no microwave available in the room. It is a beautiful place with lots of activity, but it's only worth it if have a few hundred in your bank account and you won't notice that they charged you extra.
